This was a great house. There was plenty of rooms. The kitchen was very nice. The bathrooms, and whole house were very clean. Although we did find someone's markers under the couch. The bed on the lower floor, where us parents slept, could have been better, would have been nice to have a king sized bed. The deck furniture was not in the best shape (dirty looking from rain). I thought the hot tub was on the deck, but it was actually out the basement door, not a big deal, but not much of a view from down there. The noise at night was not mentioned on the website. The frogs, crickets and the geckos are very noisy. Since there is no air conditioning, it would have been nice to leave a window open (don't get me wrong, the ceiling fans were absoulutely great, very quiet), but we couldn't stand the noise. The frogs etc, would just quit and then the wonderful birds would start. It is a very dark place at night, not too many strolls taken after dark, especially without a flashlight. We did enjoy our stay. It does rain a lot. We are from Prince Rupert BC Canada, and we thougt it rained alot at home (rain capital of Canada), Hilo puts us to shame. Thank you for your wonderful accomodation.
