VICTORIA G. from La Grande, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2016 Great location, walk to town, watch the ocean from the deck. Very dated, but comfortable.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We are so happy you enjoyed your stay. The owner is planning a remodel this fall to include an added bathroom and bedroom. So hopefully you will come back to enjoy the updates.
Jack S. from Gladstone, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2015 My wife and I checked in on Sunday evening and stayed three nights. We love Manzanita, the beaches and quiet atmosphere. The small two bedroom home is adequate for our needs. The view is great even though it's not a complete ocean view. The steps leading up to the house can be dicey because they're not well lit at night.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We are so happy you enjoyed your stay and hope we can help you plan your next vacation here at the beach. We will let the owner know about the lighting issue on the stairs.
Heidi K. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 Brought two cousins and my elderly parents to Manzanita, the weather was awesome and the view was great. The only thing missing was a corkscrew, so I had to make a quick trip to the store, left it at the cabin for the next guests. Going out to the garbage can was a little dicey, scary sliding door.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals Thank you for your review of Brynmarie. We will pass along your concern regarding the sliding door to the homeowner. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and appreciate your kindness of leaving the corkscrew for the next guest.
Julie S. from Seattle, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2015 This home is located a good walk from the town's center, Laneda Ave, and is across the street from the beach. Your view of the beach is mostly obstructed by the houses across the street which are actually on the beach. Still, it's a good location. However, the house itself, especially for the cost, is in dire need of updating. Most of the flooring is the peel-and-stick single plastic floor tiles that are peeling up at the edges and the seams are not tight. The bedrooms are nice, beds were comfortable, the carpet on the floor is rough, but shades are inadequate to block out any light. This is probably only a problem in the summer if you intend to sleep in.The bathroom is outdated and very basic, functional, but the tub drain was quite slow to drain the water. Also, this property is not for those who have a hard time walking up a long flight of stairs from the road. There is a driveway behind the house that we only used to unload/load, but we were reprimanded by the man next door who told us it's a private drive for his house behind this one.We were there for a large event so had the opportunity to see other properties. When comparing the cost of others, I'd say the owner should either drop the price or update it.
A guest from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 Awesome location. Great deck for reading and watching the ocean. One suggestion: More window coverage on front door and kitchen area.
A guest from Denver, CO does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 The house was not in good condition. The carpets were very dirty - there were huge dirt spots and peanut shells in the living room, dirty spots and stickers in the bedroom. I stopped by the office to let the management company know this. The living room furniture was not comfortable, but we were lucky with the weather and spent most of our time outside. There was no WIFI, and the TV channels were very limited - thankfully it was good weather. The location was great. But it was stuffy and I had to wash all my clothes when I got home, even the clean ones, as they smelled like the house. There was a problem with the locks on the front door. I also voiced this problem to the management company, but they just said they would look at it later, did not write it down. Twice someone got stuck in the bathroom when they had NOT locked the door. There were missing window screens from one of the bedrooms.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We are very sorry you were unsatisfied with your stay at Brynmarie. The home is an older home in a great location and view. We apologize for the unsatisfactory cleaning conditions. We are working with our new summer staff to get them up to our standards of clean. We did offer to send a cleaner back over to touch up clean. Our office has fixed the lock issues you had reported and would have been happy to take care of it during your stay if requested.
Julane P. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 This is a great little house- we loved the natural wood and open layout. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and bake. Every bed was really comfortable, even the fold out in the living room. And having the beach and beautiufl dunes across the street was the best part! The house smelled a bit funky when we first walked in but after all the windows were open it was fine.
Jenni A. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2015 This home is well-situated in Manzanita with a spectacular view and great deck for enjoying the same. The house is comfy and the kitchen is well-stocked.That said, for a standard 43-hour weekend stay *in winter*, the rate was prohibitive: $585, including several questionable non-refundable fees outside of the taxes. Much as I enjoyed it, I'll stay elsewhere (and use a different vacation rental company) next time.
Jack S. from Gladstone, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2014 It's a great place to be, but I would have enjoyed having WI-Fi access. In spite of the fact that the house is not on the beach, the view is great. The kitchen is poorly lighted as are the steps going up to the house.
