Perfect Seattle Escape Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 We stayed in this unit while some construction work was done on our home. The wonderful view and perfect downtown location turned our ordeal into a pleasant escape. The only item that was missing in the kitchen was a pot big enough for cooking pasta. We had been looking forward to cooking fresh pasta from Delaurenti's but Pike Place Market offered enough other menu options to make up for it. And the view was spectacular-we loved watching the ships & ferries come and go, and views of the sunset were wonderful. Layout of the condo was nice as the two bedrooms were on opposite sides-furnished very nicely. No air conditioning except one unit in the living area but we didn't need it during our visit. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 We came for two things; to celebrate my spouse's 50th b-day and to attend the Antique's Roadshow general appraisals day. The apartment was most excellent. I had to move some of the knicknacks out of the way of our children and the first 2 nights were super hot and hard to sleep b/c it was in the low 90's F and no AC. But overall the place was just so beautiful, super high up so the views were spectacular, unbelievable, memorable. The unit was very clean, comfortable, and I was very happy to be able to do laundry for 2 boys under age 10 nightly. It was in a great location, close to many attractions. We were very pleased with the accomodations and to be able to use the kitchen to make 'noodles' and 'frozen pizzas' for the boys. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2012 If you are strictly looking for a convenient location with a spectacular view than this is the place. You are just a block away from Pikes Market, the Pier and the Seattle Art Museum. The view is fabulous but it faces west and it is very hot from 4-7 in July. The AC is a very loud room unit, not central AC and if you open the windows, you will be drowned out by the noise of the nearby freeway. Not a relaxing place to stay in Seattle. The Four Seasons is next door, and Pike's market is only a few blocks. The condo was very clean, and the view was spectacular. My only comment is that the condo did get warm on days when the sun was out. The AC unit in the living room helped but it was not strong enough to cool the bedrooms. Being from Texas, we like good AC!! Besides that, it was perfect, and I would recommend it to friends. |

Harbor Steps condo July 15 for 5 nights Kris C. from Glennwood Springs, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2011 We had a nice stay. The condo was generally fine. Loved the view. On the down side the AC was inadequate and when we opened the windows the Alaskan Way viaduct was very loud. The bedding was uncomfortable and we sweated at night, probably because of the synthetics. The master was particularly bad and the couple had to move to the living room to sleep. The towels were adequate but low quality. Nice to have a washer dryer in the unit. Overall we would stay there again but would hope for some improvements. Next time we will try something different, mostly because of the viaduct noise and bad AC. Parking in the garage was a huge benefit. The location was excellent. |

From the second we contacted Sea to Sky (5 months prior to our trip) we were very happy with everything. Brian took very good care of us...I think he was just as excited about us all getting together as we were. The apartment was in the best location for us...near Pike Place Market, Pioneer Square and the transit system. We all flew in from different parts of the U.S., so the Link Light Rail getting from SEATAC to the apartment was painless. The view of the city from the apartment was spectacular and although there were countless places to eat within walking distance, we opted to eat a meal or two in the apartment to enjoy the view. The apartment was clean and comfortable (it was very nice having the washer/dryer along with a fully furnished kitchen). We all had an amazing time and will definitely recommend this to friends and family! Thank you so much! |

Chinese food from Urban Chinese was delivered right to #1803's door our first night. The only problem - and it was a big one - was that Seattle was experiencing record heat; the small noisy AC unit could not keep up with the searing afternoon sun and 93 degrees. With the thing chugging all day and the blinds drawn obscuring the view - blocking the best thing about the condo - it still hit 87 in the living room by 5 pm. Fans in the bedroom helped only a little. In fairness, everyone in Seattle was miserable. Would like the experience during tamer weather. |

Highly mixed review, great apartment but some logistical problems A guest from Woodinville, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2010 Pros: (1) Outstanding 180 degree water views from the living room. (2) 1.5 blocks from Pike Place Market. (3) Nice interior to the apartment and complex.(4) Binoculars were in the unit to enjoy the view. Cons: (1) We made a reservation for Harbor Steps 1620. Just days before our stay date the management company informed us that they were shifting us to 1803, which in our opinion was as step down. We came to find out that someone else had requested 1620 for a longer duration so they canceled our reservation at 1620 and moved us to 1803 (without first checking with us). If 1803 had already been booked then I'm concerned that our reservation would have been canceled with no place to stay which would be highly unacceptable. We eventually got them to agree to a 25% discount on our stay, but I'd much rather pay the full price and not have to worry about my reservation being canceled at the last minute. If they did cancel your reservation the contract states that they can just return your money. You are left to find a place to stay at the last minute. In our case this was a long planned special anniversary gift and it would have been impossible to find a water view apartment at that late date. (2) We were told that there was a DVD player in the facility and 3 movies were provided from a list per our request which was a nice touch. Unfortunately there was no DVD player in the apartment. We called the contact number the first night and left a message but we were not contacted during our stay and no DVD player was provided. (3) Opening a window or going out onto the porch exposes you to noise from the nearby freeway. 1803 is further away than unit 1620 but its still fairly noisy. |

I wish we'd been told about this during my phone discussion and reservation. My second complaint is the bedding---miserable quality. The muslin feel and the poor fit on the mattress were distracting to a good night's sleep. Also,a slat was missing in the living room blinds. We appreciated the quality and abundance of bathroom towels,the kitchen furnishings were good and pleasing,and the location was convenient but the bedroom linen and road noise once the windows were open (and we had to do that as well as run the AC because 4 of our days were above 75degrees)were major detractors to our overall enjoyment of this rental. We rent in each city we visit and this rental was our first disappointment and the cost was higher. Too bad---Seattle is a lovely city. |

Great location! Walk to everything! A guest from Melrose, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2008 Unit was clean and efficient. We could have used stronger or more lighting. Unit would be cozier with a few paintings on the walls. The people who staff the concierge desk were adequate but not overly friendly. I know they're not employed by Sea to Sky so you might not be able to influence their greeting style but they did not live up to the friendliness and helpfulness standard we found throughout Seattle. They helped but not with a great deal of joy. Sea to Sky staff were very friendly and helpful, in fact, could not have been nicer. Thanks to them for their help. |

Stayed for 3 days in May, 2008 Harbor Steps is ideally located near Pike's Market, Art Museum, Aquarium, ferry stop, and all public transportation. The corner unit 1803 offers spectacular views of both the sound and downtown Seattle. Though small, the unit is well designed and outfitted with most everything a visit would need while enjoying all that Seattle area has to offer. |

Also the there should be a pad between the twin beds when they're made up as a king so the split in the middle is covered. |

The only reservation I would have is the traffic noise from the freeway a block away. Virtually impossible to leave the patio or balcony doors open. I suppose everything has its price. |

The exit that was listed on the directions was under construction, and we were forced to go down 2 exits before getting off i-5. The directions to the parking garage were also not very good. However the location was wonderful, we spent hours every day at Pike place market. Watching the ferry's come in night and day was wonderful too!! |
