August 2016: Family Whistler reunion
A guest from Surrey, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 Positives first: great location, dishwasher, washer, dryer.Other comments: as the location is great, the owners have obviously spent nvery little on upkeep. -carpets were dated and luckily they were dark so u could not see how dirty they felt on your feet.-musty smell-we were told the houskeeper had been there prior but honestly did not look like it. Pulled out the sofa bed and crumbs fell out. Kids slept on floor after putting sheets down as thought perhaps that would be cleaner. Thank goodness we brought sleeping bags.-no BBQ in our suite. Thought all were supposed to have one?-swimming pool was tiny. Not exaggerating, maybe the size of 10 bathtubs put together.End on a positive...great location. They say this is everything but wasn't so for us. Would not come back here. Perhaps other owners took some time to update and will have a different experience.
Property Manager Response: Response from Whistler Lodging - AllSeason Vacation Rentals It is always disappointing when a guest is not totally satisfied with their home. This guest booked several homes and then arrived three hours early putting our cleaning staff into high gear to get things ready for them. As you can see from the many other review of our homes we do a great job on cleaning the homes. After a long summer with many guests bringing mountain bikes into the homes the carpets are in need of a clean. I have pre-arranged for carpet cleaning in all of our homes in mid September. We will also be looking at a new couch this year. Other than that the home was painted last year and everything else is great. Trev manager
A guest from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2016 This place is an amazing super walkable location. We parked our car and didn't touch it again until we were leaving. Super close to grocery store, restaurants. Everything you could need is very close. The place it self is a little underwhelming for the price. The pictures are generous regarding the condition of the place. The furniture is obviously very very well used and is starting to deteriorate.. There was holes in the couch. It could have been cleaner. We found drip marks on the mirrored closet door in the master and a few other things that should have been taken care of before we arrived. Hot tub was great, and very clean. Overall the location wins and this place will certainly do if you spend most of your time out on the mountain.
Irina L. from burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 My family and I had a wonderful time staying at your place...feel like a home...all necessary stuff in the kitchen...quiet and cozy... We will come back soon!!!P.S. Cleaning Lady, didn't get your name,Thank you for being so nice to us...
Charles R. from maple falls, a recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 We usually stay at pan pacific mountainside, and I'm really glad we gave this place a try. Much better overall value then any of the village center hotels. Private hot tub eliminates the fear of an apres rush and overcrowding. Full kitchen is also great as many restaurants in whistler are pricey for the quality of food offered (rimrock cafe is Always worth a visit, though).
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2016 Overall experience was good. Love the location and the layout of the unit. While it was clean and well equipped it did have some worn spots. Would stay again but would look for another unit with the upgraded kitchen etc.
A guest from Princeton, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in March, 2016 Rental home was in great condition and very quiet, plus hot tub was a big bonus. Only thing I would say is the Queen bed needs replacement, has a valley and very hard to get comfortable.
Sharon K. from a, a does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2015 We enjoyed our whistler vacation with our family, unfortunately we could not get the oven to work on Christmas day, but other than that I would definitely recommend it to others.
Donald L. from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2015 This is our 2nd year renting with Trevor. Location is very convenient, close to IGA, liquor store, kids playground and skating rink. Love the 2nd floor private hot tub. Very clean place. Only knock is that the TV is smaller than in the pics and I couldn't get the hot tub to stay hot enough after about 30min (all first world problems). Will definitely return next year!
A guest from fort st john, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2015 Very spacious, clean, comfortable and close to the heart of whistler. Views of mountains/trees from Hottub are great! Reasonably priced. Would highly recommend a stay here!
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2015 We enjoyed our 6 night stay in our condo. It was immaculate, comfortable and in a great location close to the village. The Staff (Sara) and Trevor were very helpful and friendly. The balcony with hot tub was a bonus plus the one off bedroom had a great view. Will be back...
A guest from Norwich, Norfolk recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 Located in an excellent position, clean, well appointed with everything we needed (even down to washing powder, dishwasher powder etc), this was an excellent apartment. The one downside was the noise from hot tubs and air con units from other nearby apartments which was intrusive at times.
A guest from kiel, a recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2015 This was a great place to spend a few days in Whistler with my family. We have two young kids (ages 7 and 3) and the short distance to the Olympic Plaza and playground was a real plus. We also enjoyed getting directly on the village trail for a short run or hike to Lost Lake. The apartment was perfect for our needs, not too fancy but had everything we needed.
