We were very happy with the location and view. We will be back in the Fall 2013 if all goes well. The only bad thing was after a long day of shopping and sightseeing...wish there was a better selection on TV or DVD's to watch. A couple board games or deck of cards. The hot tub looked as if the water needed changed. WE ENJOYED Lover's Point. This was our FIRST vacation as s couple. THANK YOU for the opportunity of visiting Tennessee.

We had a great time at Lovers Point. The view was absolutely amazing! The hot tub water was a little dirty when we got there, but we called the office and they sent someone to clean the water that day. The staff at American Mountain Rentals was very friendly and very professional. The deck could have used some updating and parking wasn't the best. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in this cabin.

We arrived to TN on time. The people who welcome us were very nice and helpful. Very simple and fast check in procedures. Our cabin was ready. Good family accommodation, spacious, clean and neat rooms, peaceful, not disturbance from anyone. Seeing the weather conditions, the environment around the cabin was clean. We love cooking, excellent kitchen, thanks. Outside furniture and grill was lovely. Nice (inside/outside) Jacuzzis. In general, a very spacious property (for up to 4 people) with excellent amenities, one large bedroom, and a superb balcony with great view. Place extremely clean and tidy, and very well furnished.I would like to thank service provided by housekeeper; she really made our staying very pleasant. We are very happy with the property and overall experience. I would definitely highly recommend.

Our trip and stay was wonderful. The view was great and the cabin was lovely. The location was great although I was not used to such a steep driveway (oh the joys of mountain driving! :)) We really could not have asked for better. The only thing I can say negative was I think there might have been a mouse in the cabin that woke me up several times and the ladybugs liked the cabin as much as we did. :)

The cabin need some up keep. Some of the furniture needs to be updated. There were dead bugs and cob webs. The shower tub would not drain and the bathroom exhaust fan did not work. We could not sit on the deck off of the bedroom because there were no chairs. I would not recommend this cabin. The owners need to do some updating.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. Electricity was out until the day of trip. They called to keep us informed and let us know when power was restored. Also had a problem with the television and help was sent out promptly. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The only negative I could find was that the garbage can was not in animal proof container and raccoon got into trash couple of times and had to clean up the mess.

We had never been to Tennessee, and this was tge perfect place to sray! The views are unbelievable & the cabin was clean, and nicely appointed. The bed was comfortable & everything worked. There were only two minor downsides. 1) My husband had to go to war with a family of wasps that were in the cabin upon arrival (but that was a quick fix), and 2) there was a freak storm that knocked out our power for the last two days of our trip. The management company was EXCELLENT though. The offered to either comp us the night if we stayed, or they offered to put us up in another chalet for the remaining night of our trip. Not many companies would do that for an event that was out of their control. They have definitely earned our business & we will be back! LOVED LOVER'S POINT & LOVED AMERICAN MOUNTAIN RENTALS!

Everything was beautiful. Looked just like the photos. The view was gorgeous! If I had to find a flaw, it would be the use of the hot tub during daylight hours. Apparently there was a wasp nest somewhere around the hot tub. Wasps love the sound of the tub running as they were abundant. The evening hours were better to enjoy it. I will definately be renting this one again!!!

My fiance and I needed a weekend away and decided on the smokies. This cabin had everything we were looking for. The view, the seclusion, the mountain top location. Everything was working properly. I was very picky and specific when deciding on the perfect cabin and the staff went above and beyone helping me find exactly what I wanted. I spoke to a few different ladies and they were all very familiar with the cabins and the locations of them. I almost had a personal scheduling issue and Jeff, the manager was very understanding and had no problem offering different options and working with me on finding a solution. We will without a doubt return and rent from American Mountain Rentals! Thanks AMR for our much needed weekend away!

The Cabin is very lovely.Great view. It really needs a deep cleaning. I know its a rental an back to back rentals does not give much time to clean properly. Gust to name a few the windows are dirty an have white spots an streaks not small spots you really notice them. There is a lot of dust on the doors nooks an on the criss-cross design, internal doors. The couch an chair in the den are very uncomfortable. I would like to stay again. I'm not complaining. My wife an I use to clean vacation property at the beach an debbie do for several well known people an we just became aware of the litte things to look for to be really clean. This makes or breaks a loyal customer. I depend on repete customers. Thanks Anthony H Sherman

1) The sofa bed is needing repair. Luckily when my 8 year old slept on it there was no problem. The bottom of the mattress is disengaged from the frame. 2) the air conditioning grate going down the stairs is full of dust (which I am allergic). Should do a better job of dusting that grate. 3) overall, we love the view and the cabin. 4) We feel that there should be a better trash can outside so critters aren't attracted. We did not put any trash out so as not to entice the raccoons, etc. The lid didn't even close properly.

The cabin was nice but the power went out 5 times, and no help was given. I udnerstand the one time was due to a tornado, but the rest was because of wind. Also the Wood Bees were TERRIBLE and I was unable to enjoy the deck due to these pests. THe bug man came and left spray that did not phase the insects, so that was not nice. There was also water damage in the cabin that led to a musky smell that I didn't feel was acceptable for the price we paid.

