We loved our cabin!
A guest from Charlotte, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2016 We loved the cabin! It was beautiful, clean, a nice kitchen and the resort was nice and well kept. We wold definitely recommend this resort/cabin. The reservation process through check out was a seamless, no issues at all!

Jennifer D. from Joy, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2016 Great cabin. Pictures need updated. The chairs in the theater room are now couches. Would have prefered the chairs. Overall a great stay. Thank you.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your feedback is important to us. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. We hope you will consider staying with Elk Springs Resort for return visits to the beautiful Smoky Mountains.
Yolanda W. from Atlanta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2016 My stay at Elk Springs was nothing short of amazing ! We really enjoyed our stay, and the cabin was beautiful !
Travis S. from New Orleans, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2016 Awesome, Awesome, Awesome

We are pleased that you and your family had an awesome time here at Elk Springs Resort! We hope you will make it an annual tradition and return again and again to make more Smoky Mountain memories!
A guest from Parkland, FL does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in December, 2015 Overall nice cabin. Kitchen has very odd layout and is small but all appliances work well. Found a few bugs in the upstairs bath, but it is the mountains! Good location. Close to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Cody W. from Evansville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in November, 2015 If you have kids, sleep in the upstairs room. The floors don't have insulation in them so you hear everything downstairs that's going on upstairs.
Ginny Z. from Raleigh, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in October, 2015 The Firefly Lodge was very nice and exactly what we wanted. The location was perfect, offering seclusion in the mountains, but also being very close to town to enjoy all the fun stuff Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge have to offer. We experienced a few problems during our stay (gas starter on grill and fireplace didn't work and air conditioning went out), but the maintenance folks were at our house within 15 minutes of reporting the problems (even when calling at 8:30pm) and fixed what they could. The air conditioning needed a new part, so that didn't get fixed until the next day. Thankfully, the weather was decent so we didn't get too hot.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We sincerely apologize for the maintenance issues you experienced while you were our guest and thank you for your patience while we resolved each one for you. Obviously, these issues weren't anticipated, but our maintenance staff was quick to spring into action so you would have these problems resolved as quickly as possible. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and your feedback helps us to improve our services and overall guest experience. We appreciate your business and hope you will return to the Smoky Mountains and stay with us again soon.
A guest from Amherst, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in July, 2015 We loved it! We have 4 kids and they were occupied and not at all bored. The cabin was beautiful and very clean! We would definitely come back!
Matt T. from Brookfield, CT recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2015 Our stay in the Smoky Mountains via the Firefly Lodge in the Elk Springs Resort was wonderful. Being centrally located (within 5-15 minutes) to the all activities in the National Park, Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge allowed our party of 6 to maximize our vacation with things to do. The resort cabin itself was upscale, spacious, clean and a very welcome place to return to after a long day.
Cindy K. from Rainbow City, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2015 The cabin was lovely and our son, who is autistic, absolutely loved the theater room. It was clean and nicely decorated. It would be a perfect cabin...for those who do not plan to cook. The kitchen, though well equipped, is so small and crowded it made cooking a challenge. The refrigerator is almost impossible to get into. If you're a restaurant kind of family, this place is great! Unfortunately our family has many dietary restrictions and eating out was not an option. It is workable, but it is a tight squeeze! But we still had a wonderful time!
A guest from Murfreesboro, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2015 This was a great cabin. It was actually in a really good location....only 15 minutes from Gatlinburg and 20 minutes from Pigeon Forge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Donmeka M. from Jackson, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2015 The vacation started out great. The Fire Fly Lodge was wonderful. We had lots of room. The theater room was beautiful and roomy. The sound system was great. Our vacation ended horribly with a swarm of termites. When I called the management to inform them they treated me like I was crazy and as if I was lying.
A guest from Harrison Twp, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2014 Wonderful! Lodge was great, especially the beauty of the all wood interior. Well equipped for easy living. Pool table, air hockey, hot tub, and Jan 1st football kept everyone entertained. Theater room seating as shown online had been replaced with couch seating. Phone receptionist's directions to unit were very poor. Heating upstairs versus downstairs not balanced. TV in living area very small.
A guest from Apex, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in December, 2014 Since the moment we walked in we were amazed with the beauty of the cabin. Eveerything was amaazing. The only thingg is that My two year old forgot her christmas gift and we havent heard from anyone in regards to the gift. That saddens me. Other than that everything was amazing.
