Resort: Mugardos is part of the Ferrol district, known for its constantly green countryside and spectacular coastline, not far from the "Camino Ingles" in Compostela, very well known for its rich cuisine. Patron saint fiestas: Dia de San Julian, patron of the city, which takes place on 7th January, Fiestas del Carmen (Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the week beginning 16th July): Maritime procession and squid food tasting (Squid fiesta) and Fiestas de Santiago de Franza (24, 25 and 26 of July). A large "queimada" is made on 24th, 25th is the big day and on 26th Santa Ana is celebrated. Historical sites of interest: Pazo de Rilo (XV century), Casa da Serea (XVI) and the Castillo de A Palma (XVI). Small, historical resort, 14 km south from Ferrol, 44 km north-east from A Coru±a, 88 km north-east from Santiago de Compostela. All shops, restaurants etc. in the resort. Access: access via a road. For arrivals by plane: airport La Coru±a (LCG) 21 km.
