Family Reunion in the Mountains Kathleen G. from Flat Rock, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 Microwave in kitchen didn't work. We fixed a few slats that were loose on the deck railing. There also is an actual hole near the fireplace outside. Bedrooms upstairs were wonderful. Couches in livingroom pretty uncomfortable. --Need more chairs. The unit itself was perfect for our needs. We had seniors to teenagers to infants. The older kids stayed in the lowerlevel and enjoyed the pooltable. We all used the outdoor spa--it was large and had a fabulous view. Thank you for two coffee pots--we needed them!! The unit was well supplied with linens, blankets, pillows, t-paper, etc. Please fix the decks before someone gets hurt and clean up the trash under the deck in the back.--I realize it was thrown there by guests, but it is very messy looking. |

Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 We have stayed in several cabins in the Pigeon Forge area and this cabin is by far out dated and pictures are misleading. Not enough parking for this size of cabin, not enough seating in main living room or kitchen for this size of cabin. Cabin smelled musky and closed up and dead bugs were all along the floor/baseboards. Not just a lady bug or two either. I mean dead bugs. It was very obvious the cabin had not been cleaned or inspected upon our arrival. Office staff was very polite and tried to show us another cabin which to me was in about the same shape, very out dated especially for the money we were paying for the whole family to stay the weekend. I asked for money back and manager and owner would not hear of it. We ended up renting another cabin much nicer and lost our money to American Mountain rentals. Will never try to rent again from this company. Please update your cabins and get a new cleaning company. Also the furniture and appliances were in terrible condition at this cabin. Nice view A guest from Iowa City, IA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2012 This cabin has a lot of potential but appears to be neglected. The decks need power washing and painting, carpets needs to be replaced, dishwasher barely works and should be replaced, many of the bedroom windows had no screens so the windows couldn't be left open to enjoy the mountain air. The seals on some of the large windows in the living room must be broken because the glass is frosted in places. Carpet tacks were exposed in the worn carpet in one of the bedrooms--punctured my foot on the first day. Luckily, my tetanus shots were up-to-date. The cabin was advertised as having a gas grill on the deck--it did not. Upon arrival on Saturday, we called the office to complain about the cleanliness of the house. We were told we would have to call back on Monday and talk to the cleaning manager. We ended up doing the cleaning ourselves--washed off the sticky cabinet handles, swept up the dead bugs, washed the countertops and stove top.As I said at the outset, this cabin has potential. There was plenty of room for the six of us who stayed there. It is a good location and has a nice view but I would not rent this cabin again. |

Beautiful View But Difficult Location A guest from Athens, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2012 The view truly is beautiful. The cabin is roomy. Most of the bedrooms provide adequate space except the bedroom in the basement. The two queen beds face each other, and there is little room to move within the room. I ran into the bed in the middle of the night and cut my leg. The beds in that bedroom were also very uncomfortable. The "master" bedroom upstairs is very roomy and has a nice view of the mountains. There is very little parking space, and a road runs right past the cabin. The hills are difficult to attempt. Three guests could not get up the hill. The amenities were good, although wi-fi would be helpful for those who may need to work. The fireplace outside on the huge deck is very nice. |

Stayed for 3 days in August, 2012 The only real positive part were the friends we were able to spend time with. We all for the most part complained about how outdated the furniture was. The pics online do not give an honest view of the inside space. Having beds to sleep 16 but the living room & kitchen were too small for us. Needed to bring in furniture from the deck for seating space so overfilled the living room & still had people sit at the kitchen table.Furniture very outdated & old. Main couch very uncomfortable but were forced to use because of lack of other furniture.We were in P.Forge earlier in a cabin with 3 bedrooms & had much more space then this one.Many places dirty incl many dusty surfaces.Not enough parking space for the amount of people. We feel we paid too much for what we got. WOULD NOT STAY THERE AGAIN, THE PICS ONLINE HYPE WAY TOO MUCH. |

The large deck provided a perfect gathering place for all 24 of us. The upper porches gave us an intimate place to enjoy the views. The close proximity to everything...golf, Dollywood, horseback riding was perfect. We had to drive a bit for whitewater rafting, but no big deal. It was difficult getting to a grocery, but again, no big deal. We had a fabulous time. |

The location is very convenient to all the Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg attractions. The interior is a bit dated but functional. The best feature is the deck which offers a magnificent view of the mountains and incredible sunsets. Make sure to buy some firewood and enjoy teh huge outdoor fireplace on the deck.... great way to relax and unwind after a full day of golf. We'll be back again next year. |

