Our quaint beach bungalows are inches from the ocean, with no roads between the rental and the beach! Right next to the bungalow there is a shared patio to enjoy with a barbecue, fire ring, large grass area, and sandbox for the kids, all with the beach as your backdrop! All the bungalows have been updated with crown molding, new carpet and paint. Each unit has its own kitchenette with a refrigerator and oven/stove. Kitchen utensils, towels, & linens are all provided. There is also a shared coin laundry room available. This unit has one very spacious bedroom.

NICE PROPERTY BUT NO A/C IN UNITS RICHARD T. from PHOENIX, ARIZONA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 The unit was nice and the location great but with no a/c it was not pleasant staying there. There is no ceiling fan in the bedroom and the little fans provided did not help at all. Even with the windows open, ceiling fan in living room and the 2 little fans going it was very very warm in the unit. Had to go outside to cool off at night.The unit had no dresser to put clothing and no place in bathroom to put anything. No rack in shower for soap/shampoo etc. The windows had a stick to keep them closed as the locks did not work. The television was very small, like watching a 13" monitor. There was no way to keep it up, so you could not use the round table to its fullest. The blinds on the front window needed to be repaired. Stayed for 5 days in October, 2011 I stayed in October as I prefer off-season travel so perhaps I would have stayed here anyway..but what initially sold me on this property was the special offer for October stays. A huge savings which only added to making my stay great. I love Oceanside and this property, located right on the coast, is well-maintained, clean, modern and comfortable. The common patio area is great with a beautiful view. There were few amenities that weren't provided (everything from beach towels to coffee filters were included). My only suggestions are to update the windows/screens/blinds as they are a little outdated and easily go off-track or are difficult to raise/lower. I had diificulty entering the unit when I first arrived and Susan came within minutes of my call to remedy the situation quickly (the original code that I was supplied with wouldn't work) and I didn't have any problems with the code after that.All in all 5 stars and I will definitely be back! Good Price, Good Location, No Counters, Small Shower Deborah K. from Phoenix, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 9 days in August, 2011 Enjoyed our stay and the place while small and an older building was very clean and had everything you need. The kitchen was challenging as there was no counter space -with the only counter having a microwave on it. There is plenty of space to add a cabinet or some other furnishing to provide both needed counter space and storage. The bathroom was actually quite large but with a pedestal sink, again there was no counter and with only one towel rack, finding a place to set things down or hang them up was a challenge. Finally the shower has a very small opening which if you are a large person requires squeezing through, once in it however, there is space, but seriously it looked to be an 18 in. opening. You can't beat the accessibility to the beach and the views from the shared patio area. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Also, downtown Oceanside has a very nice weekly street fair on Thursday evenings. OK, the more I write this the more I want to go back now. Thanks for a nice place to stay. |

Especially being right smack on the beach. Sleeping to the sound of the waves. The only thing I would add is additional blankets because we were a bit cold at night, even with the heater. In addition, there was no bedding for the fold out couch. Also, the front door was extremely difficult to open and I bruised my wrist trying to get the suction to break loose in order for it to open. Please look into this because you don't want someone breaking the door or glass in the process of trying to get it open. Otherwise, it was a perfect little condo, perfect parking and close to stores, food, gas, etc. We absolutely loved it and will most definitely be coming back. Charming inside and out! The kids loved running out to the ocean frequently and being able to come in for a warm shower as needed. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the surf each night. The location was perfect for us...we enjoyed being close to the Oceanside pier and marina (to take advantage of having brought our bikes) yet far enough to enjoy a little more seclusion and fewer people. The unit was well stocked with supplies. We were grateful for the binder that gave us a lot of fun ideas of places to visit. The agent we worked with was extremely courteous and personable. I was very impressed with the ease of making the reservation.We left a couple of minor suggestions for improvements on the survey form in the unit, but were very pleased overall. One side of the bed had a large dip in the mattress from one to many visitors, some of the dishes had left over crusty food on it (off to the store for paper products), it looked like cigarette holes in the sofa pillows which were cleaverly covered by the decorative pillows upon arrival, curb appeal, not very appealing. I mentioned prior to making the reservation that I am very particular and will care for a place as if it were my own, but I didn't feel that our visit was very important. I was afraid to unfold the hide a bed because I did not want to see something that would require us to go elsewhere. I am however very thankful for the steep discount we received because if we paid for the asking rate, I would have been very, very disappointed. Location isn't everything, but keeping my family safe and healthy is. We had a great time although we didn't spend a lot of time at our vacation home, but I don't know if I would choose beach front rentals only as the place to rent from regardless of how nice the place appears because if you can't care for a small place, how would a larger place turn out. The team at beach front rentals were great and very accomodating. If there was a reason for us to use beach front rentals it would be because of the friendly service I received from this group from day one. Thank you, I wish this comment could have been better. When we went there was some sort of weird ocean storm. The day we got there the beach was sandy right in front of the rental. That night I don't know what happened but the ocean brought in all kinds of small and huge rocks, and the next night as well. This meant that we were unable to enjoy the beach at this location. We had to go else where which was unfortunate, because this was the whole reason we wanted to rent on the ocean front. We also had a problem with the furnace and how to use it, but we finally figured it out. All in all we had a good stay and would probably return again at some point.Thanks! |

