It was just secluded enough to give us a nice cabin feel, but still not too far from the city were we spent a lot of our spare time. The hot tub was awesome and being able to just hop on out to it was great. It was great to have all the kitchen utensils we needed so we could make lunches and dinners in the cabin to save a little money. We were a little disappointed there was no wi-fi, but it was probably for the best and allowed us more cousin bonding time! Overall, we loved gummy bear and we are definitely coming back next time we go on vacation! |

Stayed for 2 days in December, 2012 It was a quick 2 night holiday stay and I needed a pet friendly location nearby the homes of my relatives. My relatives live in Seveirville and Knoxville so the location of this cabin in Sevierville was great - I didn't have to drive through Pigeon Forge to access it. This saved me lots of traffic travel time. The actual cabin sits on several acres of land with a second cabin - this was a great flat area for walking my dogs and the private drive meant no traffic. The cabin was clean and well kept. Didnt get to use the outdoor hot tub - no time and it was December. I would stay again if the opportunity arises. |

The cabin was spotless and was well equipped with the kitchen tools, dish washing products and dinnerware. The living room sofas and the beds were comfortable. Appreciated the alarm system. Unfortunately the cabin was not as "remote" as we expected. A through street for Sevierville is a short distance from the front of the cabin. (However, the road noise at night were muted in the cabin. The front bedroom could have used more opaque curtains.) Additionally, the Honey Bear cabin sits back on the same property and is accessed by the road that runs along the side of the cabin. We would definitely return to this property but might consider the Honey Bear cabin next time for that sense of "remoteness". |

There was so much going on at my house because my son, his wife and kids live with us. I wanted some quiet time with my husband, brother and his wife. I searched many, many cabins and just when I was going to give up I came across this cabin. It was everything I wanted. Our stay was quiet. The cabin was very clean and offered everything that I would have at home (except all the noise) We cooked out on the grill every night, listened to the screech owl and just did nothing. I hope I get to rent the cabin again soon. I loved it. The road noise was loud, but that really didn't bother us too much. It is a beautiful cabin. I will daydream about it for weeks to come. |

Awful smell A guest from Cocoa, Florida does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2009 When we walked into the cabin, we were hit in the face with a smell that was absolutely horrifying. We called the office and said that we would try to take care of it. They offered to come out but we opted on candles and Febreeze. The carpets in the bedroom smelled like something had died on them or in them, and was still there. Besides that, the cigarette smell was buried in both bedspreads, the leather couch, the curtains, the area rugs. If it were my cabin, I would paint, rip up those carpets, and make sure no one ever smoked in it again. We couldn't sleep on the beds because they smelled so bad, and there were stains on the comforters. I slept on the couch with a blanket I brought from home and my husband slept on the floor. This isn't the maid's fault- the toilets and tubs and kitchen were clean... this was just a general smell that no amount of cleaning would fix. We spent almost $700 for 3 nights and tried to stay away from the cabin as much as possible because the smell made everything so gross. I literally gagged every time I had to walk through one of those bedrooms. Very disappointing. |

Otherwise, it was a very enjoyable stay. The cabin was everything you could ask for and the deer crossing the back of the property added to our enjoyment. |

Office says give it time. End result no heat until 11:00 temperature outside was 24 degrees. With two children especially don't appreciate paying $170/night and not having heat on New Years Eve. Customer Satisfaction does not seem very important to American Mountain Rentals. |

Table and night stands were sticky, floors not well sweept neighbors dogs barked alot. Nice cabin, a little plain. But, we had a great vacation in the Mountains. I was in TN to attend my son's wedding and only had a couple of days. As a result, we didn't have much time to ourselves (my wife and I). There really is nothing negative to say and that's a big deal with me because I certainly am not known as Mr. Positive. I am considering a return but this time when the trip is all about free time. It would really be lots of fun especially being right next door to all the happenings in the area and there are plenty. My wife loved it too. |
