This was our second vacation at 86 Jackstay Court - and probably will become a tradition. We highly recommend to small families or groups.

This is a great house with good proximity to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped and living room has good seating and lighting. However, some work really needs to be done. For the second year in a row, the toilet in the front bedroom to the right didn't work. (we didn't bother to complain, as we had done that last year with, obviously, no result). The miicrowave is old and not very effective as is the Mr. Coffee-it doesn't make hot enough coffee. The tv's all need to be updated, particularly in the living room-diisappointed that we couldn't hook up our Nintendo Wii, a favorite vacation past-time. Most of all, no wireless internet!!! In this day and age you expect any place you rent at the exorbitant price we pay to have wireless internet.

i don't think you will like this review. the first night we arrived as we were about to go to sleep arcoss our blanket was a 4 in palmetto was an awful creepy night. every morning thereafter we had cockroaches in the kitchen on the stove and walls but none in the bedroom after the exterminator came. also they put up these ugly black cloths for the hurricane that never came only they never came to take them off.thus 5 out of 8 days and nights we could not go out on decks nor get sunlight. the house is perfect location for the beach. and they have it serviceable but in bad need of updating the kitchen and refreshing the living room and definitely a new tv in living room. the cockroaches skeeved us and set the tone sorry to say

86 Jackstay is a great place to stay. It is conveniently located to the beach and great area of Kiawah to bike ride. The kitchen is well appointed with many different sized pots. A new microwave would be a welcome addition. Also, probably asking a lot, but wireless internet would be a huge improvement. A very nice home to rent. We have already put a hold on it for a week next August.

Kiawah Island: You either love it or "kind of" love it! It's beautifully quiet or a little too quiet.

Kiawah is a very beautiful, quiet island and you get a lot of rental property for your money compared to the northeast. The tennis pro's, i understand, are ranked #2 in the country, so the daily drills are wonderfully fast and furious. The beaches are pretty and there are no crowds. There are long, mostly shaded trails for bicycling. For me, a city person, it was a little too quiet after 5:00, but that works for some. I would go back with 20 or 30 friends and family!
