Great cabin for group or family
Jeanie H. from Hendersonville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2016 This was the first time we have had a family get together out of town since both my children have married and had children of their own. I also haven't been to Gatlinburg in about 25 years, so I was a little apprehensive about renting a cabin knowing nothing about any of the rental companies. I first picked a cabin with another company, but was notified about 2 weeks after renting it that there was a 3 night minimum, so I cancelled that reservation. I was offered the 3rd night for half price, but that wouldn't help, since we could only stay for 2 nights. There were several cabins with Elk Springs that were inviting, and with the assistance of my children, we chose Mountain Magic, and it was perfect for our needs. It gave each family a floor of their own for privacy, but areas for family time. Everyone was pleased with the cabin. The only issues we had was a light out in the top floor bathroom, and had problems getting the dishwasher to start. Also, we assumed coffee filters for the coffee pot would be furnished. A grocery run had to be made before we could get our morning coffee, and for us coffee drinkers, waiting sometimes is not pleasant. Next time, however, we'll know.
A guest from Waxhaw, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 The vacation house is beautiful. It had plenty of space for our group to sleep, play and hangout. The rooms are spacious with plenty space to walk around the beds, lay you luggage while unpacking etc. Bathrooms are clean, and just the right size. Towels provided are just okay, if you want fluffy bring your own. Furniture and beds are comfortable. Kitchen is well appointed, some items are flimsy if you are prepping/cooking but for takeout food they will do. Overall, we love the location, the house is just as pictured, plenty of space for our group, 3 families with pre-teen kids, party of 9. Have already recommended to my friends, we had a great time!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for allowing us to be a part of such a wonderful celebration, Maria! We are delighted to hear your stay was exceptional. It sounds like many wonderful memories were made during your visit. We hope you will consider making Elk Springs Resort part of a new tradition when visiting our beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. Hurry back, your next adventure awaits!
Dennis G. from West Palm Beach, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2016 We booked our cabin early 2016. While driving to our vacation we received a phone call telling us our cabin would not be available, because it was discovered the unit had bats in it. We were upgraded to a unit for 3 nights then required to move out and into our original unit. The morning after our first night at the second unit our two grandchildren found a dead bat their bathtub.
Jerri F. from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 The photos were great, but i was more than pleased when we walked into the cabin. The space was incredible and plentiful, the location was amazing. I have no complaints!
April H. from Cincinnati, OH does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2016 Wanted to make sure someone knew - 2 people in our cabin had numerous bed bug bites all over their face, arms and back. Both of these women stayed in the master jacuzzi suite on the main floor & slept in that bed. You may want to take precautions for bed bugs!! Other than that everything was great. There wasn't enough toilet paper for 10 people & think there should have been atleast enough for the # of people staying in the cabin without having to bring our own- but that is very minor. The response to a few of our needs by maintenance was very quick and we appreciated that. We would not recommend to someone only based on the bed bug bites.
A guest from NEW ALBANY, INDIANA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2016 The cabin was awesome both the stay and location. By far this is the cleanest cabin I ever stay and well maintain. The only concern I have they do not have HDMI port on their TV. VGA cable is way too old school. For the location, it located just 10-15 minutes drive from downtown. The best part of the location is that it is located on the opposite side of the heavy traffic. While everyone trying to get out of town after dinner, we do not have any traffic problem!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your wonderful review! We love to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We agree, the location is perfect, an easy 10 minute drive from downtown Gatlinburg. We apologize for the inconvenience of not having HDMI ports on the televisions. We don't allow anything to be hooked up to our electronic equipment. This can potentially damage our equipment. There also is a fee we charge at check out to reconnect the equipment if it's not hooked up properly. We value you as our guest. We hope that you will consider staying with us during your next visit to our Great Smoky Mountains. Please keep in mind, as a returning guest you will enjoy 10% off all future stays. We hope to see you soon!
Shelley G. from Bocaraton, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2016 My family had a fabulous time, we even got an early check in and after driving 12hes was really a n added bonus that we didn't have to wait until 3pm.Only 2 draw backs the basement needs proper heating and the TV in the bedrooms are outdated remotes didn't always works .But overall it was a 5 star stay.I will definately be back.
A guest from Elizabethtown, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 Overall good. Loved the fireplace and the coziness of the first floor. Bed comforters need to be cleaned in all three bedrooms. The master suite on the first floor bed covers had an odor to them. Bathroom floors need to be cleaner. Carpet in basement area not clean. Very worn in appearance. Close to downtown Gatlinburg which was nice.
Kizzy S. from Petal, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2015 The cabin was wonderful and very clean. I have no problems with the stay. I would just recommend getting some better towels and fixing the wifi. Wifi worked off and on our entire stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your kind review Kizzy. We apologize for the wifi, sometimes signals can be lost here in the Smoky Mountains resulting in sporadic coverage. We have recently replaced our entire supply of towels and we do this on a regular basis. As you can imagine, they wear out quickly. We appreciate your business and hope you will return again in the future!
A guest from Arlington, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2015 It was amazing. Very clean and cozy, everything was working just right and didnt have any problems or complaints at all
A guest from Bluffton, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2015 We enjoyed a wonderful week staying in our cabin. It was spacious enough for our whole family. The outdoor hot tub was a favorite but had a hard time maintaining heat. The kitchen was well supplied but didn't have hot pads, dish scraper or a crock pot. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable but an area rug on the wood floors would have been nice to buffer noise between bedrooms. It was smart to have a keyless entry system and eliminate keys. There is a theater room in the basement but is not connected to the satellite system...DVD viewing only.
Shri Nath G. from FRANKFORT, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 good
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for the review Shri. We are pleased that you enjoyed your trip to the Smoky Mountains and hope you will come back again soon.
