Great location, not so great property with bugs A guest from Lizella, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2013 The property was not totally clean. There were a lot of dust and a musty odor. There were a bug problem and we killed bugs the entire time during our stay. I read the reviews about the wasps in hopes that it was inaccurate, but I learned the hard way that it was accurate. There has to be a next of infestation somewhere in the cabin. It was so bad that we contemplated buying bus spray and treating the entire cabin. |

Stayed for 2 days in February, 2013 The room was great for the amount of people we had and the view was beautiful but they definitley need to give serious attention to the upkeep and cleanliness of the inside of the cabin and the grounds surrounding the outside. Off of the decks there was trash such as beer cans etc, all over the place. The floors are extremley noisy. It did not look or feel clean. The beds linens smelled dirty, we had to remove them and wash them before using and that is very inconvenient when there were 5 beds! I purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms myself, again not what I wanted to be doing on vacation.There was dust an inch thick on front of all tvs. You need to consider a new cleaning service if you want us to return. |

The only issues we encountered were that the hot tub was dirty, and animals were living in the roof. We were awakened in the middle of the night to scurrying sounds and took a while to realize there was not an animal in the room with us. The road to the cabin is very steep, as is the driveway, so that was a little scary, too. I would definitely choose to stay in this cabin again, as the location was absolutely beautiful. |

Amazing Place is just that. The drive up to it cabin was fun and the drive coming down was great just like a amusement ride if A guest from Prattville, AL recommends this property. That is the most well stocked fully equipped kitchen I have seen in a place. The only kitchen issue we had couldn't find the electric cord for the griddle but there was plenty of frying pans to use to cook up a big breakfast for the 14 of us. We were thoroughly impressed and will book with American Mountain Rentals again. Do you by chance have any rentals in Gulf Shores, Alabama that is where the next reunion will be held? |

The table was too worn down that it was about to collapse. The basketballs for the hotshot game were flat and we were told the cabin was decorated for Christmas and it was not. We had to make a last minute run to walmart to get the tree and other decorations. The staff was helpful but the owner needs to let the company know the exact condition of the cabin prior to advertising. |

I feel if you advertise sleeps 14 you should provide bedding for 14 people. We had to make a trip through heavy traffic to the office to pick up exta sheets. The roof leaks by the big table end closes to the kitchen, this was no problem to us but just wanted you to know. |

The cabin did have issues though. Squeeky doors - my husband oiled. Air hockey not working - my son-in-law fixed. Various game pieces missing - my daughter located. Freezer door wouldn't close - my husband fixed and the list goes on. The spiders were outrageous - probably not too much can be done about this. There has obviously water damage at one time from upstairs to downstairs - kitchen floors very squeeky and water stains on wood. The dusting of the window sills/baseboards left much to be desired and wiping down the walls once in a while would probably be a good idea. Lots of cobwebs. The concept of this cabin was great as was the layout - but I don't think it is well maintained and I think the cleaning crew does bare minimum. |

The dishwasher did not work until maintenance fixed it on our last day. The floor in the kitchen squeaked so loudly that you could hear it on every level of the cabin. The decks need to be refinished. They are a safety issue if you walk on them without shoes. |

Being Thanksgiving week, we planned to cook most of the meals and were very disappointed to see that the only grill available was a open faced camp site type grill. We had to buy our own to use. Further inspection brought to light many more issues. The downstairs refrigerator did not work when we arrived, bannisters were very loose, many of the controls on the hot tub were broken off, the games (fooseball, pool and basketball) were all dated and in poor condition, the 5th bedroom was little more than a closet, we found maggets under the rug in the dining area, at night the squirrels would constantly chew or run through the walls and the TV in the game room did not have a satelite box. We brought these issues to management as we noticed them and the magget issue was rectified by giving us a broom and dustpan. The squirrels were just part of the ambiance. There was never another box brought up for the TV or the bannisters tightened. The refrigerator was fixed. Overall, I would look for another place to stay next year. For the price, I really expect more out of the property. |

The stairs leading to the recreation room didn't have a safety rail & the T.V.'s had some minor glitches (including us having to replace batteries for remotes @ our own expense). The foosball table frame was unstable,we moved it out of the way, because the table legs were broken,so the little ones would remain safe. There were quite a few wasp & spider nests alongside the decks & the hottub frame,that we removed(thanks for the wasp sprays & water hose). Overall, the cabin was the perfect setting for us to start our marriage and to strengthen family bonds. And it is a place we would enjoy returning to over the years to celebrate our anniversary. "Amazing Place" is a title that says it all. Thank you to the owners and AMR for making that, and much more, possible. |

The view is great, the bedrooms are nice and the patios are great. My suggestion would be for the owners to do a little spring cleaning in and around the building. There is litter around the hill and the bathrooms need a deep cleaning. That said, stay at this place, you will love it. The people in the office were nice, it was real easy check in and check out. The location was great, a lot of privacy so we didn't worry about the kids yelling or having fun. There was enough parking. If you are thinking about staying in a hotel, don't do it, this place is much better. It is worth it. Good luck. |

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location was great. There were fourteen of us and there was plenty of room for all of us to Nancy F. from Wisner, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2008 The only negative comments that I have is that the cabin could have been a little cleaner upon our arrival. There were a few things that needed attention that we chose to take care of on our own. The bathrooms were not very clean and the carpet was in need of vaccumming. |

Stayed for 8 days in November, 2008 The floors really need to be redone because everywhere you step it creaks. It is very bad in the kitchen which is right above a downstair bedroom. There is also a prety bad wasp problem. I understan there is bugs in everey house but this is the seccond time we have stayed in this cabin and it should have been taken care of by now. |

Stayed for 7 days in May, 2008 We had 13 and it was hard to move around because the house had too much furniture, cluttered, was not very clean, had roaches and spiders inside and carpenter bees outside. Internet pictures were deceiving. Not enough cookware/glasses. We have reunion once a year and were very disappointed with this house. Would not recommend. |

The cabin is huge and nicely decorated. The view of the mountain was amazing. We easily could have spent the whole trip at the cabin. American Mountain Rentals was great to deal with and check-in was quick. We would definitely rent the cabin again and use American Cabin Rentals too! |

Stayed for 2 days in May, 2008 this was our second stay at Amazing Place. this time it didnt seem very well kept. it rained into the house while we were there all over master suite bed so we werent even able to sleep in the bed,when calling office the only thing they said was that they were sorry. bathtubs/showers were a bit dirty also. very disappointed this trip! |
