family spring break 2013 A guest from Gainsville, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2013 The overall location of the unit was great. We had a great time while we were there. The maintenance of the house could have been a little better. We were looking forward to getting in the hot tub and relaxing while we were at the house but the hot tub was not adequately supported and the railings were very weak for being up on the third deck of the house. Also one of the shower doors fell off and smashed my mother's toe from not being secured on the tracks correctly. I would rent again from American mountain rentals just not this property. Overall a good experience other than the shower door and the hot tub. |

Disappointing rental home experience Edward V. from Miami, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2012 Upon checking in, we were told by manager that 2 out of 5 tv's were not working, but that they would be repaired!! No one ever showed up!! Nice Location, but home was not cleaned very well. Food and garbage underneath furniture, blankets left thrown on queen bed. Home was short on blankets, so we bought 2 blankets. No trash bags, so we bought trash bags. All 3 toilets consistently backed up during stay. Used available plungers all week. Door lock inoperative on 2nd night, everyone stood outside for an hour in 40 degree temps until tech from management company showed up. No housekeeping service during our entire stay.Very disappointing for $1,748!!! |

The staff wasn't very friendly when I arrived. The upstairs bathroom was dirty, spider webs, fridge wasnt properly working, broken stairs and jacuzzi was super dirty. The rooms were comftorable but the fireplaces were shut off. I had to call and advise or complain about 3-4times the first 2 days and I really don't like to complain but for what I payed and read I definetly expected more then what I got. |

Don't Recommend at ALL Martha R. from Zionville, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2011 Upon arrival found toothpaste and long hair in bathroom floor. At 8:45pm Friday night had no hot water only luke warm had to heat water to wash the dishes that we had planned on using that were covered in grease (pans). Maintenance personnel showed up and did fix the hot water. Purchased groceries placed in refrig. found out on Sat morning we had lost all of our food refrig was not working. By this time I was pretty upset however continued on with our plans. Went to take grandson to pool that we were allowed to use and before entering pool we were asked to leave,some man traveling the area probably a hostess of this resort or some sort stated private pool so went back to cabin and the man followed us and pulled in behind us and apologized said we should use another pool down the road that we were not allowed to use, even thou we were at the approiate pool to begin with he stated he had to keep locals out and obivous did not believe that we were staying where I said we were. By this time we were real upset and had not yet called the American Mountain Rentals for all the issues that had occured. Should have reported all these problems immediately after all this had happened. After we come back home I called and talked to the manager and he thanked me for calling! That was not the answer I was looking for, at least he could have reimbursed for something! I have no plans on staying with this company again! If you do stay with this co. you better check everything out 100% upon arrival. and before you leave for the day and return to find out everything is ruined! Also the place was not what we expected at all stated cabin however I believe it was a chalet. Dead bugs and moths laying around, king size bed was busted right in the middle(wooden headboard), no steps to the hot tub, porched was rotten in places. You name it it was horrible! |

Great Getaway at Heavenly Mountain A guest from Manassas, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in November, 2010 We had a great time at Heavenly Mountain! The cabin was very clean and well equipped. The fridge in the kitchen didn't seem to get very cold, even on the coldest setting. We made a jello salad for Thanksgiving dinner and it never set up. On day 3 we started putting stuff in the basement fridge and that worked much better. The jacuzzi in the upstairs loft area spit out some soot from the jets. We didn't use it again after the first time. The hot tub on the deck was fabulous! The location proved to be a handy one as we needed to make multiple trips to the Kroger at the bottom of the hill. Overall, I would recommend this cabin to others. My family very much enjoyed the stay at Heavenly Mountain. |

Very Nasty Hot Tub & It Did Not Work Properly Dalisha M. from Rome, GA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2010 I was very disappointed in this rental! First of all it was not the property that I rented, which was no ones fault due to the weather, but the hot tub was very filthy and it was cleaned and drained and then once it heated up on our last day there the jets would not come on. The house was dusty, also had dirty dishes that someone had put away ....Groce!. They did very little to help, I ask to be moved and said they had nothing, ok but they could at least offered our money back so we could have located another place to stay. This was our first vactaion in 3 years because of the economy and we normally go to the Great Smokey Mountains 3 to 4 times a year..........We Love It! This was the worse vacation I ever had! I am very disappointed that I have not been in 3 years and then have to put up with what I did. I feel that American Mountain Rentals should make this right! My husband was upset and talked to a manager and all they would do is refund 75.00 out of over 574.00! I told the manager I would never stay with them again!!!...........I still feel they should make it right.....We are planning to bring the kids for spring break, but we will not be staying with them this time!!!! |

I was a little disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the cabin upon our arrival. There were numerous dead flies on each level and the refrigerator was empty but dirty. In addition, the glass shower doors in two of the bathrooms were broken and had to be handled carefully to avoid having them fall off. |

The hardwood and tile floors, as well as the kitchen and all bathrooms were spotless. There were some minor things that needed addressing, though. The trim on one of the steps going to the master suite was loose and caused a threat for tripping. This was a concern for my elderly parents. Also, the walls were scarred and in desperate need of paint, especially going to the lowest level of the house. The carpets also needed cleaning/replacing. We loved the porches & swings and the beautiful stone fireplaces! |

After speaking with the office we were given an air mattress. This was a twin size air mattress so the unit did not sleep the required number of people. |

Stayed for 4 days in July, 2009 We did have one problem with the unit. The AC unit in the master bedroom on the third floor shut down on the second day. We did not realize it until late in the day. Our daughter with a 10 week old baby had to move to the basement bedroom in order to get a good nights sleep. The problem was that a kill switch shut down the furnace fan located in the attic due to condensation of water in the overflow pan. When reported, maintenance promptly fixed the problem. The overflow line could not be cleared and will have to be cleared. We enjoyed our stay and appreciate the quality of service of your staff and hope to return in the near future. |