Noricela T. from Miami, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 My team and I visited Tennessee to participate in the Great Smoky mountains half marathon and had the opportunity to stay at a Elk Springs Resort cabin. It's been the best experience we have had so far as a while. The cabin, the town, the race, the views. Everything couldn't have been better. It was just awesome to come back to Mountain Magic after a 13 miles run. We enjoyed the classic car show, a delicious dinner at Bullfish and a lovely walk thru Gatlinburg's old world village. We are already planning our next year trip. ??
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you very much for the 5-star review and congratulations on completing the half marathon! It is our pleasure to provide you and your friends with a luxury cabin rental to enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. There are many things to see and do in Gatlinburg and surrounding areas. We would love to have you back as a repeat guest. Just mention that you have stayed with us before and we give you a 10% discount on your next booking. We look forward to your visit next year!
Bobby Y. from Neenah, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2015 Plenty of room for 4 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed spaces and comfortable setting inside the wooded area. Other than too many ants crawling around kitchen area, everything was great!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for your review Bobby. As you know, being surrounded by woods, there are some pesky bugs that can easily find their way inside. We would have quickly dispatched maintenance to come and spray the ants for you if they were such a nuisance. We do have a monthly pest control treatment done on each cabin as well. Sometimes, it takes a few days to totally eradicate them. We are glad that you were able to enjoy your vacation despite the ants invading your space!
Fasadiq S. from Cananugua, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2015 We had 2 main issues , which spoiled our july 4 th weekend family gathering1. Checkin Experience : The checkin time was mandated at 3 PM , No one called us until 2 PM to give us our checkin code. We were on the road with my 2 elderly parents so I was I was trying to make sure that we can get in atleast at the checkin time if not early , so that they can use the rest room and rest before our evening outing. No one bothered to call me to give me heads up about delay in receiving the code. We kept leaving messages and they called us back that it will be few minutes , sounded like delaying tactics. We reached the cabin at 3 PM sharp and still no code. We waited outside the cabin for about 45 minutes before they gave us a entry code. Once we entered the cabin we found that the house keeping still working to make the bed rooms and restock towels . So we sat in the living room for another 30 minutes while they were restocking and making beds. 2. We planned Bar BQ on July 4 th and brought marinated meat with us , however when we attempted to start the grill it barely gave any flame, so we called the company and they told us that it will be 1 hour before any one can come, we waited for 1 hr and then called back and were told that someone on its way , finally a guy showed up after 2 hours and tried to fix the grill but could not , so our July 4 th Bar B Q plan went down the drain.Despited 2 major issues , no one really bothered to call . I requested the company that I want to talk to the manager to express my concerns , they said someone will call , but no one did till today.I would have been better off staying in a hotel for half of what I paid and with better serviceThe stay was not the amount of money they charged and I deserve a refund
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We are very sorry to hear of your disappointment with your stay. In all fairness, we do send several emails prior to your arrival advising you that 3 p.m. is our "target" check in time and that during our busy season, it may be a little later. We allow our guests the use of remote access to the cabins and you unlocked your door at 3:25. I do apologize that housekeeping had to still put linens in the cabin after your arrival, but this is why there was a delay in us issuing you the door code. We allowed you in because you told us you were waiting at the cabin and we wanted to ensure you were as comfortable as possible. Also, we call every one of our guests after their first night with us and you reported to us on the morning of July 4 that you were all doing great! Our normal response time to maintenance issues is less than 1 hour, but since you experienced a problem with your grill on a busy Holiday weekend, our response time was delayed bit. Maintenance had to clean the gas line on your grill and had it repaired in under 2 hours. We appreciate your feedback and hope your next experience is much better.
Jerome T. from Indianapolis, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 Mountain Magic was just that...magical! My husband celebrated his 40th birthday in this amazing cabin. The wrap around porch, the basement entertainment and the openness of the cabin in general was cozy enough for family time and still private enough to separate yourself from the kids. The kitchen had everything your needed! And though we did not see a bear...the leaning grass and disturbed wooded area beneath the porch sure gave us something to talk about. We will definitely be back!!
A guest from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 The cabin was beautiful. I liked the amenities. It was spacious and clean. For some reason our code didn't work but we finally got in touch with someone who was able to help us get in. I liked the fact that it had two separate thermostats. The appliances were up to date and everything worked just fine. It was a wonderful experience. The only thing i didnt get to do was take a bath in the big tub because there were ants around it. I wasn't that upset because I know we're in the woods so some insects should be expected. When I posted pictures on Facebook people were asking where it was and I told them. I know you will receive more business and I know they will enjoy it as much as I did.
Deron C. from Hammond, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2015 We absolutely loved the cabin. It was clean and spacious. Everything about the cabin screamed relax and enjoy. We will be back for a longer stay next year!!! Thank you!!
Troy M. from Knoxville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2015 My family had a wonderful time. The cabin was beautiful, we loved our stay. We definitely be back soon.. Thanks!!!!
Falanda C. from Jonesboro, Georgia recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2015 The property was very spacious and met all of our expectations. Besides a few minor housekeeping issues, our family loved it and will definitely be visiting again!
A guest from Pinecrest, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2014 We had a wonderful time in Tenneessee. We went zip lining, cave exploring, hiking and enjoyed our nights in the town. Our kids loved it.
A guest from Williamson, WV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 Good location, layout of cabin and amenities great. One bed on top floor needs to replaced, very uncomfortable, as well as the futon on that floor. Difficult to adequately regulate heat on all 3 floors. Floor boards squeaked. Suggestion to stay on interstate past Pigeon Forge exit proved to be a challenge on a winding two lane road. Immediate customer service response to our request.
