Vacation Cottage Rental Description:

Nestled among the trees on a spacious level lot, this charming, well maintained vacation home is situated on pristine Bass Lake in the historic Rideau Lakes region. With easy year round access, this clean, spring-fed lake provides excellent swimming and some of the finest fishing in Eastern Ontario - including large & small mouth bass, pike, perch and a variety of pan fish.
Bass Lake is located halfway between Perth & Smiths Falls, and just minutes from Rideau Ferry – a quaint lakeside village that offers the conveniences of a liquor store, a gas station, a bait shop, a great little grocery and a fine dining establishment!
And if you happen to tire of all the rest and relaxation (and the kayaking, and the badminton, and the campfires!)... there are many activities and events to enjoy in the neighboring small town communities (including several golf courses!).
Or - if you're feeling really adventurous you can always explore nearby Ottawa (our nation's capital!), or the historic port city of Kingston- just an easy hour's drive away!

This cottage is conveniently located not far off of highway #15 at the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 40 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 10 minutes from Ottawa. A great place for extended Families to congregate.

BEDS: - three bedrooms have queen beds and the fourth one has a double bed. Linen service is included for bedding. Renters must bring their own towels, or they can be rented for $15/person (this includes three face-cloths, three hand towels, three bath towels, and one bath mat).

A cancellation made by the Renter shall be in writing and addressed to Rideau Lakes Property Management at the address stated at the top of the booking application form. Cancellation can also be emailed and will be considered accepted once a confirmation reply is received. On receipt of such notice of cancellation, we shall endeavour to re-book the holiday accommodation for the period of the original booking.
If we are successful in rebooking the holiday accommodation for the entire period originally booked, we will refund to the Renter all monies paid (whether deposit or full payment has been made) less an administration fee of $100.00 per period booked.
If we are unable to re-book your holiday accommodation, then all monies paid by the Renter (whether deposit or full payment has been made) shall be forfeited.
If we are unable to arrange the rental of the Property, due to unforeseen circumstances such as natural disaster, we will attempt to arrange alternative holiday accommodation of a similar type and cost and standard and in a similar location as that originally requested by the Renter. If the alternative holiday accommodation and/or rate is not acceptable to the Renter, we shall refund in full to the Renter all monies paid by him/her to Rideau Lakes Property Management. Requests by the Renter to switch to different cottages other than the ones that have already been booked by renter, will be provided only if the original booking property/time can be re-booked, and it will result in an additional administrative charge of $50.00.
Reservation is secured with a 30% deposit paid via personal cheque (if time permits) direct deposit, or email money transfer, completed renter's contract (forwarded with booking information), and post-dated cheques for the balance of rent and security deposit.
Security deposit cheque will be held in trust and not cashed unless needed to due to damages or cleaning expenses incurred.
If no damages or cleaning fees are to be with-held, the Security Deposit cheque will be mailed back, marked void within one month of check-out.
Rent consists of the rent amount with taxes included, plus a cleaning fee of $88.50+HST.
