Not too far for From town and yet far enough. The view was beautiful as well. Fireplaces in each room as well as the living room, jacuzzi tubs and separate showers in each room, a hot tub outside on deck, a sauna too! The pool table and Pac Man arcade game were fun. The decor was perfect. Booking was a cinch as was checking in and out. Can't wait to stay again! |

Pots and pans were worn out but were replaced 1st day there. Management company was great and very accomadating. The parking area was very difficult to manover(sp?) due to uneven parking. Very hard to get in and out of vehicles. We had elderly people with us and it made it very hard for them and us. Stair rail was wobbly and needed repair. |

The home is beautifully decorated and the location give couples plenty of privacy. The steep driveway is one to get used to. It takes a good 15 minutes to get there from Pigeion Forge, but if you want seclusion with great views, this is the cabin for you. We are going to try to make it back every year and rent this same cabin! |

We could not enjoy being outside at all, we had to fight the bees/wasps to enter the cabin. The first night we tried out the hot tub outside, another person in our group was stung by a wasp, it was after 11 we thought we were safe! I had a huge black bug crawling on me while I was sleeping! YUCK WI FI would have been nice! Cabin is beatiful, to bad hubby said never again will he have to deal with wasps and bees while trying to relax! |

The porch has a really fantastic view of the smokies. The cabin is really attractive, and has an excellent complement of amenities. The one upgrade I would suggest to the owners or management is an upgrade to the cookware. It's low-grade and has seen better days. Kudos to property management on responsiveness. There were only two rocking chairs on the porch when we (two couples) arrived. We pointed it out, and two more new ones were there by the next day. |

It was truly a pleasure dealing with them. The cabin was most certainly away from everything for a relaxing atomosphere, all though when we first arrived there was an excavator 20 feet from the back door. After calling the property management staff, they ensured us that the equipment would be moved and no work would be done during the time of our stay. And they stood by their word! Again...staff was great. After paying $900 for a cabin for 4 nights, I believe I expected a little more as far as luxury and cleanliness of the place. I felt as if the cabin were "picked up" but not thourougly cleaned. The couches need to be thrown out, they are stained and in terrible condition. The rocking chairs on the porch are dry rotted!! This is by far my biggest complaint considering my mother was rocking my 10 month old son when the entire chair broke causing her and my son to fall backwards. The cabin was gorgeous with breathtaking views and serves as a great place to get together with friends or family, but the cabin actually looks as if it has held one too many parties. |

I found this cabin and thought it looked perfect and it was. The cabin itself is beautiful and has all the ammenities you could ever want or need. We wished we could have stayed longer. Our only complaint was that the grill was in really bad condition and compared to everything else in the cabin it seemed strange that they wouldn't have replaced it by now as other guests who had stayed there commented on the same thing. Other than that though it was a great vacation and I would definitely come back to this cabin and recommend it to friends. |

It was beautiful. There are a few other cabins on this road but it still seems very private. It was so peaceful. I would definitely stay in this cabin again! The only thing that I didn't like was the driveway when we arrived it seemed really steep and a bit scary, luckily my husband drove. Although, once coming and going a few times it was nothing! If you are looking for privacy this would be a wonderful choice! Also, I would suggest to everyone to see The Miracle at The Miracle Theater and eat at Mama's Farmhouse. The Ripley's Aquarium was great too! :) |

Stayed for 2 days in February, 2010 The cabin was is a great, private location; it was gorgeous on the inside structurally and the furniture was very nice. But it looked like housekeeping hadn't visited in a good long while. The pool table was dirty, the jacuzzis were nasty (hair, dirt, grime), dust everywhere, just generally dirty and unnacceptable in that way. Other issues included there being no wi-fi (which was advertised on that cabin's web page), jacuzzis were unusable b/c the water got ice cold in a matter of seconds, and there was few to no cleaning products available. The alarm system was useless. minimum towels. A dangerously steep driveway. And we paid a $100 cleaning fee when we got the cabin in aweful condition and were also expected to clean everything ourselves before we left AND housekeeping left an envelope asking for tips!! THE NERVE!!! It had great potential but absolutely aweful upkeep! |

Stayed for 4 days in January, 2010 We only had two complaints on this chlorene (sp?) in the hot after the first night it smelled like lake water and our bathing suits smelled awful. The second complaint was that the mattresses were terrible...we all woke up with our backs hurting...now on to the good...this is our first time changing rental companies in over five years. We truly loved this cabin. It had a great location (hated the drive way...scary) and was very beautiful. The cabin was clean and we truly enjoyed the pool table, the arcade game..that brought out the kid in all of us...the jacuzzis, the porch...beautiful in the morning...and watching movies. This was a great cabin for a great price! We will be back to this cabin as long as they don't up their prices like our last rental company did!!!! Hope to see you soon Rocky Top Escape!!!! |