However the cabin has some needs. I will list for your information our observations. 1. One coffee maker does not work, the other one is extremely slow. Both need to be replaced.2. The oven does not heat per the temp control properly. Kitchen stove probably needs to be replaced.3. The living room sofa is worn out.4. The pool table cover has wrinkles and needs to be replaced.5. There is 6 bedrooms, normally indicating 12 people staying (2 per room). We had 10 people in our group. There were only 7 rocking chairs. Our big attraction is the large deck and sitting around the fireplace. You need a rocking chair for every person. Thanks to Nancy at rental office for finding us 3 more. |

It was a bit difficult to find, but once we got there it was worth it. The cabin is very spacious and generally very well kept. The rental company was very helpful on the front end with reservations, directions, questions, etc.. Once we got there however, and realized we had no hot water they were not so helpful. They questioned whether it was really not working when we called..... and then there was no follow up on there part to see that it was fixed. We spent from Friday afternoon until late Saturday afternoon with no hot water. We expected more from the rental company in terms of follow through and an an overall general attitude of "we care this is happening.." |

The rental property was over all an enjoyable experience. The dishes on the other hand were not to our satisfaction as to the cleanlines of them. The dish washer was in poor shape and the results were evident. we washed the dishes before using them by hand in the sink. The highlite of the week at the cabin was the bear that tried to raid the garbage containers on friday night (1:30 in the morning). We watched from the second deck as he (she) wrestled with the garbage container for some time. I would use the cabin again or another in the near vacinity but the conditions need to be more cleaner. It location to the pigeon forge area was within minutes of the main attractions and to the Gatlinburg / Smoky Mountains. |

Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 oh whata a view was a wonderful cabin and our stay was great. i would like to come back and enjoy this all again. the only problem we did experience was the road up to our cabin. we were not informed of the road condition and or what to expect as road conditions. we where told it was a biker friendly cabin location but it would have been helpful to know that the road to the cabin was very steep with a hair pin cornerhalf way up and that a miror at that turn would assist seeing traffic coming down the hill. as well the turn off the road on the driveway to the cabin was not well marked and easily missed at the arrival as well it was a sharp turn in and a very steep incline that was a surprise to us all. at check in this information would have been helpful and prevented any possiblity of a mishap. our stay and accommidations were wonderful and i truly would come back with all the knowledge i have now. thanks |

Stayed for 5 days in June, 2011 The cabin we rented more than lived up to its name"oh what a view".Coming from the relatively flat to hilly terranes of north Alabama,the steep mountainsides bordered on intimidating!The view was more than worth it however.The accomodations were very nice.Could have been a little cleaner here and there but thats probably just my over fastitiousness(sp?).We did have a temporary problem with the hot water but they fixed it immediatly.Also we left some items upon leaving.The management contacted the cleaning crew who were already gathering all items and returning them to the office.Overall,everything concerning the cabin was A-one.Highly recommend to anyone planning a trip to the Pigeon Forge area. |

Carpet on stairs needs cleaned and kitchen cabinets need cleaned really bad and so do metal mirrors. We experienced some rain and during that time water poured in the kitchen window from above the window. We stopped and told the office on check out. The cabin is large and comfy just needs some tlc from owners and it would be perfect! Appreciated the rockers on the deck where we gathered every night to roast marshmallows. The hot tub was a big hit and there are many ammenities such as two refrigerators. |

The saving grace for us that week-end was the weather was perfect so we stayed out on the awesome deck and fireplace. We really enjoyed that. I would have liked to have had a big one in the kitchen. With 12 of us it filled very quickly. We also ran out of room in the large trash bins outside, so had to leave garbage in the cabin. Tissues would be nice - if they were there we didn't find them, but I had brought a couple boxes just in case. It Was Truly "Oh What A View" Maritza J. from South Bend, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2010 The cabin had everything that you could possibly think of needing. The view was wonderful! If I had to complain about anything, it would be the limited parking and the night crawlers that took over the down stairs bedroom(bed and floor), bathroom and poolroom. Some even ventured into the jacuzzi and the living room and kitchen floor area. Raid did absolutely nothing for them. Most of them died in the day time but was a mess to clean up. The "Tennessee" had some duck taped repairs but overall still a nice cabin and "Grandview's" repairs were done instantly upon complaint -loved it! Bugs... A guest from Greenville, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in May, 2010 I am not generally one to complain but when you drive 8 hours with 16 friends to find millipedes everywhere including your bed, it is hard to feel great about the experience. This house is older and needs work. The hot tub was dirty and partially broken, the cleaning crew did a poor job overall, the carpet was stained, the house is smaller then I expected, half of your view is of the dollywood parking lot and the drive way to the house was so steep some people got out of the car to walk up - it was scary. With that said, the rental company did try to make up for some of our issues - thank you for that. I hate to give a bad review but honestly - ours was not the mountain oh what a view experience I had hoped for. |