The location was incredible-just a few steps to the beach. I love bringing lots of comforts to the beach so this was awesome!! The rooms were plenty big enough for the kids to be able to play in the evening with their toys. We loved the fire pit and sand box in the common area. I used the laudry one day and found it to be adequate-loved that there was soap and dryer sheets!Some notes that I made were:High tide in March is for most of the later morning and into some of the afternoon. The beach cannot be accessed at that time. We just worked around it. There are other access points north or south. I could see the units being fairly warm during the summer, but in mid-March it would cool right down with the breeze after we came back from a day out. The pull out bed is worn at the end (breaking away from the springs), but my 2 small children had no problem as they didn't reach the end (2 adults might come through!). The property could use some more bars for hanging wet clothes. The bathroom is large;extra bars would make a big difference(even bars that could be set up for hanging). The kitchen could use a small pantry/storage. We ate in all but 1 of our 7 days and it was difficult to store some items. Finally, I would have loved a vacuum to control the tracking in of sand.Very little things--we would stay again! |

This unit was very clean and so close to the ocean it was wonderful, the unit does need some work for summer visits and general Mary H. from Phoenix, AZ recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2009 The unit itself was charming and clean which was delighful! The staff was so helpful it is second to non. However, the unit was very warm and had no ceiling fans. The only fan was a very small floor fan that did not do to much good. The windows did not slide well and did not lock but they did provide the vice locks for most of the windows. Many units had screen doors, this unit did not so you had to open both doors to get air in the unit and people would look in as they were walking by. There was only the one TV in the living room and it was very small along with only a couch and no other places for a person to sit. Regardless, I would encourage people to use this rental company, they are so great. They took the time to explain the rental agreement to me, answered all my questions and were very patient with me. I plan to use them for our next vacation but this time I will look for a unit that has air or at least ceiling fans and screen doors. |

My brother and I, along with our families, helped our parents celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We rented units 3 and 4. My parents styed in the one-bedroom, and the other two families stayed in the two-bedroom. (Can't remember which unit number is which.) Interior of unit was fine. Be aware that the units face right on the dead-end of a street with public beach access. So there will be a fair amount of foot traffic near your front door. If you like meeting other people, you will have the opportunity. Regardless, you will spend most of your time on the beach. Oceanside Pier is a nice walk to the north. |

They are surrounded by much nicer buildings. The condition of the shower in the bathroom was like being in a 3rd world country. Yuck!The furniture (bed, couch, tables and chairs) were typical motel stuff. They have torn up half of the units and this is another eye sore. The only saving grace is the location, on the beach for some of the units. I will not stay here again but look forward to what is being built on the other half. I also felt that the management company should have been more unfront about how old these look! Property Manager Response: We are going through reviews and wanted to give you an update. All of the 835 units have been redone, interior and exterior, with new paint, carpet, crown molding, and kitchen counters, and there has also been a a communal area added with lawn, patio, gas barbecue and fire-ring. If you ever are thinking of a beach vacation again, I invite you to check out our new properties and perhaps consider us again.
