We really enjoyed our stay at the Elk Spring Resort cabin.The accomandations were perfect! The cabin was clean and the furnishing and decorations were beautiful. We loved the view and enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the birds.We also appreciated the WIFI,so we could check messages and receive phone calls if we were needed. We enjoyed cooking on the gas grill. It was so nice to cook some meals and be close enough to eat some meals out.We loved the location because it was close to the local merchants with so many handcrafted items to see and purchase.We loved the local people. They were very friendly and inviting. It was nice that downtown Gaitlinburg was close family enjoyed the weekend so much that we would love to visit again. We would also recommend this resort to friends and family. Thanks so much for a great vacation.

In the past I have generally wanted to revisit vacation locations like Florida, Hawaii, or Tennessee. It is rare for myself that the "hotel room" makes me want to come back to the same place for accommodation. Honestly if the entire state was snowed in and we were forced to stay inside the cabin, my trip would have still been great.

great time great views nice hot tub outside in the rain, rain shower two story high and amazing water pressure, two fireplaces easy to work just a switch. Driveway on this one a little difficult to back out of, recommend turning around and not backing out.

It is a very nice cabin, however; the lack of a master bathroom was not expected and the master bedroom was cramp with the bathtub and very small bath sink all in the same room. It may be time to replace the bed as it sags, and a larger TV in the master bedroom would be a nice touch.

Upon entering was extremely pleased and surprised at the size & appearance. Very quiet and secluded area, had to go down a few gravel roads (??) and once in the driveway area it took a bit to orient your vehicle to get out or back UP a gravel incline. We had great weather so the use of the deck & hot tub was enjoyable, no porch covering for the entire outside area of the cabin. The only thing missing was a view from the bedrooms....but, a fabulous rain shower.

Wonderful stay. There are a lot of places on the Internet that look good online but look completely different in person. Secluded Garden was not one of these places. What we saw online was what we got. The place was semi private and the cabin itself was great. It was clean and taken care of. Only wish sewers still there. Great stay will be sure to come back. 5+ Stars.

Very nice cabin deck could use a little maintence. But overall a good turn around in driveway was in extended cab pickup had to back out but its no big deal for me might be for some though could turn small car around though. Had a good time nice place to stay and relax

I would not even be able to offer suggestions for improvement-- everything was perfect! Check in process was simple, staff was attentive and helpful, and most of all, the property was beautiful and well maintained. We plan to return in the future and would highly recommend Elk Springs to friends and family.

Very nice property. In a development and while you pass several nice looking homes to get to the property, you are pretty secluded (at least during summer with leaves on the trees). Pictures are quite representative. Six people (2 kids on pull out sofa) were comfortable. Washer/dryer came in quite handy.Only downside is that there were not a lot of dishes (enough for six but we did dishes after every meal) and hairdryers were not supplied (we have become used to hotels providing them and did not think of bringing one). Neither were real big issues.

Exceeded our expectations.When we arrived and entered the cabin we all had smiles from ear to ear. The cabin was very comfortable and well maintained. I was a little paranoid about how clean the cabin would be, but I was put at ease after my inspection, the cabin was spotless. Both mattresses in both rooms were quite comfortable, every mornining you had to drag everyone out of bed, including myself. However, the master bedroom mattress still was quite comfortable although the center wasn't quite as firm. Even with this minor imperfection. The overall experience was impressive.

Me and my family decided to stay at the Secret Garden because of the gorgeous pics on website. The shower tower was amazing but that was it. It was very hot outside at the beginning of July 2012 in the Gatlinburg area. Temps were upper 90's to 100. Inside the cabin at night was 84 degrees. During the day it was up to 86 at its highest inside. We were confined to the bedrooms for any relief. That is not a way to spend your vacation with your family. Called the management and was told that they would send someone to make sure the ac was working properly and that they have had this complaint in the past. Was told to look in closets for plug in fans. I saw them and used them for the first and second night. They did not do any good. Called management after the second night of sweating while we slept and asked if anything was found wrong with the ac? I was told that the ac was working properly. Finally at 6pm on our last night we were being moved to another cabin in the same area. We did appreciate management moving us but at that point it didn't make a difference. I wish they could of moved us earlier or even at reservations let us know that the cabin was hot in the summer especially when they have had complaints in the past with it. Wonderful property but really don't know if I will stay with elk springs again. I paid too much for what we got. My family has stayed at hidden mountain, cabin fever, Jackson mountain homes and some others and this was the first problems we have had. We liked the area and the cabins but could not put up with the heat.