Jamie W. from Prospect, Kentucky recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2014 This is our 3rd stay in this resort and it is always a great experience!! This was a really nice cabin with plenty of room for our large family. Clean and well stocked...only thing I would ask for is more towels available!
A guest from Alexandria, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in October, 2014 Last week was our 2nd time in Elk Springs and it was another great experience for our family. Excellent getaway in a relaxing atmosphere.
A guest from Versailles, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2014 We chose this property for the accessibility shown in the website picture and the first floor master with step in shower. My mom is on a walker and can not do steps. When we arrived the cabin had gravel right up to the one large step into the cabin unlike the picture with nicely paved parking area and no step. A rolling walker on gravel was awful. I now believe the web pic was computer generated and misleading. The cabin was OK but had a very small, very dark kitchen. The eating area was also small but better lit. Family area and gas fireplace were nice but once again dark. This cabin could use some extra lamps to improve the lighting. Bedrooms and bathrooms were nice. A couple extra bedside tables with lamps could greatly help finish this cabin. Movie room was nice. Elks Springs ins in a great location but we will choose a cabin on the paved road next time since the gravel road had large ruts and just felt unfinished. Nice cabin if you don't plan to cook. We enjoyed our stay overall though accessibility was difficult.
Karen A. from West Chester, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2014 Fantastic experience all around. The customer service is excellent from the initial reservations through the final checkout. The property is exactly as pictured and described online, except the theater room now has couches instead of chairs. These cabins are stunning, clean, well maintained and have so many amenities. The location is perfect as it is secluded, but only minutes from activities and restaurants. We plan to recommend the resort to friends and certainly plan on returning ourselves!
A guest from Ann Arbor, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2014 Great place to stay near the Smokies and Gatlinburg. Slept 7 comfortably, all amenities were as described. A little lower down the mountain so not as good a view as some of the higher up cabins. Hot tub/jacuzzi tubs were great and necessary after long hikes.
Great Family Reunion Time at Elk Springs (Firefly Lodge)
June J. from Nashville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 Our three-day stay could not have been more enjoyable. Our family rented 4 cabins all within in waling distance of each other and spent a lot of quality time together. The cabins were clean and everything was conveniently located. We even saw two bears when we were there.
Danielle P. from Oak Park, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in June, 2014 This was the best vacation by far. I didn't know what to expect. I read many reviews mostly good about the resort. I few things concerned my reading that some of the amenities were broken or lack of up keep with the property. This was far from the truth. Everything was clean, working properly and exceeded more than what I expected. Its something you have to experience for yourself and please don't let a few bad reviews prevent you from having a great experience. we would love to get back there!!!
Reviewed by: Laura I. recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in March, 2014 The sign at the entrance gives you a fair warning, "you may never want to true! We took the kids (4 month, 7, & 10 year old) on spring break and Elk Springs (Firefly lodge) was the perfect place to hang our hats! It gives you the mountain feel with only a few minute drive into the heart of Gatlinburg! We met family and friends and new friends at the resort and we can't wait to come back!We have already reccomended Elk springs to numerous friends and colleagues the first week back.Very relaxing and honestly the cabin is entertainment enough for the kids which results in adult time, priceless! Can't wait to come back!Matt & Laura
A guest from Paducah, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2014 We had an amazing time for the weekend we were there. We brought along 2 children who were very excited for the theatre room (the reason we rented that cabin). But ours did not work and we couldn't get a hold of the main people because we didn't have service. The last night we went into town and called and they fixed it that night in a very timely manner but that only left us with one night with the theatre and we didn't even end up watching it because they kids fell asleep. But that wasn't their fault just our luck! Our place was very close to town and was absolutely beautiful! I will keep coming back to elk springs, they made sure our stay was enjoyable!
A guest from Trussville, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in December, 2013 We loved the location near Gatlinburg's Craft District. The cabin was great. Very roomy and private-felt as if we were alone in the woods. The linens need an upgrade, it was difficult to control the heat, and floor did not seem to have been mopped are the reasons for not giving a perfect rating. Check in/out was great! Very convenient and quiet. Great if you don't like to be in all the crowds. Would stay again for sure! Don't use GPS to find especially at night!
