Modern 2-story apartment with elevator, decorated with Turkish art, antiques and textiles. Located in the charming Bohemian neighborhood of Cihangir. Location is overlooking the main tea garden and Firuzaga Mosque. There are dozens of sidewalk cafes all around, as well shops of all varieties from outdoor vegetable markets, to butchers, to clothing boutques. 5 min walk to subway at Taksim Square - which is the beginning of Istanbul's main entertainment and dining area (950 bars and restaurants on Isitklal Avenue and side streets!). Take tram to the Old City in about 10 min from Taksim Square or 10 min taxi ride from taxi stand across the street. Or walk down the hill to the Tophane station and catch the train there...a lovely 10 min walk, and 10 min ride. This location next to Cucurcuma - the antique area of Istanbul...All surrounding neighborhoods have charm, charm charm! Enjoy the "real" Istanbul of Irhan Pamuk, while stepping into the carpet salesman and pushy vendor area of Sultanahmet area only when you want to. You will not be bothered in this neighborhood, but treated as if you live here! The best way to travel. The apart. has 3 bdrms and 2 couches which can be used for additional bedding. 5 people in beds, extra mattresses and couch can be used for extras. Wood floors, windows and wood doors, and lots of tile. Ceiling fans, A.C. in master and guest bedroom and very breezy with lots of windows. Family building in lively central area next to Firuzaga Mosque. You will definitely hear the 5x call to prayer in this flat...delightful. This is my home when I am in Istanbul.

Optional airport pickup for $45 from Ataturk, $70 from Sabiha...our driver will wait for you holding your name and will bring you directly to the flat. Highly recommended as taxi drivers are notorious for getting lost in Istanbul.
