Jim W. from Saint Helena Island, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in May, 2016 We were there for a wedding and all was perfect---our condo, the setting for a beach wedding, and everything else.
A guest from Placida, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in April, 2016 A great place for a family vacation and far away from the usual spring break crowds in Florida. Biking, tennis, swimming, fishing, and walking on the quiet beaches make this a perfect place for our family.
Cindy F. from Pompano Beach, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2015 Everyone was wonderful and helpful. Marty was great and picked the perfect unit for us. The unit was gorgeous and extremely clean. The weather was perfect, thank you Lord and the neighbors were welcoming and fun. Can't wait to go back!
A guest from lakeland, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 We had a wonderful time at Palm Island Resort as always. Our villa was perfect in so many ways. For the children, we took advantage of all the Red Beard experiences and weren't disappointed! We enjoyed dinner at Rum Bay several times and found lots of treasures in the gift shop. PI is the perfect family getaway!
Wonderful - Our 7th visit but a little dissapointed!
Lisette D. from Coral Gables, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2014 As always Palm Island Resort has been a family favorite. We have taken our two daughters there off & on since they were 6 & 7. They are now 21 & 23. My husband and I love the relaxation, the beauty the island feel and lifestyle It is all good. We've seen the resort evolve you could say since 1997. My disappointed this visit was the following; The unit above was apparently was being remodeled, Monday at 8 am what sounded like a demolition crew began pounding and pounding all day every day Monday thru Friday. It was unbearable and impossible to sleep in on our vacation past 8 am. The unit was nice but the beds are old and extremely rough sleep. My back is currently out. I am sad to report this because I have never been disappointed in the past. Everyone that works at Palm Island Resort are very friendly and hospitable with the exception of the Coconut Rentals/coffee shop staff. Very rude and I avoided going there as much as possible.
A guest from Saint Petersburg, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2014 Each year our vacation to Palm Island gets better! Our six year old son has the most fun exploring the island and collecting sharks teeth at Stumps Pass! We will be back again and hopefully before next year.
Christina S. from Kihei, HI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 I had a wonderful time on Palm Island visiting with friends and family. The Superior two bedroom that we stayed in was nice but needed a few upgrades in my opinion to be considered a high level room. The refridgerator was old and the ice machine did not work well. Also, the beds were just okay. The staff was friendly but misspelled my name and never fixed it. Also, they sent my receipt and this review to the wrong email address. My mother had to forward it to me.
Rita S. from Yellow Springs, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2014 WE were looking for someplace on the beach to relax and recover for myself and my husband since a recent emergent surgery for hi. Our Palm Islanad experience was exactly what we both needed and the perfect time. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to enjoy.
Eric F. from Lemont, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in February, 2014 1. My wife and I spent 5 nights at Palm Island in Feb2014. A really great vacation. We will be back.2. Unit was very clean, well appointed, and comfortable. We had a lower unit. Views from inside the unit were great, especially from the MBR. Huge sliding glass doors onto screened patio from both living area and MBR. 3. Kitchen well equipped. I cooked a lot during our stay. Ice maker worked great. 4. Very short walk to beach...maybe 200ft thru low dunes. Very nice pool close too, hot tub was very HOT which is nice since sooo many resorts keep their hot tubs too cool. Next to pool area was the common grilling area (no grills at units). 5 Gas Grills were clean, in excellent condition and worked great. I used them daily.5. Our unit did not have a deck. Screened patio yes. We would have opted for a unit with a deck. A small disappointment. If a deck is important choose carefully.6. The Fitness Center is OK at best. Equipped with some older aerobic machines, a set of dumbbells to 40 pounds, one bench, and an older multi-station weight machine. The space is ok size wise but dark, no big windows. On vacation I like to work out extra hard since I have lots of time, and this fitness center will be a disappointment for anyone who wants a great workout facility available while on vacation. Just barely good enough. When you check-in make sure you ask for a gym key.7. Not all units have internet connection or WiFi. Ours did not. I needed it for professional reasons, inside our unit Verizon signal was spotty and slow for internet use. This was a pain. Recommend you get a Wifi unit if you need the web frequently. There is a hot-spot at the cafe, but if you need frequent use you will want a unit with WiFi.We thought the ferry would be a pain, but it is very efficient. About a 3 min ferry ride (really.. that close) and they run continuously. It was a pleasant ride and not a detractor at all. They run until 1100pm. Guests get free passes for 2 vehicl
A guest from KENNENBUNK, ME recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2013 Palm Island is a place to travel for relaxation, outdoor fun and to enjoy family and friends. So many wonderful things to do from walking the gorgeous beach to renting kayaks and exploring the inlets. Our daughter has grown up going to the island and even with all the changes it is her favorite spot to visit. Manatees, dolphins, herons, turtles, and tons of beautiful shells. The staff is very helpful and having Rum Bay Restaurant right there is a plus. Each Villa is a little different but very efficient for cooking or just reading and relaxing. Great that you can also do laundry if staying for a while. Always on our vacation list!