A guest from Tarboro, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2014 We were three "mature" couples who just wanted to visit this area for a few days, and enjoy the beautiful colors. The Elk Springs staff was very helpful and attentive, checking on us a couple of times during our stay. Everything was perfect; the guys enjoyed the pool table, and the girls enjoyed the hot tub. The only two suggestions we have were: get some chalk for the pool table area, and the sofa in the main floor living area DESPARATELY needs to be replaced. It is trash. Everything else was great!
A guest from Hinsdale, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2014 If we came back to visit Gatlinburg, we would rent Mountain Magic again. It was everything we hoped for in a Smoky Mountain cabin experience. Everything was so simple from making the reservation, to small requests while we were there, and checking out. No stress! Beautiful, clean, and comfortable!
A guest from Brentwood, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2014 Cabin was perfect!! Clean! We zipped one way out to dollywood and another drops you in gatlinburg. Great service and cabin was ready 2 hours early and they texted me to make us aware .
Kevin W. from Ripley, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2014 We had a very nice stay. 9 family members total. PLENTY of room - which was great. I have no complaints about this property.
A guest from Rex, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2014 Overall, my friends and I (3 couples) had a wonderful vacation getaway!! As for the was nice, convenient to town, and the bedroom accommodations were perfect. There were some issues: 1)When we arrived the beds were not made and the cabin was not stocked with towels and toiletries. Property management sent someone to clean it within 15-20 minutes. 2)The sound would not work on the tv in the theater room. Maintenance arrived in approx. 30 minutes to repair. (the receiver was missing) 3) Hot tub would not get hot. Tried to troubleshoot based on maintenance recommendations, but could not get it to work. The following day maintenance arrived, could not fix, had to have a specialist to repair circuit. After a day of shopping and siteseeing the hot tub had been repaired and the rest of our vacation was awesome!! Minor things could be looked into...the bar stool seats need to be replaced (felt like you would fall through one of them). Noticed some wear and tear on the sofa in the main living room. Finally, we noticed some ants around the patio door area and some in the downstairs bathroom...may be time for pest control treatment. Most important to me was the experience....the minor issues were repaired/fixed in a relatively short amount of time and we enjoyed our stay!!
Alex B. from Memphis, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 This is the second year we have come to Gatlinburg and stayed at Elk Springs, but the first time in Mountain Magic. I love the location, the layout, and relaxation. The one thing that bothered me about the cabin was that you could hear every single move that the people above you made. The rooms in the cabin are stacked on top of each other and if anyone is walking or moving, it echoes into your room. Other than that, I loved everything about our stay.
Cindy B. from Jackson, WY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2014 We really enjoyed the house but the cleanliness needs to be addressed. The stairs are dirty. There was a mop and dustpan in the kitchen but no broom. The rug in the living room mid level needs to be vacuumed. The first night there my niece, 140 pounds, sat on the swing and it broke. She wasn't hurt but has a nasty bruise on her hip. We were unable to enjoy it for the rest of the weekend.
Joseph S. from Marlton, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2014 This is my second visit to your resort. The first was 2 years ago to Mountain Laurel and this time to Mountain Magic. Both times were perfection.Question,,, during our last stay we watched several renters at other cabins leave and shortly after we would see the cleaning crew. However we never saw the hot tub service people come and empty and refill the tubs. Are the tubs emptied after each tenant has left or do you sometimes just check the chemicals and balance them if necessary?.Thank you,Joe Shaffer
Andrew J D. from LaPlace, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 From check in to check out, I could not have asked for anything more. Mountain Magic is a great cabin that is just minutes away from Gatlinburg and Smoky Mountain National Park. Our family had a great time and will be renting from Elk Springs Resort the next time we visit.
Melanie G. from Central, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 We took two families on this trip. It has a wonderful layout for families with teenagers. We couldn't have been more pleased!
Mark H. from Grand Rapids, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2014 Words cannot express how much fun we had on our vacation!! The facilities were beautiful and perfectly located!!!
Nancy A. from Shreveport, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2014 We had a great time, and the cabin was amazing! The customer service was the best ever! We had an issue locking our door the first night, and someone responded immediately in person. Turned out that it was user error! We had a couple of other issues, one with the big screen cable box and another with a leaking toilet. Both were corrected immediately. It didn't matter what time we called, we got results! The cabin was super clean, and even better than we expected! We will definitely use again and highly recommend!
Gary F. from Gastonia, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 This cabin was great. I never knew that there was a little "town" back in that area. It was kind of out of the way but convenient at the same time. Cabin was in great shape and met all our needs. Only thing would be to get the projector hooked up to cable so you can utilize the area for more than just movies. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.
Katie S. from Prairieville, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 Let me start by saying, we are not vacation complainers. This was our second trip to Elk Springs Resort because the first trip was so great. This trip ;however, was not as great. We stayed in Mountain Magic & this was the wrong cabin for us. The acoustics in this cabin are terrible. We stayed on the mid level & could hear absolutely everything that happened in the bedroom above us, only magnified. There is no insulation between floors, so every single move was heard. The beds on the top floor have wheels & the mattresses are VERY squeaky so we could hear every single time someone walked, sneezed, talked, rolled over, etc. Very little sleep to be had on this trip. Also, the mid level bedroom had no door to the toilet, so no bathroom privacy. I would definitely not recommend this cabin to anyone. The resort is nice & like I said before, other cabins are enjoyable. This is just recommended to anyone who would like a good night's rest on their vacation.
A guest from hialeah, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2014 The stay at the cabin went well. The location is very convenient because it is close to the market and many other locations.