Keeping in mind that you are staying in the woods...there were a lot of insects in cabin (i.e. wasps, millipedes, flying ants). We do have very high standards for cleanliness, but when you are paying $350 a night we did expect a lot. Shower in master bedroom could have been cleaner. Kitchen table was sticky. Air conditioner could not keep cabin cool during the hottest part of the day. The outdoor temp was 104, but when we went to bed that night the cabin was 86, even though the air conditioner was running non stop. No relief until next day. There were a lot of amenities in this cabin and it was nice and peaceful. Elk Springs staff was very friendly....although we only had a few brief contacts with them. Oh and directions to cabin were wrong. You need to go to 2nd flashing light off of Glades Rd to find Powdermill Dr., not the first as the directions stated. Needless to say, that caused some confusion.

The staff ultimately made things right by switching us to a great cabin, Mountain Laurel and adding a free night. Secret Garden has an inadequate A/C system considering its windows and how they are exposed to the sun. It is wrong to continue to rent this place out when the management knows about the problems and does nothing to fix it. Every day, the temperatures got up to 83 degrees (even though the temperature was set at 70)in the cabin between the hours of 3 and 8 pm. Fix this or don't rent this cabin out to unsuspecting travelers.

This was our 25th wedding anniversary trip. We choose Secret Garden because of the ammenities. We were not disappointed. I think this was the best cabin we have ever stayed in. Everything was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and decorated so nice. The little touches added so much. The people were wonderful and great to deal with. I would definately recommend this company to anyone! Thank you for helping to make our 25th anniversary vacation memorable!

Bed was broke and mattress was horrible, mant. had to come and fix the bed very dirty under the bed. pool table sides were loose, sofa upstairs was very uncomfortable, when you sit in it you just slid out in the floor, when we called the office to report it I felt like the person was rude and just really didn't believe us or just didn't want to be bothered with the problems going on. This is why I didn't want to reply to survey. We are not complainers, but we were not happy with the stay nothing like the other times we stayed. I will say the maint. guy did the best he could to fix the situations and we appreicated him for that. So sad because we really have enjoyed elk in the past.

Property location and cabin was beautiful! However, the kitchen was filthy ie...appliances were dirty.Kitchen floors were dusty, dirty as well as common areas floors. Areas rugs were dirty. Pull out mattress was so bad, it left mattress springs marks on your back- maintenance was called to ask if they can replace but never heard back. The fireplace pilot went out on main floor. Maintanence Relit pilot. Fireplace in master bedroom was nonfunctional-maintanence waiting for replacement part. Was unable to use during our stay. Very limited supplies and towels offered, so we had to buy our own supplies and was our own towels after a couple of uses. At a cost of $290.00 per night, one would expect better accomodations for their guests.

The house looked nice at first but the first night the upstairs fireplace did not work and the heat went out in the middle of the night. The second night I found a bottle filled with what appeared to be urine in the closet and the upstairs fireplace quit working again. The third night we found out that the fireplace in the master bedroom did not work and that the grill had a stripped knob. Besides these things that seemed to be overlooked by maintenance and the cleaning staff the stay was ok.

Hi Daniel, 1 or 2 times a year we have problems with the natural gas provided by the county. It can be dirty. When it happens we have to come in and clean the fireplaces. It really only happens 1 or 2 times per year, if at all, but when it does it is unexpected and we have to come in and clean the safeties on the fireplaces. We're sorry this happend during your stay and it is unlikely to happen again. I am glad we were able to respond quickly when it did happen to resolve the problem.

