High end, professional yacht crew housed for 3 months during refit. Ethan L. from Ft. Lauderdale, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 30 days in September, 2009 The 1913 unit really needed an a/c unit as in the other condo, the majority of our stay the unit was uncomfortable at night when the windows had to be shut due to the highway noise. In both units and all rooms: the beds are of poor quality compared to the costs and overall condition of the property. I rate the beds less than a "1 out of 5". |

Stayed for 2 days in August, 2009 Nice place, but not great value. The location is terrific. The unit has phenomenal view. However, we were not prepared for no airconditioning or other climate control. The unit was pretty hot and stuffy when we arrived, and took a long time to cool off with the windows open. There was constant traffic noise from the freeway below, so the tradeoff was noise vs. cooling. It was definitely more homelike than a hotel. The bed in the main bedroom was tiny for two people. The workout facility was subpar. No water in the workout room. For what I was paying per night, I resented the added cleaning fee, and despite that, felt I had to clean up after myself or be charged even more. Although the manager and staff and helpful and friendly, the contract really put me off. |

Great Location but a Bare Bones Apartment A guest from Silver Spring, MD does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2009 Harbor Steps is a great location and couldn't be more convenient to Pike's Market, the SAM, activities on the waterfront, bus station, etc. This unit is attractive, however, it was a bare bones unit - no phone book, games/books, dish rack, barely enough plates, glasses, flatware etc. It lacked personality and any extras that make a rental feel a little more like home-it was not much different from a hotel room except with more space. Harbor Steps is an attractive property although the Terrace Room (which is a room you can reserve for larger groups) was in poor condition. The ac was broken (we were in Seattle during the record high heat/no ac in our unit) and the stove, oven, and microwave did not work properly-dishwasher was broken. None of these were repaired although we reported all of this on Monday of our stay. There were no plates, cups, towels, flatware - NOTHING in the kitchen as we were told there would be by Sea&Sky, so we had to haul all of ours down for meals. Very disappointing as this was the only gathering place large enough for our family reunion. Traveling on my own, I would stay in this building again but would not stay in this particular unit. Rollie at the front desk was especially friendly and helpful and was a very welcoming presence. |

Harbor Steps #1913- July, 2009 Janean M. from Boca Raton, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2009 We stayed at The Harbor Steps unit 1913 for 6 nights in July. The location is perfect; a few blocks from Pike Place Market, you can walk to almost anything in downtown. The unit itself is very tastefully decorated, modern, and clean. It is well furnished and supplied with everything you need. I really liked some of the special touches- umbrellas, a pair of binoculars, nice towels and linens, striped pool towels for the hot tub, puzzles, and books. There was a giant dishwashing liquid container and laundry soap jug so I didn't have to run out and purchase it. Plenty of paper products too. The views from the apartment were AMAZING, overlooking Puget Sound. We would sit on the balcony and watch the ferries come in. The only downside was the lack of ac in the unit. I am not sure why this building was built without providing AC in the units. There is AC in the hallways and common areas but not in the apartments. We did keep the blinds drawn during the day while we were out and we did open the windows at night to let the cool air in. There are also at least 2 fans that we used on a few of the hotter nights. We also just simply propped open the front door to let the cool hallway air in ( saw other residents dong the same) and that helped quite a bit. If you are the kind of person who needs a very cool room you may want to consider looking elsewhere. I should add that July is probably the only month of the entire Seattle year that this would be an issue, as the temperature is usually quite comfortable. One final suggestion would be to add a tv to the master bedroom. There is a very nice flatscreen TV in the family room area. |

Heart attack on vacation! Dale A. from Yellow Springs, OH. recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2009 I can't comment on the condo, but your customer service was excellent.I had to stay at Overlake Hospital instead of Harbor Steps I and received a heart stent to open a blocked artery. Not what we planned, but I'm still around and kicking! My wife contacted your office and was very pleased and relieved to have our stay canceled and our charge credited.Thank you! Next time we come to Seattle we'll be sure to contact you. |

Lovely place to stay Pamela L. from Muskogee, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2009 We really enjoyed our stay at Harbor Steps Apartments. The location was very convenient and the accomodations were comfortable. The only problem we had was that one of the bedrooms - especially the closet - had a very strong cigarette smoke smell, and there were cigarette butts on the balcony. We arrived on Sunday, so it was Monday before the smoke smell could be addressed. I was particularly disappointed because I thought these apartments were totally smoke free. I guess not everybody plays by the rules. We were in a corner apartment and the views were spectacular! Overall, it was a nice experience. |

Perfect Place-Perfect Location Lach Z. from Asheville, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2009 We loved this rental. There were 5 of us staying there and we split the cost of the unit 4 ways, which made it more affordable than a Hampton Inn. Beautiful views of Elliott Bay and Pioneer Square part of downtown. Pike Street Market just a block North. No complaints at all. |

Beautiful A guest from Christchurch, Canterbury recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2009 This apartment was clean, comfortable, and had fantastic views. We had a great stay. Only problems were adjusting to the traffic noise at night, it is a bit stuffy on a warm summer night, and no ironing board. Minor things, compared with the great views, location, and affordability. |

