ALL CABINS HAVE A STANDARD REFUNDABLE SECURITY DEPOSIT, A HOUSEKEEPING CHARGE AND 6% CALAVERAS COUNTY TAX IN ADDITION TO THE RENT. 3 Night Minimum; Dec 16 - Jan 3. A level access to this beautiful mountain chalet with all the amenities. Very secluded and quiet area. Large living area with cathedral ceilings and lots of windows. 2 bedrooms on main level 1 has a full size bed, the other is across the hall with a queen size bed, large loft (3rd bedroom) with a King Size bed, plus small loft (sitting & sleeping area), and 2 full baths. Woodburning stove in living room and forced air heating. One bedroom has a queen bed. Second bedroom has a double bed. Large loft area has a king bed, air hockey game, cable TV & VCR/DVD. Sitting area has a queen sofabed and 2 chairs for relaxing. Cable TV, VCR & stero w/cassette in living room. Kitchen is equipped with dishwasher, microwave, Jenn-Aire and electric oven/range. Washer/dryer and charcoal BBQ, sleeps 8

Our Stay at the Marshall cabin 2/19 & 2/20 A guest from San Jose, CA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2011 The cabin was well maintained. The only issue we have is that the furnace did not work well, it only got up to 55. However management brought in a couple of heaters to help keep the cabin warm. Over all we had a great time. Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals This cabin does have a wood burning stove that heats the cabin to a toasty temperature. Plenty of wood at this cabin to burn. In the mountains, a second source of heat is a must should the power go down. The furnace has since been repaired. Staff went to the cabin and started a warm fire for them and did bring heaters when they notified us of the malfunction of the furnace. |

3rd Time at Cabin & Very Disappointed, Poor Customer Service by Prop. Mgmt A guest from San Jose, CA does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in February, 2010 1st time (many years ago) the cabin was great. 2nd time cabin needed some minor maintenance, things replaced, not super clean but tollerable. 3rd time the cabin was dirty (hair in bathroom, oven & microwave dirty, dishes dirty), but most importantly the heater didn't work & property manager never came back or contacted us after looking at it. The response that was originally given to us was that we could have burned wood in the fire place/stove to keep warm at night. After a full day of snow activities, you wouldn't want to stay up all night feeding the fire place. Not exactly a vacation & not sure what the property manager was thinking! The property management firm collects a cleaning fee as part of the rental so you would think that you would be getting a clean cabin. This property management company isn't very concerned about customer service. Property Manager Response: Response from Big Trees Vacation Rentals It was arranged to have the forced air heater repaired. Because of the holiday weekend it was unable to be repaired that day. This Customer was offered when they complained about the cleaning to have someone come out and clean the cabin again to their liking, but refused. There was a wood burning fireplace as a backup heat source which keeps this cabin very comfortable. This cabin is enjoyed by many returning customers. They wouldn't return if they didn't like it. |
