The unit does need a bit of maintenance and better lighting, and an additional chair and coffee table in the living room would be an asset. The pull curtain in the master is in a state of repair, and there is molding coming off the shower door. Dirty dishes in the dishwasher, no dishwasher soap, towels that smelled like urine, and wet towels in the washing machine - maybe the cleaning staff failed to return and finish their job? I think this particular unit has seen some abuse that other units we have stayed in on the property have not. We do enjoy the location and all the property has to offer! Fast Wifi in this unit! |

We were 2 families and absolutely enjoyed the property. Only 15 mins from the airport. The water slides, spa and pool are pretty good. We just didnt like the 10am checkout, felt too early. A wonderful family holiday Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 18 days in December, 2012 We spent 3 weeks in this condo over the Christmas holidays 2012/13. The unit was beautiful and the property is stunning. Our family of 4 including 2 teenagers were very happy. Great gym, great pool, great beach.The only suggestions would be to fix the light switches on the bedroom lamps in second bedroom and consider installing dimmers on other lights so that we can adjust ambiance better. The plaza across the road has great stores, very convenient, although it is also very busy and it took us a couple of days to get used to the traffic noise. We slept with windows closed and fans on in bedrooms to keep noise out at night. And that worked well. We would be happy to return. |

Waipouli Beach Resort D407 Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 11 days in July, 2012 We enjoyed our stay very much. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen is fabulous. The kids loved the pool and being somewhat in the middle of the island's main road gave us the ability to visit multiple areas without a very long drive. The resort staff were friendly and helpful. I was disappointed that we had to pay $100 for a mid week cleaning fee because they didn't do anything that I wasn't already doing to keep the unit clean. They didn't resupply us with anymore soap, toilet paper.... so it was basically another way for them to get $100 for the unit. The unit needs to have the door handles repaired as some of them are loose. Although the noise of the elevator didn't really bother us, guests should be aware that it can be heard inside the unit from all rooms. The shopping across the street was very handy. Be sure to visit the new Ice Cream shop "Tropical Dreams" - it was EXCELLENT! |

The property is located across the street from many stores and shops. It is centrally located to both sides of the island. The only thing that was a minus for us it the fact tha the hotel restaurant did not serve breakfast. It would have been nice to wake up and have breakfast on the beach. The beach at the hotel was kind of disappointing. You can't swim in it because the waves are pretty harsh a and there are a ton of rocks but there's many other wonderful beaches on the island you can drive to. We will definitely stay here again - cant wait to go back!!!!! |

Waipouli Beach Resort Janet B. from na, NA recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in January, 2012 The rental unit at the Waipouli Beach Resort was very spacious and well appointed. The resort is very conveniently located to amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants. It is also only a few blocks away from the Kapaa multi-purpose path that runs along the ocean for a few miles. I rented a bike for the week and was able to lock it up at one of the bike racks at the resort. So it was very handy to jump on my bike to go for a ride any time I liked. The unit had a mountain view and was close to the main highway, so it could be loud out on the lanai. But with the windows closed, it was very quiet - so a person had no problem sleeping at night.My only (minor) complaint was that the unit did not have any basic spices like salt and pepper. But a quick trip to Safeway remedied that situation. |

D407 is facing the road and the noise was worse than NYNY! Plus the elevator noise was unbearable. The master shower leaked and was not usable. The vinyl coffee table was peeling everywhere. Management offered to fix the shower but that would include drywall work while we were there! Even the mold expert they sent to check for mold said he would not recommend drywall renovations with our children present. No discount was offered and when we asked to be moved to another room we were denied unless we wanted to pay the total costs for the new room. We would stay at Waipouli again because our 2 previous stays were nice but never on that side of the hotel and never near an elevator. Only other complaint is that the pool needs to be warmer. |

Stayed for 8 days in September, 2011 The price of the unit and the premises were great but the maintenance of the unit was a bit lacking. Handles were loose, fans seemed a bit dated but the A/C was fine as a replacement. The sub-zero fridge and Wolff range might be a selling point for a resident but as a guest, we were more scared of breaking the expensive appliances. The strangest part was that the two beds in one room looked like doubles but were essentially large singles, not quite large enough for a couple to sleep comfortably. The pool was spot on, the highlight of the premises. Property Manager Response: Response from Kauai Exclusive Management LLC The door handles have been fixed and fans balanced! Our damage waiver fee of $45 dollars covers up to $1500 in accidental damages. We appreciate the feedback as we did not make this great coverage clear to the guest. We are now clearly informing our guest of this coverage so they do not need to worry about cracking the $800 glass piece on our Wolf cook top. Love to work with Travel Guard!! |

Complex is nice and clean. The pool is awesome except the deepest part is only 3 1/2 feet. The food at the restaurant is OK--typical bar food. The beach is beautiful and not crowed at all. It's rocky so water shoes are helpful. We stayed 2 weeks, but did not get our room cleaned after one week as stated in the rental agreement. |
