Malicorne sur Sarthe is known for its ceramics, established in 1924. To visit: Roman church St Sylvestre 1080, the Malicorne castle from 12th century, gateway to Maine region fortress. Mme de Sevigne, famous 17th century French letter writer. The castle was rebuilt in the 17th century. The Moulins de Malicorne are witness to activity along the river bank. One of the Moulins was used to grind the enamel coours needed for decorating the ceramics. ,it is possible to hire boats, motor boats, electric boats and pedaloes.
