Ocean Dream is a charming ocean-view haven that is the perfect space to unwind and reconnect with nature. Newly built in 2007, it features knotty pine tongue in groove interiors, hardwood floors in the living area, and historically accurate architectural details in every aspect of the design. Situated a few hundred feet from the ocean just north of the Yachats bridge, Ocean Dream offers spectacular bay and ocean views from every room, especially the living and dining rooms with their wall of French doors opening to the deck.
Sit outside in the Adirondack deck chairs and listen to the waves break on the shore. Watch for whales, bald eagles, deer, elk, and other wild life. Step outside to the sheltered meditation circle and breathe in the scent of pine trees, from a forest that comes down the mountain and surrounds the house on three sides.
Cross the road and walk to Yachats' best beach for swimming in the river or the sea. Ocean Dream is also an easy five minute walk to the market, restaurants, and shops; tide pooling areas; and the Yachats Commons. On chilly evenings, curl up in the window seat by the fire with a book, or open your laptop and have high-speed internet access. This home also features flat screen TV?s, DVD/CD/MP3 players, and has the DISH Top 100 plus local channels.

Olivia H. from Tigard, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 My Best Friend and I were able to escape for a Girls weekend last minute and stay at this rental. It was just what we needed--very short walk to the beach, ocean views, deck for morning coffee--everything was top quality and cozy atmosphere!
A guest from Nanoose Bay, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 Chairs on the balcony would have been nice. The one thing we found was that it was noisy from the highway traffic at night. It was very warm when we were there and we had to close the window to sleep because of the noise.
Rachelle W. from Sante Fe, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2014 The light is extraordinary. The high ceiling and so many windows bring the outside in. I spent a lot of time on the deck, and in the cozy upstairs room. Kitchen is well equipped and roomy.Easy walk to town, beach,OR Trail- all fun to explore. It was hard to leave.
A guest from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2014 Everything about our stay was perfect. The house is nicely equipped and matches the photos perfectly. The walk to town and the beach is quick and easy. Be sure to grab a breakfast at the Green Salmon one morning. Our favorite part was the window seat which is really the size of a somewhat short bed. We spent a lot of time there. Only quibble would be the mattress toppers were thick foam and not what we prefer as they were too soft. That's a preference more than a fault of the property owners. I'd recommend the house to almost anyone.
A guest from Bend, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 Our stay at The Ocean Dream was a dream! A beautiful place to go for any kind of vacation. Wonderful views from the cabin and cozy on a rainy day with the fireplace roaring. The cabin was beautifuly finished with the woodwork on the ceiling and cabinets. We enjoyed hunkering into the window seat with a book or an unwritten story. Such cozy bedrooms with beds that make you feel as if you are sleeping on a cloud, as well as a beatiful kitchen. This cabin is a hidden treasure. Our stay was incredible and hope to come again to the perfect Occean Dream.
A guest from Bend, Oregon does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2014 While both the location and the house it's self were undeniable lovely, the situation with the water pump was a real disappointment. The weather was quite windy and left us uncomfortable knowing that a power outage would also leave us without water. Knowing too long of a shower could set off an alarm and cause the pump to overflow, as well as not being able to flush toilets while someone is showering for fear of back up in the shower, made having a fully relaxing get away impossible. Though the pluming worked fine while we were there thankfully, the signs in most all rooms of the house reminding us of the dangers associated with using the water in any way kept us uneasy. While the house was nicely clean, the beds are extremely uncomfortable which made a decent nights sleep impossible. We also discovered that the beautiful fireplace sadely did not heat the house at all with the glass doors closed, and with them open the smoke pored into the house, making it an ornamental fireplace only. The house had alternative heating of course, but the anticipation of a raoaing fireplace was a large part of why we chose the house. The management company was very kind to offer us the chance to reschedule our trip when the large storm hit Oregon last month, but sadly we were never really able to relax in this house once we finally arrived. Soft, supportive, new beds would have made a nice difference and I highly recommend that particular upgrade be given considertaion. We would recommend the management company to others, but warn them heavily of the significant draw backs to what would other wise have been a very nice vacation house.
A guest from Milwaukie, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2014 We spend time in Yachats regularly, but had never stayed at the Ocean Dream. The home was really lovely, with a great design and a nice feeling of privacy. The reading nook in the living room and the desk area in the master were extra special. The kitchen was functional, but I wish there'd been a small frying pan and some black pepper on hand. People with small children or mobility issues might want to know that the walk to the beach involves crossing the highway, and then walking north or south a bit. Overall, the home was great!
Loren K. from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2013 We loved our stay at this cabin! It is located in a great place where you can walk to town or walk a short ways to the beach. I found myself staring at the ocean a lot because all the windows on the west side have an oceanview. The cabin has a very warm and cozy feel. Very well built I might add! The cabin was laid out very well for 4 adults. Thank you.
Property Manager Response: Response from Ocean Odyssey Vacation Rentals We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay!
Robert H. from Corvallis, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2013 This is the 3rd time I have stayed at Ocean Dream. The house is in a great location with a nice view of the ocean; always warm and inviting, clean and well appointed. I would definitely recommend Ocean Dream, especially for folks who would like to stay awhile in Yachats and at the coast.
A guest from Corvallis, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 The house is cozy but comfortable for 4 adults and a baby, and convenient to the beach and the town of Yachats. The kitchen is well equipped. There were a couple of small cleanliness issues, and the in-sink disposal seized up on its first use. (Management said they would try to get it fixed, but I guess that was difficult on a weekend -we managed!) But all-in-all, we had a great time, and I would recommend this house to others.
A guest from Madison, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2013 The house is quite lovely, comfortable and a pleasure to visit. Yachats is a small town with more than enough amenities even if you are picky. Hard to beat its location on the coast for hiking, walking or day trips. The rental situation: A few hints. - The description to the house needs to be updated (directions reference a now defunct restaurant as a landmark).- There were some inconsistencies in the description of what is offered vs. what is available, hopefully now remedied. Example. "Basic spices provided." If what you are providing is salt and pepper, say so. TV. Materials referred to availability of local and regional stations. Not so. My friend wasted an evening trying to get the TV to operate as described. (It is a Roku-based system, something I was unfamiliar with.) The rental company was a bit blase when asked about this. No apology, other than saying they would correct the information provided in the future.I assume they have followed through.- Posted signs/notes. They detract from the decor and the stay. I understand pride of ownership and the desire to keep the house lovely for future tenants, but this tendency could be reined in just a bit.Yes, as I said, just small nits. All in all, a lovely, well-furnished place that I hope to return to in the future.
Michael T. from Grand Island, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2013 My husband and i absolutley loved this rental home! It was spotless and very roomy with an excellent floorplan. We especially loved sitting on the back porch in the midst of all the evergreens with a view of the ocean in the distance.
Phillip O. from Laguna Niguel, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2013 Nice house with a good view of the ocean and bay. A little noisy during the week from traffic on highway below.
A guest from Camas, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 15 days in July, 2013 Excellent sunsets, cozy comfort,well-stocked kitchen. Location ideal - protected from wind; walk everywhere. Quick access to (almost) private beach.
WE loved this nice compact place for the young family that stayed
mary e s. from nine mile falls, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in June, 2013 Wonderful, we did both Florence and Newport activities from Yahats. We had sun, storms and perfect weather for the gathering.