This was our second time staying at Elk Springs Resort, this time we stayed in the Secret Garden cabin. Again we could not have been happier with our stay. The condition and cleanliness of this cabin is first rate. Looking at the picture online it seems almost to good to be true but it's better in person. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need to cook a great meal. We used the hot tube just about every night and while there are other cabins around you still have the privacy. While there is plenty to do in the area with downtown Gatlinburg, wine trail, golf, hiking and much more you could spend your whole vacation in this cabin and have a great time. I highly recommend this cabin and we will be back to Elk Springs Resort again and again.

We had a wonderful stay at the Secret Garden! Check-in and check-out were painless, and Elk Springs was even able to accommodate a couple extra nights so we didn't have to leave so soon!The cabin is amazing! It definitely lived up to our expectations! Both bedrooms are cozy. All the furniture is comfortable. The fireplaces were stunning! The hot tubs are nice, and the giant rain shower was definitely a hit! We made full use of the nicely appointed kitchen and loved the big gas grill on the back porch. We thoroughly enjoyed all the cabin's amenities!Our only complaints are that one of the fireplaces stopped working a couple days before we left. This was only a minor inconvenience since we didn't even bother to call maintenance until we were leaving. The second item is that those big beautiful windows leave one feeling a little... exposed... at night since there aren't any curtains or shades on them. Some remote-control shades would be helpful.Nevertheless, we had a fantastic stay, and Elk Springs Resorts helped to make our honeymoon unforgettable!!! Thank you!!!

The unit was beautiful and very clean. The gas fireplaces did not work, which was disappointing. We called maintenance but did not stay there all day so they could call us back, and we were only there two nights. The master bedroom needs a new mattress (sagging). The rain shower was very cool!

Hi Joe, we did have a problem with the safety shut offs on the fireplaces. The gas from the county had some residue in it which ended up clogging a lot of our fireplaces. We had to clean and replace many of the units. Unfortunately the units were effected in Secret Garden and we have since received the parts and remedied the problem. We do apologize for the inconvenience. We also addressed and repaired the mattress. thanks again for the comments and we are glad you still enjoyed your stay. It's a great cabin!

This was our first trip to Gatlinburg and being immediately overwhelmed by the myriad of cabins to choose from I went with Elk Springs Resort based off the ratings on Trip Advisor. We were definitely not disappointed. The reservation and check in/out was super easy, no hassle. The resort is close to Gatlinburg and easy to find with the directions that were provided. When we arrived the cabin was in perfect shape, clean and nicely decorated. The pictures are accurate but this cabin is really beautiful in person. We would definitely stay here again or another cabin at this resort...thanks for making this a great trip.

This was our first trip to Gatlinburg, so we relied on photographs and reviews of the cabins at Elk Springs. We could not have been more happy with our choice. Every cabin looked beautiful and well maintained. The area around the cabins was beautiful as well. It was located conveniently to the art district and Gatlinburg itself. We would not hesitate to stay at Elk Springs again, and will most likely choose the same cabin.

We loved the cabin, it was like coming home on vacation everyday. The pictures on line where exactly what we got when we arrived. We will definetly be back again and Im sure some of our friends will be booking too.

My family and I loved our stay at Secret Garden. We loved the lay out of the cabin. The only negitive is the pool table is very close to the windows. Making it a little hard to play pool, but we managed. We would love to stay at the cabin again!!

This place is incredible!!!!!!!!!!Cabin was gorgeous, just perfect.Myself, my hubby, my 7 yr old son and my 12 yr old nephew loved this place. I highly recommend it. I dont know where to begin. I decided to go to Elk Spring in December in hopes that there would be snow, because it would add to the romance and I had just proposed to my fiancée, she loves the snow. I got what I wished for. Upon our arrival we got about 2/3 the way up the hill you climb to the cabin and lost traction due to ice. A gentlemen that worked for Elk Spring showed up and shoveled ice and hand pushed my truck so we could get turned around. He advised they would have the street cleared later. Upon our second arrival we got even further and saw the same guy pushing a car by hand up the hill he stopped us and advised that we would not be able to stay in our original cabin due to ice, however they had a cabin waiting on us. The following day they called and gave us the option to stay where we were or go to our original cabin which we did. Through out our stay we saw this guy working day and night insuring the streets stayed clear. Both cabins were awesome, the service was great from the time I called to make reservations until we left. This trip was one of the most exciting, unpredictable and romantic trips ever. Highly recommended.