Decent Cabin, But Wouldn't Return To It Delisa W. from Cocoa, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2009 The first view of the cabin is breathtaking; it's absolutely gorgeous! However, it's smaller than we thought, but for the 4 of us (2 couples) it was okay. However, it's described to have 2 decks, and I would NOT consider the back porch a deck (it's roughly 3x3 and no room to sit). The front wraparound deck however was lovely. The view was decent and the cabin was completely secluded. We did have a couple of issues. Upon arrival we noticed there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper (one in each bathroom) and half a roll of paper towels (we were there for 5 days). According to the website this stuff was to be provided, but when we called, we were told they only provide enough to get you started. That was somewhat inconvenient because we would've brought some with us if we would have been aware of this from the beginning (instead of paying almost 10% tax on it at the closest store 20 minutes away). Another issue was the roaches and spiders. We killed about a dozen roaches the first night (all in the kitchen by the food prep area) and one spider in the dining room. There were a couple of black widows on webs around the outside, so we just left them alone and they did the same. The biggest complaint was the lack of hot water. One person couldn't take a whole shower without the water going ice cold. The gorgeous jetted jacuzzi in the bedroom could not be used because there was not enough hot water to fill it. That was a big disappointment. Overall, the experience wasn't horrible and a lot of great memories were made, but if we return to the area, it will be to a different cabin. |

I would highly recommend renting a cabin from your company to anyone. The view was beautiful. The cabin was plenty large and in good condition. There were plenty of linens, dishes, etc. There were a few minor issues however and just suggestions for prepartion for future guest (1) The gas fireplace would not work (but we were gone too much for it to be of any major concern), (2) There was an issue with bugs (roaches in the kitchen & bathrooms, several seen & killed every morning) and the hot water did not go very far between 4 people. We could get about 1 & a half showers and the hot water would run completely out, so maybe some larger hot water heaters are needed?). Nonetheless, we had a wonderful time a the cabin and in TN. Everything was there that you could possibly need to be at your home, from wine glasses to pot holders to dish wash tablets. It was a great feel to know only thing you need is your food and drinks. We had a problem with the hot tub. It had to be shut down for a day but they were great they gave us a gift card for dinner for inconvience. Now thats customer service. The parking is a little steep.. But overall it was great,its 7 miles from town so nice and secluded to get away. Most all the jets were not working in the hot tub. We always look forward to using the hot tub during our stays. We called maintenance and there response after trying to clear the jets was hard water issues. When they left I personally asked if the water was clean enough to get in and I was assured it was. After inspecting the hot tub I was pissed that is looked like someone had poured a 25lb bag of sand in the bottom of the tub. The cleaning lady came out next and said she would clean it out but that it would not do any good due to the hard water. We also killed one to many bugs in this unit. So to sum up, hot tub repairs are desperately needed and a monthly spraying for bugs and spiders etc. These issues are not normal for American Mountain Rentals. |

I loved everything about the cabin except for the LARGE number of wasps. The associates didn't seen seem to be too concerned abo Tiffanie J. from Memphis, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in March, 2009 I WILL be vacationing in Piegon Forge next year but it will not be with American Mountain Rentals. I work too hard for my money as well as everyone else, and I am not giving it to a company that doesn't handle a situation of its customers in a professional manner. I am allergic to wasps and my sister in law was 5 months pregnant at the time of our stay. The number of wasps in the cabin was ridiculous. The only thing that the company could do was give us another can of wasp spray around 6 p.m., we sprayed that entire can including the one that was already in the cabin by 6 a.m. We were at the office the next morning complaining again. That resulted in the move. The associates wasn't too concerned about our complaint. We couldn't sleep in the upstairs bedroom. Another customer was on the phone during my visit in the office, and the associate told that person that the scorpians will bite but they're not poisnous!!! WHAT kind of SERVICE is this? I was also told that I couldn't be compensated for my move and that the pricing between the cabin and chalet was the same, and that the company is losing money because there had to be an extra cleaning. The chalet was a huge downgrade from the cabin, I had to speak to 3 different people just to get the difference of my money back. !!!RIDICULOUS!!! We wasted time out of our day packing up everything to move into the chalet and then had to wait for it to be cleaned. This is a perfect example of how NOT to run a buisness. |