Nicole P. from Lake Forest Park, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 We truly enjoyed up stay at Brynmarie. The location was perfect- easy beach access and a lovely walk right to town. We especially enjoyed spending time on the deck outside with the beautiful view of the ocean. Our family would highly recommend this home to others!
A guest from Lake Oswego, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2014 This was our annual "cousins" reunion at the beach which previously included children & grandchildren. We've always rented a large home but now that grand kids are working and scattered we needed a smaller home...and, EUREKA - we found it!! The location, the view, the comfort of the living was all perfect - from cocktails on the deck watching the ocean to everyone having a seat while we laughed and watched movies in the living room. The dining table was constantly busy with games of cribbage, kings on the corner or spite & malice. It couldn't have been better...would have loved to know there was NO hair dryer! We're already looking forward to next year! Thank you.
Robert F. from yakima, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 We enjoyed this rental. Nice windows for good views of Ocean. Cabin is on a hill with steps to deck. There is a road and one set of houses to ocean, but very accessible. Beds are comfortable, 2 bedrooms share a wall separating each other (so sound does travel between rooms. The blinds do not cover all the light in master bedroom, so do not expect a dark room in the morning. The kitchen windowb could also use a shade since there is a house directly in back of the cabin. We enjoyed the quiet, watching movies and cooking some our own food.
Amber O. from Vancouver, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 We happened to stop in last minute. The staff was very friendly and helpful! We absolutely loved everything about our stay. I would definitely recommend this to a friend! The house was fabulous! We will be coming back for sure! Thank you!
Gretchen C. from Klamath Falls, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in February, 2014 I stayed in the home for 2 weeks for training at a new job. The house was perfect and made my transition perfect. I am going to recommend your company to everyone, thank you so much
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 We enjoyed this cabin very much. It's homey and the woodstove made it warm and romantic. Its across the street from beach so the view was good.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 Please: advise renter to get kindling, buy firestarters when purchasing wood from you. OR: could an ax be provided to use?We had to wait til next day to go back and get firestarters and kindling at the store. Or advise bring an ax. Great view, comfty bed, great access to beach. Loved our stay.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2013 Overall, this place was great! The location was amazing. Great views of the ocean and quick walk to the downtown section of Manzanita and even quicker walk to beautiful, dog friendly, beaches. We had Thanksgiving here, so we brought much of our own cookware, if you are planning a big meal and need specialty items to cook with, bring your own.The only thing that would have made this perfect was more comfortable living room furniture, I likened it to waiting room furniture at a doctor's office. Also, they have great selection of games, but bring your own movies, we did not find any,?but those were the only negatives, overall, great place!
A guest from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 We had a wonderful time. This is our first and favorite beach house, so it was fun to be back. We left a couple of comments - it would have been nice for the outside light to be on when we arrived, as it was very dark and the house is up a long stairway. Also, the bathroom smelled, perhaps of rat poop - my sons thought there may be a nest above or below. We cleaned up the grill, which perhaps hadn't been used in a while. It took us a bit to figure out the damper on the wood stove.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 the house is on a great location. love the big windows with sea view. we had a very convenient and relaxing stay.
Jennifer L. from Tumwater, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 The. Home was conveniently located to town an beach. The. Railing around the deck uprights were so Far apart to present a safety hazard for dogs and toddlers. The washer was full of wet sheets we discovered when we were stripping the beds as told to do which is strange since we paid a hefty cleaning fee. The screen on the bedroom was missing and had been for a while according to other reviews.
Mary Ann G. from Portland, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 While we appreciate having a few days on the Oregon coast . . . (1) we called agency the first day - 16th - with the issue of not having a screen in the rear bedroom window and no working flashlight. There was no return call. (2) Our garbage can was overfull when we arrived and we could smell the garbage thru the kitchen window. (3) There was a broken piece of glass in the kitchen cupboard. (4) The beds were way mushy - I guess fairly typical, but still?? (5) upon leaving one day as we went to put the key in the key compartment the key slipped out of hand and believe it or not fell through the floor boards - despite the doormat - and we had to crawl for it. Soo - not all of them are your problems but most of them.