Shogo N. from c, d recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in August, 2015 All accomodations are quite well.especially patio bathing, much enough electric facilities. Also very convenient with tow beds, double 's very close to the market.
Adrienne D. from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 We have stayed at Glacier Reach many times always booking through AllSeason Vacation Rentals. We are never disappointed with our choice! The units are comfortable, practical and any issues we have ever had are addressed immediately. For this particular adventure, my husband and I brought up our 16 year old daughter and 5 of her friends to attend the Pemberton Music Festival. It was an ideal location as it was a 5 minute walk to the Pemberton Shuttle. Every morning we went for a bike ride, then spent time at the pool and then off to the festival. Heaven!!!! Can't wait until next year:-)
A guest from a, a recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 This is a townhome located very close to Whistler village. It is a 3-level setup, with living room and kitchen in the first floor, a bathroom in the second floor and a bedroom and suite in 3rd floor. Overall very nice, my only complaint is that there is only air conditioning on the 3rd floor and it was very warm on the days I was there.
A guest from Chilliwack, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2015 Great room with all the amenities. Loved the hottub. Only downside was the porch sliding screen door was not in working condition (fell off when I tried to close it) so the bugs got in as it was too warm to have the door shut.
Paul C. from a, a recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 A nice couple of days, location was ok, bit of a walk, bus ride to lifts, opted tus day lots on black comb Unit was good, clean, older complex, free parking a plus
Daryl H. from White Rock, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2015 This is my second on not last time staying at Glaciers Reach. I have stayed a lots of places in Whistler and I love this place because you get lots of space, you are close to the liquor and grocery store and having your own private hot tub is an absolute bonus. Trevor makes it so easy if you have any questions and be sure to read and highlight the instructions as it is up to you to figure things out, I like that aspect. We will be back again. Oh and if you want to treat yourself, head to 21 steps restaurant for an expensive but yummy steak. An excellent treat after a hard day on the mountain!
A guest from Zurich, a recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2015 Great location - very close to shops, restaurants and skiing. Trevor took care of us from the moment we had booked. Great managementf!
A guest from St Albert, AB recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2015 Another successful rental from Trevor. We keep returning to Glaciers Reach because accommodations are comfortable, clean and conveniently located close to the Whistler Village. Bit of noise from partying neighbours, but otherwise no concerns.
Katherine A. from Minden, ON recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2014 We had a wonderful vacation in Whistler. This was our first time and we were worried we may have been too far away from the hills. This location is ideal as you are literally across the road from the grocery store and the walking path that meanders thru the village. The unit was very clean and kitchen is very well equipped to prepare great family meals. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day and the beds were comfortable. We would definitely go back
Excellent position - clean tidy and well furnished.
Glennis S. from c, d recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2014 We were four adults with no car - excellent place walking distance to the center. Clean tidy well equipped with all that you would need. Certainly recommend it to others. Excellent restaurants in walking distance.
A guest from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2014 Our first stay at Glaciers Reach was many years ago and it was a very positive experience. This time it is a smaller unit for just the four of us so the configuration is also different. It was just the right amount of space for us, including two teenagers. We reserved through , which only provided confirmation with property address, so when we arrived, we had to call to find the unit # and parking space from the management company owner, Traver, who promptly provided helpful answers. We loved having a full kitchen stocked with all needed cookware and utensils. The house was clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. The best is the hot tub. Did not think we would use it on warm/hot days, but it was a perfect place to relax the muscles and mind after a day of zip-lining, hiking and Peak-to-Peak gondola rides. Market Grocery is only a few minutes of walk from Glaciers Reach. Would go back again in the future.
Jill R. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2014 We spent several nights in Whistler as a family get away - this was a perfect condo for our family of four. The location was perfect, beds comfy, it was an unusually hot week in Whistler and we were thankful for the air conditioning. Loved the book of suggested places to go - we used several of your recommendations and were thrilled with what we experienced.
Jesse S. from Vancouver, B.C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2014 Very nice unit, good location by the village. Only real complaints were there were a lot of parties there in adjacent units which disturbed the peace (It was the May long weekend).
A guest from Maple Ridge, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 Overall a comfortable place to stay. This 2nd floor property was more private than the 1st floor we had last time. The free shuttle to lift was a convenient and easy 1 min walk away. Would consider it again for our next girls ski trip to Whistler.
