Had two problems. One gas smell...when contacted the emergency number, 4-5 times, no reply. Aired out cabin and turned off gas fireplace myself. Next day nice guy came out and was going to have someone else look at the problem was told all is ok and reset fire place. Same smell came back the next day and I turned off the fireplace again and never turned it on again. Two nights later was going out into town, dressing up, found wife's small jewelry bag missing. Waited to see if it turned up, or misplaced, no it was gone. Night when we came back, door was unlocked from tech guy checking the gas smell. Very disappointed. Loved the location, property, cleanliness but with overall stay will probably go with another cabin property manager.

Our cabin was wonderful. The lady that helped us book just the perfect cabin. She really took time to help us as if she were our family. I would request the same cabin. It was so comfortable and decorated as if it was my home. We had a great time there.

Up a switchback road, across the street from 3 other cabins, this cabin provided privacy and a great winter view through the trees. We could sit in the hot tub on the back porch with complete privacy. The cabin was super clean, the furniture was a nice quality, and we loved having the gas fireplace, for it was oold enough to use it. We hope to come back again.

Immaculate cabin. With a snow forecast I was worried about being at the top of a very steep winding road but it didn't happen. I was impressed with the condition and care given by American Mountain Rentals to their cabins. The best I stayed in ever.

A Very Loud Hot Tub Will Keep You Awake

This is a great, nice, clean cabin just outside Pigeon Forge. The cabin was clean and had just about everything we needed. There was a Kroger less than a mile away which made it easy to shop and cook for ourselves.This cabin did not have a view of the valley, and that is one reason I would not recommend this cabin to a friend. For the same (or similar) price, you can get a cabin with a much better view. However, we booked our reservation at the last minute in the middle of the peak season, so we took what we could get. This is a decent choice when your options are low.The second reason I would not recommend this cabin to a friend is because of the hot tub noise. Every 15 minutes or so, the hot tub (outside) will circulate water through its heaters to keep the water at the right temperature. Unfortunately, the pumps are very loud, and kept waking us up at night (the hot tub is just outside the bedroom). By the 3rd night, we were used to it, but the first two nights rough.The cabin was in good, but not great condition. The light in the shower was out making it difficult to see. Also, the kitchen countertop was not fastened to the base cabinets so leaning again the counter would cause the entire countertop to move! This cabin could use a solid half-day's worth of general maintenance. That said, we had no problems with the heat, hot water, appliances, etc. The essential items worked great.Last, we went to the mountains for hiking and were a bit annoyed by the Pigeon Forge traffic when going to and from the National Park. We are more likely to stay at a cabin "off the beaten path" next time. For someone who wants the Pigeon Forge experience, though, this cabin is in a great location.

The cabin was a little dirty. You could tell the windows hadnt been wiped down, bc they had face imprints on them and the kitchen table was really dirty underneith, as if it had been a while since the chairs were moved for cleaning floors. The entire porch was absolutely filthy as well. The squeeky bed reallyd does need to be fixed. Luckily I had read previous reviews and took a bed side fan to drown out the noise.

This was our first time staying at the cabin in TN and both me and my girlfriend really enjoyed it! The Great Smoky Mountain area was really beautiful with great views and a fantastic atmosphere. We really liked the location of our cabin as well as the cabin itself which offered everything we needed for our stay. We are planning on coming back in the future. It was great getting away from Chicago into a nice and quiet place to just rest and relax for few days. I just wish our stay was longer but next time hopefully we can get longer vacation to enjoy this area more.

Nice cabin, enjoyed the layout. Would be nice if the bed didn't squeak like a door opening everytime you move on it. You could hear the heat pump cut on everytime from the bedroom since it was located right outside the bedroom wall. Other than those 2 very minor things, the cabin was great.

My husband and I took our oldest son on a 'him only' mini vacation. My son has moderate cerebral palsy and is easily overstimulated so we wanted him to enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains (we are from inner city Chicago). All 3 of us loved it here! People here are very welcoming and helpful. Pigeon Forge is the perfect location. Far enough from all the Gatlinburg tourists yet everything you need is within a couple minutes drive. Our cabin was so clean and refreshing. It felt like our home away from home.

We loved the cabin's decor and location. We enjoyed our coffee on the deck in the mornings and spent evenings relaxing in the hot tub. It was like a home away from home. Our only complaint was a very loud and annoying rubbing sound on one side of the bed.