Lisa C. from McDonough, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2013 We recently stayed at Mountain Magic. It was a last minuuute booking and the rental company was very easy to deal with and the rate was good for the 4 nights we were there. There was plenty of room for the 5 adults that stayed in the cabin. We rented movies from the Red Box that was in front of the grorcery store and enjoyed the home theater in the cabin. Like other people that have left reviews, the furniture needs to be updated. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. We went to Walmart and purchased foam mattress toppers and put on the beds that helped some. The sofa in the main living room was "broken", for lack of a better word. It felt like sitting on the floor and had no support in the seats. Also, you could hear every movement of the people on the floor above you. At night it was difficult to sleep, between the hardness of the mattress and the squecking of the floor above. But, over all it was very clean and a nice cabin for a last minute stay.
Shereese B. from Cincinnati, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 When we arrived to the cabin we were in awe of how much better the cabin looked in person! There were six people in our group (all couples), so each pair were in a bedroom on the three levels within the cabin. I'm very particular when it comes to the cleanliness of bathrooms and I was very impressed with how put together they were. The kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary pots, pans and other cooking ware that would be needed during out stay. The downstairs area provided great entertainment for everyone in the evening with the pool table, hot tub and movie theater area. In the event that you plan to utilize the movie projector, make sure to bring DVD movie formats (no cable/tv is connected to the projector). In the daytime, we traveled to Gatlinburg, which was about a 10 minute car ride to the Parkway strip and to restaurants, so the cabin is close enough but not in the hustle and bustle of downtown. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend the Elk Springs Resort and we will definitely consider this resort for our future stays in Gatlinburg.
A guest from Rainbow City, Alabama recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 Easy to find; convenient to downtown Gatlinburg; enjoyed the large dvd movie screen every night. I would recommend this cabin to friends and family.
David A. from Broadview Hts, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in July, 2013 We stayed in two Elk Springs Resort properties, and both were outstanding. Great location, well maintained, great staff and consistent quality. I highly recommend any facility they manage.
Kenneth L. from Cary, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2013 Had a very comfortable experience at the Mountain Magic cabin with our family of six adults, teens and tweens!Clean, organized and fully stocked with necessary supplies, and convenient to Gatlinburg and surrounding activities...we will come again and use Elk Springs Resort.
Alice T. from Jackson, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2013 It was very easy to book this cabin. I was sent numerous emails concerning check-in and accommodations . The cabin was ready before the check-in time. We had a great time here!
Valerie L. from Valparaiso, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 Our stay was good except for the bathroom in the bottom bedroom was infested with little ants. I didn't use the shower cause they were all on the shower curtain and bath tub walls, and I wasn't going to try to kill them all and then feel comfortable that one wouldn't fall on me while I was using the facility.
A guest from Plymouth, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2013 Cabin was ok except for The upstairs beds were not tightened together (ie. headboard, bed frame, etc.) hence it was extremely loud if anyone moved into or out of the bed. The theatre could of been great, but you have composite (AV) connection for the video that doesn't work. The projector is capable of 720p/1080i and it's dumbed down. If I had the time while I was there, I would of purchased and installed either an HDMI, DVI, or component cables to get the most out of the projector. Finally - there was a broom but no dust pan, we had to get creative to pick up the dirt. We like to keep things clean while we are staying in a place. The cabin was pretty, but it was pricey for the value we received. The grill did come in handy.
Carol Q. from Troy, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2013 We stayed at the Mountain Magic cabin. It was nice and we had a great time. Cabin was nice, true to pictures, and roomy. My only complaints would be the following: We had reserved the cabin for 12. We arrived very late and only had sheets, linens and towels for 6 of us. It was not easy to get a hold of management for questions. We always had to leave a message for a call back, which sometimes took a while. My other complaint would be that the sofa bed mattresses were terrible! Not that I expected complete comfort but the kids couldn't event sleep on them! We had to fold them back into the couch and they just slept there. Another complaint was we only had enough toilet paper for 1 day? I would think that as much as we paid for this cabin toilet paper would have been more plentiful. I would say that stating this cabin sleeps 12 is a stretch, bring air mattresses! Other than those complaints we had a great time. The kids loved the pool table, big TV and hot tub. Gatlenberg is awesome!
A guest from Summerville, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 The cabin made for a wonderful family vacation place. But this cabin is better suited for a family of six people or less. We had nine. The dining room could only seat six comfortably and the bar in the kitchen wasn't built to eat at. But the pool table, hot tub and the cabin itself helped to make up for the dining issue.
A guest from Columbus, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2012 We had a great time at the magic mountain cabin! It was even better than the pictures showed and had everything we could need to entertain us for a week! We didn't have a view but we knew that going in, and downtown gatlinburg was just a few minutes away! Everything was perfect and we will definitely come back to elk springs resorts!
Ben M. from Bristol, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 Great Cabin. The big screen is for movies only. Needs to be networked with cable service. Very close to Gatlinburg. Will definitely stay here again.
A guest from Alpharetta, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 I think the overall design of the property was not great. 1. All three bedrooms are stacked on each other and rooms were so loud even if someone tried to walk very slow. Sounds travels real bad across all the bedrooms. 2. I think having a open toilet with no door is a bad idea. Smeel travels however hard you try ;)
Audrey F. from Gallatin, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 We had the best time and only wish we could have stayed longer. Hands down, our Mountain Magic cabin was TOP NOTCH and we look forward to staying in it again!! Everything was seriously perfect. The view, the amenities, the lay-out, the location, the service, etc. We were thoroughly please. Thanks, Elk Cabins!
A guest from Murfreesboro, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 When we arrived at the cabin, we were surprised at what we saw. The cabin was even more beautiful than the pictures showed. We had a blast there. The cabin was so big and just gorgeous. We ended up inviting my parents and brother and his girlfriend to join us. They also loved it. The cabin was so clean and completely furnished. We only had to bring our clothes and food. The cabin had everything else. We will definitely be coming back...actually, we are already planning a big family vacation at one of the Elk Springs Cabins for Christmas.