View was wonderful and the location was great. Hot tub was very enjoyable. The interior was also very nice. We enjoyed it immensely and definitely will return. However there were a few minor details that could be improved upon. A small table is really needed for the deck where you can place your beverages while sitting in the rocking chairs. The outside of the cabin should be sprayed for wasps periodically and the satallite package was of very poor quality. Otherwise we had a wonderful time. We would definitely recommend it to our friends.

The only complaint we had was about parking. When there was someone at the house sharing the drive, we had to back down the hill to the curve and turn around. The cabin decription needs to make people aware that parking is tight, and there is only room for one vehicle.

The chalet was very nice, clean, well maintained and location was good. We enjoyed our stay, but the couch is due for replacement. The only other challenge was heat control. Upstairs was very warm and downstairs somewhat cold. Closing all upstairs vents helped but a door at the bottom of the stairs may help more. Overall, 9/10 and the 2 negative wouldn't stop us from staying there again.

It would have been nice to be able to use the fireplace on Sun. as it was cool and rainy. Also, we had a lightbulb burn out in the downstairs bathroom, there were no extras, so we had to take one out of the light fixture above the table. Extra lightbulbs would be nice, at least one or two.

My wife and I were very disappointed in the overall appearance and upkeep of "Lover's Point". The hottup was inoperative and dirty(we wanted to use it on our last night--no time to report problem), dishes left in the stained dishwasher for us to remove, and the blinds on the windows were broken. We have used American Mountain Rentals before and hope that this experience does not represent AMR commitment to customer satisfaction. I find it difficult to recommend this property or AMR.

We thought the view was incredible. The condition of the cabin was poor. A building contractor came during our stay to inspect the deck which was sagging in the area of the hot-tub. We were concerned about the sagging and did not feel safe using the tub. The front steps were also leaning and in need of repair. The 1/2 bath upstairs had water stains on exterior walls indicating that at some point there was leaking.

The online photos are very old. There is now a large tree infront of the windows. The jacuzzi had large black chunks of something coming out when you turned on the jets. We were then unable to take a bath because all the hot water was wasted. The place had not been dusted in a while.(cobwebs) But you couldn't beat the view from the porch. Staff was very friendly.

This time was unusual, good for a story. We arrived, opened front door w/# pad, back door standing wide open, all a/c out, all creatures in. We had assorted bugs, flying and crawling. The toilet downstairs that has a sanitized strip had urine and toilet paper in it, the hot tub, which we had been salivating for was dirty, stuff in the bottom, you would think all this would make us turn around and ask for another cabin, but Lover's Point is special to us. American Mountain sent the cleaners to empty and replace the water in the hot tub, sadly they say the buildup in the tub was from a new well being dug, but we didn't notice anything wrong with the sinks and toilets as far as build up was concerned. The a/c froze up one day, it got hot, but the repair crew was there as fast as could be expected adding freon, the next day we left, we didn't tell them that the a/c had quit working again... Our friends the raccoons(yep, a pair this time)scared us when we were reading on the porch by turning over the garbage can, regretfully the only can we could see that didn't have a stainless steel holder. We've seen on of the raccoons before or maybe a baby of, anyway, all they really want is their fee for you staying on their property, bread is good. Gonna get em' something better for next time. This was absolutely the ONLY TIME that there was a problem with cleanliness. And all things except for the giant cricket under the covers on my side of the bed, slept with him for two nights of our 11 night stay, did I mention after a call to the manager about all of this he gave us a night on the house. They know we are good customers. Needs more space for garbage. We get groceries in the beginning and don't leave the cabin again if we can help it so garbage piles up, we decided to leave it in the cabin so our buddies wouldn't turn it over again. We pulled the grill in front of it. Alice and Bill please put a railing going down the stair to the bedroom, there is nothing to hol

The downstairs was cold at night. I noticed the filter needed to be change maybe that would help. Also the dishwarsher is broken. The dispeancer is broke and will not close. Very, nice inside over all we enjoyed our stay.

Words just can't describe the beautiful view we had. Everyone must see it in person. The pictures do not do it justice. The cabin was great. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sun come up over the mountains is almost a religious experience. I recommend this vacation spot to anyone who needs a time out from the crazy life we all lead!

Spent the weekend at Lover's Point - its a nice location with great views. The ladybugs were everywhere but you get that with any property. The problem was safety - the outside stairway has no rail on the right side going up and is open to the underneath of the porch. It isn't a problem in daylight, but at night the lower 2/3s of this stairway isn't lit at all. With the porch light shining in your eyes and the stairwell dark its a real safety hazard. In addition, the stairway to the bedroom downstairs has no handrail, so there's no way to help pull yourself up from downstairs.This is a nice little cabin, but if you have any mobility issues (bad knees, etc) you should probably stay away.

We very much enjoyed the cabin and the location. Everything was quite nice, with the exception of the TV on the main level, which was a bit small for a room of that size (furniture was far enough away from the TV that it was a little hard to see). Overall, a very nice property and we highly recommend this to others.

