Great water views.
A guest from Lakewood, Colorado recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2016 The rental is so close to the warerfront and and walking distance to Pikes Market, restaurants, the ferry. Easy to get an Uber if need to go further. The rental was clean and the view is fabulous. The one drawback is the extreme noise when you open a window or the patio door.
A guest from edmonton, AB does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2016 The location was great but other than that, it was a total let down. The bed was not made up to a king as requested and at first we were told that it could not be changed because housekeeping had already left for the day. Clearly this was unacceptable and after a few telephone conversations someone was found to come and make up the bed properly. When we tried to use the hot tub it was closed for maintenance. The lobby area was being renovated during our entire stay and was closed entirely on one day. We were woken up one morning by workers tapping on the outside of the building - this went on for hours. There were dead flies on the window sill, and when we opened the blinds in the living room and master bedroom some of the slats fell off. One day we moved the tv over to the side to open up the view and there was a huge dirt/dust pile behind the tv stand. Soaps and hand lotion was provided in the master bath but nothing but earplugs in the second bathroom. We would not stay here again nor would we recommend it. At this price point, we expected better.
Debra W. from Tucson, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2016 The checkin was very cumbersome and unfriendly. The coffee table was on the floor when we walked in. It was over 90 degrees in Seattle and the second bedroom had NO air conditioning. The condo is located in a very noisy area so when we opened the windows it was too loud to sleep. Although I assume the management knew this since they left ear plugs. It was so incredibly hot. Four people stayed for 4 nights and we were left two little shampoo bottles and one very old pack of coffee. Enough to make one pot. The property could use some maintenance. the blind slats were missing in one of the bedrooms so the bright lights would wake me all night. The condo residents were so very unhelpful and unfriendly.
A guest from San Antonio, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2016 Took a few minutes to get oriented, find parking area and elevator system. But after that everything good except lack of central ac. Seattle was warm and portable ac units ran constantly 24 hrs a day to keep unit cool. They're noisy. Don't understand lack of ac in expensive apartments. Why not add a few thousand onto the price and put in central ac??Rented several apartments in Portland, McMinnville and Seattle on this family trip and this was the nicest and best equipped overall. Just little things like having hand sanitizing soap and laundry detergent was nice.Anyhow, would stay here again. Sea to sky was very nice and answered all questions without issue.
Rhonda B. from Padstow, NSW recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2016 The whole process was easy from start to finish. Everything was taken care of and instructions were easy to follow. It is quite a noisy apartment and you are not really able to leave windows and doors open.A suggestion would be to also advise arrival instructions in the agreement for coming from the airport via Light Rail as it is quite an easy process and much cheaper than cabs, we found it to be the best option.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi Rhonda - I am so thrilled to hear that our reservations process was a breeze for you! Thanks for the tip - Light Rail is definitely a great option and I will suggest adding it to our arrival information. Take care, and we can't wait to have you stay with us again! - Rachel, Sea to Sky Rentals
Dennise F. from Alpharetta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2016 Our stay at Harbor Steps was effortless and the Apartment was beautiful and comfortable. The location was wonderful and this was a great home base for my family and I as we got reacquainted with my hometown. I would and have recommended this Apartment to anyone who is traveling to or through Seattle. 2 blocks easy walk to the waterfront and Ivars and 3 blocks walk to Pike Place Mkt. The Apartment had breath taking view of the Eye and Ferry's on Elliott Bay and was nicely appointed. We had an amazing time and a comfortable stay.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi Dennise - So great to hear Harbor Steps was the perfect place for you to revisit your hometown! It's really an unbeatable location for locals and tourists alike. We can't wait to say hi again the next time you come back to the Emerald City. All the best, Sea to Sky
Cozette M. from Flower Mound, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2016 The apartment was very nicely decorated, clean and had everything we needed. Easy check in and out. I would stay here again! There were 4 adults and at times the unit felt a little small. It took us awhile to get use to the road noise, but was worth it being in the heart of the city.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Cozette, thank you for choosing Sea to Sky and taking the time to share your experience at the Seascape Suite! We're delighted you found the arrival and departure process easy and that you enjoyed the stay. Best, Sea to Sky Rentals
A guest from Orient, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2016 We were amazed with the views from our windows. The location was great for walking to a lot of the points of interest. The condo and the whole building was clean and well kept. Would highly recommend staying there.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Thank you so much for the recommendation, Carol! We're so happy you enjoyed the location as well as the suite itself. Hoping to have you back to stay for your next trip to Seattle! Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Rita S. from Corona, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2016 Stayed here as a group of 5 ladies celebrating a birthday and a reunion of sorts. Condo was in an excellent location, and you can't complain about the was spectacular. Only negative was the parking instructions.....there has to be a way to make that less confusing! We spent at least 45 minutes trying to find the correct place to park.....The other negative is the coffee table in front of the sleeper heavy that we couldn't move it, so we had one just sleep on the sofa instead of trying to open the other than those two negatives..... I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to be close to Pikes Market and all the downtown area has to offer.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Rita, thank you so much for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals and the Seascape Suite! It was a pleasure having you as our guest and we appreciate the kind words & helpful feedback. The recommendation means a lot! We would love to have you back for your next trip to Seattle. Best, Sea to Sky
Fan L. from Hangzhou, NA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2016 The apartment is perfectly located and with all the things convenient. But one thing needs to be improved, the window shades are not so good as we couldn't sleep in complete dark. Also, it's little bit noisy for people who has sleep problems.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Fan! Thank you for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals and providing us with your feedback. We are very glad you enjoyed the stay!
