Stayed for 5 days in March, 2013 On our first night the police came calling at 2 am to have us vacate the premises due to a fire on the other side of the mountain. After we got packed we left and went into Pigeon Forge. We called the office and got a recording and then got another emergency number and got ahold of Mike who met us at the office at 4 am. He got on the computer to see what was available and found 2 cabins close together up in Cades Cove. These were 2 very nice cabins and he actually had us follow him to make sure that we found them. This was extremely extra nice of him to do. We stayed there for the remainder of that night and then moved back to the original cabin when the all clear was given by the Fire Dept. I believe that Mike went beyond our expectations and then I found out that he was the owner of American Mountain Rentals. Jeff, the office support was extremely supportive as well. The cable was out, this would not have been an issue but we have 2 small children that like to watch cartoons in the morning. The cable was not fixed until 2 days before we left. As well as the hot tub was nonfuctioning. It too was not fixed until the last night we were there. Making reservations we looked for these items and when they are not available when you are there makes a differnce. But we loved the cabin site and the easy access to town. |

The cabin was very nice, however the staff was rude when making the reservation as they tried many ways to get us to not stay because we were local and wanted a cabin for our 3 year anniversary. They rudely questioned our ages which were perfectly above the age limit and when I gave them a credit card number of the person who was gifting us with this cabin they questioned our financial ability to pay for it on our own. We then had to pay for it ourselves with our credit card to prove we could pay it. It was very unprofessional. |

Stayed for 1 days in July, 2008 We started out in the Lucky Star and when we went to use the jacuzzi tub there were worms in the water. When we took one of the worms to the office we did not get much of a response. We then called a little bit later and asked to be moved to another cabin and were moved to Tractor's sexy which was a little better but the staff acted like we may have made it up or something. That is the feeling they gave us anyway. |

The only proble we had is that our heat went out on the second day. We called the maintenance people the second night & told the Jessica M. from Ramer, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2007 he turned on the emergency heat so we were semi ok. But that was my only complaint that nobody every came out to fix it or call us to tell us they were running behind. |