Stayed for 7 days in December, 2008 Thanks to Katrina and Rollie (concierage desk) for their ever-pleasnat assistance. Our only concerns were the lack of reading lamps--or good light in any of the rooms. We ae readers and that was irksome. And the blinds on the windows looking out on the water are a problem. They don't funtion well actually block the view--and, finally, one caution--dryer lint build-up was significant when we arrived--perhaps signage on the dryer and/or maid attention to this--fire hazard I think. |

Great time and accomodations in Seattle James K. from Willmington, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2008 Myself and a group of 5 friends were in Seattle for a Seahawks/ Patriots football game. Used to staying in regular hotels and having 6 people crammed into 2 rooms. The Harbor steps was the perfect alternative., Great view of the Sound, great location on 1st ave and fantastic/ clean accomodations. Would recommend this as a must for a Seattle visitor. Also, cheaper than getting 2 rooms at a downtown hotel. |

Great place, great location, great stay!- A guest from Longmont, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2008 A great apartment in the best location downtown. Loved the Pike St Market being next store and being within walking distance of all the downtown attractions. The apartment had a great contemporary feel and the views across the harbor were terrific, too! |

Stayed for 7 days in October, 2008 A taxi was reccommended as the best way to and from the airport. The price was $13.00 more than we were told it would be. The bus system was not reccommended but we used it to go back to the airport.I highly reccommend it. We had to walk one block and the charge was $2.50 per person. The dining area could use some lighting and another footstool would have been nice. Check in and out was easy. Accommodations very nice but a bit pricey. |

We didn't want to leave! A guest from Snellville, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2008 The Harbor Steps unit and entire complex exceeded our expectations. We were within a quick walk to Pike Place (we went every day!), the waterfront piers, the ferries, and the monorail to Pacific Science Center/Space Needle. After a fun day of walking around taking in the city, we grabbed something wonderful at the market and enjoyed the spectacular views from our rental unit. We could see Mount Rainier out the left side windows while the front windows captured gorgeous views of the sound and Olympic Mountains. Just sitting in the living room was one of our favorite sightseeing activities! Since we were there during Seattle's driest month, we had very little rain and some crystal clear days. We rented a car one day to ride out to Mount Rainier and the views were breathtaking. |

Harbor Steps 1506 Erika F. from Novato, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2008 Outstanding location - we will return and recommend. Three comments: 1. Kitchen needs a full set of plates, bowls, glasses and cups. There were not even settings for two people - which is not acceptable for the caliber of this unit. 2. Master should have a king bed. 3. When we arrived, one twin bed was still unmade. Otherwise, we loved the unit, location and will return. Thanks. |

no title A guest from Marlborough, CT recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in May, 2008 The carpet was dirty and the vacuum so jammed with hair I had to clean that out first before trying to clean the carpet...all things I shouldn't have had to even think about. When we arrived the phone didn't work and we never did have cable tv. We were promised 3 keys and got 2. It would be a good addition to have lighting one could read by. On the other side, the location is spectacular, and the place is very roomy and quiet. |

Harbor Steps, 16th floor A guest from Missoula, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2007 Really enjoyed the location and condition of this property - the view from the 2 bedroom condo (water and mountain view) was beautiful. I would say that this was similar to 4 and 5 star hotels where we've stayed. Only one not-so-perfect note: it was a September stay and was warm in the afternoons - there was an air conditioning unit in the room that took some time to get the whole place cooled off. (If you stay in the summer, you may need to keep the unit on while you're out, or keep the drapes closed and get back early enough to switch the unit on.) |

Stunning View at Harbor Steps A guest from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2007 This was a great location with a fabulous view. The building staff did not seem to know much about Sea to Sky and we had to prove that parking was supposed to be free. The only other issue was that we bid for this through NIE and didn't receive the flowers or cookbook as promised. The wonderful views and waterfront activities kept us entertained to the point where it was sometimes hard to leave the room. Would love to return. |

Wide Awake in Seattle Joe B. from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2007 Our trepidation over the top-drawer price melted to astonishment and "high-fives" all around when we hit the door. Didn't even tour the place for awhile to enjoy the setting and the comfort. Easy walk-to-anywhere let us take in a game at Safeco Field, the whole waterfront, great restaurants and live music. With Pike Place Market a few steps away, we mostly couldn't wait to bag up some fresh seafood, veggies and fruit - get back to Harbor Steps to enjoy the best setting in Seattle. Saving up for a return visit. Only mistake one could make would be to rent a car. Don't. |

home opener Janet R. from Calgary, AB does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2007 Maybe another unit would be better. I took my two boys and two of their friends to the seattle mariners opener. So we needed every bed in the condo. The hide a bed was awful and there was no bedding for it. They knew how many people we were. We had to call numerous times to get bedding and I don't think we got it until the last night. The furniture was old and some of it was broken. The location was awesome. I liked that we had parking. It wouldn't be bad for 4 people but no more than that. |
