The great room has vaulted ceilings and a huge brick fireplace. The floor to ceiling windows allows the light to fill the room and enhance this homes' natural organic beauty. The main floor has everything you'll need but wait... open a door and proceed to the lower floor and there you'll find an entirely different house, complete with living area, kitchen and bedrooms. This level even has a brook that runs through the back yard! No Treasure map required. This lovely home is located only 120 yards to the beach with awesome ocean views. The two levels are beautifully decorated and feature six bedrooms and three full baths with two full kitchens, living and dining area on each level. This home is perfect for retreats or two to three families. This 3000 sq ft. home with backyard patio and babbling brook is irresistible!

Our only complaints were: we had issues with the hot water. Maintenance did respond right away, however, it still did not work well. We had luke warm showers, downstairs was worse than upstairs. This was touch with 19 women....Also, the upstairs bedroom that opens to the patio was FREEZING! We called it the tundra- BURR! There wasn't alot of deck space for a house so large. It seems that there could be a deck over the downstairs portion on the west side of the house? Otherwise we loved it and would recommend Treasure Rock and the we would come back.Thanks! |

Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 noticed extra care was taken in the preparation of the house- the house keeping crew really had all the towels and amenity items displayed nice, besides the place being neat and clean. we have been to this house several times over the years and everything is pretty much the same as far as linens, furniture, etc, but the care that has been taken of the place between guests is apparent. this time just seemed even nicer- new crew? if so they did a great job presenting a welcoming package! |

I called your office and was told they were permanent. Not true as I removed the larger ones with club soda. If only the garage had been cleaned since most of our group had to pass through it to get the their bedrooms. It was disgustingly dirty as was the patio area where we spent a lot of time out of the sun. Otherwise the rental was perfect. Bedrooms, baths, kitchen very clean. Location perfect. The weather was amazing, the house perfect, the weekend memorable. We were able to get just 3 nights as there was a small opening in the schedule created by other reservations. It was nice that the bedrooms were spread out so everyone could sleep soundly while others were up. The walk to the beach is very short and easy. We found many sand dollars and enjoyed hours of fun on the beach. |

Stayed for 2 days in March, 2012 Home is nicely furnished and equipped but needs some maintenance.The two levels each have their own kitchen so are perfect for multi-family vacation. Upstairs however has the lovely large living room with awesome picture windows looking out at the waves that entire group will want to congregate in and enjoy.We were a bit disappointed with several maintenance issues which all seemed could have been cared for in advance.We came in mid-March with heavy rains. On our arrival, tne downstairs bedroom already had a bucket catching water drips from the ceiling. By second night, another downstairs bedroom had rain water soaking into the carpet - discovered by stepping out of bed in the morning.The downstairs bath had peeling paint and a heavily mildewed shower liner.One upstairs bedroom had a broken wall heater (only heat in room). By the looks of the missing control knob it appeared to be out of commission for a while already.Please, folks, give this place a little more TLC and make a good place into a great place! Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals Owner is aware of the leaks and is in the process of getting it repaired. Thank you and sorry for any inconvenience. Shower curtain has been replaced and heater is working again. |

Stayed for 2 days in October, 2011 We have stayed at this house 2 other times over the last few years and really enjoy it. The only things I would say were disappointing were that the kitchen could be a bit better stocked for cooking in. There weren't enough small spoons for the number of guests the house can sleep, the linens are reduced to rags, no cookie sheets of such, few storage containers- just a rather tattered array of kitchen items- except the white set of plates, bowls, mugs and saucers. There was nothing in the downstairs kitchen to borrow from for the upstairs one- wonder what people do when they just rent the lower half of the house.The single mattress next to the window, in the basement bedroom smelled very strongly of urine and unfortunately it wasn't noticed until it had been slept on- gotten warm from body heat. We do enjoy the house, but noticed things in the house are getting rather tattered in places. |

it was crazy to rent a house that had no CD player. Thankfully one of our gang brought her laptop, so we could play music throu Nancy D. from Tacoma, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2010 When we arrived there were some noticeable stains on the carpets, and we were concerned that we would be blamed for them later. We were assured by property rental company that all stains had been noted prior to our arrival. We did like the sleeping accomodations (very quiet and everybody had a room) and 3 bathrooms for 12 people works well. Having a 2nd kitchen was also fabulous for 12 people who bring all of their food down and all love to cook. We rent a house at the beach (anywhere from Gearhart to Rockaway) and this was one of the better houses for layout, in terms of 12 people each having a room, and the 2nd kitchen (the main kitchen wouldn't be easy for several people to work in). The lower level is strictly bedrooms, a bath and a kitchen, and wouldn't be a pleasant place to rent alone for a vacation, but is perfect for a large group wanting the whole house. It wasn't the best house for creature comforts (no CD player!!) and is a distance from downtown Manzanita, a place we love to spend some time. A long walk, or if weather is bad, you must drive. Views of ocean from main floor were wonderful. |

Only issue was a vacuum cleaner that was so stuffed with debris that it was unusable. Also - is there any reason that the bunk beds in the kids' room are never made? Nothing like trying to get 6 tired kids to bed at 10 p.m. and discovering that the beds need sheets. There were some problems with the electrical wiring causing flames to shoot out of an outlet. It was taken care of right away, but we were told the whole home needs rewiring. Always love it! The one thing that should have been addressed was a big cracked window in the main family room. We were told by the cleaning crew that the group before us cracked the window and that it would be quickly repaired - but no one ever came by or addressed it. It is a large, well kept house with a gorgeous view. The backyard has a wonderfully secluded patio with a fire pit: the perfect gathering place during the evening. The upstairs kitchen was large enough to accommodate quite a few cooks in the kitchen. There are plenty of good sized rooms with lots of comfy beds so none of else felt crammed in. Everything, including the property manager, Betty, made for a very comfortable and memorable stay! We will certainly be staying with Sunset Vacation Rentals again! |