A guest from Sammamish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2013 We really enjoyed our stay. The weather was exceptional on two days and acceptable on 3 days. The unit was clean and nicely furnished. The previous renters or the neighbors had not cleaned up well after their pets. We cleaned it up the first night and had no further issues. It was lovely being able to play with our dog on the beach without disturbing others. There were many dogs and all seemed friendly. I highly recommend this unit if you want to take you pet on vacation.
A guest from Claremont, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 Very clean, great deck, terrific location. Second time we have stayed there. Only complaint this time was kitchen not well stocked -- no kitchen knives, mixing spoons, etc. and one reason we rent a house is to cook.
Mark W. from Redmond, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 The location of this rental house is unbeatable for the price! (although I didn't shop around much and our friends stayed in a very nicely updated 2 bdrm house on the beach side for about the same nightly rate) Our favorite part of the whole trip was sitting on the front deck, admiring the ocean while also being able to watch our older kids play in the sand. The rental property could have been 5 stars if only the carpets in the bedrooms (or whatever is causing that old, musty smell) were replaced and the kitchen had more of the necessities such as a sweeper/dust pan, working can opener, non-rusty knives, scissors. Worse than that, I was greeted upon arrival with a wet load of laundry in the washer and a load of washed dishes in the dishwasher. Putting someone else's dishes away and drying a load of bedding is not my way of starting a relaxing week's vacation, but I'm assuming that is the responsibility and short falling of the management company as opposed to the owner. We also had to put duvet covers on the comforters as we found them on the beds, uncovered. A great part of this vacation home is the stockpile of games, puzzles and National Geographic issues. The fact that we didn't have wi-fi access actually turned into a positive as it forced our family to gather around the table and play games or complete puzzles together. Our kids found the National Geographic magazines (some dating back to the 1960's) VERY entertaining and informative. I think next year, we will look around for a similar deal and similar location, but for a more fresh, updated, stocked home. Hopefully, the housekeeping issues will not be experienced again. It really took away from the satisfaction of our stay.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 Great location, short walk to town and just across the street from the beach. Would definitely stay in this home again.
Ray N. from Aloha, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Four lights that we needed wouldn't turn on when we arrived. One of these was the porch light. Three lamps were not plugged in. Some were missing bulbs or had dead bulbs. The porch light wasn't working. I checked it and screwed in one bulb. The other bulb was dead. These are details that just don't seem that hard to conquer, and it was an annoying inconvenience to crawl around to plug in stuff and cannibalize bulbs from less used fixtures/rooms. This isn't professional--it's cheap. Other than this, things were fine.
Carol D. from Bellevue, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2013 This house is ideally located one block off of the beach with a trail access right across the street. The home has a large open gathering area with plenty of seating. The condition of the interior is fair. The stove needs some work but does work. The floor is starting to come up in the dining area. The bedroom sheets had a bit of a cigarette smell in the master bedroom. The deck has a nice view of the ocean and Neah-kanie Mountain. With some upgrades on the interior and exterior this would be a five star property.
A guest from Bend, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 BrynMarie is the perfect distance between downtown Manzanita and the pretty little golf course. The ocean view is great for not being ocean front, and to have that view for that price is really appreciated. The house is older, and will need some updating on the outside stairs and entryway soon, but the home was very clean and had lots of seating. The beds were comfortable (surprising for a popular rental). The headboards and quilts hanging on the walls were a little odd, and the insulation in the home was light; you could hear every word anyone said no matter where they were in the home. This home is best for a family of four or five, takes dogs, and is affordable. A good, modest beach house.
A guest from Bain Island, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 Nice place to stay for two couples. Close to town and the beach all within easy walking distance. The beds were super comfy and there was everything we needed for a wonderful long weekend of sunshine in October.
Robin D. from Spokane, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 everything was except able, we did not think the fold out couch was very comfortable and my son had to sleep on it for five days. Upgrading the couch in the living room for sleeping would be a great improvement. Also walking to the garbage in the back over a burr field, which brought burrs into the house was a problem. Otherwise it was great!