Douglas P. from Jackson, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2012 My wife to daughters (ages 18 and 20) stayed at Mountain Magic for 4 nights. The cabin was ready earlier than promised and it was spotless. The beds were very comfortable and surprisingly so were the pillows, although we brought our own to be safe. There was no mobile phone service in the cabin, so the no charge for using the land line was a big plus so that my daughters could talk to their boyfriends in the evenings. The wireless internet work great and the big screen w/surround sound was like being in your own private theater. It was convenient to the grocery store and close enough to Gatlinburg to be downtown in minutes, but far enough away to not be bothered. The view was nothing to write home about - just trees and other cabins, but otherwise it was a great stay. Check in/out was the easiest thing you can imagine. Directions were a snap. Thanks for making our staff fantastic.
Estherlena B. from Bay City, Michigan recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 Loved it, Loved it, Loved it. Peaceful, Peaceful, Peaceful. This was the first vacation that I was well rested after I left. The 12 hr drive didn't matter.
Jerry S. from Altoona, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 We have rented with Elks Spring for about 4 years now and this cabin was not as clean as the cabin we rented in the past and the location was not as good. The outside of the cabin needed some cleaning along with the deck needed some work. Rocking chairs need some work, too. This was a bigger cabin so that was why we rented it but not sure if we will rent it again in the future.
Susan E. from Gary, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2012 I have been to Gatlinburg before and always stayed in the mountains. This was the first time I was not in the mountains and did not think I would enjoy it. It was wounderful, I am trying to get some friends together so we can come back.
Dawn R. from Lousiville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in April, 2012 Everything was great like always! The only suggestion would be that the tv's in the bedrooms be upgraded to flat screens. Also we could not get the fireplace to come on. My husband stated it might have already been turned off for the season. Other than those issues we had a wonderful stay and we are already looking forward to our next stay!
Anthony V. from Hammond, Louisiana recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2012 This is my second time renting thru Elk Springs resort. The customer service is excellent and the cabins are great. The cabins descriptions are what the cabins are like. Great location and views from the outside porchs. My family loved everything about the cabin and we are already planning our next vacation and will be using Elk Springs rentals again.
Lisa G. from Empire, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2012 The cabin was beautiful, clean, easiy to find. The 3-levels were great because each group had their own bed, bath, kitchett, living room it was great. hot tub was big enough for serval people.
Chartiece G. from Odenville, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2011 Very nice! Hassle free and true to its word. No surprises, convenient location to downtown Gatlinburg, main attractions & nearby tourist areas
A guest from Lexington, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2011 This is the second year in a row that we have stayed with Elk Springs, its been awesome trips both times and plan on making it a yearly trip and wouldn't stay with anyone else. thanks !
Brian R. from Seaford, DE recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2011 My family spent several days in Gatlinburg to attend a wedding. We stayed at Mountain Magic and we had a wonderful time. The house was clean and spacious. We also had 5 small children with us and we all had a Great time. We would definitely stay with Elk Springs again.
Richard P. from Terre Haute, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2011 I was looking for a last minute cabin rental (two days before an October weekend - crazy really). When we found a place that showed available and tried to book it on-line, it would come back as unavailable. I sent an inquiring e-mail and the rental folks promptly responded and offered us this (better) cabin at the same price due to the trouble. Outstanding. Even though there were only five of us, the cabin was perfect. Clean, spacious with all the amenities. I've stayed in cabins around the smokies many times and I liked this location the best. Just east of Gatlinburg and convenient to the nearby Publix. During our stay we made one maintenance call to have the fireplace turned on (as the owner's manual requested us to do). They took care of it while we were out hiking - as promised. I would definintely recommend the Elk Springs Resort cabins to anyone - and we'll be back too.
Patrick P. from Cypress, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2011 Staying in Mountain Magic made our most recent vacation in Gatlinburg perfect! We have vacationed several times in Gatlinburg , and we do lots of traveling all over the country, usually staying in Time Shares, and this cabin was by far more luxurious and spacious than any we have stayed in! Our two teenagers were excited to each have their own floor, complete with their own private bedroom and bathroom, and we really enjoyed the pool table and HUGE flat screen tv. We deliberately didn't do a lot in town at night so that we could be back "home" , playing pool and watching movies together. This house is perfect for a large family, two families, or a family and grandparents. It will actually sleep 12. The large washer and dryer were a nice addition, as they are usually very small in Time Shares. The maintenance man was very helpful, coming out on Sunday to bring us a remote for the Flat Screen that was missing. We will plan our future visits to Gatlinburg around our new favorite place, Elk Springs Resort and Mountain Magic!
Mountain magic. Not the place to stay with motorcycles. Not the place to park and leave your bikes overnite.
A guest from Mt. Forest, Ontario recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals wayne, we've had literally 100's of people stay on our property with motorcycles with no issue. In fact, mt magic, the cabin you stayed in has a nice sized PAVED parking area and is relatively flat. It's not uncommon to drive into the property and see motorcycles and motorcycle trailers parked in front of Mt. Magic. Should anyone have any questions regarding motorcycle parking please call our toll free number and we can advise you of the best cabins to stay in for motorcycle parking.
A guest from Burlison, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2011 The only issue that we had was that there were 2 rolls of toilet paper in the cabin. We bought some and other than that it was fabulous.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Margaret, we're glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry about the toilet paper shortfall. We have housekeeping onsite and you can call us at any time for 24 hour assistance. There also is extra items in the cabinets in the bathrooms as well. You get 10% off as a repeat visitor!