A guest from Lawrenceville, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2013 Had a great time! Definitely wished we could have had one more day. We loved the cabin but thought it would be a little bigger than it was but it was still very clean and cozy. I would recommend to the owners that you put a rug pad under your living room rug to keep it from moving. There were several times that we slipped and almost fell. We were a little disappointed in the theatre room. The pictures online showed reclining theatre chairs and when we arrived we saw that there were two couches :(. We chose this cabin based mainly on the theatre. Maybe update your pictures for other guests to see. Overall we still had a great time!!! Thanks!!!
Nancy B. from West Chester, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2013 We enjoyed our stay very much. I've stayed in several homes in the area. The only thing I didn't like was that we were not up high with a good view. The kitchen could have been a little bigger with more supplies and more hooks for towels in the bedroom with the bunks.
Stacy C. from Clinton Township, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in September, 2013 We really enjoyed our stay in this spacious cabin. Plenty of room and the staff is awesome in addressing problems promptly. One of the smoke detectors kept chirping due to the battery and they came out right away to replace it. Service is definately top notch. There were a few disappoimtments, however. My biggest one was the theater seating. I purposely chose firefly because of the authentic theater seating with cupholders that reclined for the ultimate theater experience. However, there were no seats but uncomfortable couches that didnt even recline. Huge disappointment since i used the theater room as a huge factor in determining our stay. Also the jetted tub upstairs shot out black sediment from the jets which was a bummer for my teenage daughter who was looking forward to that little luxury. The heart one on the main floor worked fine though. One lat thing i wish i could have changed was the view. I was expecting a mountain view and it was just trees. I did like how it was pretty secluded in a cul de sac, however. Overall, we loved it and the kids said it was the best place we ever stayed. I would definitely use elksprings again but i woyld confirm the theater seats next time and try to get a better view. Hidden hideaway and majestic views seemed high enough up to get a better view and it was facing the mountains. I would try those next. GREAT SERVICE THOUGH AND THATS WHAT MAKES OR BREAKS A VACATION IN MY OPINION.
A guest from Glen Carbon, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2013 This is a lovely cabin. Pros: Secluded but on large cul-de-sac; theatre, hot tub, beds nice, and inside was excellent. Cons: they provide only 1 night of linens so you must re-use unless you use washer/dryer, need extra hooks in bathroom, the 1st floor bedroom hears everything from the bunkbed room directly over them. We heard that bedroom floor creak with each step and heard them talk but didn't know what they were saying. It was annoying. A bed was not made up properly and a shower didn't work! You always have to leave a phone message, no one answers the phone which is also annoying.
A guest from Eliazbethtown, KY does not recommend this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2013 The directions given to us by the company were not a good idea to go 60 miles out of the way to avoid potential traffic. Moreover, there were finger nails under the bed from the people before us. Gross! The cabin was not secure with door locks flimsy. My wife cut her foot on an exposed metal piece by a bedroom door. Will not stay here again, and drastically over priced! Real let down for the price. Sorry I booked this!
James M. from Versailles, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in June, 2013 We had a wonderful family vacation at the Firefly Lodge! Master toilet overflowed from day one. Called to have repaired. Guys who came said it had problems in the past. Made them aware of it at checkout again. Hopefully, they will repair permanently. Still had three other toilets in the place, so we just didn't use that one. All other plumbing worked fine. All that aside, the place was very clean. Had a raccoon on the deck to visit one day. Family had a wonderful time. Absolutely stunning views and setting. Beautiful place! You will enjoy it!
A guest from Milford, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in March, 2013 Our cabin was beautiful and was very clean when we arrived. We used all appliances during our stay and everything was in perfect working order. We loved the theater room and the hot tub.
Anthony L. from Birmingham, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 When you think of Heaven- think of Elk Springs resort Cabins. Our recent stay was just "AWESOME" we all had the most wonderful time. Our Grandchildren didn't want to leave and neither did we. From the moment you enter the property until the time you will leave will be just breath taking. Heaven here on earth is one of the only ways for us to describe ESR. Whoever designed these rentals didn't leave a stone unturned. They covered any and everything a family could want except "Groceries" and I'm sure if they knew your eating habits they would have tried to arrange it for you. We are now planning our trip back next year. Again we thank the Elk Springs Resort staff for a five (5) star week. Keep up the great work and God bless you all!Happy still in Birmingham,The Levert & Starr Family
Burt T. from Wilmington, NC recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 We just enjoyed a wonderful vacation at Firefly Lodge. The cabin was perfect for us. Well furnished, very clean and super comfortable. The theater room was a nice touch and our 8 year old daughter loved the bunked double beds. We'll be back!