A guest from Missoula, MT does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2016 The location is excellent, and Sea to Sky always provides good service, but the NOISE in this location is awful, in part because of a problem with the way the front window is outfitted, presumably for an air conditioner, but it leaves a huge amount of noise coming in from the viaduct right below.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Dear Stacy, thank you for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals and taking the time to review your stay! The Harbor Steps Seascape Suite is ideally positioned in Downtown Seattle for both business and leisure travel, but as a result it is a bit in the thick of things traffic-wise. However, we find it to be a worthwhile exchange for the fabulous proximity to all Downtown Seattle has to offer! We would love to have you back for your next trip to the Emerald City and we would be happy to recommend a quieter, more out-of-the-way unit if you prefer. Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Xiaoyang Z. from Los Angeles, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2015 The location of this house is absolutely wonderful, you can just walk to the Pike market and drive less than 20 minutes to many famous places like Space Needle. My friends and I had a great time here.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Dear Xiaoyang, thank you for being our guest and taking the time to leave a review of your stay! We are so glad you enjoyed the location of the Seascape Suite. Hoping to have you back for your next trip to Seattle! Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
A guest from Mission Viejo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2015 Our second stay in this lovely condo. Breathtaking view, couldn't get enough of just looking out at the Puget Sound and the ferries going back and forth to Bainbridge and Bremerton. Directions for arrival and checkout were concise and understandable. Condo is in a great location, close to everything. Very clean, well equipped, and with a quick walk to Pike's Market for fresh groceries, meals in the lovely kitchen were a snap to prepare. Underground secure parking. We're very active and walk most everywhere, but also drove to further away areas or took public trans. We walked to Pike's Market daily, ferried to Bainbridge, Bremerton to drive to Port Ludlow. Ferried Mukilteo to Whidbey to see Ft. Casey. Just 4 block walk to fun Seattle Underground tour in Pioneer Square. Daily coffee next door at Fonte (do that!!), an excellent little place that also does a happy hour 3-6PM (they close at 6). Dinner at our favorite, The Brooklyn. Went to the Space Needle. Drove to Issaquah to see the salmon run, walked to Lake Union to see the wooden boats, lunch on the water, back via trolley. Lovely condo to return to each day. Can't wait to return!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi Donald and Eileen - We are so excited to have had you two back again to stay with us and it sounds like your time in the Harbor Steps Seascape Suite was the perfect getaway! Thanks for the suggestions - we'll pass them on to future guests. Looking forward to your future visits! Warmly, Sea to Sky Rentals
A guest from Honolulu, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2015 This was the perfect place to stay and will now be our go-to-spot in Seattle. Just one block from the start of Pikes Market place. It was convenient and fun for my friends and I to walk over, pick up the freshest seafood, cook in their well equipped kitchen and enjoy the gorgeous sunsets. It didn't rain at all when we stayed, but if it had it wouldn't have mattered. It was so restful to sit and watch the ferries go by or the giant ferris wheel which was almost right in front of our window. The property was as pictured and described and well-maintained and very clean. Check in and out was easy and took the matter of seconds. A couple of minor issues: parking was a bit of a labyrinth, one of the vertical blind slats fell off easily, and the noise level from freeway when sliding door was open. I really only mention these because this is a review. What I really feel is that this place was worth every penny and the view and location added immensely to our vacation experience. I would highly recommend.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi Connie - Thank you so much for taking the time to write us such a kind review! It's wonderful to hear you and your group enjoyed staying in Harbor Steps with us! We would love to have you stay with us anytime you're in the rainy city again. Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
A guest from Carlisle, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2015 We rented this unit (1620) while in town for a wedding. The location is perfect, making it super convenient to get to a lot of fun spots, including Pikes Place, the Waterfront and Pioneer Square. The one major problem, like others mentioned, is the portable/standalone A/C unit. It must be well past its prime and an upgrade is definitely needed for the summer months. I remember reading reviews about it and some mentioned that you couldn't open the doors and windows because of the noise. I remember reading that and discrediting it thinking the write was from a rural area. However, after experiencing it first hand, I was amazed with how loud it was with the doors and windows open. We currently live in Boston so I thought I was used to loud noise, but this was intense. If the company replaces the A/C unit, this would be the perfect rental unit for any trip to Seattle. Without the A/C, just be sure to only come during the cooler months where it isn't needed. On a side note, communication with check in / check-out was clear and convenient and the actual apt has everything you would need if you lived there for a month, sans food.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Nick and thank you for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals! We really appreciate your detailed and helpful feedback. Very true, the city is a loud place and with great proximity to downtown attractions you often get some noise as well. I will pass on your feedback about the air conditioning unit immediately to our property care team; so sorry to hear it was not adequate for your needs! We hope to have you back for your next trip to Seattle and we thank you again for your comments. Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Benson H. from Madison, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 The apartment is very well kept, and was quite ready for the visit. Everyone a S-to-Sky was very helpful, and gave great guidance. It was wonderful to be in the city with a kitchen, which allowed us to have our breakfasts with beautiful views. In many ways it was perfect. One challenge was sorting out the parking, which was a tad confusing given the fact that were are four buildings in the complex. The apartment can be a bit noisy, so we used the earplugs that the management helpfully provided.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Dear Benson - We are so excited to hear you enjoyed staying with us in Harbor Step this summer! It sounds like you used it as a great jumping off point to explore the city, as well as enjoyed the unit's amenities. We look forward to seeing you again the next time you're in Seattle. Warmly, Sea to Sky Rentals
David C. from Auckland, XX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2015 Very nice property for two couples; central to most things and well maintained. Communication and support from Sea to Sky excellent. Only negative is that it is quite noisy with the construction of the new tunnel that is happening quite close to the apartment.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi David - We absolutely loved having you as a guest and we are excited to hear your group enjoyed your stay in Harbor Steps! It would be a pleasure to have you again the next time you visit Seattle. Warm regards, Sea to Sky Rentals
Beautiful View just be prepared for noise and sunlight heat
Nicole A. from Irving, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 10 days in August, 2015 In general we enjoyed our vacation. The view is wonderful and the location cannot be beat. The property layout was as described. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. Renters need to be aware that the apartment will get very warm/hot in the late day as the sun comes through the large windows. The apartment is advertised as having AC, but in reality, it is one large standalone machine that does not really cool more than half a room and is extremely loud. To get a breeze you must open the windows and patio door and this makes the apartment too loud for conversation. I would only stay in the cooler months.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Nicole - We're so excited to hear you found the kitchen and location enjoyable during your stay! We Seattleites are not used to this unseasonable heat wave we've had this summer, and if trends continue we will certainly look into alternative cooling options. Thanks for taking the time to review us; we look forward to having you stay with us again in the future! Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
A guest from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2015 The two-bedroom layout was great and also the location was convenient. Nicely decorated too. The freeway outside the unit is NOISY, but the portable air conditioner drowned out all other sound, including the highway, the television, and any discussion. Also, it doesn't cool very well. There are much better cooling units available. (I live in Texas. Believe me, there are better units.) We were there to go do as much as possible, so we focused on the great location--and it is! We did call the company about missing slats in the blinds and they made a quick repair--thank you. This location can't be beat, just wear your earplugs (company provided some) while inside and get out and visit this wonderful city. I love Seattle!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi Lavonda - We are so excited to hear you enjoyed your stay at Harbor Steps! We loved having you stay with us and it was a pleasure to come fix the blinds for you - thanks for letting us know. We look forward to having you stay with us again the next time you're in Seattle. Warmly, Sea to Sky Rentals
Luke N. from Zionsville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2015 Great apartment in a great location
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Luke, We're so glad to hear you had a good stay in Harbor Step and that you enjoyed its central location! We hope you'll stay with us the next time you're in Seattle. Very best, Sea to Sky
Jennifer W. from Wenatchee, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2015 Communication with Sea to Sky Rentals is thorough and prompt. We didn't have a need to ask questions as everything was answered in the packet. The apartment looked like its photos. The view from the apartment was amazing - definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, it did appear cleaning happened very quickly and not very thoroughly. Dirty towels were laying on top of the washing machine and some trash was in the corner of one of the guest rooms. The location was great and we loved being so close to Pikes Place and the waterfront. The building itself was not well kept and the elevator broke our first day (they did have it running again the next morning). Since we have rented through Sea to Sky previously and had success I would try again but in a different building.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi there Jennifer! Thanks for reviewing your stay with us. I'm so glad you enjoyed the apartment and the view, and I will pass on your feedback to our property care team immediately. We hope to have you back to stay again in one of our other beautiful rental units! Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
A guest from Mission Viejo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2015 You can't best this location and the views are amazing. If you're a light sleeper then the traffic noise may bother you, but it's expected in an urban environment, and I quickly got used to it. Beds are very comfortable and the decor is beautiful.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Cindy, so glad you enjoyed the stay! Thanks for taking the time to review and I hope you will come back and stay with us again soon. Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Rhonda P. from Edmonds, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2014 We arrived at 3:45 (check in was @ 4:00). I was told the key was not at the front desk. The desk called Sea to Sky and I was told the key was on it's way. The key finally arrived at 4:30 causing much stress due to we could not get into the parking garage or the unit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Rhonda and thank you for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals! So sorry about the half hour delay at check in. I hope the rest of your experience was seamless and enjoyable! The Harbor Steps 1620 is a beautiful unit with breathtaking views. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us, and if you'd like to give us another try when you stay in Seattle next, we'd be happy to offer 10% off! Very best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Dean R. from Fortwayne, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in September, 2014 The condo has a great view in a wonderful location. The weather was unusually warm and the sun was hot. The open windows made the traffic noise seem like we were living on the freeway. We still had a great time.