Lisa C. from Treasure Island, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 We had a wonderful time on Palm Island. Our villa was beautiful, the golf cart was fun, water taxi to Leverock's was a must...had dolphins jumping in the boat's wake! Everyone was really helpful and friendly. We plan to go back and enjoy it again sometime.
A guest from Dunedin, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2013 Palm Island was great! We celebrated our parents 50th anniversary there. We enjoyed the beach, the fishing and the beauty of Palm Island. Everything was easy! Each family had there own condos and everyone was comfortable. Our condos had everything we needed and plenty of room for all of us to have meals together. The views from everyone's condos were AMAZING!!! Thank you for great service. Please enjoy beautiful Palm Island, it is a real gem!
Rolanda S. from Clearwater, Florida recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in June, 2013 We had a wonderful time in villa 2911. The location was perfect and the home was beautiful. We came for the fishing and were not disappointed. The food at Rum Bay was great and the water taxi to Leverocks was a perfect add on to a long day. The staff was also very helpful and pleasant. We will be back!
Leigh Ann H. from south Shore, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 My husband, mother, and I stayed at Palm Island last month and it was absolutely beautiful. The beaches weren't crowded and it was very quiet, relaxing, and secluded. My only complaint is that having to take the car ferry to the island is kind of a pain. You always have to be worried about getting back in time to get back on the Island or you might be locked out! The worst part was that we were supposed to stay 5 nights, but when we went to checkout the night before our flight left, we were told we had to arrange with the ferry service to pick us up in time to catch our flight. This was going to cost $150! We ended up having to pack up quickly the night before and get a hotel room that was half the price of the ferry the next morning. It was sad to have to leave early and pay for a hotel room when we paid for 5 nights at Palm Island. Overall, though, a very relaxing, beautiful stay that I would be thrilled to take my family to again.
Sheila T. from Lawerenceville, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2012 We come to Palm Island every September and love it!The unit we stayed in is in need of updating. The bell hops are great! So much better than they used to be.The people at the front desk both checking in and out were wonderful. We will be back.
did not stay in beach villa, stayed in Palm island villa 2911
Robert H. from Lutz, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2012 very nice except villa was not up to par, kitchen was horrible, rusty stove, floor lifting and in all needs updated and renovated. great view and bed was comfy will not stay in this villa again but will definitely be back. Staff wonderful.
A guest from Sarasota, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2012 I took 10 employess from work and we rented two units. they were in a wonderful location and spotless. Rum Runner restaurant is very very good. We enjoyed our stay just wished it was longer
Jennifer W. from Wellington, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2012 Palm Island is, by far, Florida's best kept secret!!! All we could keep saying was "This is unreal!" Its certainly a magical place, making you feel a million miles away all while staying in Fl. It's the perfect family vacation spot, and we've already been planning our next trip back since our first day! Thank you for a wonderful family memory!
PAULA S. from ORLANDO, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2012 The property we rented was in very poor condition, the master shower was broken upon arrival the guest bathroom was inoperable due to water from upstairs unit leaking through ceiling & fixture VERY UNSAFE Refridgerator leaking on floor daily had to clean water fron inside & outside. Power & water out for hours
Edward M. from Ballwin, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in June, 2012 We stayed 2 nights and had a very relaxing and peaceful time. The island and the staff were perfect! We felt like we were the only people on the island and truly appreciated the privacy!! We plan on coming back and staying a week. Thank YOU ALL Palm Island Staff for making our trip a dream come true!!
