La Casa in Collina (A House in the Hills) is in the town of Sorisole, just 5 kilometers/3 miles from Bergamo's city centre, and easily accessible by two different bus lines. La Casa in Collina is located in the Parco dei Colli, a well-known park with rolling hills and beautiful views. It’s really a good accomodation if you want to visit Bergamo and the most part of North Italy (Milano, Torino, Verona, Venezia, the lakes, the Pre-Alps) and to relax in the nature.
The ground floor features an eat-in kitchen that can accommodate up to 7 people as well as a large living room with a fireplace and a single sofa-bed. On the first floor is a large bedroom with a queen-size bed and the option to add a single bed, as well as a full bathroom with a sit-bath. On the second floor is a single bedroom and two additional single bedrooms connected by a common door. There is also a second full bathroom with a shower.
You will have exclusive use of the house during your stay. For maximum flexibility, we offer two options for groups of different sizes:
1. For groups of 1-4 people, rent the ground floor and first floor
2. For groups of 5-7 people, rent the entire house.
The house is completely furnished, and includes a dishwasher, refrigerator, electric stove with oven, a washing machine, television, iron and ironing-board, and hairdryer. The house has an independent heating system.
In front of the house there is a small yard and a pretty garden where you can dine al fresco while admiring the Lombard plain and (on a clear day) the Alps and the Appenine mountains in the distance.
A variety of books for both adults and children, as well as a chess board, playing cards, etc. are available for your use.
We regret that the house is not handicapped-accessible.

The rental price includes all utilities (electricity, gas, water). Booking deposit: 30% of the total amount due. Security Deposit: 150 euros, to be refunded departure. Final cleaning charge: 30 euros (for 2 floors), 50 euros (for 3 floors). Bed linens upon request: 6 euros per person. Credit cards are not accepted. Payment in cash of balance due is requested upon arrival.Children’s cribs provided upon request. Spoken languages: English and French. Public parking.
How to Reach La Casa in Collina
By plane
>From Milano/Orio al Serio International Airport: take bus n. 1 to Bergamo Railway station; in front of railway station, transfer to bus n. 7B to Sorisole. (Alternatively, from Bergamo Porta Nuova, just 300 m. from the railway station, take bus n. 9A to Sorisole).
By train
>From the front of the railway station: take bus n. 7B to Sorisole. (Alternatively, from Bergamo Porta Nuova, just 300 m. from the railway station, take bus n. 9A to Sorisole).
By car
Take the exit Bergamo from the highway A4 Milano-Venezia, in the direction of Valle Brembana (Brembana Valley); at the end of the freeway go straight ahead for 1.2 km beyond the sign for Ponteranica; at the traffic light near the coffee bar Mirò turn to the right and go 950 meters until arrival in the church square of Sorisole.
In the center of the village of Sorisole (5 minutes by foot) there are grocery stores, fruit and vegetable vendors, coffe-bars, restaurants, pizza-shops, pharmacies, a post-office, bank and a historic church with many paintings.
Sorisole is connected by a double bus-line (7B and 9A) to and from Bergamo railway station (25 minutes), the center of Bergamo (20 min), with a connection for Orio al Serio international airport, Accademia Carrara and GAMEC modern art-gallery (10 min.) For more specific directions, please see below.
Immediately outside the front door there are signed walking paths through the countryside and the surrounding hills. The more adventurous trekker may want to tackle Canto Alto, with a height of 1146 metres and a commanding view of the area.