Brian C. from Kelowna, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2014 very nice spot with tons of view. A little noisy wthh the highway right below so bring someearplugs for sleeping. Will return for sure.
A guest from Calgary, Alberta recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2014 Ideal location and close to all of the major attractions Seattle has to offer. Rooms were clean and had plenty of storage. Would definitely stay again and refer to others.
A guest from Leixlip, Co Kildare recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2014 Very good apartment , very clean, wonderful view, the only bad part was the cheap bed linen for the price of the rental it should be better .
James L. from Concord, North Carolina recommends this property. Stayed for 12 days in July, 2014 Loved our apartment at Harbor Steps in Seattle. It was our second time staying at this location, but different building/apartment. The views of harbor are outstanding. Location is great - just a 5 minute walk to the market. Sea-to-sky's reservation process (& new app) was simple and efficient. The only negatives were ambivalent front desk staff and tricky on-site parking.
Steven P. from tyler, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 It is a corner space with a great view; however this is ruined by the intense heat generated by the direct sun on large windows and the blinds are not only unsightly, but don't work properly. The owners have attempted to mitigate this with an awkward looking cooling unit that does little to alleviate the heat. I know it's the city, but we had to sleep with the windows open due to heat which made it impossible to sleep through the loud revelries of the closeby wharf area. Furniture and decor fits a much lower end property.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Steven and thank you for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals! While our summers here in Seattle are typically very mild, occasionally temperatures do skyrocket and I'm so sorry this caused you discomfort. We are not able to install central air conditioning in this building, so we do have to rely on window units. Fortunately, the times when air conditioning is required in Seattle are few and far between, so our guests are not usually affected as you were. But again, I truly apologize that you were uncomfortably hot and that you experienced distracting area noise from keeping the windows open. Please feel free to reach out to us via phone or email with any additional feedback, as we appreciate any opportunity to improve our rentals and our customer service! Best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Lori F. from Austin, TX does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2014 This unit had a great view and location! The downfall is the traffic noise that is SO loud. I know it's very rare that it's hot, but on our stay it was, and what was called air conditioning was a unit on the floor that was loud and did not work well.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hello Lori and thank you for choosing Sea to Sky Rentals! I'm so glad you enjoyed the view and the location of Harbor Steps 1620. So sorry you found the traffic to be a distraction - unfortunately, part of that great location is being in the thick of it all, and that means traffic noise. It is a bit of a trade off, I agree. Please feel free to reach out to us via phone or email with more detailed input on the other categories you ranked, as we truly appreciate any opportunity to improve our rentals and our service. And just so you know - we offer a 5% discount for all return guests, should you choose to stay with us again! Best, Sea to Sky Rentals
Amanda B. from Whistler, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2014 We stayed at Harbor Steps. 16th floor. Amazing views. Best location. Amazing rate. Super satisfied. The elevator was broken but it was no problem at all. LOVED LOVED LOVED IT
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in June, 2014 We enjoyed our stay here, the location is excellent & the views were amazing. If we ever need a 2 bedroom apt again while visiting, I hope we can stay here. My only suggestions would be to provide cushions for the balcony chairs & door stops to keep bedroom doors from closing while the windows are open on nice days. El Malecon mexican restaurant downstairs/around the corner in the alley has good happy hour prices and food.
Jayne H. from Bizmark, ND recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in May, 2014 Location can't be beat, very nice accommodations. Loved watching the ships come into the harbor. Traffic noise was the only negative, if you are a light sleeper and want the windows open this is not the place for you. Once tunnel is complete the place will be exceptional. We used the sofa sleeper since there were 4 of us, and it is a bit firm.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC I agree, the completion of that tunnel is going to do amazing things for Seattle, and the Harbor Steps in particular! I am glad you took advantage of that view, to wake up to such a beautiful site every day is priceless. We'd love to have you and your guests stay with us again anytime!
Reviewed by: A guest recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2014 Overall, a terrific experience. Some of the furniture seemed a little wobbly... so whoever is in charge might want to check the stability of the furniture (the chairs for the dining table in particular). Otherwise, it was perfect. Thank you!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Hi Jennifer! I hope you got some great photos of that view! It really is terrific! Thank you for letting me know about the wobbly furniture, I let our property care manager know of the issue, he'll address it as soon as he can. Thanks for the tip! We would love to have you stay in one of our rentals again any time!
A guest from Alamo, Cal recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2014 We booked apartment 1520, and were completely disappointed when we walked in and saw significant stains on the carpet (looked like a frat party had taken place the night before). Bedding was not clean either. Called Jason, and he showed up with options (discount, or apt right above us). We moved upstairs, and had a great experience from that point on. Was so grateful for Jason, but didn't really think the carpet situation was a surprise/or big deal to him. All and all, good price, great location, and we enjoyed everything but the bad weather! Hey, it's Seattle!!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC I agree! The carpet is definitely a big deal, it is something we have wanted to take care of and I am happy to report we are in the final process of getting it replaced! You'll have to come see it next time you're in Seattle. It will make Harbor Steps #1520 that much more enjoyable!
A guest from Somerville, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2014 We love this location. It is easy access to most neighborhoods in the city; the market, Beltown, Pioneer Square, Jump on 99 to Greenlake, Wallingford and Ballard. The rooms are clean and well decorated with amazing views of Elliot Bay and the daily schedule of the Seattle Ferry and shipping port. I personally love waking to the Fog Horn, being a native Seattle person, now living on the east coast for the past 15 years. The rooms is also a perfect set up for a family! This is our second stay here and I can't imagine another choice for future stays. Thanks! S2S!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC We are so glad you were able to reconnect with your Seattle roots, and the Harbor Steps #1620 is a great place to do so! Thank you for choosing Sea to Sky rentals for your stay in Seattle.
