Vacation Cabin Rental Description:
ALL CABINS HAVE A STANDARD $250 REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT, A HOUSEKEEPING FEE AND ROOM TAX IN ADDITION TO THE RENT. 2 Night Minimum; Dec 16 - Jan 3. Sleeps up to 8 people. In the first bedroom there is a king size bed, the second bedroom has a queen and the third is a loft bedroom with 2 twin beds, a full size sleeper sofa as well as a full size futon. Available are childrens games and videos, air hockey table, a Texas Hold'em card table, pool table, TV/VCR/DVD and comcast basic cable, stereo, cassette player. For outside fun check out the Blue Lake Springs Pool or tennis courts. If you prefer golf Sequoia Woods Country Club is just down the street. This cabin has central heat, air conditioning and a wood burning stove. If you just want to relax, enjoy the private deck. Additional fees required for rec center use.

Only for those looking to be secluded. Matthew P. from York, PA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2012 Not much happening in the area at all. Only recommended to large parties or groups of people who can entertain themselves without any additional attractions in the area. There is endless lakes, hiking, biking, horseback riding, swimming, golfing, fishing, Big Trees state Park, the list goes on and Not sure why these guests were unable to find things to do, the adventures are endless in the sierras. |

Chalet Famiglia - More Than Expected Robert M. from Daly City, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2011 Super-friendly staff. The cabin can be a bit tricky to find without GPS mapping, but it is not impossible. The cabin itself was fantastic. The description on the Sierra Vacation Rentals website does not do it justice, as you actually get far more than what is described (plates, utensils, propane BBQ grill, laundry room, towels, and more). I do wish the cabin had an HDTV. I almost brought one myself along with an Xbox 360 to entertain my party, but there was no more room in my car. |

Clean, basic lodging in a beautiful location.... A guest from Fairfield, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in July, 2011 This property was a bit more rustic than others we had stayed in. It was adequate, but not quite as large or as luxurious as previous vacation rentals we have stayed at in the area (as it was high season, it was the closest to our needs I could find for the dates we needed - and it worked, just another full bathroom, etc. would have been great). Also, what is up w/ the Christmas tree (in July)?! Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals Each of our cabins hava a different feel to it. We keep photographs up on our site to show people what the home looks like. When renting somebody elses home we respect the design decisions the owners make. One person may not like the atmosphere and another will think it is heaven. So many of our guests will try one cabin one year and then try another. |

The hot tub, the main reason we chose this house, was so dirty we couldn't use it. and the rest of the house was just eh.the owner manual was not helpful, and their editorial about using their wireless service was very off putting (sort of deranged paranoid stuff).While the Big Trees staff were friendly when we were arranging the rental, the place was so disappointing i would never use it again. Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals This cabin is liked by many. Too bad these guests did not call us if there was a problem with the hot tub during their stay. The hot tub does have a regular service and it would have been easy to get someone out to resolve the problem. The service man was called out to make sure everything is functioning properly, and it is. |

Sharpie writing on virtually everything? Labels stating the obvious?I half expected to open the utensil drawer and have a chain attached making sure something was not taken. I respect the idea they value there property as do we.This is my first rental in Arnold so maybe that is how they all are. If I owned a rental I would trust the system more and if something was broken or taken expect the renter to take responsibility. We enjoyed our stay but felt all the signs and labels and the overall condition of virtually everything did not merit the excessive signage. Before I rent again I am going to ask much more detail on the condition of the rental. They did this to help the tenants find the items they needed in the kitchen not because they were worried something was going to be taken. This property is well taken care of by the owners, I guess this was just not the cabin for these guests. This cabin is enjoyed by many guests with a good number of them returning yearly for another visit. |

I would rent this again. EILEEN M. from FAIRFAX, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in September, 2010 I really loved the cabin. The bed in the master bedroom was the most comfortable bed I have slept on away from home. Plenty of room and the air hockey was fun. I really felt like I was in the mountains there. It was pretty hard to find. The map from the rental agency was key.I was not thrilled with having to bring my own linens and towels (kitchen and bath). They took up a lot of room in the car. And we had to make the beds and make sure everything was clean or risk being charged a fee. I guess I'm just used to doing less work at that price. With that said, it was really cute and I would rent it again. Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals Linens and towels are available at this cabin but for a additional cost. Our cabin prices are very competitive and for renting a home very affordable. We do not feel our checklist before departure is unrealistic. We expect out guests to leave the cabin they rented in the same condition they received it. Our housekeepers can then go in and sanitize the bathrooms, floors, counters, etc. This is a great cabin well liked by our guests. I am glad these guests enjoyed it. |