We stayed for a week, during the off season this December. It was a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and very well kept. The location was private and it provided a great escape for us. I would go back tomorrow, if I didn't have to work!

This place is furnished nice, but if there are more than to people staying, seating becomes a problem. We had to pull in two of the outside rocking chairs for two more seats for the 'living area. Only place there was 4 chairs was at the kitchen table. Did not like 2nd private bath, bed was not very comfortable, dark. THe 'Master suite was lovely. If you want to go, just make sure you have 4 TINY people. Furniture was crowded, not enough space to walk around, AC/Heating regulation problems. We'll never rent that cabin again

The cabin was luxurious, the view was awesome, and we loved the location near the Artist Colony, a grocery store, and downtown Gatlinburg. We had such a great time that we came back to Elk Springs Resort to stay in a larger cabin with our family at the beginning of 2011.

Great location, not motorcycle friendly

I have good news and bad news. First, let me start with the good. The overall stay was above average. The cabin was in mostly great shape, mostly clean, and was a very good choice. The location in reference to where we wanted to visit was excellent. Now, here is the bad news. The rooms were a little smaller than expected; especially the bedroom with the tub. While there was a closet; there was no storage room or chest to put your clothes, etc. The room was a little musty and the shower moldy, and all else was clean. My concern was that my wife is allergic to mold. While it was not perfect it was tolerable for here and overall would give the cabin an above average rating in these areas.Here is the terrible news. Frankly, the marketing department has done a poor job communicating certain areas on the internet. I, like I expect most others, viewed and booked the cabin via the internet. While the pictures are expertly done, as stated above it does not give you a full accounting of the sizes. The most disturbing and poor marketing is that it does not give the cabin?s location in reference to the resort. A picture of the driveway or parking areas would be extremely helpful. The Gatlinburg area is a very popular vacation area and even more importantly a highly rated motorcycling touring area; meaning there are a lots of motorcycle riders either trailering or riding their motorcycles there. In my case, I trailered my motorcycle. After, and only after, I made my reservation; and only just prior to my stay was it stated that the cabin was located down a gravel road. At first mention, I had very little concerns as I expected it to be hard packed. Well, upon my arrival I was surely surprised. Not only was it loose gravel, it was down a steep hill and even further down a gravel driveway to the cabin. There also was very little space for parking a trailer. What was I supposed to do? I could not cancel the reservation, even cal

We spent the first two nights of our honeymoon in the Secret Garden cabin. When we first drove into the resort property, we were a little worried about our stay. The cabins were fairly close together and we had wanted a little privacy. Luckily, the secret garden isn't right next to other cabins and we had plenty of privacy. The cabin was great and the rain shower is awesome!

My wife and I recently stayed 6 nights in Secret Garden for our honeymoon and loved everything from the rain shower, location, kitchen, pool table, hot tub, etc. Secret Garden seemed to be the most secluded of the cabins at the resort and it was convenient to town while still providing a country feel. Would recommend this propoerty to anyone staying in the smokies!

The phone didn't work had to have another phone installed. Both my wife and I hit our head in 2nd bedroom shelf where TV was installed. It is too low and a hazard. I told Manager about this. Other than that I really enjoyed the cabin and the location.

The cabin was better than the picture! The furniture was in great conditon and matched the theme of the cabin. Everything we needed was clean and waiting for us! The kitchen was well stock with dishes, pots/pan and clean dish towels. We had only one minor problem with one of the showers, but the overall condition of the property more than made up for that problem. I highly recommend these cabins to anyone who would like to get away! The managers, also checked to make sure we had settled into the cabin. When we wanted to be around a crowd, we found everthing we wanted to do in the Gatlinburg area!