This cabin was great, very cute! We went for our honeymoon. The well water this time of year was a little questionable, but they said that it has been tested by the health department. a few bubbles in the hot tub and it would mask it.

I asked for a cabin with a great view of the mountains for photography - this trip was solely for photography. The location was perfect. I took a couple of hundred shots right from the deck over the 4 days and at least a dozen of those are perfect for framing. My trip would have been a lot less enjoyable in any other location.Only problem I ran in to was that the hot tub was unusable - the water was off-color and needs to be changed - since I didn't expect to use the hot tub I won't downgrade you for it but you should check it out.

I was very displeased with the quality of the cookware. I wanted a cabin so we would be able to cook and not go out. There was not one single fry pan that was decent enough to fry an egg in, the knives would not have cut butter. There was no steak knives. We found part of a wine opener. VERY POOR QUALITY for what was paid for this cabin. The kitchen items are important to most that choose to stay there instead of a hotel. I would like to have known about the quality of the water so I could have brought a few gallons with me. I am sure many of the cabins must have a filter system.Would not use you again.

The pull out was the worst we have ever seen. We never found any sheets for it. The pillows were so filthy that we had to go buy new pillows and put a blow up mattress in the bedroom floor for our children. Comforter on bed must have been there forever. The decor was bare. Old furniture. This could be a great place with a little effort. The view is incredible.

The hot tub should have been on the bedroom floor, more heat was needed in the bedroom as well as more hot water for the jacuzzi was nice that there was cleaning supplies in the cabin.Something needs to be done with the well water smell, really bad!!! The guest book with past guests comments was a great idea! Couldn't enjoy the view because of the rain and fog. Needed more towels. Overall, would stay again, nice getaway. Thanks for a great weekend!

The only problem I had was that it seems more secludedBUT, we were COMPLETELY SATISFIED with the entire stay. The location is out of this world and the house was clean, with all amentities available at our finger tips. The kitchen was conveniently stocked with a little of everything that I didn't think about, along with can opener, paper towels, a bottle opener for the bottle of wine I brought and didn't think about an opener. We had plenty of towels, we washed one load in the washer and dryer that was there. than it actually is. We were not bothered by anyone staying around and were completely left alone. The advertisement pictures look as if you are on a mountain all by yourself, but there are other rental houses all around you, in the back on both sides close to you, and as the winding drive way for all houses goes up, there was a house just below us in front. Very nice place, and I will return one day and use the American Mountain Rentals.

Little decor to accent cabin. Cabinets not clean and organized. Polyurethane container for floor and roofing tar container stored in downstairs bathroom cabinet. Night stand in bedroom missing drawer handles. Windows in need of cleaning. Larger TV in bedroom rather than in living area. Water pressure terrible if attempt to open another faucet or flush another toilet. Greatest asset is the view. If cabin were better maintained and furbished, this would be a great vacation get-a-way, but we would not consider staying here again as it is.

There are some areas that need cleaning. The windows were dirty and the bed cover was dirty!! That was the most unappealing thing. Also, there are corners with dust and bugs. The linoleum in the downstairs bathroom is peeling. Also, what's the deal with the low water pressure? The hinge on the dishwasher detergent holder is broken. Other than the aforementioned things, we enjoyed it very much!!

My husband and I enjoyed this cabin to get away from the hustle and bustle of the Parkway. It was comfy, clean, and had a great view! And, even though there were other cabins around, it was still quite private. There were a few disappointments, which were: only 1 match left for grilling, no grilling supplies, no potholders, no steps to get into hot tub, no blind/curtain on bedroom window, VERY uncomfortable sofa bed (although the regular bed was wonderful!), no DVD player for bedroom TV, no Pay Per View, outdated shower head, and there was one pan that was with the clean dishes that was VERY dirty. These are all fairly minor issues though, and mostly just due to our personal preferences. One other thing that bugged us is that we were expected to clean the kitchen, do dishes, and take out the garbage, yet the cleaning service wanted us to leave them an extra tip. We thought this seemed a bit unreasonable since we did the majority of the heavy cleaning ourselves. All in all, we'd recommend the cabin to a friend.

Everything was pretty nice at Lover's Point and the people at American Mountain Rentals were very nice and helpful. The cabin could use a little work, maybe curtains on ALL of the windows in the downstairs bedroom, but overall, it was very nice.

I was looking forward to using the hot tub, but it was so filthy, I had to get out of it right away. The foam was gray and scummy. Also the jacquizi ran out of hot water before it even reached the jets.The hot tub was right above the bedroom on the deck and it ran all night.

I absolutely loved my stay at Lover's Point in Tennessee. It was everything I had envisioned my trip would be and more. The cabin that we stayed in was cozy and romantic...the view was spectacular...and the hot tub on the porch made the evening under the stars even more enjoyable. Sitting in the rocking chair at sunset I could see myself growing old in a place like this...a little piece of heaven right here on earth. I had the time of my life in this quaint little cabin in the mountains and plan on visiting again soon.
