Vacation Home Rental Description:
This home is located in town and about a five minute drive to the beach. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with a bathroom connected. The 2nd bedroom has a set of bunkbeds with a full on the bottem and a twin on the top. The sofa in the livingroom makes into a queen size bed. There is also a full bath connected to this bedroom. There is seating in the dining area for six and a picnic table downstairs. The house has a BBQ grill so you can grill outside and enjoy the gulf breezes. This house is affordable and super cute. This is a pet friendly unit.

Nice place to stay for 2 adults w/kids & pets. If you plan on inviting other adults,the second bedroom has a bunk bed. The master bedroom was nice (closet space/drawers), but the bed was hard & the pillows too firm. The second night my husband & I slept in the bunk bed which was very comfortable;Not romantic for our 5th wedding Anniversary, but at least we slept. The ice maker in the freezer did not work.I would suggest an ice machine as an amenity, also a dishwasher. I know other properties offer that. We loved the house, it was clean & convenient. Like the covered patio w/BBQ pit (great in case of was nice to have a washer & dryer,an IRON,plenty bath/kitchen towels,trash bags, kitchen utensils,coffee maker & toaster. The rental staff were great & very helpful.We liked this property, just had a problem with the beds. |

The outside of the property was clean and maintained. However, the inside was dIsgusting. The floor was dirty, has no grout on the tile except dirt and sand. There were a large amount of cockroaches that came out at night. The bed covers and sheets were stained, worn, and soiled. The only real positive experience to this house was the staff. |

The layout is nice but bring all food products you require since the kitchen is missing some essentials (salt, pepper, etc). Also, there is a minor roach infestation if that is something that concerns you. The house provides shade underneath for your cars and has a picnic table to eat on right next to the grill. |

The listing says the house can have up to seven guests, but there is only enough bed space for six. I slept on the floor on top of the coach cushions which was actually quite comfortable. The house is conveniently located near the beach and the city center. In truth, Port A is a very small place and you would be hard pressed to find a place to say that is out of the way. The house has plenty of area to lounge around and a kitchen large enough to cook or prepare food for the two grills outside. A dishwasher would have been nice. I feel obligated to mention this as it may really bother some people. We did see a couple cockroaches during our say to spite the clean appearance of the house. |

I liked it because we could bring our small dog. This property could be a really great property if the owners just updated it. Put some nice pictures on the wall, replace the couch, get a dishwasher, finish tiling the master bath, and paint the rust on the refrigerator. I know these are picky things but this really could be a super rental. This was a spacious rental for our family of 5. Real close to town and the beach. Nice laundry room. Two adequate bedrooms. The kids liked the bunk beds. The pull out couch bed is very uncomfortable. The kids whined on who would have to sleep on it. The area underneath the house where you can grill out is decent. The grill is small so if you are cooking a lot of food bring your own. For the price this is decent but don't expect designer decorating. Oh...the big thing about this property is there is NO dishwasher. You must hand wash everything and we ate in a lot to save money. Kind of a drag. Port Aransas Escapes property management were really nice. |

One of the features we particulary liked was that there were both front and back gated porches on this house. However, we were pretty unhappy about the available seating in the house. There are two really comfortable chairs in the living area, but the couch is really not usable. This was pretty inconvenient since there were four of us. I did discuss this with the office before I left, so hopefully the owner will remedy this problem. We would consider renting this house again only if the seating situation is resolved. |