A guest from Holland, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2011 Overall our stay was very good and it will be a great memory for our family. A couple of things prevented me from giving it the full 5 stars. 1) The cabins on the property are very close together-- closer than perhaps is shown in the web pictures. 2) Property is getting a little 'tired' and could use a little carpet cleaning, exterior cleaning, window/door maintenance. 3)While the cabins are well equipped from an amenity standpoint, you need to pack like you are going camping, including packing basic cleaning supplies like countertop cleaners, trash bags, coffee filters. You forget any of these and you're headed to the store...again.
Jennifer W. from Marion, AR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2011 We just returned from a 4 day/3 night stay in the Mountain Magic cabin where we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. Our only regret was that we didn't book it to stay longer. It was beautifully decorated, immacuately clean, nice furnishings and simple gorgeous! I can't wait to go back again!
Linda S. from Tallahassee, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2011 We were happy with everything except for two things. 1. The directions after you arrive in Gatlinburg we terrible. I woulod just say at traffic light 3A in Gatlinburg turn on _____road. 2. The Kitchen could use some more cooking items. Not dishes but other items. also two things of liquid detergent would be nice and a couple more dish rags and dish towels would be helpful. Awesome place though!
A guest from Orlando, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2011 We did a lot of research on the area and Elks Springs stood out head and shoulders above the rest. The booking was very easy and efficient, the staff is very responsive. They were answering my emails past 10 PM.Once we got there, the service was even better than expected. Cabin was very clean and well maintained. The basement was too cold to enjoye the movie theather room so we called the office. Within 5 minutes (not kidding!) of calling the office, someone was at the door and fixed the heather. Highly recommended...we'll be back.
Lisa P. from Orlando, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2011 Stayed in Mountain Magic and had the best family vacation ever. We had 4 adults and 4 kids and the kids never wanted to leave this cabin. The Xbox, Big screen TV and pool table kept them very entertained. I would highly recommend this cabin and company.
Twyla P. from Riverview, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2011 We enjoy the cabin, it was clean and on a great had everything we exceeded our expectations. We are already planning our next trip!
A guest from Soddy Daisy, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2010 We had a great time and have recommended staying with Elk Springs Resorts to all of our friends. It is very close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It's a great place for a weekend getaway!
Josh G. from Chattanooga, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 Not enough privacy at the cabin in general. Kitchen was sparse in terms of utensils and cookware. Cabin size was great, plenty of room for everyone. Kept very clean and nice.
Brenda H. from Goshen, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2010 This was our 2nd Family Reunion at Mountain Magic. We again had an awesome time! The upgrades to the cabin were great - loved the big screen!! A couple of things were needed: 1. Lighting on the outside steps. It is really dark and more lighting would be greatly appreciated. 2. Also, it seemed like several amenities must have been stolen since last year - mixer; chopper; potato peeler. We made a list of things to bring next year, but we expected those items to be there. Sad that people take them. We plan to return - going to Mountain Magic feels like "coming home" - and it is great that we have found a place for the family to meet. Everyone loves it - family from Ohio, Tennessee, and North Carolina - we are looking forward to Thanksgiving 2011 - we'll be back!!
A guest from Elizabethtown, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2010 I was not dissapointed when we opened the front door and saw a beautiful log home that was lavish, functional, and VERY comfortable. The management team was very helpful with all arrangements and getting to the property. My children were always "OK" with going back to the cabin when the touring was done, they LOVED it as well. We were making plans for a return visit on our way home. We will be comeing back to Elk Springs Resort for MANY years to come, and would advise the same to anyone wanting to visit the Smokies.
A guest from Dawson, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2010 Our stay was fabulous. It took 2 days and an actual walk around the property to determine there was a cabin on the other side. It was as if the trees actually grew up around the cabins. This privacy along with the quietness of the location was impressive. The only items I can mention that didn't make the cleanliness score perfect were the blinds were very dusty and the grill itself was rusty - probably needed a cover. These items were minimal and hardly detracted from our stay there. We plan on returning again!! It is the ONLY place to stay in Gatlinburg!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thanks for the kind review, Dana. Sometimes we overlook things so we're glad you pointed them out and we're glad you enjoyed your stay! We appreciate the feedback!
A guest from Groton, CE recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2010 Our stay was every enjoyable. The cabin was very clean and had everything would could ever need with one exception. There was only one small 6" fry pan. Also the matress on the beds in upper level were pretty worn and uncomfortable with one of them having a tilt. Aside from this we were more then pleased and are hoping to return soon.
A guest from Arabi, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2010 The cabin was exactly as described, made you feel right at home. Great location. Had a great time and cant wait to go back. Kids enjoyed the cabin as much as Cades Cove and Dollywood combined. They couldnt wait to get back to the cabin some days.
The "Elk Springs Experience" was even BETTER THAN I IMAGINED!!
Leslie T. from St Louis, Missouri recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 I read alot of reviews about Elk Springs before I booked my reservation, and 99.9% of them were very positive... which at first was hard to believe. But when my family & I got there, it blew me away. The cabin was stunning and very spacious. There were 12 of us and weren't bumping into on another all the time. There are lots of activities to do in town, but once you see these cabins, your not gonna want to go anywhere... but maybe to the jacuzzi... or the home theatre... or the the deck for the great scenery & bar-b-cue. I've been back home for about a week now and I'm still thinking about it!! If you need a real vacation, I recommend everyone to get the "ESE" (See Title)! Thank You Elk Springs, and we'll definately be back!!
Becky M. from Cane Ridge, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 Had some maintenance issues (things broken prior to arrival that were not fixed, but rigged/glued, but they came out to look at it immediately & explain the situation. Some areas not dusted (ie: nightstands & fixtures around the beds in the bedrooms), and not enough towels when you have a hot tub on site and 6 people staying!!About 15 mins from everything, but the seclusion was nice. :)
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We have onsite housekeeping and maintenance and can respond within minutes to requests. Also, we supply extra towels below the sinks and each unit is equipped with a fullsize washer and dryer.
