Stayed for 4 days in October, 2012 The cabin was very well laid out and the view from the main floor deck was only a little obscured by the tree against the cabin. If you are going to eat in, just wash the dishes good before you use them. We found an entire cabinet of glasses with a very thick layer or filth and dust on them and the pots and pans looked like they were put away dirty. There were some cobwebs here and there but overall I would stay here again but would ask the staff to do a better job cleaning between guests. I think we left it cleaner then when we got there. Very peaceful stay though. It was romantic enough with the fireplace going that the tv did not get turned on for the 4 nights we were there. Highly recommended. |

Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 The night before our stay there was a storm, that took the power/water out of our original cabin. We were put in a much smaller one the first night and next day. (this cabin had dirty dishes in cabinets (we rewashed all), stains on comforter, maintenance had to be called to get jacuzzi tub working, etc. Plus side, it was private and had a friendly raccoon on our deck that night),the sunset view was breathtaking and bed was very comfortable..slept like a rock, and didnt hurt anywhere the next morning! Next evening office called that our original cabin was open..later called and said AC was out..but did get it fixed and we go to go over to it (Finders Keepers) for the remainder of our stay. This cabin was SO much better than the 1st. Housekeeping took pride in their work and really went the extra mile by folding towels to look like swans, elephants, bows..incredible. The cabin was next to last on road, and very private. Hot tub and jacuzzi both were excellent relaxers! The ladies in the office were great..even with calling for maintenance and complaining about dirty dishes in first cabin. They even discounted our daily rate by a little for our cabin not being available on first day...although through no fault of their own. I will be making reservations with them again this coming spring. Even with all the issues, I recommend them. They went out of their way to make things right and to give us a great stay! |

Stayed for 3 days in June, 2012 Such a great location- close to Wal-mart, Tanger, Titanic, eateries, etc. The view was very nice, and my favorite part of the day was sitting in the hot tub with a pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream while watching the stars and fireflies and listening to the bull frogs. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, and the washer/dryer added a convenience as we always had fresh beach towels. The only complaint I have is the king sized bed in the loft was in horrible condition. I reported this to the office staff. This would be the only reason I would have to select another cabin in the future. |

The pots and pan and kitchen utensils were filthy and not used for our short stay. The bed in the basement had a comforter that seemed cleaner but was probably 20 years old. The whole place is very outdated in terms of the bedding and furniture. It was barely decorated. The recliner in the basement (The only chair) was beat up and was broken. The blind in the basement was broken. The hot tub had this horrible yellow film all along the inside and at the bottom that was hard and was coming off everywhere. The cabin itself was nice. It was very clean. It needs some tender loving care badly. I paid too much for this cabin. I have paid a lot less for much nicer cabins. |

Stayed for 2 days in August, 2010 When we arrives at our cabin, it was 76 degrees inside, very hot especially in the upstairs bedroom. We thought it would cool off in a few hours so we turned the only fan on in the cabin which was upstairs. Two hours after we got back to the cabin, it was 80 degrees in there. I called American Rental and got the answering service. I didn't know if they considered this an emergency or not so I didn't state this only that it was so hot in the cabin. We got very little sleep that night, it was so hot. It was cooler outside of the cabin than inside, but you couldn't stay outside because of the bugs. I called as soon as I got up the next morning. I said either fix it or give us another cabin. I was told we will cross that bridge when we come to it. We stopped at the office around 2 p.m. and was told it was fixed that the aircondition unit had froze up but was working now. I told them how it had been so hot and miserable. I was told we're sorry and then told by another person "It could have been 100 degrees". I thought yes, it could have and if it had been I would have woken someone up that nite to fix it. I also killed two big brown spiders and a few small ones, when I seen the enevelope from housing about leaving a tip if we were satisfied, I thought I think we need a tip for staying here. It was our first time to use American Rental cabins and it will be our last time. We hated the road going into it and how we had to park also the high trees or bushes in the back. You would think sitting out on the porch to swing you would like to look at the scenery not the trees and bushes. |