Pamela C. from West Vancouver, B.C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2014 From booking to follow up, the entire process was seamless, professional and prompt. All requests and questions were answered very quickly within the hour. The townhome was spacious, clean, well maintained. Parking was easy. Very close to the bus route to the village and the market place. So convenient. The neighbours were nice and a family friendly location. Very quiet in the evening. The hot tub was perfect for our family of 4. I will definitely book again and perhaps with other families in the summer.
A guest from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2014 Trevor was professional in providing whatever services were required. The rooms were in great conditions and all amenities were present and functional. There was even an xbox in the room! Only minor detail is I suggest washing dishes before you use them. Either previous customers or cleaners did not do a thorough job.Overall great place.
A guest from Surrey, B.C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 The resort was awesome. Xbox was older but kept the kids happy.. Very clean has everything! Also we did forget a pair of Jordan shoes, Trevor the resort manager was so good to us and sent the shoes within a few days. It was out of his way to find them and send. We will stay there again, was a good family vacation.
Thomas E. from Burnham, GB does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2013 The whole place inside and out was dirty. The furnishings, dishes, etc. were oldThe patio furniture was disgusting and too old to use. The floor of the patio was filthyThe linens in the bedrooms were not fresh A tree off the living room patio blocked any daylight/view which meant you had to have the lights on all dayI would not recommend this unit to anybody
Property Manager Response: Response from AllSeason Vacation Rentals It is true that a tree had grown up and blocked the view from the lower deck and I have personally removed several branches and now there is a great view of Whistler mountain from the deck. I spent several hours trying to appease this guest but there is an saying that is old and true that you can not make all of the people happy all of the time. I hope that you will take into account the nearly 1000 positive guest reviews that we have earned. Trevor Chelswick owner of All Season Vacation Rentals
Peter S. from Soldeu, Cannillo recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in April, 2013 Great location far away enough from the party seen, Great to have bus stop accros the sreeet. Handy to supermarket& Avis rental.Clean tidy every thing worked. Would stay again.
Reviewed by: Dave C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2012 2nd time we have stayed at Glaciers Reach and again, love it! Love the location, amenities (bbq, hot tub, fireplace, air/con in the summer, etc. ect.)!
Douglas S. from Kenmore, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in September, 2012 This is our second year staying in Glacer's Reach and again we had a great time. We rode everyday and slept like babies. We will be back next year for sure.
This was everything we expected. We being able to come "home".
Anita T. from Maple Valley, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 This place was in a great location, just across the street from the village, so it offed more privacy than the places inside. The private hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking and walking around. Trevor was helpful and readily available. The price was more than competitive and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Adam J. from Richmond, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 We stayed in a group of 5.5 individuals, as we had an 11 month old infant travelling with us. Upon arrival, we found the property to be spotless and ready for use. We were impressed with all of the amenities offered, including a functional dishwasher, washer and dryer. Plates and the like were all also included, which made it a breeze to start settling in immediately. We also didn't find noise to be an issue, even for our baby. The property does come with a pool, which looked very nice, but we never got around to using it. The location of the complex itself cannot be beat, and we rate the overall holiday as being extremely memorable.
Jim & Loretta A. from v, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2012 Great location on the edge of the village. It was nice and quite so we slept well but within walking distance of everything in the village. Loved it would definitely stay there again.
John M. from HILLSBORO, Oregon recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012 Overall a great stay with few items to mention:1. Hot tub with four people in it tended to spill water over the edge onto the deck, maybe a bit less full?2. Guest bath hot water sink knob broken and fell off the faucet.3. Master bath shower curtain rod would not stay up, fell down couple times, tried to tighten but rubber end was missing to make it grip properly4. Left side blind in master came out of metal attachment and fell to the floor, I was able to put it back together but it looks like it will continue to come out at times.
Property Manager Response: Response from Whistler Vacations Thanks for the heads up, I have repaired most of the items on the list.Trevor (manager)
Joel M. from Seattle, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2012 Great value, and Trevor is great to do business with. I appreciate how responsive he is to his guests, and that he rewards repeat customers. We intend to keep coming back.
Anne K. from v, b recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2012 We had a fantastic 3 night stay, everything was exactly as described. The hot tub was great, the linens were spotless and there was plenty of space. Even the sofa bed in the lounge was comfortable! Its a perfect location for everything in Whistler too.