A guest from Burin, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 all in all a very nice visit. it's above busy beach st, but a nice view deck. charming but pretty simple cabinish accommodations and a little wear, so if you are expecting a new fully equipped place it's probably not for you. we liked the easy access to the beach too.
A guest from Nampa, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 Close for walking on the beach, great view from inside when it is stormy. Location is close to town and other sites of the coast.
Mary H. from Conifer, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 My husband and I spent 3 days at the Brynmarie and absolutly loved it. Manzanita is a very special place and I was so glad I did my research. The beach is easy access for long walks along the coast. I cannot think of anything wrong except that we should have brought the dogs :) Next time...and yes there will definitely be a next time.
Kathy W. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2011 We had a very pleasant stay in Manzanita staying in Brynmarie. The house stays warm and cozy, the wood stove is great! We liked the location and the views of the ocean through the many windows. The kitchen stove is not user friendly. Next time we will plan on using the propane grill for cooking. Overall great few days.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals Our maintenance has looked at the stove and everything is working properly.
A guest from Bend, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2011 Good location with good views and terrific beach access. Very efficient layout. Close to everything. A good place to stay for small groups. We had 5 and it worked great, but would not go any more than that. Stove top burners a little unpredictable (read HOT) but otherwise fine. Woodstove worked great. We hope to return.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2011 We had a great time at the Brynmarie. It's in a wonderful location right across the street from beach access, so our lucky dog got numerous beach walks each day. The house itself was clean and comfortable. This was our second time at the Brynmarie because we had such a great experience a couple years ago! Overall, we had a great, relaxing weekend and enjoyed ourselves immensely.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 Lovely location and view, easy to work with rental company. We unfortunately had some problems with the water heater- Sunset was quick to send someone out, but I'm still not sure it is fixed. Furniture & kitchen definitely could use some updating, but are workable. Some small additions like a stereo or ipod dock, wireless, an oyster knife, and kindling or fire starters would be nice.
Lisa D. from Milwaukie, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 I had a great time...the house is beautiful, the view is wonderful. For me, as a single woman, wanting to feel free to stay alone, I wish that there were curtains or blinds on the large sliding glass door, the glass front door and the kitchen window. It was very strange to be on view from the street, and the house to the side and behind me at night if I wanted to have the light on. You could even see straight from the front door into the master bedroom, I had it open and a neighbor waved at me! It is a wonderful house...with an amazing ocean view, just needs a few blinds!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals Thank you for your suggestion. Blinds were purchased for every window.
A guest from Gresham, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2011 The location was great, close to town and across the street from the beach. The wood stove was perfect for Oct. We found the house to be clean and meet the needs of two and a dog. Only issues were not have many baking pans, could not find an outside garbage can, and the hot water heater seemed to run out quickly when showering. However, these were all minor things that were easy to live with. We will definatly stay again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We are glad you had a good stay. We will definitely recommend the owner gets more baking pans.
A guest from Portland, OR does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 This home can only be accessed from the front of the property which means a full flight of stairs. Driveway in the back belongs to some very unfriendly neighbors. Home has a great view but not very clean. Also has very old furniture.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We definitely have a high standard of cleanliness and are very sorry that it was not cleaned up to our normal standards. Please let us know in the future and we will send our cleaning staff over to the house to do a better clean.
A guest from Port Moody, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in August, 2011 We really enjoyed our stay this year. A few improvements (internet, new BBQ)would make us want to book it again next year. Not unreasonable considering the rate to stay here.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals Thank you for the suggestions, the owner replaced the BBQ.
Linda D. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 This prperty is in an ideal location, and it's especially nice to be above street level. We enjoyed the big porch, ocean view, open floorplan, and the ability to bring our dog. Thank you owners! The beds were comfy and the house was spotless - felt like a hotel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because we had to park in the street (down the steps) instead of the driveway, the barbeque grill barely works - and heats only in one small cooking area, and the yard had lots of dog poop that didn't get removed by/after previous guests. Those aren't deal-breakers at all, so we would still want to stay here again. A very nice house!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals Sorry about the BBQ, a new one has been purchased
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 We loved our stay at Brynmarie -- the house was darling and location perfect. We would definitely book there again. Thank you!
