Not where we started. Bonnie P. from Whippany, NJ does not recommend this property. Stayed for 26 days in February, 2013 In February 2012 we stayed in unit 754 at Cinnamon Beach for 4 weeks. The vacation was way beyond our expectations and we knew we wanted to come back so we reserved a unit for 2013 on the 6th floor for the beautiful ocean views before we left. In January 2013, we were advised that unit was no longer available and much to our displeasure, were moved to a unit on the 3rd floor. Not the same view but ok. Then 1 1/2 weeks before our scheduled departure the same thing happened and we were bumped to unit 822 because the 3rd floor unit because the unit was sold. At this time so close to our departure (since we needed a pet friendly unit) there were no other units to choose from. We were totally disappointed and frustrated but we love Ocean Hammock at Cinnamon Beach.The unit was a disappointment. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was a very musty smell. The carpet is covered with visible pet stains, and the living area furniture smells. The unit is also in need of a thorough detailing. I personally got down on my hands and knees and scrubbed all the tile floors because I couldn't stand the gunk buildup in the grout lines ( and found out the tiles came out 2 shades lighter in the process). Just for the record, I'm not a neat freak.Would I rent unit 822 again - No. Will we be back to Cinnamon Beach again? Yes! We love it there and we've already rented a unit on the 6th floor for next year! Arrived late and couldn't see all the addresses and the guard was no help had no clue, they should have a little more training on the layout of the building. Bldg 900 address is hidden by palm trees. Only suggestion is to have decorative address signs in front of the buildings in the garden areas. Condo was super clean and had a beautiful ocean view, I would recommend building 9 for the view. Beach was very clean but not the best to walk on in bare feet lots of shells. When advertising units people should also be made aware of the toll bridge that you need to cross to get to the condo's everytime you leave, we found out after booking. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2011 The facility was well maintained and decorated. We enjoyed out time there; however, we were a displeased with two issues. One involved a very rude gate keeper. The next issue involved a snake next door to the clubhouse that no one seemed very concerned about. That was pretty frightening. Finally, the clubhouse manager called some maintenance people to check it out. I can't think of anything more a vacation site could have been. Great location, activities, price, everything. It's just close enough to Daytona and Jacksonville to get there within an hour but far enough away to not have to deal with the crowds. I will go back. a good but noisy time sometimes with tilers upstairs A guest from Gainesville, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2010 Who wants to move after 2 days of settling in, housekeeping, sprucing up all unpacked etc. We travel heavy but just the 2 of us and our cairn. I must have a nap on vacation...was hard napping Monday, Thurs., Friday. The fire dept. and sherrif came one day because the tilers van was leaking gasoline right in the parking lot. I saw the tile job and the tilers do good work. Overall a fun vacation. Downside, any construction noise even if it's on the 6th floor and you're on the second floor sounds like it's in your condo. I got to get a house next time. Great view and we enjoyed the beach. I got to see my son catch his first fish (blue runner). The community of cinnamon. Beach was quaint and a hidden gem. Loved the homes around the condos; reminded me of Seaside, Florida. Would gladly stay there again!!! After much searching I found Vacation Rental Pros & conviently booked our vacation in Palm Coast at Cinnimon Beach Resort. Both our families were so impressed with the accommodations, the beach, and the easy walk to the pools as well as the gym. We felt so at home in our condo with plenty of room for our two families to share. The only thing that could have made this a more enjoyable trip would have been if we all could have spent longer than a week together. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2008 Dear Vacation Rental Pros, Please check the directions you emailed ahead of time. There were two frustrating errors. One says that the gate is the third right on the property (it is the second) and the other says that the Super Walmart is a little more than 2 MILES from the highway (it is a little more than two BLOCKS). You may also want to indicate the name of that intersection since the Steak and Shake is visible from the road but not the Super Wal-Mart. As for the property, we LOVED this unit and would like to return! We do recommend a new dishwasher (the one there has a faulty soap dispenser and the dishes in the cupboards were dirty when we arrived). There are also significant stains on the carpet in the dining room area that appear to be from guests who came in with wet sandy feet. This place is definitely on our radar for next spring break and we would love to know that these maintenance issues (at least the dishwasher) were resolved. Gorgeous unit! |

And it was perfect...the condo was very nice and comfortable, the pool area was so peaceful, and we had a great time. The only thing that we would have changed was that the beach was dirty, there was debris and trash littering the beach and made it not exactly somewhere that you wanted to spend much time. However, still it was a great time and we hope to return soon with different beach conditions. |