Donald R. from Mission Viejo, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2014 Absolutely spectacular view and apartment arrangement. Reservation process on-line was a breeze. All check-in instructions were provided by email in advance, but the actual check-in wasn't quite as seamless as we would have hoped. It would be very helpful to have a map of the check-in building showing it as well as the apartment building location + a map with directions from check-in to parking structure, residential elevator location + location of apartment in advance (we wandered around quite a bit trying to find our way, then called reception, who quickly gave us help, which was great). Very responsive staff! Apt. is furnished with everything you can think of (we cooked every day!), it's in a great location, close to the ferries, and is walking distance to super restaurants and shopping (Pike's Market!!!) close by. We'll definitely be back!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Thank you for choosing Sea to Sky rentals for your stay in Seattle. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your time in the Harbor Steps #1620. Ryan L. from Saskatoon, SK recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2013 We travel a lot and have been to Seattle a dozen times in the past four years. The suite we stayed in on our last trip (Nov 29-Dec 6, 2013) was by far the best accommodations we have had in Seattle. The location was great, two blocks from Pike Place Market and all the shopping we could find. A short monorail trip to Seattle Center (great for the kids). A full kitchen (with lots of pots and pans), two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. We have a two year old, so it was perfect for the family.

Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC I am so glad renting with us was a good experience; in a nutshell, that is all we hope for! Next time you are in town don't forget about us and we will offer you a killer deal!
A guest from Butte, MT recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2013 The set-up of the condo, location, view, Sea to Sky staff were all excellent. We have stayed at several Sea to Sky properties, including other Harbor Steps condos and this has been our favorite so far.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC 1620 is my favorite too! The view is what does it for me, you can really see how grand the Sound is! Thank you for the great review, I hope you come back to stay with us again.
Xiao D. from Shenzhen, XX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 Great location, kitchen stuffs are more then expected, very convenient .easy chech in and out.rental is little more for our group (a couple with a 2 year boy),but will be good for a bigger group.will recommend to friends and return with more friends next time.

Carol H. from Manhattan Beach, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 We enjoyed the location of this apartment very much. It enabled us to go everywhere we wanted to go without once having to hop into a cab. It is about 3 blocks from Pike Place Market and about 6 blocks from the monorail that takes you to Seattle Center. The apartment was very clean and spacious and having 2 bathrooms was a bonus. Now the downside - our visit was in August and this complex does not have central air. An air conditioning unit is provided but we found it to be ineffective, mainly because it blows air up toward the ceiling rather than out into the room. The bedrooms have no A/C of any kind. We were advised to keep the blinds closed during the day to keep the sun out and we did that. The problem was that the vertical blinds were missing a number of slats so didn't totally keep the sun out. If something could be done about the A/C, this apartment would be great any time of year. As it is, I would avoid the summer months.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Thank you for the informative review. Your feedback is really helpful to us and I will most definitely take a look at the issues you mentioned. I am so glad you enjoyed Harbor Steps and took full advantage of the building's fantastic location. We would love to have you back! Next time you are planning your trip, take a look at our Facebook page for upcoming deals and promotions.
A guest from germantown, tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2013 We throughly enjoyed our second stay at Harbor Steps. Everything that Sea to Sky was in charge of was perfect. You cannot beat the location. The apartment is well stocked, clean and the linens a very good quality. Our only problem was the apartment was very hot in the afternoon and night. The portable ac was just not enough. The weather was warm for Seattle and the afternoon sun really heated up the apartment. We look forward to another visit.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Thank you for the great review! I apologize the portable a/c units do not always do the trick on the extra hot days. But I am glad you enjoyed your stay and the floor to ceiling window views were worth the afternoon heat. We would love if you stayed with us next time you are in town and will offer you a 5% returning customer discount.
A guest from Liberty Lake, WA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2013 Wonderful location and condo was well appointed. Unfortunately, we could not cool the place down enough to be comfortable. A new air conditioner is needed! One of the reasons we chose this place was because there was air conditioning. Our plan was to shop at Pike Market and cook a few dinners in the condo. The heat made this plan impossible.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC I am so sorry to hear the heat made such a big impact on your stay. The a/c unit is new as of this year, the problem is the large windows facing the Puget Sound/sun in a high rise building that does not have central air. Many of the buildings in the NW do not have central air-conditioning because 11 months a year it is not needed. We do our best to keep the temperature in the unit down by providing a/c units and fans for each room during the summer months. I am sorry it wasn't enough for the duration of your stay. Next time you are coming to town take a look at our Facebook page for upcoming deals and promotions.
A guest from Cary, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2013 When we arrived the condo was extremely hot. I called management and they informed me that there is no central air in the unit. This was something I wish we would have known ahead of time. I was able to get an extra fan for one of the bedrooms, and that helped a little. We were told to make sure to keep all the blinds closed to cut down on the heat. So much for enjoying the beautiful view! The two chairs in the living room were in very bad shape. The blinds in the master bed and living room needed repair. Several of them would not close. Maintenance did show up the next morning. You would think this would have been done ahead of check in. The shower heads are so low you have to duck underneath them. The unit was clean and the location was excellent.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Thank you for writing us a review. I am sorry the heat impended on your stay so much. With check in time being at 4 the heat of the day is already at its peak. The building does not have central air and we try our best to make that be known to our future guests. We do install stand up a/c units in each room to try and help cool the place down but it can be tricky with the large floor to ceiling windows that face the Puget Sound. All and all, it's the tradeoff for such a great view. I hope you still were able to enjoy your stay and all the great attractions Seattle has to offer! We would love to have you back as our guest, keep in mind all returning customers receive a 5% discount.
A guest from SOLDOTNA, Alaska recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in July, 2013 The view was fantastic. The noise was bad. We had a wonderful time. We could not have had a better place. The 2 big chairs were uncomfortable and the coffee table was weak, but all else was fantastic. Would love to stay there again. Thank you. EMK
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea to Sky Rentals, LLC Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I am hoping that the noise did not affect your stay too much as it is the tradeoff for the convenient location and gorgeous views. Also, we provide ear plugs and try to let people know ahead of time that any of the condos in the downtown neighborhood are going to be noisier than others. Thank you very much for all your feedback I will pass along your comments to the owner. We would love to have you stay with us again and will offer you a 5% discount for returning.
Michael C. from Spokane Valley, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2013 The vacation rental was in great shape, in a great location and couldn't be better!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Michael! I'm so glad you had such a great time at Harbor Steps! The 5 star rating across the board is exactly the kind of review we strive for! We would love to have you stay with us again. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for exclusive discounts and guest promotions!
Donna P. from Hanford, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2013 Everything is all right there for you. If you have an elder with the cab system works perfect to conquer the hills. We stayed in twice and cooked fab meals just to enjoy the view from our condo. You can not open any windows and carry on a conversation due to the traffic noise right beneath us. Didn't like that. Noisy 24/7
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Donna! Thank you so much for providing a review of your stay. While I am so glad you enjoyed the wonderfully convenient location, fabulous views and amenities, I'm sorry to hear that the noise level bothered you. Given the proximity of the Harbor Steps to so many amazing, iconic Seattle attractions, it does attract a lot of people to the area. On your next trip to Seattle I would encourage you to check out some of our beautiful homes in the surrounding urban neighborhoods. They are equally convenient by cab, but without the volume that comes with staying in the heart of the city. We would love to have you back! Patrick O. from Post Falls, ID recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2013 Pool was closed for planned maintenance throughout our stay; a big factor to family with four young kids. Company agent ought to have known, forewarned. The pool was a big reason we chose this rental....then to not have it available, for predictable maintenance reasons was extremely disappointing. All esle went very well. The appartmetn is great & well kept. The location was exceptionally convenient. One minor critique is that the two living area chairs are pretty far past their prime/no longer comfortable. I would return, but hae learned to ask specifics about pool, etc without assuming staff awareness.