A guest from Salt Lake City, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2011 Great views and location. We could see and hear the ocean, also had great view of Neakahne Mt. Path to beach is right across the street; 4 minute walk to Lenada / downtown. We had three adults and two kids; beds were very comfortable.Could not have asked for better weather - large deck w chairs ideal for happy hour and sunsets....and rinsing off wetsuits. We would certainly rent this house again.
Elizabeth W. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2011 Our family has rented many different properties from Sunset and this is one of the best by far. The furniture was decent, the house was decorated nicely, and the place was very clean. The view was fantastic from the deck and master bedroom. We saw 2 really great sunsets. I can't really think of anything that was wrong with the place besides some faulty lounge chairs. We will definately choose this place again.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2011 Great view and location (right across the street from the beach access); a short walk into town. Cozy little cottage with lots of light and charm. The bathroom could use some updating and there wasn't enough hot water for one shower, but otherwise perfectly suited for our small family and priced right.
Lorri E. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2011 This cute beach cabin is ideally situated just across the road with nice ocean views from the deck and from inside through all the picture windows. We loved it!
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 Great view of the ocean and short walk to town and beach. People drive very fast on this road though so really need to keep an eye on your kids when going outside. Would be nice if the bathroom was cleaned better. I had to wipe down the floor and tub when I got there. Otherwise, enjoyed our stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We apologize for the housekeeping issues. We have brought this to the cleaner's attention.
Shawn G. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2011 Having stayed at this rental for the 3rd time now, I know exactly what to expect....I keep coming back for the wonderful view and comfy bed...the sound of rain on the roof is dreamy. The only drawbacks to this rental are a poorly appointed kitchen (good space and appliances are all fine but bring your own cookware....and I mean everything...and any spice you might need because the cupboards are BARE), slightly uncomfortable living room furniture, and the lack of access to load/unload. YOu must haul your stuff up and down the steep stairs in front as there is no driveway access. But really, I keep coming back because it's a lovely place.
We have stayed at Brynmarie on a few other occasions. It is very close to the beach and has a view from the large deck.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 Unfortunately the fireplace was not usable, which was pretty disappointing as it rained quite a bit on our stay. A fire would have been nice.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2010 please change the directions in the email about the parking, they no longer make you fill out that form. We had a wonderful time but the previous renters didn't do a great job cleaning the pots.
A guest from Vancouver, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2010 Location is great. But ants in the kitchen dampened our spirits. A CD player would be great. Plenty of towels. Need to let us know where the garbage can is. Manager did not return phone call. Service person did not arrive as promised for dishwasher problem. Probably not stay there again.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals During the summer, most of our homes here on the coast have ant problems. We are very sorry it dampened your stay. We try to keep on top of them and have ant bait but sometimes we miss them. Being in such a small town on the coast, it is hard to get repairmen out right away. We do the best we can and definitely work as quickly as possible to get maintenance problems fixed but sometimes the time frame is out of our control.
Shawn G. from PORTLAND, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2010 Beds were super comfortable, the deck large, the kitchen adequate (oven burns hot), and the view wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay and would return to this rental. Only tips I would lend are: bring your own cookware as there is not much there, be prepared to haul all of your stuff up some steep stairs as there is no driveway access that puts you close to a door (house sits up on a hill). Also, TV is tricky....some better instructions would be helpful to renters.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2010 A deck with ocean view & windows all across the front of the house made this a great place even when the weather was rainy. The close beach access made it easy to get out to the ocean during the weather breaks. Well lit kitchen with nice layout. The single bathroom was small but adequate. Cozy beds. Downside was that the house is on a main road, but house is up higher and tucked in at the top of a bank of shrubbery which helps.