A guest from New Westminster, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2011 We were looking for a cheap but nice place to have a couples getaway. When we got there, we were blown away by how nice it was. Fully stocked kitchen, bathroom soaps and shampoo, and the Hot Tub ready at 104 degrees!!!! We had trouble with the fireplace not being lit. However, one call to Trevor and he was there so fast to fix it himself! Definitely will be going again. Thanks a lot Trevor!
Vern T. from Abbotsford, B.C. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 The unit had plenty of dishes, towels ,all soaps (dishwasher, hand, laundry detergent) All over was very good. My family will come back to this facility if we to visit whistler again.
Debbie D. from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2011 the only problem we had was the time we were there they were doing construction on some of the other units and it was quite bothersome during the day. not enought chairs at the pool either.
Anna L. from Richmond, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 I mostly enjoyed my stay at this property. Everything was quite close (within a short walk) and the condo was kept quite well. My biggest complaint is that we weren't able to get a hold of the property manager when we had a question. We left a message, expecting a return call within a few hours but we never received a call. What if something had happened? Who would we be able to speak to?Also, the instructions for checking in were very confusing. The instructions made it sound like we had to speak to the reception but then stated the management wasn't affiliated with the reception.Once we figured out that we were just meant to use the map outside the reception office, we headed to our condo and picked up our keys... that didn't fit in the front door. Thank goodness for the keypad. Once again, this would have been something we would have mentioned to the property manager, but we didn't hear a word from him. Also, afterwards, my friend was looking on another website and the hours for check in and check out were different from the ones in our instructions. From the other website, it seemed we could have gotten in the condo an hour earlier and left an hour later.Would I recommend this property? Yes because it is so conveniently close to everything and the condo itself is quite nice (though instructions with the hot tub would have helped). At the same time, no, not if they can find something comparable and nearby. The check in process is so strange and the instructions are so unclear that if they can find a property with better management, even for a little bit more money, then it's worth it.And I won't mention the issue of confirming the room prior to our stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Whistler Vacations Hi Anna, I am sorry that you were not able to get in touch with me. I have a toll free cell number that I have on me 24/7 ? I take great pride in the level of service that I provide my guests and consider my self to be extremely accessible as you can see from numerous other reviews. I apologize that your experience was not the same. SincerelyTrevor Chelswick (owner and manager of AllSeason Vacation rentals)
Nancy P. from v, b recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2011 Our stay at Glacier Reach was awesome. Everything met our expectations and beyond. Property manager very helpful before and during our stay and had a very handy binder with Village Tips. Even though it was in the north portion of the village you could cross the street and catch the free bus to the lifts. And being a little north ment for quieter evenings. Hottubs on decks were great as we looked out to the Mountain peak and saw the SUPER MOON go up during our stay. Thanks Trevor!! We plan to save our pennies so we can return. Wild Wood best restaurant and Avalanche Pizza :o))
Kalvin T. from Victoria, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2011 My only dissapointment at this location was that as part of a Strata there were a great many rules strictly inforced. While the presense of a constant raoming night security enhanced our stay I'm sure, it also had some dissapointments. Mainly regarding the Hot Tub. Hvaing a Hot Tub was a prequisite for my choice, had I known that our private Hot Tub could not be used by threat of eviction or fine after 11pm, I would not have stayed here
Keven O. from Lynwood, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2010 I have stayed in no less than 20 different properties since 1966, including a 2.5 million condo. I have also stayed at First Tracks and Legends. We thought that Trevor was great to work with and we had zero problems with all three units. This trip was important to me because I am the DAD and Grandfauther of all that were there. Thanks for the great POW, 7 feet in 7 days
A guest from v, b recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2010 The pictures on the website did not do this property justice. The rooms were very clean, spacious and full of everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was amazing at the end of the day and it really felt like a home away from home. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.
