Details need attention Ray N. from Aloha, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Four lights that we needed wouldn't turn on when we arrived. One of these was the porch light. Three lamps were not plugged in. Some were missing bulbs or had dead bulbs. The porch light wasn't working. I checked it and screwed in one bulb. The other bulb was dead. These are details that just don't seem that hard to conquer, and it was an annoying inconvenience to crawl around to plug in stuff and cannibalize bulbs from less used fixtures/rooms. This isn't professional--it's cheap. Other than this, things were fine. |

The home has a large open gathering area with plenty of seating. The condition of the interior is fair. The stove needs some work but does work. The floor is starting to come up in the dining area. The bedroom sheets had a bit of a cigarette smell in the master bedroom. The deck has a nice view of the ocean and Neah-kanie Mountain. With some upgrades on the interior and exterior this would be a five star property. |

Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 BrynMarie is the perfect distance between downtown Manzanita and the pretty little golf course. The ocean view is great for not being ocean front, and to have that view for that price is really appreciated. The house is older, and will need some updating on the outside stairs and entryway soon, but the home was very clean and had lots of seating. The beds were comfortable (surprising for a popular rental). The headboards and quilts hanging on the walls were a little odd, and the insulation in the home was light; you could hear every word anyone said no matter where they were in the home. This home is best for a family of four or five, takes dogs, and is affordable. A good, modest beach house. |

The house stays warm and cozy, the wood stove is great! We liked the location and the views of the ocean through the many windows. The kitchen stove is not user friendly. For me, as a single woman, wanting to feel free to stay alone, I wish that there were curtains or blinds on the large sliding glass door, the glass front door and the kitchen window. It was very strange to be on view from the street, and the house to the side and behind me at night if I wanted to have the light on. You could even see straight from the front door into the master bedroom, I had it open and a neighbor waved at me! It is a wonderful house...with an amazing ocean view, just needs a few blinds! The wood stove was perfect for Oct. We found the house to be clean and meet the needs of two and a dog. Only issues were not have many baking pans, could not find an outside garbage can, and the hot water heater seemed to run out quickly when showering. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2011 This home can only be accessed from the front of the property which means a full flight of stairs. Driveway in the back belongs to some very unfriendly neighbors. Home has a great view but not very clean. Also has very old furniture. We enjoyed the big porch, ocean view, open floorplan, and the ability to bring our dog. Thank you owners! The beds were comfy and the house was spotless - felt like a hotel. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 was because we had to park in the street (down the steps) instead of the driveway, the barbeque grill barely works - and heats only in one small cooking area, and the yard had lots of dog poop that didn't get removed by/after previous guests. Those aren't deal-breakers at all, so we would still want to stay here again. A very nice house! The only drawbacks to this rental are a poorly appointed kitchen (good space and appliances are all fine but bring your own cookware....and I mean everything...and any spice you might need because the cupboards are BARE), slightly uncomfortable living room furniture, and the lack of access to load/unload. YOu must haul your stuff up and down the steep stairs in front as there is no driveway access. But really, I keep coming back because it's a lovely place. |

Plenty of towels. Need to let us know where the garbage can is. Manager did not return phone call. Service person did not arrive as promised for dishwasher problem. Probably not stay there again. We try to keep on top of them and have ant bait but sometimes we miss them. Being in such a small town on the coast, it is hard to get repairmen out right away. We do the best we can and definitely work as quickly as possible to get maintenance problems fixed but sometimes the time frame is out of our control. |

Only tips I would lend are: bring your own cookware as there is not much there, be prepared to haul all of your stuff up some steep stairs as there is no driveway access that puts you close to a door (house sits up on a hill). Also, TV is tricky....some better instructions would be helpful to renters. |

The close beach access made it easy to get out to the ocean during the weather breaks. Well lit kitchen with nice layout. The single bathroom was small but adequate. Cozy beds. Downside was that the house is on a main road, but house is up higher and tucked in at the top of a bank of shrubbery which helps. |

I was looking for a few things and never found them back in the corner.The best part of the beach house was the view and the proximety to downtown and park areas.After adding up all the charges, this ended up being a pretty expensive rental at about $240 per night (including a pet charge, $70 cleaning charge and other various charges). Stayed for 2 days in May, 2009 The location is the best of anything, its literally 10 seconds from the beach and a few minutes from the cool little town. Everything is walking distance and you feel good doing it. The bed was pretty comfortable, better than I thought, but the couches need some work all three couches were pretty uncomfortable. Other than that though, all the other amenities were near perfect, great water pressure and shower, and the barbeque is in a really cool place. Kitchen works but if your planning to cook anything beyond scrambled eggs I would bring your own pots and pans because they are very old and very thin. |

Parking was in front of house at the bottom of a long stairway. Two bedrooms, one bath. Great for a small family and the price was right for what we got. The house was well kept and clean, but it is definitely an older beach home and could use some updating. The furniture mix is ok, but two of the couches were not very comfortable and far from nap-worthy. The beds were comfortable and the bedding and linens were clean. Great deck out in front. |

Stayed for 3 days in March, 2009 Nice place for small family. A bit cold at night - due to little insulation? Heaters work OK, but noisy at night if you want to keep warm. Remotes for TV/Dish hard to figure out, even for our teenager.Overall nice place with good view. |

We needed a place that would take our wonderful well-behaved dogs that love the beach as much as we do. Sunset Vacation Rentals recommended BrynMarie and we were more than delighted that it was available on short notice. Beach access is right across the street, 2/10s of a mile from town, a comfortable bed, the sound of the waves, not so fancy that you worry about messing anything up, but perfectly appointed with everything you need. Good linens and a comfy bed, big windows to watch waves and sunsets. And lucky us, warm weather at the end of October with just a little bit of warm wind. The kind of days that make you go back to the Oregon coast. We will definitely be back to BrynMarie. |