A guest from Somerville, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 Great location, great views. Easy check-in and check-out process. Condo came with good amenities. Unfortunately the pool in the building was closed- wish we had been notified.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Pamela! Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay with us at Harbor Steps 1620. I'm so glad that everything went smoothly for you and you enjoyed the location and views. It is unfortunate you weren't able to take advantage of all the great amenities since the pool was closed during your stay. Since we were not notified by Harbor Steps of the pool closure, we were unable to notify our guests. I apologize on behalf of Harbor Steps. We would love to have you back as a guest! Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for exclusive discounts and guest promotions!
A guest from Attleboro, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 Management was very accommodating of early check in + delayed check out due to extenuating circumstances. The location was superb with easy access to Pike Market, restaurants and attractions. The view from the 16th floor is spectacular. A more detailed list of nearby restaurants would be helpful.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Anne! What a great review! Thank you so much for taking time to write it. You're right; the location and the view are top notch! We always do our best to accommodate special requests around check in and check out, so thank you for mentioning it! All of our properties contain a property notebook with a list of nearby restaurant recommendations. I'll have someone from our Property Care team double check to make sure the notebook is current. Also we are always just a phone call away and would be more than happy to provide you with the names and locations of some of our favorite spots! We would love to have you as a guest again. Fabulous stay at Harbor Steps #1620, amazing place!
Christina B. from Lynden, Washington recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2013 We were incredibly lucky to find this apartment available for a short stay in Seattle, celebrating my dad's 80th birthday. There were 6 of us - 4 adults and 2 children and it was a perfect fit.We arrived in the early evening and enjoyed a spectacular sunset over the harbor. My dad's pretty hard to please and he was impressed with everything, but especially enjoyed watching the planes on approach to SeaTac and Boeing Field, a route he used to fly.Everyone at Sea to Sky was friendly and helpful. The apartment was very clean and well-appointed, even a step stool for the little ones to use in the bathroom. The closet in the second bedroom could have accommodated another 2 people, it was so big and the couch bed was very comfortable and benefited from the great views. The location can't be beat, Pike Place and the Piers on your doorstep and the Science Center/Space Needle/EMP a short ride away on the monorail. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.Highly highly recommended.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Christina! What a fabulous review! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience at Harbor Steps 1620. I'm so glad you and your family had such a wonderful time. Please let us know when you plan your next family get away to downtown so we can make sure you receive your 5% return guest discount. Great time in Seatlle over the Holidays. Location was perfect!
Sharon H. from Chesterfield, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2012 We were on the 16th floor and had an awesome view. Unfortunately, the sun didn't shine much but I would definitely go back and stay at the same place.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Sharon! Thank you so much for your review! While I'm glad you were able to enjoy the awesome view, I'm sorry the sun wasn't out more for you. If I could, I would schedule sunshine. The sun helps show off our beautiful city of Seattle! Michael D. from White Bear Lake, Minnesota recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 The location of the property is great.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Michael! Thank you so much for taking the time to provide a review. I am so glad you enjoyed your stay and the location! Please keep in mind that all return guests receive a 5% discount. We would love to have you back!
A guest from Gresham, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 We couldn't ask for a more centrally located and nicely appointed condo to accommodate our family of 2 adults and 2 children comfortably - walk everywhere, w/easy access to monorail/subway, etc. for more distant locales. Heated pool and spa a big plus in cold weather, too. Rental property staff is top-notch. Building management needs to make repairs/replace blinds in most rooms (several broken two years-running now) and towel bar in master bath fell off the wall removing bath towel! Little things like shower curtain hooks missing - small updates would make a big difference to make this a first-class rental.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Denise! Thank you so much for taking time to write a review. The pool and the spa are nice extras and you're right; the location can't be beat! My sincere apology about the blinds. They do tend to fall off, and despite our offer to install alternative window coverings at our own expense, the building will not allow it. I have passed along your comments about the towel bar and shower curtain hooks. Thank you for bringing that to our attention. We always appreciate details! Please keep in mind that all return guests receive 5% off their stay. We would love to have you back!

At Sea to Sky we strive for a 5 star rating, so please let us know what we can do next time to bring both our service and property to a 5 star rating! All return guests receive 5% off. Liz C. from Bradenton, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2012 This is a great alternative to staying in a hotel. The location was excellent and the unit was exactly as advertised. We were very pleased with the experience.

A guest from Versailles, Versailles recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in July, 2012 We were blown away by the 180° view on the bay from this 16th floor apartment. The property was spacious, well equipped and very comfortable for five people (two parents and three children). The only drawback was the noise coming from the highway below, which made it practically impossible to keep the door to the balcony or any window open.
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Christophe! Thank you so much for your review of Harbor Steps 1620. I'm sorry the street noise was a distraction for you, but I'm glad the spacious property and beautiful views made up for it! I hope you were also able to take advantage of the wonderful proximity to Pike Place, the Ferris Wheel and Seattle Art Museum! Please keep in mind that all return guests receive a 5% discount. We would love to have you stay with us again!
Janet j. from Palm Beach Gardens, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2012 Sea to sky were great. Bathroom and bedroom doors didn't lock and we couldn't close the blinds, they were going to send someone to fix those things but never did! It was quite hot during the time we stayed so we had to leave the windows open at night and the noise from traffic was enough to keep you awake!
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky Hello Janet! Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback on your stay. I apologize for the inconveience you experienced with the doors and blinds. I will follow up with Harbor Steps to find out why the work order request was not processed. Please remember that we are just a phone call away and if an issue is not being addressed, we want to know about it! All of our return guests enjoy a 5% discount. We would love to have you as a guest again!
Mary S. from Weston, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2012 Great property, perfect location. Street noise could be an issue but it didn't bother us since it adds to the "urban" experience. The unit was very well outfitted and the layout is great, very roomy. The building was excellent and we used the fitness room on rainy days.
A guest from Tyler, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2012 We were very happy about the location and convenience-Lighting at the dining table in theevening was poor-no overhead light to play cards or board games after dark-standing lampswere not bright enough. The road noise wassignificant during the week so needed morethan 2 sets of earplugs for the 4 of us-minusesnot enough to discourage a 2nd visit!