The beds were horrible. The queen beds sagged when 2 people slept on it. You could actually feel the springs of the beds.The kitchen appliances were kept in the kitchen just so that no one complaints that there was no appliance in the kitchen. The blender was sub standard. The can opener never worked. When we asked for additional napkin rolls it was denied. Imagine having 2 rolls for 3 nights in a 6 bedroom apartment!!! |

I felt uneasy about the getting turned around and driving down from the cabin. Thankfully we had no ice on the raod. I would reccomend a 4wheel drive. Other than that, the cabin was very nice and very clean. The view was amazing. The cabin was large with plenty of room to move around. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2009 We decided to stay in Pigeon Forge this time around (stayed in Blue Ridge prior) and will not be returning! We had a loveseat that was filthy, there were cobwebs all over the bathrooms, dishwasher was disgusting, carpet didn't seem to have been vacuumed, and when we arrived early was told that the cleaning crew doesn't like it when we arrive to the cabin early.... they had moved on to the next cabing, and now we know why, they were hanging out on the balcony smoking for 30 minutes! I wouldn't want to be disturbed either! Blue Ridge is a lot more secluded, cheaper, CLEANER!, and prettier! Oh and the person that helped us when we arrived definitely didn't have Christmas spirit... my husband walked in first saying we had a reservation and they pretty much screamed at him telling him that they wouldn't even talk to him unless I was present, when he was trying to tell them that I was on my way (getting out of the car!)! |

Nothing like the pictures on your website. The only thing we found pleasing was the great firepit on the large deck. Some beds were "propped" up, others were very uncomfortable. I noticed on the calendar that no one was there the days before we arrived, I would think that someone would have checked the place out and cleaned up a little. The first thing we had to do was sweep up all the bugs from the floors and window sills. Not sure about next year. |

Stayed for 5 days in August, 2009 The cabin does have a great view, but it is marred by the large expanse of the Dollywood parking lot which is part of the view. For those who don't mind that and want to be close to Dollywood, it would be ideal. If you like to walk of hike from the cabin, there are no paths around the cabin other than the roadway system. Much of the exterior furniture is badly weathered and the loosened nails snag your clothes. The kitchen was relatively well equipped, but some items (like hot pads and potholders) were missing. Some of these are relatively minor, and the proximity to local attractions can be an offsetting positive. |

Hope our brakes work!". We weren't prepared for the assent and descent to and from the chalet! But the views ARE fabulous and ever changing! The chalet was very nice itself but fell short in some areas. The washer, dryer and hot tub was filthy. The dusting job wasn't the best and frying pans and one coffee pot were unusable. Luckily we were prepared and brought our own. There are a silly few others like broken door jams, etc. But with my family we just wanted to have a nice Family Reunion and good time. We told the managers at the end, they just politely thanked us, so on home we went. |

The view is amazing-we greatly enjoyed it and the outside deck. The pool table is a great feature. The water smells especially in the basement, and I know it can't be helped because it is on top of the mountain. The sulfur content must be very high. I would recommend a water filtration system and perhaps a dehumidifier in the basement.We all loved the cabin themed furniture. Some of the comforters a little smelly. Maybe they should be washed more frequently or offer extra blankets to use with sheets and comforters could be peeled back.Thank you |

The maintance man came was great, he did everything he could to correct the problems. The office was not aware that one of the refrigerators was leaking. General cleaning was fine. There was no stereo in the game room. (Not a big deal but we were expecting one.) In the kitchen there was some unsightly build up on the burners. Oh What A View but what a shoddy place! A guest from Clayton, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2008 We left the cabin, Oh What A View, yesterday and dropped the keys in the drop box since the office was not open yet. I just felt the need to tell y'all how disappointed we were with the cabin. When we arrived there was no air conditioning. It was HOT. They did finally come and do something to the unit but there was no air at all coming out of the vents in one of the bedrooms on the main floor. The sofa was broken as to if you sit on it you nearly hit the floor. All the rocking chairs on the beautiful deck were broke and only 2 were use able. That is very difficult when you have 12 people wanting to sit down. Everyone was hot and had backaches from the beds and horrible furniture. It is simply a shame to charge the rates that you do for such shoddy accommodations. The floors of the cabin were filthy. We had babies crawling on the floors only to discover when you pick them up everything on them was black with dirt! The pictures on line make the place look beautiful and it was such a disappointment when we arrived. This was diffidently not one of our better vacations and next time we will go to the beach!! |

Parking was limited for our group of six cars, but that is probably not the norm of visitors to the cabin. The view was tremendous and the coziness of the cabin was great. We did have a little trouble with the regulation of the heat, however. All the staff and worker were very pleasant and easy to get along with. All our requests were handled in a timely manner.
