Cabin was easy to find using directions rovided by the management staff. Everything was as advertised and very clean. Nice quiet secluded location. Even got to see a mama bear and her two cibs...WOW.

Great Time in the Mountains

The biggest complaint that we had is the parking issue. It seems that we were barely off the street, and the locals who lived up there would fly by at higher than needed speeds that would come close to hitting the car. The second issue we had is that the hot tub needed some maintenance, it worked enough, but some of the buttons did not work properly.Other than those two things we had a great time and enjoyed relaxing there.

There where two things that I was unhappy about. 1. WHen we got there the directions to the cabin where not very good. When I called the office for help no one there had ever been to the cabin. Thankfully there was a local that helped me find it. 2. There were roaches in the cabin.

THE CABIN WAS NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM PHOTOS PRINTED ONLINE. IT WAS PRETTY CLEAN. THE THING I DISLIKED THE MOST WAS THERE WERE NO BLINDS ON THE WINDOWS (EXCEPT BEDROOM). THERE WAS NO PRIVACY ESPECIALLY BEING RIGHT ON THE ROAD. THERE WEREN'T ANY CHAIRS ON THE SIDE PORCH TO SIT. THE OUTSIDE GRILL WAS DIRTY AND DID NOT WANT TO USE. IT WAS QUIET AND PEACEFUL EXCEPT FOR (I ASSUME) PEOPLE THAT LIVE THERE GOING BY FAST AND MOTORCYCLES FLYING BY.

The property was very clean and modern,i really don't have a complaint its really a preference. the place so 8 miles up the mountain therefore 8 miles down. the road was narrow and steep. it was very nerve racking just driving to the cabin. once you left the cabin you did not come back till evening because was a 20 min drive to your front door and another 20 min drive back. so when you left the cabin in the morning you didn't come back until you were ready to retire.We also noticed all the cabins around us did the same thing. We also missed a pool

Parking was terrible, cabin had major problems, bedroom downstairs, shower upstairs, furinture had holes worn in it, hot tub was yellow like it had never been drained and cleaned,dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, had to wash them and put them up. For a deadend street, traffic was terrible, cars just came flying down the road at all hours of the night. Also, most rental companies don't require to show up at the office to pick up keys, they are in the lock box when you get there and you return them to the lock box when you leave. Most rental places only charge 50 dollars for a pet fee, we had to pay and extra 150 dollars for two pets.

I WOULD OF LIKED TO SEEN BETTER COOKWEAR, AND THE DISHES TOOK OUT OF THE DISHWASHER BEFORE WE GOT THERE THEY SMELLED I HAD TO WASH THEM A FEW TIMES TO GET THE SMELL OUT OF THEM!!!! BUT OVER ALL IT WAS NICE A BIGGER SING ON THE HOUSE TO LET YOU KNOW WHAT IT WAS I PASTED IT A FEW TIMES LOOKING FOR IT. BUT WE HAD A GREAT TIME. THANK YOU

This was a wonderful vacation and I have nothing but great things to say! This was my first time seeing mountains and it was quite dynamic to stay in this cabin WAY up in the mountain! Although, the views were priceless. Everyone was extremely helpful and nice and I can't wait to one day return again!

We were very happy with the cabin and enjoyed our stay. The only thing we had trouble with was the jacuzzi. We tried to use it twice and both times ended up with a cold bath. The water heater seems too small for the cabin and we had a hard time even with the shower getting enough hot water. We appreciate you letting us rent the cabin and would recommend it to friends. We enjoyed our stay with American mountain rentals. The cabin looked a little larger online but we had plenty of space for just two. Everything was very clean when we arrived the only downfall was there was a faint cigarette smoke smell but it wasnt bad.

The secretary on duty the night we checked in told my husband that we would have to return the key to the office at 9:00 in the morning on the day of our departure because that was the only key to the cabin. We needed to leave around 5:00 in the morning to drive 9 hours home so we returned to the office a few days later and another secretary told my husband we could drop the key in the drop box. Also the directions given to us to get to our cabin were not correct. Street signs listed on the directions were non-existent and we had a very hard time finding our cabin in the dark because of the incorrect directions. I do plan to return to Tennesee and rent another cabin in the future but I will not be using this company.

My husband and I refuse to go anywhere without our "baby", a 10 year-old, 3 pound pomerainian. We were so happy to find a "pet friendly" cabin with American Mountain Rental. We had planned on doing several things while in the area but only left one time for only 4 hours. We just wanted to stay in the cabin. It was wonderful. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night. Our "baby" loved it too! We will be back again soon with American Mountain Rentals!

The cabin and accomadations were excellent. My only concern is for security. I noticed there were some low-income appartments around the corner from the cabin. A couple of tenants that I observed driving by the cabin seemed to be staring at us as they drove by. I thought they may be scoping us out. I also noticed that the cabins' rear door jam had been repaired. This made me concerned about our security.

Had problems with the hot tub from the start. It was orange from rust, put my arm in and it came out orange. Alot of (white chemicals?) floating in water and the drain in the tub was not took 4 or 5 phone calls to get it fixed right. At first they kept sending someone to add more chemicals which did not help at all. Finally after several complaints a manger called and said they were sending someone to drain the tub and refill it. That took care of most of the problem but a good scrubbing was really needed to get it done right. At first we kept being told it was the well water and nothing could be done. If I'm paying for a hot tub I would want to know in advance that we would not be able to use it because of the well. The water in the cabin was fine so I think it just needed a good cleaning. We did have a problem with the whirl tub, it didn't get half way full and ran out of hot water. We only tried to use it our last day there so we didn't say anything. On a good note the cabin was clean and comfortable.

The best vacation we could have possibly taken. It was wonderful. You can go at your own pace. You can make it as relaxing or adventurous as you'd like by staying in the cabin or taking part in any of the endless activities in the surrounding area. The cabin was very nice and has all the comforts of home. Of the many things the cabin has to offer we mostly enjoyed grilling, the hot tub, pool table, and log rockers on the deck. We also had a wonderful time checking out The Great Smoky National Park and Gatlinburg. The only minor issue: although the cabin is very nice and clean it smells of cigarettes which can be an issue for non-smokers. Other than that minor issue is was perfect!

I absolutely loved the cabin! It was very beautiful and clean. I wish I could've stayed longer. I didnt wanna leave! We did go out and do some things but had as much fun just hangin out at the cabin! I LOVED it and totally recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation or get-a-way!!

Not told about a non-refundable pet fee for a 6 lb. house trained dog. The cabin was listed as "pet friendly". There were no curtains on the door so everyone could see in and the ca bin is so small they could see you from the road anywhere in the cabin!!! No light on back porch so forgot the hot tub at night. No privacy!! The coffee table leg was glued on (not fixed). No offer of compensation when complaints given to management.

Overall we enjoyed the stay in the cabin. There were a couple of little things that would have improved the stay though. First, the buckets outside on the porch were full of cigarette butts when we arrived. Second, the hot water heater was not large enough to allow us to fill the indoor jacuzzi tub with hot water. By the time the tub is full, the water is very cold!!!
