Nestled in the trees and surrounded by water on three sides is part of what makes this charming spot the private little piece of paradise that it is. This private lakefront cottage opens its doors to a level frontage featuring a lovely sand beach that shows well by mid-summer. Water's edge boasts a bright, airy interior and epitomizes all that lends cottaging in the Ontario Lakelands its enduring magic -- a stunning, natural setting in a more than welcoming country haven laid out for comfort in the lap of nature. Lovingly remodeled to maintain that woodsy feeling, Waters Edge has 9 foot pine ceilings, pine cove siding in kitchen and living room, colour-washed pine board and batten walls in the bedroom, airtight fireplace with natural stonework in the living room and comes equipped with satellite TV., microwave, a stationary and floating dock, canoe and paddleboat, fire pit (wood provided), propane BBQ, 2 queen beds and a 3 piece bath. Situated off a small spur road great for peaceful strolls. South of Algonquin Park and just 2.5 hrs. north of Toronto, Waters Edge is just minutes from the 65,000 acre Haliburton Forest and Wildlife Reserve with its groomed trails for mountain biking and hiking, 'A Walk in the Clouds' canopy tour and world-famous Wolf Observatory. Although deep in the woods, Kennisis Lake is only 25 minutes from shopping, golf courses and whitewater kayaking and has a marina and small store for all your last minute supplies and watercraft needs.