My husband and I chose Gatlinburg/Great Smoky Mountains as our destination to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. After a great deal of research online we chose Elk Springs Resort and Secret Garden for our stay. The pictures posted online for the cabin were very accurate--the cabin was gorgeous. There was zero hassle checking in or out of the cabin. We did not do any cooking while we were there due to our short stay, but the kitchen was fully stocked with dishes etc and a nice gas grill is right outside the front door off of the kitchen. The location of the cabin in relation to Gatlinburg is very conveniently located along the artist's loop south of town with grocery stores, gas stations, banks, restaurants etc very nearby (we were impressed with The Ship restaurant along Glades Rd.). This cabin does not have immediate neighbors on either side and might be the most private you can get within the resort. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and would sit on the deck at night and listen to the frogs and crickets and get up early to listen to the birds--you will not have traffic noise here at all. We often judge our accommodations by the bathrooms and the bathrooms here were spotless. The jacuzzi tub and hot tub were surprisingly clean (like new) and I could not find a speck of mildew in the rain shower or the shower in the other bathroom--this was a welcome relief! It was really nice to return from hiking or sight-seeing and spend 15 minutes in the hot tub. We would recommend this resort without hesitation to family and friends. We posted links to the resort on Facebook while we were there because we were so impressed and because we had free WiFi which does work up in the mountains! The only thing we would add to the cabin would be a coat rack or hooks for coats and maybe a couple more towel bars in the bathrooms. If you're debating staying here, stop debating and book the cabin--you'll be glad you did! We can't wait to visit again and we'll be stayi

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and we loved it. The cabin was amazing (especially the shower and jacuzzi) and was everything we ever expected. The location of the resort is not exactly the best in regards to scenic views and access to the Smoky Mountains, but it is still close enough so as not to be a hassle. The property was well-maintained and generally clean. Everything went smoothly regarding check-in/check-out and I would highly recommend this company no matter which cabin you eventually choose. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Elk Springs Resort in our cabin Secret Garden! Check in and out was really easy! The location and staff were great! It was away from all the traffic but not too far way from everything. The view was really nice! There were cabins fairly close but the cabin felt really secluded. Secret Garden is on its own little gravel road so we didn't have any traffic at our front door. The staff was wonderful! Marty was very helpful in making the reservation. She was very nice! The security man was very nice and helpful as well. He stopped us several times to ask if we needed anything which was great! We talked to Andy once and he was also very helpful. The cabin overall was really beautiful and overall really clean. We loved the openness of the cabin and the wood floors. The kitchen was great and the 18 ft. shower was the best! There was just a few parts that could be cleaner.....The floors were not the cleanest. They looked clean but our socks got really dirty after walking around on them. It wasn't a big deal but they could have been cleaned with a wet swiffer or something. Linens and all were really clean but there were some big stains on the mattress that you could see through the sheet. Again, it was no big deal to us since the sheets were clean, but a mattress cover would be a good idea to cover that up so that you don't have to see it and to protect the mattress from future accidents. There was a couple of bobby pins that were left in the shower from previous guests. The shower also had some big cracks which you may want to fix so that water doesn't get behind the tiles and cause damage. Everything else was perfect! These were minor issues that wasn't a really big deal to us. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to family and friends. We would love to come back!

what an incredibly bad experience. The cabin would get to 80+ degrees during the day...the air conditioning could not keep up. it was miserable at night. we called 3 times....finally on the 3rd day someone shows up at 10pm (we were in bed) to look at the system....90 minutes later all he really did was change the filter in the system and said he didnt know what else to do. we called and emailed again later with no response. DO NOT STAY AT THIS CABIN OR ANY OTHER MANAGED BY ELK SPRINGS!!!!