A guest from Murfreesboro, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2010 We really enjoyed our 3 night stay to Mountain Magic. We just wish it would've lasted longer. Cabin is just as pictured and provided plenty of room for everyone to have their own space. There was so much to do at the cabin that we just stayed in one day, playing pool, watching movies, grilling out and taking advantage of the hot tub. We had a great stay!
Bethany W. from Bourbonnais, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2010 The cabin over all was really great. There were plenty of beds and sleeping space to accommadate everyone in our group. It was also nice to have the giant screen downstairs to watch movies together on.
Nice Place with very little attention could be great
A guest from Dayton, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2010 Had a creepy crawaly bug issue down stairs bath and bedroom...not bad but killed a dozen or so...don't like bugs...still had wasp problem by hot tub...these were small issues it was close to the national park and town and well equipped and clean.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We apologize for the bug issues. They were extremely worse than normal this year and with increased pest control it is now under control. A call to the office and we can always quickly remedy.
Rodney E. from Plainfield, IN. recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2010 The automated check-in procedure was very easy. The cabin was very clean. The location was not as convenient as we were used to but it was a pretty setting. The only downfalls were that there were considerable amounts of centipedes (multi-legged worms) in the cabin. Also, the upstairs loft bedroom bothered us in the master bedroom every time our 6'4" boys turned over in their beds. Otherwise, we enjoyed our time there.
A guest from Dayton, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 We had a great time. We loved both the hot tub and jacuzzi, and surround sound in the theater room. The cabin was in a great location. Not to far from the activities but still quiet and secluded.Oh, just a couple of small things. We needed more trash bags only two were provided. We cooked all three days and we had a total of seven people in the cabin so we had a lot of trash. Also, we only had one small frying pan. For the size of the cabin at least one big one would have been nice. The only other thing, was the small insects inside the cabin. Maybe a good spray would keep the bugs away. We had a great time, and will be planning on going back soon!
A guest from Fayetteville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2010 THIS CABIN WAS EVERTHING THE PICTURES SHOWED . STAFF WAS EXCELLENT . I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CABIN . ILL BE BACK TO THIS RESORT .EVERTHING IN THE CABIN YOU NEED TO MAKE IT LIKE HOME AWAY FROM HOME .
Heather I. from Hapeville, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2010 This was our second stay @ Elk Springs and we wouldn't stay anywhere else in Gatlinburg! We love the cabins, location, staff, amenities, etc. Check in/out is so easy and stress free and the cabins are always amazing. Can't wait to stay w/ Elk Springs again!!!
Mark T. from Lexington, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2010 We had a great time in our cabin. It was exactly as advertised and the staff was unbelievably helpful. They even came out at 8 PM our first night there to resolve a maintenance issue! When we come back to the area we will look at Elk Springs Resort first.
A guest from Independence, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2010 this was a great place to spend a vacation with the family. The cabin was very clean and large! The cabin was just far enough away from downtown for us still to enjoy it when we decided. th staff(who stayed out of sight), were very helpful. My husband left some paper work he needed Monday morning in the cabin and was afraid he would not be able to get a hold of anyone to retreive it...that was not the case we called and found out housekeeping gave it to the property manager. we were able to turn around and pick it up...on a sunday!
I would highly recommend Elk Springs Resorts to anyone. The lodges were beautiful and very clean. Close to everything we wante
Diane H. from Onondaga, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2010 If we needed anything, someone was right there to get us what we needed. I would highly recommend Mountain Magic. Very nice.
Charnel S. from Bartlett, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2010 We really enjoyed our stay at the Elk Spring Resort. Our cabin was fantastic! We could not get the theater screen to work with the DVD player, so we really wasted money on the DVDs (redbox) and the extra fees for a movie screen. Eevryone was very helpful, especially the man who assisted us with checkin. AT&T does not work in the cabin, so be prepared for an alternative. The bed was not soft at all. They can also stand to upgrade the cheap, low-quality sheets on the bed. Seriously. It felt like sleeping on a board with paper towels! My back was hurting. This was the only negative. EVERYTHING else was amazing! I would rush back there today if I could. The location is fantastic. We were right down the street from the Food Lion and the Liquor Store. I slept so good, I did not want to wake up! Be prepared to enjoy yourself. Next time, I'm bringing my own bed linens.
The cabin far exceeded our expectations! We couldn't have asked for anything more! I have already recommended it to friends.
Kristy L. from Tallahassee, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 It would be nice if a small bottle of kitchen cleaner (lysol, bleach, or something of the like) was available to wipe down countertops and stove after cooking. That is the ONLY thing thing we missed having. Everything else was absolutely perfect!
Jamie W. from Yucaipa, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 This cabin was very beautiful and clean when we arrived. The main issue was the wasps that attacked us when we arrived. There were many in the house, dead and alive, as well as a swarm outside the slider. The decks were unusable for some of the time there because of the wasps. My daughters were petrified to be in the cabin until I killed all of the wasps inside. I called the management company and they were pretty quick to send someone to spray for them, but they could only do that outside. They did keep finding their way inside, unfortunately, over our whole stay. Another issue was the fact that there was only one rocking chair on the decks when we arrived. Again, the management company was quick to respond and they brought the rockers promised on the internet. The cabin was quite a ways from downtown Gatlinburg, I was hoping that it would be within walking distance. All in all, the cabin was very nice, even with the issues.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Jamie, the wasps were particulary bad in our area early this spring - much much worse than we've ever seen before, but we definitely have them under control now. Sorry for the inconvenience and we do hope that you stay with us again - I think you'll be very impressed on your next wasp free stay.