Diana H. from Tacoma, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2010 The home needs to be cleaned. The rug was full of spots. The bathroom needs a new shower curtain. The property needs to be better maintained. Duck tape is't my idea of fixing a handrail! We have rented the Bryn-marie 4 years in a row, this is the first time I have been very disappointed in it's upkeep!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sunset Vacation Rentals We are sorry your experience wasn't as great as past visits. We have a very high standard of cleanliness and are very sorry to disappoint in this area. The home has been deep cleaned several times since this visit and we are sure it lives up to its full potential now.
Susan R. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2009 The views were gorgeous and the location was fantastic. When we weren't walking on the beach, we were staring at the ocean through the living room & dining room windows. The house was fine. Cozy enough, but not so nice that I had to worry about my two year old son. The only negative is that the house could have been cleaner, especially the bathroom.
A guest from Lake Oswego, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in September, 2009 Overall it was a great house to rent. I felt they should have provided more cleaning supplies like Ajax. Also, the gas grill is very old and doesn't work that great.
Elizabeth H. from Redmond, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2009 Our annual Manzanita family vacation was great again this year. BrynMarie is a GREAT house and we all loved it. Our lab, and boys, are still pouting that we can?t go to the beach everyday. Thanks for sharing this great house.
We had a wonderful time; house is just the right size, cozy. Loved the very very short trek to the beach, nice little walk into
A guest from Lynnwood, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2009 The sliding door was 'sticky' had a hard time opening it. The couches could be a bit more comfortable. But overall, we had a great time. We enjoy Manzanita, not overrun with tourists!
Hilary M. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2009 Like the place and, because we try to stay there every year, it'd be VERY nice to get that sliding glass door to the back porch fixed. It takes two people hauling as hard as they can to open it.
A guest from Milwaukie, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2009 Kitchen was lacking in organization and ability to find cookware easily. I was looking for a few things and never found them back in the corner. The best part of the beach house was the view and the proximety to downtown and park areas. After adding up all the charges, this ended up being a pretty expensive rental at about $240 per night (including a pet charge, $70 cleaning charge and other various charges). For a 2 bd 1 ba place, I probably would explore other less expensive options in the future.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2009 The location is the best of anything, its literally 10 seconds from the beach and a few minutes from the cool little town. Everything is walking distance and you feel good doing it. The bed was pretty comfortable, better than I thought, but the couches need some work all three couches were pretty uncomfortable. Other than that though, all the other amenities were near perfect, great water pressure and shower, and the barbeque is in a really cool place. Kitchen works but if your planning to cook anything beyond scrambled eggs I would bring your own pots and pans because they are very old and very thin.
Richard F. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2009 This home is in a great location--very close to the beach and close to "downtown." Parking was in front of house at the bottom of a long stairway. Two bedrooms, one bath. Great for a small family and the price was right for what we got. The house was well kept and clean, but it is definitely an older beach home and could use some updating. The furniture mix is ok, but two of the couches were not very comfortable and far from nap-worthy. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and linens were clean. Great deck out in front.
Dave U. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2009 Nice place for small family. A bit cold at night - due to little insulation? Heaters work OK, but noisy at night if you want to keep warm. Remotes for TV/Dish hard to figure out, even for our teenager.Overall nice place with good view.
Julie K. from pdx, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2009 We loved this place and the help from Christine. Our only complaint is unloading the dishwasher and really doing so much laundry before we left!
Taag P. from Arlee, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2009 Everything was fine, no problems. This house is in OK condition, but if it were remodeled, it would lose its value as a lower range accomodation. Don't change a excellent beach house with a good location.
Megan P. from Vancouver, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2008 We needed a place to get away. We needed a place that would take our wonderful well-behaved dogs that love the beach as much as we do. Sunset Vacation Rentals recommended BrynMarie and we were more than delighted that it was available on short notice. Beach access is right across the street, 2/10s of a mile from town, a comfortable bed, the sound of the waves, not so fancy that you worry about messing anything up, but perfectly appointed with everything you need. Good linens and a comfy bed, big windows to watch waves and sunsets. And lucky us, warm weather at the end of October with just a little bit of warm wind. The kind of days that make you go back to the Oregon coast. We will definitely be back to BrynMarie.
