It was actually closer to the ocean than we originally thought it was, which was a very pleasant surprise.The appliances were in good working condition and the bathrooms were fine. The only changes were in the bathroom closest to the ocean, I would have liked to have had all the light bulbs above the sink be the same type so the lighting was more consistent. Also, it appeared the bathroom window needed some repairs.The beds & furniture were comfortable and in good condition.Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to stay in the unit again or recommend it to others. |

The amenities in the unit were fabulous. Being out of town we had no beach would have been nice to actually sit on the sandy shore of the ocean in a comfortable chair. I have told every person I know that I would highly recommend this unit. It was clean, comfortable and had all the amenities including an amazing ocean view. The only thing missing for our needs were beach chairs. We found some beautiful beaches close by, and had beautiful sunsets every night. The first time around we stayed at resorts, but this time we chose a condo. A301 at Hololani was very nicely renovated, comfortable and has a great view of the ocean. It was nice to have the full kitchen and washer and dryer with a little one. It also had a few essentials such as a home phone with local number, beach items and kitchen appliances ... who can go somewhere tropical without a blended drink! My hubby grumbled when he didn't find A/C but the rooms stayed surprisingly cool. A great family choice! |

It is close to a small shopping area, Dolly's pizzeria for those late night snacks and overall very quiet in the evenings. Most lights are out by 10 p.m., so not a place to party at. there is some road noise in MBDR. but the window can be closed and the room still stays cool with the overhead fan. The couch bed is not usable but the rest of the furniture is okay. The mgmt. and cleaning staff were excellent and helpful. The apt. has all the appliances, etc. you could need during your stay. I would recommend this unit to a friend. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we will be back. |

I will say and hope that it is known...I will greatly miss the manager (Mike ). He is always very on top of things and very professional. His attention to DETAIL was appreciated,every year we have visited. I had heard that he will no longer be working at Hololani. I hope he will be given an outstanding reference with his departure from this position. FYI, a big draw for us to choose Hololani again is due to familiar faces/ staff. --Annually Recurrent Guests. |

Last few days we were there, elevator was dirty with construction materials and floors were closed one at a time and guests were told to walk to another floor. I think they should have waited to have the work done in an off peak period. |