Location and view was bountiful. Condition of unit was not
William J. from Downey, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 10 days in April, 2012 Location and view was bountiful but the heaters were noise, doors off their track, window covers not working, and furniture uncomfortable

Harbor Steps #1620 - Amazing view and wonderfully comfortable
Teri K. from Prosper, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in December, 2011 We visited Seattle for Christmas and New Years as my son moved to the city in November from Long Island, NY. Orginally had hotels booked but at the last minute decided on a more homelike place. Sea2Sky was extrememly helpful in finding a location close to my son's apartment. The views were amazing, that was one of the draws to that location over another, watching the harbor and the view of the mountains and yes we could see Mt. Rainer a time or two. The beds were comfortable, the storage for luggage and clothing was excellent, the bathrooms were roomy. The kitchen had most of what you would need. We had to improvise a little for Christmas dinner. Missed having dishtowels to dry hand washed items, but we went to Sur la Table and I purchased some that I could bring home. I also bought a toaster oven and then let my son take that for his place. The road noise was a little more prominent than I expected, but once adjusted to it, I did not notice it at much. However when the wind blew their was alot of whistle noise from the windows, but that was only a couple of nights when the fronts rolled through. I do recommend that the blower fan in the baseboard heater in the dining area be looked at, it was very noisy, the fans in both bathrooms were extremely noisy as well. But those are small maintenance items that really are normal when you stay in places that are not inhabited on a daily bases. We loved the apartment and most likely will stay there again when we have a long stay in Seattle. The location was phenomenal! Pike's Place marktet for fish and vegetables was a wonderful experience and then to come back and cook them. Thank you Michelle for recommended this to me! I am blessed to have spent the holidays in such a homey place and not a drab hotel!
Harris H. from Eugene, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2011 This is a great property in a great location. It is well maintained and everything was as it should be. I lived in Seattle for 25 years on QA so it was great to stay in the heart of the city and close to the Pike Place Market
Barry N. from Brisbane, recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2011 Only comment would be that the property really needs double glazing. We found the noise from the Alaskan Way road quite intrusive at times.
marycatherine s. from midlothian, virginia recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2011 the location is fabulous and the view could not be better The kitchen is adequately equipped and given the weather when we were there we appreciated the extra fans! When we arrived we found half empty food containers stuck to the top of the garbage cupboard in kitchen but other than that the rooms were clean. the lock on the door was not working but the response to fixing it was prompt asn professional All in all we would recommend it!!!
A guest from Leavenworth, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 We were so pleased with the accommodations and the excellent service we received from Sea to Sky Rentals. Exceptional views, great location and a perfect place to stay with good friends.
Erika W. from Auburndale, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2011 Loved staying at harbor steps 1620! Great location, great services in building, great unit with everything you could need!! Reserved baby gear and "box of toys" from sea to sky and it was seamless! Our son keeps asking when we get to go back to "our apartment". Loved having gym, pool and huge common outdoor space to bbq and relax with family.
Julie B. from Burnaby, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 We had a fantastic time during our stay. Location is great, views are amazing! Only downside was that it was a bit expensive, and with 3 couples, only 1 got a nice bed. One was on the sofa bed and the other room was 2 twins. Would be great for a family, I'm sure.
A guest from Brookline, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 Only suggestion would be to get a better a/c unit in there since it really did not work well enough to keep the unit cool.
Nancy B. from Springfield, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2011 This was a beautiful condo with a fantastic view and a wonderful downtown location! The Sea and Sky staff were awesome to work with also. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to see Seattle IN STYLE!!!
Mark S. from Brentwood, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2011 It was our first visit to Seattle. We were attending a conference at the convention center. We rode the Metro Light Rail from the airport to University just 3 blks away for just $2.75. The apt was nicely furnished and comfortable. There is road noise outside so leaving the balcony door open is not a great option but TERRIFIC views and amenities. Walking distance to Pike Place Mkt, Waterfront, Convention Ctr, and Great cafes and restaurants. The Property Mgr was very helpful.
A guest from West Linn, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2011 Our only complaint would be that the apartment is loud from traffic with the windows and doors open, but the view and location is amazing and it's a trade off.
A guest from Wichita, KS recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2011 Very clean, practical rental located in a convenient part of downtown. Check-in and check-out was not the most convenient, but common for this type of condo rental. The unit had been recently re-painted and new carpet- a nice surprise. Balcony is smallish, but nice for fresh air and the sounds of the city.
Harbor Steps Seattle, a great location to visit a great city
Marsha C. from Oak Hill, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 This is our second time staying at Harbor Steps. The condo was very nice and provided our family with a comfortable place to stay during our visit. The views were priceless! The location is great. We strolled to Pike Place Market each morning for coffee and pastries. We walked to the ferry to go to Bainbridge. We walked to the baseball stadium and to the Bank of America building. The condo had lots of amenities and the concierge was very helpful with directions. We rarely stay in the same place twice but this was a no brainer! The online reservation process was very easy and they provided all the info and directions needed.
A guest from Mayfield, NSW recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in April, 2011 The apartment was fantastic. The location and view were brilliant. The apartment was really well equipped and wonderfully clean. And only a block and a bit from the airport light rail - for $2.50.
A guest from Boise, Idaho recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 We had a great visit and enjoyed the location. We had difficulty with our keyless key and felt that the front desk was a little irritated with us. But it was resolved. The front desk could be more friendly to the people using the property even if they are not living there.
Austin M. from Garland, Texas recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 Great location. Close to restaurants and Pike's Market. We were supposed to have an early check-in (1 pm) but our keys arrived 2.5 hours late...kinda irritating with all our luggage. Also, we had to push the twin beds together and hunt for sheets since we wanted to sleep next to each other. Other than that, great location, best view ever.
Lisa R. from Reno, NV recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2010 This was the perfect place to have a family getaway with grown kids. There was so much for all of them to do all within walking distance. The view was spectacular!
Patricia H. from Albequerque, NM recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2010 It was great being in such a nice location and the view is truly 180o over the water. I think the owner should replace the missing blinds so that whoever sleeps in the LR can get some darkness. A small table near the front door for keys, etc. would be nice. An end table or a large tray on the coffee table would be nice so one can put a drink down (the coffee table is a trunk and it's padded on top so that it can't be a table). The kitchen is beautiful equipped and did I mention how super wonderful the location is?
Sheryl S. from Carramar, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2010 Fantastic location, very close to Pike Place Markets and other waterfront activities. Apartment was very spacious only downfall was the noise from freeway outside all night.
A guest from Palo Alto, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 Everything was great except that the air conditioning didn't work well so the unit was SO hot and stuffy. But the view was amazing!
Robert M. from Wilmington, DE does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 The apartment was in a great location, and the view was stunning. However, it was incredibly hot and the single airconditioner was inadequate to cool even the one room it was installed in. Windows had to be left open all night in the bedrooms, making it difficult to sleep through the very loud traffic noise. The vertical blinds had numerous missing slat that prevented us from fully covering the windows, therefore, the afternoon sun further heated the apartment.I suggest installing a larger capacity airconditioner during the summer months and replacing the vertical blinds in the living room with window shades that could fully block the sun from adding heat to the apartment.