Rob S. from v, b recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 Hello Trevor... Sorry for the late review but our vacation continued after our Whistler stay :) We had an issue with our stay in #71... the pull out bed is simply put, beat up... the bed pinched our friend's fingers trying to pull it out firstly... meanwhile the end where the head lies is bent downwards... he ended up trying to sleep the other direction to compensate but was uncomfortable and after two nights actually chose to stay at our friend's chalet on the Sunday night instead... I felt bad about charging him his 1/4 of the condo and feel a refund or credit would be fair... our stay was otherwise enjoyable as always but u can understand our friend's displeasure... the bed needs to be replaced I would say... this is, by the way, the same unit that the hottub was not working when we rented it two years ago with no offer of a refund/credit... Look forward to hearing back, Rob Sims
A guest from v, b does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 Private hottubs cause constant noiseIt talks about security...how were they to be contacted...we had partying to all hours of the night...obviously no obvious secuity. We had 13 stairs to get into the unit...were not told.Pictures did not match property condition
Property Manager Response: Response from Whistler Vacations You can't make everyone happy all of the time. We have had some issues with our security not being effective enough. The building is now under new strata management and they will be addressing this.Trevor (owner and operator of AllSeason Vacation Rentals)
Kirsten E. from v, b recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2010 The unit was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Loved the layout.... very spacious for our family of 4 and we loved the hot tub! The location was fabulous...right across the street from Whistler Village. Already planning our next visit!
Katie C. from v, b recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2010 I will never stay at a hotel again when we visit Whistler. This property is the only way to go. So much room, clean, comfy and the most amazing views. Thank you Trevor, we will be back in Aug.
John B. from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2009 units are showing their age. Cutlery/crockery was unmatched although variety of cooking utensils was better than average. The furniture in the living/dining area was spartan and not welcoming. Some of the appliances (lights/toaster) not working. As always, the cleanliness was top notch and the support by management excellent.Lots of towels and the beds comfortable. We stay at Glaciers Reach every year and certainly will continue to do so.
Nina T. from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2009 It was definitely better than staying at a hotel. It feels like home. It has everything you need and its cheaper than a hotel! Thanks so much for your help. We had a great time there.
A guest from Kellyville, NSW recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2009 We stayed at Whistler at the end of September 2009, The location of our accommodation was execellent, only 2min walk to all the shops and pubs and activities. It was great to be so close but then good to walk away from the hustle and bustle of the village to peace and quite.
A guest from Bellingham, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2009 Had a great time. Condo walking distance to everything. Very comfortable. Only complaint is that the hot tub is loud and is always running (even when the jets are off). When the hot tubs wear out you might consider buying a Northern Hot Springs brand (that's what we have at home) and it is very quiet. Other than that, we were really pleased. Thank you. We're looking forward to our next trip to Whistler!
Patricia Y. from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2009 this is my 3rd time staying in one of the glacier reach condos. it was absolutely fantastic. great location, 5 mins from the village, wash and dry, and overall a very nice place to stay.
Brian P. from Cypress, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 Great place to stay in Whistler village area. Short walk to village for food, shopping, and most tours pick up from there too. Loved the private hot tub and view of Blackcomb mountain. Would definitely stay here again. Even the XBOX system worked for games and movies. Only minor complaints are limited cable TV channels, really firm beds in second bedroom.
Tara C. from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2009 I had a wonderful stay at Glaciers Reach. The townhouse had everything we could possibly need. Would come back in a heartbeat.
Lidia H. from Maple Ridge, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2009 The building appeared to be reasonably new at first glance, but living there for a few days, I noticed that it was well lived in. The pool was too cold and the hot tube wasn't hot enough and our air conditioner didn?t work very well. It needs some up dating. But overall the place has alot of potential. We would come back because it was a pretty good location, we felt fairly comfortable there and with friends it would be a great place to share!
A guest from Vancouver, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2009 had an excellent stay at Glaciers Reach...great location and the townhome was very clean...i would stay there again and would recommend this place to others.....
Larry H. from Bellevue, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2009 I took my kids & a friend up to Whistler for spring break, and we stayed in this condo. It was very nicely set up, with 2 floors, 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 decks...and a private hot tub. The place was immaculate, and had all the amenities we were looking for, including LCD TVs, and an Xbox for the kids. Plenty of room for us all, and we very much enjoyed our stay. Convenient location for the Marketplace (groceries & liquor), about a 12 minute walk to the lifts, and a good view of the top of Blackcomb from the hot tub. All in all, an A+.
Michelle A. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2009 Found everything we needed. Trevor was very helpful. This is our 2nd year in the same unit and will come back again next year! Thank you!!!!!
Parking was an issue & fixtures were not work well
Stephen F. from Roseland, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2009 Overall the mountain was great. The owner manager did not help much. We had our car towed because we had no key to park and the additional parking was full he said he would cover half the towing bill. We heard nothing back from him. the toilet ran all the time and I had to glue the handle on the microwave to be able to use it. thanks for your concern. I will be back to the mountian