The place was just amazing. So clean, so luxurious, so roomy. The cabin was available early. We met up with another couple staying there around 11pm. we drove down to meet them at McDonalds, and on our way back up the security officer followed us to the cabin to make sure that we knew who was following us. He said they monitor every car that goes in after 11 pm. That made me feel a lot more secure there. One thing about this cabin was the hot tub. We had quite the challenge getting the all jets to work. We never did get the hot tub to work properly, but we also did not call to get it fixed. They would have made sure it was fixed. Stay with Elk Springs Resort, you won't be disappointed. I will be back!!!

The cabin had issues with hot water. Especially the first two nights. Within 5 minutes of taking a shower, water was cold. The last night we had about 10 minutes of hot water, but still was not up to par. I recommend updating the hot water system to a new style "instant on" system. Why have such a nice shower, but not equip it with right system? A lot of customers pay good money for this cabin because of this amenity (18 ft shower). I stayed at A Desire Fulfilled last year and had zero issues with hot water, and I do believe it has the instant on system.

This place was lovely, perfectly set in an idyllic mountain scene. The fireplaces, pool table, hot tub, decorations and kitchen are top notch and beautiful. We loved it.Our one complaint is that the in-room heart-shaped jacuzzi is unusable. You could get maybe 3 inches of hot water and then that was it. We called maintenance & they told us it just had a 40 gallon water heater, and that was it. I just have a hard time knowing why they've not fixed that or gotten more complaints. Also, one person can barely get a shower longer than 10 minutes before the water runs cold. So the huge tower shower was useless as well. Other than that, we loved it.

We loved spending time at Secret Gardens. We were very impressed by the cabin. It was spacious, beautiful and clean. We loved being away from all the traffic and being only minutes from downtown Gatalinburg. This was our 34th anniversary and my husband's first time at Gatalinburg and my second (I was 16 the first time). We were just minutes from the national park and enjoyed being able to go hiking up the mountain to see Laurel Falls. We also enjoyed downtown Gatalinburg. We hadn't played pool in a long time and enjoyed the pool table. The cabin was perfect!! We would highly recommend anyone to experience what we did and plan on taking our family back soon.

When we arrived at the 3 bedroom cabin it had been broken into so we moved to a 2 bedroom cabin. The maintenance guy moved us to the 2 bedroom cabin and said that the property manager would refund the difference. Once the property manager finally contacted us he was VERY RUDE and told us he was not going to refund the difference. He stated that we should have waited out the time for the window to be replaced, the TV's replaced as well as waited on all of the glass being cleaned up. What a joke! The property was graveled and muddy. There were pot holes everywhere. We were so disappointed the way the property manager Andy ran the so called "Resort." We would never recommend this property to anyone...this is not the honest way of treating your customers!

Katherine, we have an obligation to our other customers. We are not going to sacrifice service to our other customers for someone only searching for a discount. The original cabin you requested to stay in would have been ready in 20 minutes after your arrival as promised when you arrived early. To accomodate you, we drove you around the property for 1 hour looking at several different units until you chose a 2 bedroom unit, even though you had the option of going back into the original unit you booked. Furthermore, at check out we realized that the guest who met you at the cabin brought 3 dogs with them even though your reservation was originally not for a pet friendly cabin. We spent an extra 2 hours cleaning the cabin removing excessive pet hair. Unfortunately we did have a problem with existing unit and while it was a major job to get ready, we would have had it ready prior to you check in time. In all fairness, when you arrived early we tried extremely hard to keep you happy.

Secret Garden was wonderful! The amenities were great and it had everything we needed for our stay. We loved the coziness of the cabin and it was very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door. The place was unbelievably clean. We felt extremely safe. The cabins fairly close (40yds) but we never heard or saw anyone really. Loved the jacuzzi and the fireplaces. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back. Now on to the "room for improvement" part. You will have to back out of the driveway, not that difficult but may be for some. Drive is gravel, I assume for safety reasons during iced roads. Cabin is cozy, but furniture downstairs is too close together. It says it sleeps 6, but we believed more than 2 adults would be crowded. The shower was great!, but the bathtub was lacking. There was only one hot-water heater, and therefore not enough hot water to fill the entire bathtub. Watch your step getting into the cabin on icy days, as the ramp leading to the door gets slippery. I am sure that all sounds like a lot of bad for me giving it 5 stars, but those are all small things when compared to the overall experience in the cabin. The only thing that was really disappointing was not being able to enjoy the bathtub. Again... amazing cabin and place, but there is some minor room for improvement.

