Vacation Condo Rental Description:
This property is available year-round. We offer a 3 night minimum Sept to May. One week minimum for summer season Sat to Sat only- we do make some exceptions in Early June and late August. Holidays have one week minimum but at times we can work around this so please call! We do not accommodate arrivals on a holiday at this time. Brand new Carpet installed March 2012! This condo is an upstairs north corner unit facing the ocean with a North View up the coastline. It offers full oceanviews from the living area, dining, kitchen, and a side view from the master bedroom. Available year round for up to 6 guests.Location Location Location!! This oceanfront 2 bed 2 bath is located in one of the best spots in South Mission Beach.
Located at the end of San Luis Rey Place and Oceanfront Walk in desirable south Mission Beach. This property is an upstairs unit with amazing views. Watch daily volley ball games and fabulous sunsets from inside or on your private balcony.
The living area is open into the dining and kitchen area. There is a sofa sleeper, Cable Television and did we mention the view??? The gas fireplace in the living room adds volumes to the romance factor of this beautiful beach house. Sliding doors adjoin the living room to your own private deck, complete with gas grill and patio table.
The kitchen is just off the living area and offers a sitting bar area. Fully stocked with cookware, dishware, and flatware. There is a coffee maker, microwave, oven/stovetop, blender and all you will need for your family meals. Lots of light comes into this property through skylight windows. Feel the oceans breeze and watch the sunset while you are making dinner.. it doesn't get much better than this! The open kitchen is perfect and the dining area is situated between the living area and kitchen.Full size washer and dryer inside the single level 2 bedroom 2 bath condo.
The master bedroom offers a private oceanview deck as well as a king size bed and large bath tub and shower in the attached bathroom. There is also a small sofa that can be pulled out for little ones. Let the ocean sing you to sleep!
The 2nd bedroom offers a fullsize murphy bed. Perfect for family and to store out of the way in the day for a play area for the kids. Please check with us as this bed may not be suitable for smaller children. This home features a one car garage for a compact to midsize vehicle. Deck overlooking the volleyball courts and beach have great view and sunsets beautiful. However the condo had a lot to be desired. Furniture, fans, faucets seemed pretty old and could use an update. No beach chairs and the umbrella was broken. Didn't even supply trash bags or kleenex tissue, soap for the bathrooms. Listing said there were ceiling fans but only one floor fan for master bedroom and an cheesy desk fan for the 2nd bedroom. For the money I expected a little nicer. |

Quiet week end of February A guest from Garden Grove, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in February, 2012 We stay here Feb 2012 for mon-fri and it was a great vacation. We fit 5 adults and a 1 yr old pretty comfortably and the two bathrooms was nice. Everything was exactly as advertised and the living room was the greatest feature with lots of windows and great views of the volleyball nets where there were always good games to watch. Also you have a good view of the park and of course the ocean and beach. In feb this area is quiet with only one other unit in the building being used. If you don't care for a lot of people and want a great view than this is a good place to stay. Garage is a little tight but we were able to squeeze in our Kia spectra and rav 4 with no problem. Kitchen was fully equipped and was able to use everything. Two bathrooms both had oversized tubs and one also had walk in shower. Overall we all had a great stay here and sandy beach rentals answered their phone everytime I called and had my few concerns answered immediately. Only issues for the place is the rug is slightly stained, both front windows that opened had issues opening and the master bedroom's patio blinds fell off during our stay. The one window in the living room had a note on it that it didn't work and was being worked on. The other two issues werent really an issue for us so I just brought it to sandy beach rentals when we left. Also sandy beach had no issues giving us a late checkout since no one was staying there the next day which was nice so we didn't have to rush in the morning. Our first impression on walking in to this condo was a very stained rug and wondering what we had gotten in to. The outside common area was dirty and the tenants in the lower condos took over the area. There were not enough trash bins so trash was overflowing the bins the whole time we were there. Oceanfront Walk is a GREAT location, located in south mission beach near the parking lot at north jetty dr. Parking was non-existent on the saturday we were there,although I was able to park a ford escape & a mazda sedan in the garage. My sister visited me, shes fortunate to live in southern california & was interested in staying in the same condo after we leave. It's nice to have the extra space 1200 sq ft. I rather stay in a condo instead of hotels. In a hotel you are confined to 1 room with a couple of beds, 1 tv, 1 bathroom...you get the idea. I didnt have to use plastic forks & paper plates like I normally do in hotels, nice silverware & ALL the cooking utensils needed. Also, they have 3 tv's in this condo. I felt priviledged having the only bay window in the complex, other units didnt have the new window...made it nice. I am making plans for my next CA to be thru sandy beach rentals, preferably the same unit I was in. I recommend using the bicycle rental in unit, they gave me 4 bikes, 4 hours, 40 dollars. Of course I asked what discounts were available & he said "cash". I was looking @ renting another unit thru Sandy Beach Rentals, it was a little cheaper, I'm glad I got the condo for a little more money. The other unit was a house away from the college party condo, at least 100 beer drinking, party going college kids. Unit 2695 Oceanfront has the advantage of the volleyball courts out the front window, we were cheering them on behind closed windows. I am looking forward to our next stay : ) |