Lacking in Maintenance and Parking - Outstanding View and Location
Deborah P. from Olympia, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2010 Among many maintenance issues, the vertical blinds were missing many slats. This is an issue when the property faces west. The window that allowed the AC to circulate air was closed so it didn't work until we found a way to open the window. Mold in the grout of the showers. Parking garage a nightmare. No maps supplied and we were lost for 45 minutes trying to find the right elevator. No map of the facility. The whirlpool was scummy. Location and view were great. Bed comfortable. Hated the one bar of honey soap that was supplied in the bathrooms.
A guest from Miami, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2010 The location was FANTASTIC! The curtains should be repaired and upgraded, the sun woke us up VERY early every morning. The portable air conditioner was not good enough to cool the whole unit. When they advertise air conditioning the company really needs to specify that it is for the living room area only. The bedrooms are cooled with a portable fan. Despite those two problems, the location was unbeatable. I would stay there again just for the view and location. We were within walking distance to the market and waterfront. We were able to use the bus system to get us everywhere else. The view of Mt. Rainier was breathtaking.
Tracy J. from Seattle, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2010 Gorgeous room, view and location. Only about a block from the Market. It is worth the extra 15 a day for parking. I will definitely book the same place when my family comes back into town. The one mistake was were were double book in a community room we had reserved. After a conversation with the manager it was quickly remedied.
Leah R. from Frisco, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2010 Our weekend in Seattle was amazing. The property has breath taking views. It was very clean. Loved having the grocery package there upon arrival. However, I would recommend the owners invest in better kitchenware and more blankets. Sea to Sky Rentals were very helpful. We will be going back soon :)**** Jeff Wellmaker and Leah Rolen and the kiddos ****
A guest from Vancouver, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2010 Harbor steps is located in the center of it all. walking distance to all major attractions. the unit was clean and had an unobstructed view of Elliot bay and the Olympic Mountains. A couple of real negatives were the traffic noise and the drafty windows. the wind was blowing really hard the first night we stayed and the wind was blowing through the gaps in the windows so hard it was making the curtains rattle and was whistling so loud the whole family was up at 5am as we couldn't sleep. drafty would we an understatement. bring some caulk.
Best place we have ever stayed in while in Seattle
Greg E. from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010 This was the best place we have ever stayed in while in Seattle. It was so close to everything we wanted to do. The views were breathtaking photographic opportunities. The people from Sea to Sky were so friendly and helpful we have already referred them to many of our friends.
We were delighted with our apartment! Suggest you fix the one window with the plexiglass cover.
A guest from Santa Barbara, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2010
Property Manager Response: Response from Sea To Sky We are happy to hear that you enjoyed our apartment at the Harbor Steps, and we appreciate your suggestion! The plexiglass cover is there so that we can install a portable air-conditioning unit during the warm summer months. We install the a/c unit in the far left window, so that the glorious view from the apartment goes unobstructed, and we continue to look into options that will satisfy both our winter and summertime guests!
Julie K. from Sisters, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2010 We were in Seattle to see our daughter perform and loved watching the activity on the water and view was great. The traffic was a little noisy for us country folks, but other than that we loved it.
A guest from Mayne Island, BC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2010 great view, close to everything...BUT very, very noisy. Bring ear plugs, or won't sleep. Hwy 99 ROARS all day and all night. Can't recommend it because of the noise. Windows should be replaced, the noise comes through around the edges.
A guest from Salinas, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2009 We had previously stayed in 1520. We moved up to 1620 thinking it would be exactly the same, only one more floor removed from the street noise below. The configuration of the master bedroom was quite different and not nearly as much to our liking. However, it was a bit quieter. Other than that, it was a wonderful family experience for us.
Shannon S. from Austin, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in November, 2009 Sea to Sky Rentals was great. There was some confusion with picking up a box that was shipped beforehand and getting a high chair that fit a pedestal table, but everything was taken care of quickly. It was great to have a stackable washer/dryer in the unit...we used it everyday in this rainy city! The view of the ferries was fantastic. The location was also great...we walked to Pike Place market and to the monorail terminal several times.
A guest from Monona, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2009 Had a fabulous gals' getaway in Seattle with my sisters, and this property's location is the best! Walk to Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, Aquarium, wharf, and Pioneer Square. Seattle Art Museum and cute coffee houses right across the street. Best of all, the view of Puget Sound from the windows and small balcony is stunning. You can even see Mount Ranier when the weather cooperates. Ferries to Bainbridge (and other islands), as well as the West Seattle water taxi are right here. Urban amenities with a glorious natural view. Excellent little market right next door run by super-nice people. In fact, everyone in Seattle treated us with warmth and respect during our visit. We all just loved the city and our deluxe apartment in the sky! The only reason I do not give a five star rating based on property condition is that we traveled during a record heat spell and there is no central AC. However, a portable unit and fans were provided, and we were able to cool off. Due to the property's urban location, expect traffic noise from below. The view from the master bedroom and living room is drop-dead gorgeous, and the sofa bed is even comfortable. Twin beds in second bedroom can be converted to queen. Very nice kitchen and baths. Very nicely furnished, pacious and comfortable--better closet and dresser space than my home! Our group of four just loved it. Large groups could even rent multiple units in the building. The balcony would not be a good place for small children but would otherwise be family friendly.
A guest from Nainaimo, BC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2009 In Seattle during the heat wave - the condo definitely needs help with keeping the place cooler. Bedrms were stifling hot even with fan; vertical blinds do little to keep out heat - perhaps sunblocking drapes would be helpful. In order to have some air circulating had to open the windows, which meant it was extremely noisy, so much that it was not easy to have a normal volume conversation. The condo is very well appointed, and within walking distance of all we wanted. downtown. P.S. Nanaimo is spelled incorrectly below
A guest from Warwick, RI recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2009 We enjoyed our stay at Harbor Steps. We were 2 blocks from Pike Market, across the street from the Seattle Art Museum and 1 block from the Docks (great restaurants, some shops and harbor cruises). We parked our car on the premises--very convenient, in and out with a passcard. The only complaints were the noise (it overlooks Puget Sound by way of the highway) and the temperature (the retrofitted air conditioning unit was loud and not effective). Since we were out visiting most of the time, this did not bother us too much.I would definitely go back.
A guest from Pueblo, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2009 This condo was perfect for some first time visitors to Seattle. We were just steps from most places that we wanted to visit including Pioneer Square, the pier to catch the ferry to Bainbridge Island, and Pike Market. The views of the bay, the mountains, and the stadiums were great. We were in Seattle on three very hot days (high temps in the 90s and no rain) but the condo did cool down just enough to be comfortable in the evenings with the use of fans in the bedrooms -though it was warm. The traffic noise is quite loud so the fans were also good to help block out that noise at night. It would not be possible to sleep with the windows open for this reason. The condo was very, very clean and parking in the underground garage was convenient.
A guest from Discovery Bay, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2009 Very central location. Some traffic noise due to location near freeway. Air conditioning inadequate for warm temperatures but if blinds were kept closed and air running all day it was bearable. It was very clean, no problems. Better lighting in living room to read by would be helpful and another comfortable chair.
A guest from Memphis, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2009 We loved every minute of our stay in #1620. The Condo was lovely and provided all we needed, the location was perfect, we could walk to everything we needed or catch the bus. Thanks for a wonderful vacation
A guest from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2009 The location is excellent. The furnishings are dark and look very used. The kitchen is not equipped very well as far as pots and pans go. We have stayed in another unit there that was much nicer with almost the same view.