The bottom floor fireplace was not working upon arrival. The jets in the heart shaped jacuzzi did not work either but that may have been operator error. I expressed my concerns to management and they apologized for any inconvenience and went out of their way to make sure I was a satisfied customer. Would definitely recommend staying at the Elk Springs Resort and I plan on staying with them for many years to come.

I just can't say enough about the convenience (location, fully supplied kitchen, gas fireplaces, gas grill), the entertainment (TVs, DVD Players, pool table, foosball table, hot tub), and the overall condition of the cabin. Not to mention, the 18 foot rain shower that couldn't be beat.The cabin made a great "basecamp" whether you were hitting the National Park, downtown Gatlinburg, or Pidgeon Forge. The location is convenient, yet away from the crowd. It was also nice to be close to the Arts and Crafts District, which we really enjoyed.I can't envision my family staying anywhere else when we come back to the area. ...And we will.

My stay at Elk Springs Resort will be forever remembered. I chose this resort based on the pic's from the web-site for my entire family to stay for my wedding.We reserved a total of 7 cabins and all of them were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Anything we needed, they provided.All of my guest couldn't stop talking about the GREAT time they had. We are all planning trips for next year at this the staff, thanks so much for all of your help and professionalism. You guy's really know what GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE is all about. My new wife and I had a great time. The cabin and mountains were beautiful. It was a lot easier to find than a lot of other cabins we've stayed in. Everything was clean and ready to go for us. Even our two dogs felt at home right away. We recommend Elk Springs and this cabin to everyone and we plan to go back and maybe try one of Elk Springs' other beautiful cabins.

We had the priviledge of celebrating our 28th anniversary here with friends. The cabin was fabulous. It is everything the website claims it is and more. While fairly near the other cabins it has a very secluded feel to it. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we called them. We had a marvelous time relaxing. We have already begun plans for next years return trip.

We stayed here for our honey moon. When we arrived we had issues checking in. Once we finially talked to the manager to hours later he said he was refund a nights stay. which he did but it wasnt for the full amount. Well once we got into the cabin we found that the light in the master bathroom didnt work. Then found the jacuzzi tub in the room also didnt work. So we contacted the manager the next day. Seven days days later when we where leaving it still wasnt fixed. Then we found the day we were leaving that the frame of the bed was broke as well. Over all the cabin was nice. This is the only real private cabin on the property. There are really no views from any of the cabins.

The location of our cabin was perfect - far enough out of town to enjoy quiet and privacy. Even our cabin was secluded from others in the resort. We further enjoyed that we could call to check in and call to check out! The cabin was luxurious; our room had everything - fireplace, jacuzzi, television, rain tower shower... We wanted for nothing! An excellent experience. And with 10% off our future visits, we'd love to come back!

For everyone looking for a nice spot to always go vacationing to THIS IS IT!! My husband and i enjoyed the Secret Garden it's the perfect place for anniversary's and honeymoons or if you just want to get away from the city life. Also everything you would need to enjoy your vacation outside of your cabin is just literally a few miles away! The Ripley's Aquarium is a must see and just fine dinning everywhere. We are now planning to rent one of the family cabins. I would like for my family to experience it too. Isn't that something, not only do they have smaller cabins but cabins that sleeps up to 15 people. So as you can tell we're coming back and probably vacation here at least once a year after that. Thank you for the home away from home. See you soon!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon. The cabin still smelled new, was clean and inviting. All the amenities were perfect. The shower, hot tub, bed, and even the pool table was awesome. It could not have been any better. This is a very nice cabin and me and my wife had a blast staying here.

