The main cottage has a kitchen/living area and a loft with a great view of Sand lake. Great swimming can be enjoyed from the front dock while your boat is protected int the bay at the dock at the back of the cottage.
Jones Falls Locks can be visited by boat where there are historical sites, restaurants, a gift shop, a working blacksmith's shop, and swimming to be explored.
The Rideau Canal is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and was rated #2 as an exceptional historic site destination by National Geographic.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, area events, and lots more!

Motor-boat is available for rent with cottage for $200.
Cottage is located on Meow Island on Sand Lake, on the historic Rideau Canal. On Sand lake you have access to a public beach, a public boat-launch, Glover's Marina and two lock stations (Davis Lock and Jones Falls Locks). At Jones Falls there are historic sites, including a museum, five lock levels, and a working blacksmith's shop, as well as public swimming (from the locks), lodging and restaurants.