Maureen G. from Denver, CO recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2009 A perfect way to enjoy the best of Seattle as a tourist. We walked to the market daily to purchase fresh fish for dinner and ate, watching the sun set over the Olympics and the ferries on the sound. Great location.
A guest from Salt Lake City, UT recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in April, 2009 This was a great place and a nice location, close to Pike Place and within walking distance to the convention center. However, we had difficulty with getting an extra key for our group which made if difficult to come and go as we pleased. This place is not good for a group to stay because they only issue two keys. They had a third key, but they could not locate it. Although the location was beautiful with a great view of the Puget Sound, there were a lot of homeless people on the street below that were not afraid to get in your face and a few strip clubs within a block or so.
A guest from Portland, OR recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009 The only reasons I didn't give all 5's were that 1) The upright blinds were in poor condition in the master bedroom, and 2) Check-in was a little confusing - I got sent from one desk to another and back again. Other than that, we loved the place! We could walk to everything, the view was fantastic, and for six of us the price was extremely reasonable. I've already recommended it to a friend.
Gary B. from Snohomish, WA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2009 Great location, great amenities, close to everything, fantastic view! Loved having coffee on the deck each morning while watching the ferries!
A guest from Flagstaff, Arizona recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2009 We enjoyed the location in downtown Seattle. The freeway noise below was quite noticeable, but it did not keep me awake at night. I personally prefer a firmer bed...but that was my only "complaint." We loved the space, the view and the location.
Sallie H. from St. Cloud, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2009 location, location, location!!! beautiful views, close to everything. i will return to seattle sometime and will stay once again at harbor steps!!
Bob & Kathleen B. from Sonoma, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2009 The location, the condo, the decor, the assistance from staff were all superb!...but the view was ASTOUNDING! The negatives were and this was a pretty big one...most of the pots and pans were unusable because their bottoms were scorched/burned. Also, one of the lamps had a burned out bulb, and the front desk remedied that situation. The management compnay was great in that they delivered to us a new set of pots and pans the second day of our stay. help
Nina T. from San Diego, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2008 This is the best possible location in Seattle and the most beautful ever from this condo, we really enjoyed it !
A guest from Louisville, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2008 The location was wonderful and the condo views of the sound were unobstructed. The only drawback was the constant sound of traffic from intrastate #99 that was approx. 8 stories below our condo. The sound was more like white noise than an annoyance. The condo was clean and well maintained and the staff were helpful. I thought the location and amount of space were a good value for the rent.
Perfect location, great view; but road noise at night.
A guest from Grant, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2008 Our stay was wonderful, the location was very convenient, and the unit overlooks the water, which is really nice; but it also overlooks the freeway/viaduct -- which is very noisy, even on the 16th floor. It makes sleeping somewhat difficult for light sleepers (especially in the "main" bedroom).
A guest from Muskogee, OK recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2008 The condo was great. However, there needs to be at least one more chair in the living room. Your literature says the condo will sleep 6, but it sure won't sit 6 comfortably. We made it okay with only one hair dryer, but there needs to be a hair dryer in each bath.
Jane S. from Oakdale, NE recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in July, 2008 What a super place---the view was awesome---the location was perfect---- right in the middle of everywhere the staff was very friendly and helpful If anyone ever ask about a place to stay or rent I will definetly suggest Sea to Sky Rentals and Harbor Steps I know if we ever go back to Seattle I know exactly who to call We(the 5 of us ) had a great time and would sure like to return Thank You
A guest from Brick, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2008 Unit has an awesome view. Close to everything. Even at 16 floors up you could hear some street noise, but no big deal. Only downside is air conditioner is not powerful enough and only in the dining/living room, none in the bedrooms. Harbor Steps concierge staff was extremely helpful and very nice. Sea to Sky Rentals were a pleasure to do business with. Would stay there again.
Laura C. from Neptune, NJ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2008 walking distance to pike market, seattle;s art museum and shops. Close to water also. only need air conditioning in bedrooms, otherwise a perfect place with a view
Diane M. from Mokena, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in July, 2008 This condo was wonderful! I have never been happier with a place to stay than this! SUPERB LOCATION - Super Clean, Great Views, Excellent Service from Sea to Sky (Julie) and Concierge - Could NOT be happier. & close to EVERYTHING!
Mary B. from Dauphin, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2008 We took a cruise in Alaska then took the train to Seattle from vancouver. It was a wonderful trip... and would recommend it. Harbor steps was a great place. Wonderful views. However, I was told we would be introduced to our room, but, we had to find our way. Also, when attempting to get a cab to the airport, was told, to use their own service. Saved us quite a few dollars to get a cab (van) on our own. there were 4 of us, with 8 pieces of luggage. we were there when it was hot, and the air conditioning was not the best.... The kitchen accommodations were good.... We purchased seafood at the market, and made it at the apartment. it was nice to just hang out.
Olaf N. from Brookfield, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2008 The view from the 16th floor living room of Elliot Bay is enormous and beautiful. Watching the ships and boats can be almost hypnotic. And out the kitchen window, if the clouds cooperate, you get a clear shot at Mt. Rainier. It's an easy walk to the market, the aquarium, ferries, shopping, etc. Washer/dryer in unit means you don't have to bring as much with you--especially great if, like us, you're traveling with kids. Pay extra for parking--it will add years to your life. The only slight negative is that all the traffic below (on land and water) can get kind of noisy and the windows don't do much to block it out. A minor gripe.
Michael B. from Porter Ranch, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2007 We were impressed with the property, the view, and the ammenities. The heaters are a bit noisy as are the windows but overall really enjoyed our stay and will do it again!
A guest from Mexico City, Mexico does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2007 The location is great, but the apartment was very dirty. Dirty upholstery, walls, fridge, plates etc. The place looked great in the pictures, so it was a shock when we arrived. Either update your pictures or clean and paint the place.
A guest from Savannah, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2007 We had a great time in Seattle and one reason was Harbor Steps. We walked out the front door to everything we wanted to see and do. The apartment had a fabulous view, tiny balcony for fresh sea air and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Confusing parking garage and noise from traffic on the street below were are only disappointments. I would stay there again when visiting Seattle.
Robert M. from Wyncote, PA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2007 The facility was nice enough from a cleanliness perspective, although my wife and I had to do some cleaning of the actual apartment when we arrived. Nowhere in the Sea to Sky description of the property, however, was an indication that a major highway ran along the apartment. In that there was not an air conditioning system that was effective in the apartment, open windows were the only choice. As Seattle is a major city, the traffic never stopped, especially truck traffic. As a light sleeper, this was nightmare-ish at best. For this reason, I'm not sure I'd use Sea to Sky again.
Charles B. from Oshkosh, WI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2007 We had a beautiful view of the harbor from the 16th floor. We were within walking distance of many nice restaurants on the piers, a very nice aquarium, and Pike's Place fish market. I would definitely stay there again!
