ALL CABINS HAVE A STANDARD REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT, A HOUSEKEEPING CHARGE AND 6% CALAVERAS COUNTY TAX IN ADDITION TO THE RENT. 3 Night Minimum; Dec 16 - Jan 3. Location is only part of this great vacation cabin in the mountains featuring a quiet setting in the trees with a level access. This 2-story cabin has a cozy living room with wood burning stove, well stocked kitchen without dishwasher, dining area, 4 bedrooms, and 3 baths. Down stairs has 2 bedrooms, each with a king size bed ( one room has a TV). Upstairs has 2 bunk beds ,a full size bed and a sleeper sofa. Master bedroom has a king size bed and a tv with comcast TV & VCR located in this large room. Great for kids. High chair and playpen available. Washer/dryer, microwave, TV, VCR, Propane BBQ*LIMIT 12**NO PETS**NO SMOKING*

A Nice Place to Stay A guest from Rocklin, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2013 The house itself was nice, but the problem was with the checking in process. We got to Arnold late and were told to just get the packet from outside the door of the realtor's office. Well the website calls the company Sierra Vacation Rentals. We drove around for over an hour looking, in the dark, trying to find Sierra Vacation Rentals. In the end, it turns out that they also go by Big Trees Realty. We finally found that location only to find that we needed a combination to get into the lockbox for the packet of info and keys. We wrote down the emergency phone number on the top, and then had to drive around town to find a pay phone since our cell phones don't work up there. At that time, we were finally definitely taken care of, and Dan was very sweet and gave us the combo and directions to the cabin (which we hadn't been able to find with GPS or Googlemaps) In the end, it worked out and we all got there, after my niece had gotten to the cabin, noticed we hadn't gotten there yet, so she went to the realtor's office,only to find that we had already gotten the packet in the meantime. So it was a real fiasco getting there, but once we were all there and settled, we had a wonderful time, and the cabin was great. Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals These guests obviously did not read their late arrival information on their rental contract nor the arrival instructions and directions to our office that we send to all of our guests prior to arrival. It sounds like they needed better communication with their extended party. Glad they enjoyed their stay and made it to the cabin safely. We are always available at our emergency number when our guests need assistance. |

Spacious place with lots of bedding (4 king beds!). Was disappointed with the stove, original installation (antiquated) with only one of the four burners that would work. |

No heat! Virginia S. from Lafayette, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2010 None of the wall heaters worked. The stove was not suitable for heating the house. The dishwasher was full of dishes. The house was not immaculate (mold in bathrooms, etc). Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals Sure wish this tenant had called our office if they couldn't get the wall heaters working during their stay. They are working fine, looks like the breaker had snapped off. No indication of mold in the bathrooms. |
