Pyrgos White embodies the perfect symbiosis between husband and wife. He is a Master of Wine, she is a Volcanologist. The property they bought and transformed is an old winery with an incredible view overlooking the Volcano. Wanting to create a summer house far removed from their London lifestyle, they enlisted a well-known local architect to realize their vision. The result is a Zen-like, tasteful retreat that respects the local architecture and fits with the beautiful medieval village of Pyrgos.
A perfect fusion of indoor and outdoor living allows everyone occupying the house the space to enjoy the wonderful Greek sunshine around the water features or to retreat to the cool white interiors.
The home is spread over two levels which creates a naturalness and ease of living. The subtle hue of white throughout is complimented well with woven rugs, hand-painted scatter cushions and locally produced pieces of earthenware.
The lower level offers a great lounging area, with the dining room and kitchen on the upper level. The four double air-conditioned en-suite bedrooms, all with individual elements create a tranquil atmosphere. Two of the double rooms are detached from the main house, with French doors leading directly to the courtyard.
An ideal setting for adult groups, this vast property ticks all the boxes for a relaxed vacation.
Airport transfers are provided for an additional charge of €15 per person. Additional housekeeping is available for €70/day (8 hours) and is subject to availability. Public holidays and weekends will be charged at €105 per day. An in-house Chef is available for €750/week to prepare 2 meals a day or €1250/week to prepare 3 meals per day. Transportation charges, car rental, accommodation, and cost of groceries are extra. Private boat rentals can be arranged for approximately €140/hr.