Lorraine S. from LUTZ, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in May, 2012 Even though we have a beach condo in Madeira Beach,we still enjoy coming to the resort. We have been coming to Palm Island for over 10 years. It is always a wonderful! The resort is beautiful. The landscaping is always green. The units are set up nicely with all of the items that you'd need for food preparation. We are already booked for next year!
A guest from North Port, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2012 Staff did not inform us how the resort was run. You only get one pass per day to leave the island, which is by barge, if you need to leave more frequently it is $55! There is only one restaurant on the island and the service was terrible. You really need to rent a golf cart while your there because there are no vehicles allowed. This is another $50 per day! The beach was beautiful and secluded. The beach villa was also quite nice. The staff was very uninformative, you have to discover things as you go. If you go be prepared to be isolated from civilization and groceries/shopping.
Megan B. from Sarasota, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 1 days in December, 2011 Came for just one night after having a credit from a previous stay. The kitchen was missing basic items, shower didn't work at all in one bathroom and barely had any water pressure in the other, no hair dryers in either. Not up to par for a vacation rental
Cindy B. from Brookville, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in August, 2011 We very much enjoyed our stay. The unit had an awesome view, the staff was outstanding, the beaches were perfect. You could pick up shell by the millions or watch the dolphins. The on island restaurant was lovely - and had a nice menu. The wine and cheese basket was a nice touch. The unit's kitchen was nicely equipped and the linens and towels were nice quality. My only advice is to let the guests know about the ferry charges ($55) and whether or not they are included in the stay, and the mattress in our unit was horrible - like plywood and box springs!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning many times. The unit was beautiful. Carpet had some bad stains but
A guest from Philidalphia, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in July, 2011 My only limitation is getting to the property. It is just a little longer than I like to drive from an airport (Ft Myers for direct flights from PHL). If I were coming for 4-5 days, it would not be a problem.
DIANE R. from Port Charlotte, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 1 days in April, 2010 Our stay was fantastic and Frank the bell boy was very helpful and a great kid. I would only suggest that they replace the carpets. They had stains and they may consider going to tile.
A guest from Toronto, Ont recommends this property. Stayed for 14 days in March, 2010 It's the type of place that allows you to be at one with nature.Long walks on the beach, shelling, reading and relaxing. Not a place if you need alot of action. If you like peace and quite and total tranquility, Palm Isalnd is Paradise Found!
A guest from Oldsmar, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2009 The villa we stayed in needed some work but it was a comfortable stay. Palm Island is one of our favorite vacation places and we'll deinitely be back next year!

DESMOND G. from CHELMSFORD, ESSEX recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in August, 2008 This is our fourth visit to Palm Island Resort and we had another very enjoyable and restful vacation. We had what proved to be a minor interruption of TS Fay in the middle of our stay, but we were moved to a Harbourtown unit in good time, which we were pleased about given that we were stranded on the island for 2 days without power in our 2005 visit. We were well-informed before the event. Our only complaint was that we were put up in a one-bedroomed suite, which proved quite cramped for the 2 nights that we ended up being housed there and had no contact afterwards to confirm it was ok to return - we eventually took it upon ourselves to return. We requested and received the same unit as in our last visit, which was pleasing and it was in similarly good condition as we had seen in 2006. We have several enjoyable meals in the Rum Bay restaurant and were well-served and also had similarly good experience in Johnny Leverocks on the night of the storm. We used the kayaks on a couple of occasions and have an enjoyable couple of hours watching dolphins. We also hired tennis rackets and had fun playing tennis, though the surface of the tennis court opposite our unit was badly cracked and in need of attention.Overall we had another throughly enjoyable stay on Palm Island and would continue to recommend it strongly to friends and colleagues looking for a true get away from it all vacation.
A guest from LUTZ, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2008 Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It forces you to relax and enjoy just spending quality time with eachother. The property is well kept, the staff is pleassant and the beach is beautiful!