My Bride and I were very excited about our stay at "Hooked on You". It was well secluded and yet close enough to town if we had any needs. Throughout the 5 days we ventured out as far away as Cherokee, TN. but we were always glad to be back at the cabin for the night. Very relaxing atmosphere, quiet and peaceful. Much needed after the long days of site-seeing, touring and wine tasting. Hopefully we can make this an annual adventure as there were so many different things we didn't get to see and do.I think we are both looking forward to our next stay with you. My wife and I stayed at hooked on you for 7 nights. the accomondations were excellent. we felt like we were walking into a new place. the appliances, cookware, etc were good quality. we liked grilling on the grill. you might want to bring a couple of lawn chairs as the grill is 15 feet away from the cabin; with a convient street light overhead for evening cooking. Krogers at the bottom of the hill has excellent fish and steaks. this cabin would be excellent to view fall foliage.

We would recommend this to all who enjoy a nice, quiet get away. Beautiful scenery and just overall a very peaceful location. Also, there are many things to do in the city, which is only a few miles away! Love the hot tob and jacuzzi! We will return again!

We had a wonderful stay. I would have liked more kitchen tools, but the area was secluded, the steak and service at the Alamo was wonderful, the hot tub was great. The bed was okay,we have a memory foam bed at home, so not as comfortable, and creaked whenever you moved in the bed, which could be annoying. Loved the gas fireplace! The morning we left, the fog was in the valley and it was beautiful. I would love to be here during the fall, it must be beautiful. Since there were no leaves at all on the trees, that is the disadvantage to coming in foliage, so not as pretty. But overall, a very relaxing stay. Just be careful of the narrow, steep road.

Our vacation in this cabin was very enjoyable. The property and cabin was very beautiful. However, there were problems with the hot tub making excessive noises during the night. We thought a bear was on the deck!! The commode was also loose from the floor and the bed furniture was very dusty. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable place to stay. I would recommend it if these problems were corrected.

Hooked On You - Needing Repairs and Replacements

I could tell a big difference in the cabin but it has been over a year since the last visit. Most noticeable was the furniture is really worn and uncomfortable. We both went home with backaches! The charcoal grill collapsed when we were going to grill out. The staff were very helpful and brought a new grill out to the cabin that evening. I believe the same discolored toilet seat is still there. It rained and there are several leaks on the back porch which could cause damage to the porch floor. On the positive side, the hottub was great. I really enjoyed the free internet. The kitchen appliances all worked and were clean. The main thing that would deter me from returning is the uncomfortable furniture.

My boyfriend and I went to the cabin for a weekend getaway. The location was beautiful, very private back deck. The cabin has two cabins across the road but it's still plenty of privacy. The cabin was very clean, and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. We hated to leave but look forward to going again very soon in the fall. The views of the mountains are incredible, however there is no view of mountains with this cabin, not that we are complaining there was still a very beautiful view from this cabin.

We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay at Hooked on You. The cabin was spotless, the furnishings were comfortable and just what you would expect in a mountain setting. The large deck was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, reading and watching the wildlife on the mountain side behind us.The only negative I have and it is so small that I hate to mention it, but, I would have loved to have had this information before we went.... there is no measuring cup in the kitchen. So before you go, if you like to cook as I do, be sure to throw one in your bag.

We've stayed at this cabin before. We liked the bedroom and furniture changes made since the last time we stayed here. We have always been happy with the cabins in this location, and we stayed here many times when they were managed by Michelle's Cabins. My understanding is they are still being cleaned by the same people as with Michelle's. We have in the past, and also this time enjoyed our stay. The location is a little more private. We will be back next year, as we have been for the past 6yrs around our anniversary. I would/will recommend American Mountain Rentals to friends. Thank you,

The cabin was wonderful. The bed; however, was uncomfortable. Also having to wait until 9am to checkout was inconvient, a key drop would have been nice. Niether would stop us from renting again. It was beautiful!

I have many times stayed in this cabin before AMR took management of the propoerty. Upon my arrival I found a cold hot tub, no sheets for the pull out bed and the service person knew there would be two people staying when it was booked, harly any towels, the stereo had no sound for the tv ( had to call office to get corrected) and the kitchen counter ,dishwasher leaked all over and we had to clean it up . The entire counter top is not attached and moves all how would your trip be if you paid 1100.00 for a place and had these issues???

Though advertised, it doesn't have a washer & dryer, & for that inconvenience I expected at least an apology instead of an Oh really? Clean, but cobwebby. Had issues working the 3 remotes for the tv but a maintenance man came over & helped us out. The cabin is directly on the service road/driveway hanging over the side on stilts with 3 cabins directly across the road & more farther up. The drive is extremely steep up the side of a mountain & there isn't much of a chance of getting there with snow I'm thinking. Overall, I'd rent from the same place again, but I'd probably add secluded to my criteria.