Our stay at 'Secret Garden' was wonderful! They called us Thursday morning and gave us our code to get in and even said we could check in earlier if we wanted too. The driveway is not paved yet and is a bit narrow and hard to turn around in, but the cabin was awesome. This would make a perfect 'Honeymoon Retreat'! The bedroom has to be the most romantic of any we have ever stayed in. We only ventured out twice in our 3 day stay. It was a much needed vacation for the 2 of us and we hated to leave, but came home with some wonderful memories. This is our second visit to Elk Springs in the past 6 months (the first time we stayed at 'Mountain Magic'). We will definitely be back in a few months and bring our family and plan to stay at 'Buck Wild'.

This cabin was everything we expected based on a pre-rental review on the internet. I would (and will) go back. It was clean and everything worked. One tip, if you want complete privacy then go when there are leaves on the trees.

The layout of this cabin is really nice for a single couple and this cabin is more secluded than the others. I wouldnt recommend this cabin to a family with children or an infant. The pull out couch is upstairs and the rooms are downstairs so my children were too scared to stay upstairs by themselves so they had to sleep in the bed with us. Not very comfortable. LOL!! Also, I would recommend putting a phonebook and telephone for local use in all the cabins. There is no cell phone signal in the mountains.

We loved the cabin and would definitly come back again, however we would know now to request a cabin that has a paved road leading to it. Not only was our road not paved but it was next to impossible to turn a car around so we actually had to back down the road our cabin was on. Other than those couple of issues the cabin experience was great and we will be back soon hopefully.

Overall, the stay was good but there were a few problems. First, the property was somewhat a mess. There were beer cans down in the woods and around the house, and lots of construction going on. On the second day our hot water heater was broken to where we couldn't take a shower or use the heart-shaped bathtub, a pretty big disappointment.

The cabin was beautiful however we did not have enough "hot water" to use the jacuzzi in the bedroom or to use the rain shower. We repeatedly called and asked for the problem to be corrected and it was not. The staff was not very helpfull nor did they seem concerned with our problem. It is a shame because it ruined part of our honeymoon and will keep us from recommended the resort to our family and friends.

The cabin was absolutely wonderful. It was just as expected. We had a little trouble finding it since there is no sign at the entrance to the driveway and you're not sure you are at the correct cabin until you drive all the way up to it and see the sign on the cabin itself. At night it would be very hard to find.The driveway needs gravel or to be paved. It rained the whole time we were there and the driveway was a mudhole and had ruts in it from runoff. There is no turnaround space for leaving the cabin. We had to back out which was difficult especially at night with no lights. When it came time to checkout we were instructed to call the office number and inform them of our departure. I called the number and was connected to an individual's cell phone. His voicemail just stated his name and to leave a message. I thought it was a mistake since he gave no indication he was with Elk Springs Resort. Also, his mailbox was full and I was unable to leave a message. I eventually got a hold of the office after multiple tries and she informed me that was her manager's cell phone. They need to have a better system in place for checkout or have phones forwarded to a live person or a voicemail system that allows enough space for multiple messages.

It was a great cabin, a great location, and generally perfect in every way. Our only complaint is that we had a hard time keeping the cabin warm enough because it was in the teens when we stayed around Christmastime. We also ran out of hot water in the shower very quickly. But both of those issues were due to the extreme cold outside. Aside from that, we loved it and would love to go back.

the cabin secret garden was an amazing cabin to be in for our stay. the 18 foot shower was priceless, the hottub in the room was a nice touch and the bed was very comfortable. the overall stay was great. good loction just about 10min from the strip but still out in the woods. very nice stay thank you my girlfriend and i will be back that is forsure.

This was a brand new cabin with dramatic features. Beautiful furnishings and facilities. Undoubtedly one of the best mountain top communities in Tennessee.Within a mile of a quaint artist community, Glades, and a major grocery outlet, Food City. We were able to see all the areas of interest in the area in just a few days. A great experience in many ways.