Home was clean and in good shape. Loved watching volleyball on the beach from the huge huge windows. The boardwalk was fantastic. No complaints from us but it would be nice to have a couple of bikes at rental but we rented from Radd Action who delivered and picked up for $70 total. What a great deal. Biking on the front boardwalk was awesome-loved it-right out the door! PS location could use a bit of updating like a flat screen tv and a PVR so we don't have to sit through commercials LOL! |

It's a great location, beautiful views. The gas grill didn't work, yet may be replaced soon! Otherwise, all else worked just fine, and was a nice, clean, comfortable, and spacious place to stay. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2010 The only complaint is the water heater did not work for more than 1 shower and we were the only ones staying there at the time i checked the condition of the water heater and it should be replaced it is very old and extremely rusted Property Manager Response: Response from Sandy Beach Rentals Inc Thank you for taking the time to fill out our guest survey. Thank you also for alerting us on the Water Heater. We have verified that it could be turned up to a higher setting which will provide more hot water for showers. The only problem we had was with ants, but Daphne had someone bring us some traps for them and after that, they were much better. It would be nice if the unit provided a couple of chairs for the beach and other small things so you don't have to go buy (garbage bags) but all in all, it's a great time on the beach. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 Paying $4,000.00 for a week at the beach, we expected no less than a wonderful experience as well as a spectacular condo. Unfortunately, the carpet was extremely dirty, the overall accommodations were very poor for the amount of money spent. There was not one clock in the entire condo that kept time. The TV's were horrible. Very sparse furniture. Patio furniture broken. Had to be fixed while we were there as well as carpet cleaned. We feel as the property management company it is your duty to speak to the owner of the condo and inform them of updates that should be done. It is your job! Vacation rental or not we spent a great deal of time in the condo because of a small grandchild, so it wasn't just a place to hang our hats. Overall it was a very depressing experience. |

The staff at Sandy beach rentals were very attentive and responsive. The condo itself was a little dated, but clean and comfy. I would return to Sandy Beach Rentals simply because of them. Professional, courteous, communicative, etc. I loved the location of the property, gorgeous views. Unfortunately, as to the interior, the carpets were in desperate need of a cleaning, the master shower head was broken, the dishwasher had problems, the shower drains were clogged, and water pressure in general was poor, the screen door to the patio was stuck and wouldn't close, and we didn't end up using the sofa bed in the living room because of the poor condition of the thin, uncomfortable mattress, we ended up purchasing an air mattress instead. Once again, Sandy Beach Rentals came through for us and sent someone over to help with some of the more immediate fixes. Overall I had a wonderful vacation but I would humbly recommend the owners invest a little to make this property the beautiful, luxurious vacation spot it could be. |

There were several things though that we had a problem with but were fixed right away. Only complaint was there was not enough items supplied; Pitcher for tea, specialty cooking items, sheets for one of the pull outs had to be brought over and just the basics like sugar, flour, salt, pepper, extra paper towels, garbage bags, etc... We are used to having those extra already supplied! Of Course, the view did make up for a lot! |

The fireplace was boarded up. It was raining and the roof leaked onto the rug so we had workmen there for part of the time. Also, they charge an exorbitant fee for early arrival and late departure (even if you just ask for a few hours). Again, a gorgeous condo but a rather cut-throat rental agency. |