All the metal cookware was either dirty or rusty, the BBQ on the back porch was really bad and unusable. It seemed that the cabin had not been stayed in for a while because every faucet and shower head were scaled over so bad that the water barely dripped out until my wife and I scrubbed them. The other real problem was the hot water... We only had about 3 minutes worth of hot water and it was impossible to use the garden tub unless we wanted to relax in cold water. On an up side, the maintenance men were really quick to come out for our problems. If we could change one thing about our stay, it would be to have hot water!!! I would reccomend this cabin to anyone, but just make sure you check in early enough to give it a thorough walkthrough. |

Stayed for 2 days in October, 2009 Well, do to the fact that the manager worked with us to get a cabin for 2 nights when it was a 3 night minimum, I think that this was a really nice cabin. However, we are use to staying in cabins that are secluded and in the mountains. This one was not. But, it was in a good location. Close to Wal-mart and the outlet malls. Overall I think that it was a really nice cabin and we would stay in it again. |

We truly had a great time, and hope to be coming back very soon. It was so peaceful there.The kids played pool alot. We all enjoyed the hot tub!.I highly recommend your cabins. The moment we got there we had trouble , No Hot water !!! Maintance said they fixed it but they never did . Then in the middle of the night our bed broke and upon looking in to the problem we came to find that the bed was held up by a concrete block and a piece of wood ! We brought a few movies to watch but quickly found out the DVD player did not work ! NO hot water , No king bed , N0 DVD player and one ANGRY WIFE !!! Long story short we loved the area and we will return for years to come but ourselves and any buddy else who asks our opinion will noy stay with American Cabin Rentals ever again !! One more thing not one manager even offered some kind of discount due to the problems .... Very Bad business in a good business mans mind .. |

Fifteenth anniversary was a real Finders Keepers Candice L. from Princeton, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2009 It exceeded our expectations. Sometimes you go online & look at pictures, but when you arrive at your destination it's not at all what you expect. The pictures online did not do it justice. You just have to see it to believe it. With this one being as nice as it was, I could imagine what some of the other cabins look like. I would definitely recommend this cabin. |

Great Location, Excellent Design, but NOT Mantained A guest from Burnsville, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2009 The cabin was not very clean, especially the contertops and dishes; the linens were not fresh but smelled stale. On our second night, a mouse ran across the floor and proceeded to keep us up all night- our kids sleeping with us! A Christmas tree was left up, and it's FEBRUARY; it was dusty and awkward. Our neighbors across the creek were up ALL NIGHT- loud, disoderly, rude, and drunk. It really was unbelievably disapointing; we needed a break, we loved the structure and the hot tub. Why didn't anyone offer anything in return for such a terrible experience. We did call and complain of the mouse; we will not ever be back but will continue to rent at Eagle's Ridge. |

Never Again!! A guest from Hermitage, TN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2008 We have rented cabins in this area for 15 years. This year we rented at Thanksgiving and our usual rental company was sold out so we rented with American Mountain Rentals. The cabin was filthy, the toilets not cleaned, couldn't see out of the windows, light fixtures and furniture were broken. The website pictures showed a flat screen TV above the fireplace which was not the case. The TV's did not even work properly. Thanksgiving is for eating watching parades and football. Didn't happen here. The website also indicated a stereo was available. We brought our own CD's only to find a broken boom box on the floor. The hot tub was disgusting, hadn't been cleaned in ages and had a total covering of hard water calcium all over it. Managements only response was a computer generated email which offered $50.00 off our next stay. Not going to happen. The rental requirements required us to stay an additional day which we weren't planning on initially. For $200.00 per night we certainly expected more. Motel 6 would have been better. |

There was a lot of "stuff" laying on the bottom of the hot tub. We wanted to get in, but decided it was too dirty. We also had to exchange towels and on a previous stay we had plenty of towels. Rickety bed, extremely nasty carpet, recliner had tears all in and would not work, blinds were broken. Just a very nasty room and that is unfortunately the bedroom I had to sleep in. This is not what I expected for almost 200.00 a night. |

Stayed for 3 days in March, 2008 The only reason for this rental is its close proximity to the fun places in town. It is a nice cabin but the American Mountain Rentals just did not clean the floors, hot tub, or maintain the place. The bed frame actually broke, and the faucet on the main bath came off and water shot everywhere. There were gobs of dust on the celling fan and the windows were not clean. Though I have written and called, the rental company has not done anything about this. |