Katherine F. from Bowling Green, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2010 Usually when you check photos on a website the photos depict a the facility in prestine condition; however, normally when you arrive for the most part it is the same, but not as immaculate as in the photos. This was not the case at this cabin. The cleanliness and beauty is exceeded the photos! Very pleased with the rental!
Amy S. from Clearwater, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2009 We brought a group of 40 teenagers and the cabins were amazing. The management was extremely helpful and the trip was very memorable.
Brenda H. from Goshen, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2009 Overall, it was great! However, there needed to be more outside lighting. The steps were dark and dangerous. Not enough amenities, i.e., no mixer; no large mixing bowl; no salt or pepper; not enough towels, washcloths, soap. TV reception in basement was poor; no games; not enough chairs on decks. We couldn't find the indoor pool & bowling alley. Enjoyed the roominess; although kitchen was a little small. Needed blinds on the window by the table - the sun was unbearable coming through the bare windows. Liked having a keycode so that we didn't have to keep up with keys. Could have used more parking spaces. Location was great! Close to Gatlinburg, but very secluded. Couldn't get cell phone connection. Very clean. some of the dishes were badly chipped and unusable. The handle on the microwave was loose and would fall off. No pitchers to make iced tea. Coffee pot didn't keep coffee hot very long. The grocery store and Dollar Store were very convenient. We were there 4 nights, with lots of family coming in and out. Had a GREAT time. Would definitely return!!
A guest from Leport, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2009 It was very peaceful and loved every moment there. The cabin was amazing. A part of me didn't want to leave.Planning to come back next year.
Relaxing vacation in the beautiful smoky mountains
Michael S. from Sumter, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2009 This was one of the most enjoyable trips I have ever taken. The cabins were beautiful and the location was perfect. Close to town but also secluded. I am already planning a trip back!
Ronald B. from Grosse Pointe, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2009 There was a 15% discount advertised on the company's website (75 year aniversery of the smokey mountain park)that I don't think was ever reflected in what was charged to my credit card. I tried to call to get it corrected but was told it couldn't be done. Other than this one (significant) issue, our stay was wonderful. Unfortunately, it will keep us from visiting again or recommending to friends/family.
A guest from New Palastine, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in March, 2009 The cabin was very nice, had a problem with wasp getting in thru the logs,The security of the complex seems a little lapse, cabin next to us was robbed(it was not rented at the time), and it made us a little uneasy the rest of the week.Overall it was decent, but not blown away for the price.
Anedra H. from Virginia Beach, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2009 We would recommend Elks Lodge to our friends and family. We hadn't unpacked and were already planning our next trip.
Glenn A. from Summerset, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2009 I wanted to add a few comments that could and should be addressed. First of all: First look at the surrounding property was very a look at basically trash blowing around and in the woods. The trash was just littered throughout the wooded area. Instead of seeing wildlife that was our view, very disappointing and sad. We all need to work together as global warming and our planet is such a concern. Let's all go green to do our best to protect our planet. Another concern is no privacy surrounding the hot tub area it needs to have blinds or something there to have more privacy. The basement was so frigid that you could see your breath even though the heat was on. The sofa in the living area was worn out so very uncomfortable that we just sat in the chairs. The tv in the living area was too small to see from the chairs. So, their needs to be more comfortable furniture bottom line. Another concern everyone else had their ceiling fan on but not us. We could not reach it to turn it on. The doors did not lock on the sliding glass doors upstairs or downstairs. The water pressure needs to be turned up. We hardly had any.Thank you for listening Glenn Ailes
A guest from Rochester, MI does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2008 Generally enjoyed our visit. However, we were there during a cold period in November. The lower level seemed about 25 degrees colder than the rest of the cabin. A couple other minor things for the management to deal with: The 2nd level toilet was leaking and the fry pan was completely unusable.
A guest from Suwanee, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2008 Great location and well equiped cabins, we will be back. Thanks to Andy and the staff. As a suggestion, since the cabins have rounded walls, where each log meets the next; it would be nice if someone wiped the walls down on the top side of each log, unfortunately, dust collects on each one. With allergies in our family we have to be aware of our surroundings. Thanks again!
A guest from Lebanon, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2008 We just assumed there would be little things like salt and pepper and coffee filters, which there were not and we had to go out and buy. The hot water in the master BR tub is installed backwards. The knobs should at least be changed to show the right color. We did very much enjoy our stay there and will come back again. Thanks
Korey C. from Columbia, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2008 The Mountain Magic cabin was beautiful. The cabin was roomy. The property manager, Andy, was very nice. We were referred to Elk Ridge Resorts and we will also refer friends and family to Elk Ridge. We will be back soon!!!
We did not get what we were told we were getting.....
A guest from Ponchatoula, LA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2008 We requested a new cabin with certain amenities when we booked our reservation and were assured that we would be satisfied. Upon arrival we were told that there was a mix up with our reservation, and we would be upgraded to a three bedroom cabin...mountain magic. Upgrade what a joke! Mountain magic had few amenities and a horrible view. The worst thing aboout it was that the cabin was not clean. The shower curtains had mildew on them. Thank goodness I brought cleaning stuff as I had to clean the tubs before I would bath my kids in them. My children's socks were black 5 min after walking around on the hardwood floor. We also had to wash the dishes and utensils before using them; they were very dirty also. There were rocks in the garbage disposal. I could go on and on. Luckily after 2 nights we moved to another cabin that was just what we were looking for. I am just upset that we wasted 2 days of our vacation cleaning and moving.
Property Manager Response:
Thank you for the comments. We have remedied the cleaning issues in the cabin as this was recently transferred from a previous management company. We apologize for the dirty cabin. Our goal is to be responsive to customer concerns and thus we did move you to a cabin that you reviewed very well. thank you again for the comments.