Marcos C. from Louisville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2012 everything was really nice, but I stay one entire night waiting for somebody in maintenance because one of the Jacuzzi was not working and I call the office and they tall me that they were going to send somebody. That never happened. But everything else was good
A guest from Sunman, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 5 days in March, 2012 I was surprised for the price the size and condition of the cabin. When we first got there we went to cook a pizza and the pans were dirty. The playroom ended up being in the livingroom area so you coulldnt watch t.v and play airhockey at the same time. It was very distractng. Also we noticed that water would come down the wall in the bathroom downstairs when someone upstairs took a shower. The condition of the media room was such that the outside of the seats were peeling off. I dissappointed.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Amanda, should you have any issues please call us as we have maintenance and housekeeping on site. I do know that we were able to remedy the maintenance issues, specifically the water leak very quickly for you as well as the housekeeping issues.
A guest from Loveland, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2011 First visit to Gatlinburg and I LOVED my stay. Beautiful cabin located in the artsy community. About 10 minutes from downtown. Cabin was just as presented in website images. Furniture was current and in great condition. The home theatre was fantastic for kids but there were lots of tears in the chairs. Overall a wonderful experience and plan to visit again next year. Only complaint was the HVAC was really out of balance. The downstairs was cold and the bedrooms upset were very hot (folks sleeping upstairs were up all night sweating). We opened windows the second night and solved that issue. Thanks for a great vacation home!
A guest from Lake City, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2011 The property was very nice and clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because our fireplace didn't work and our washing machine had issues spinning out. The people were very nice, though. We had a very nice time ! :)
Cherry L. from McCalla, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in December, 2011 Overall the property was great! The layout of the cabin was terrific for our size group. The pool greeting you when you walk in was a big hit with my son and nephews! The theatre was the second greatest hit...however, I was a little taken back by the condition of a few of the chairs. Before I rented this property again I would ensure that this is taken care of....since the rest of the cabin is so well taken care of!Enjoyed stay!
Erik G. from Hialeah, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in November, 2011 From the moment you walked into Firefly Lodge you felt like you were home! The cabin was immaculate. Everything from the kitchen to the bathrooms were spotless. It is stocked with all the essentials you need, especially in the kitchen. It's location is very convenient to Downtown Gatlinburg as well as Pigeon Forge and all the other local attractions. We were a group of 10 ( 6 adults and 4 kids all under 4 years old) and we could not have been happier with our stay. On another note, the Elk Springs staff was always very helpful and informative. We would definetly recommend Elk Springs Resort Cabins.
Jessica R. from Christiansburg, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in October, 2011 Everything was great! :)Just never have enough time. Every cabin I have rented from Elk Springs Resort, I have been very pleased. I am a hard person to satisfy with accomidations and I have not had any complaints! Always Clean, Hassle Free, Beautiful Cabins.
Mayank C. from Lexington, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in August, 2011 It was easily one of the best weekends ever. It was great fun staying at the lodge, it was absolutely clean and in great shape. The theater screen was the icing on the cake. The hot tub and the grill all worked perfectly. Great experience at a great lodge.
A guest from Rosemount, MN recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2011 Trip to Gatlinburg was wonderful. Cabin location was perfect - not too far out of town, but away from the business dist.Quiet!Would stay again in a heart beat!
A guest from Mobile, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in August, 2011 The Firefly Lodge is a beautiful cabin. We made use of the game tables as well as the theater room. Close to many activities. We ziplined, rode the rapids, went site seeing, ate and shopped. Staff was very helpful. You can hear others on the upper floor but not bothersome. Just wish my cell phone provider could have picked up a signal. Wireless worked great. Overall a fun trip to the mountains.
A guest from Mount Morris, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in July, 2011 We had a great stay. Everything we needed was there plus so many additions to really make the stay nice, the worse part was that we could only stay two days.
A guest from Walton, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2011 inside cabin was dusty looked like it was not being swept, hair balls left in corners of bathroom, pool table sticks and rack was damaged, outside back flood lights did not work, hot tub was dirty after one day of being there called to have it cleaned, guy took out filter sprayed cleaner on it put back in, the filter clearly needed changed it was old after that hot tub had odd odor to it. Other than those things we had a great stay, probably next time would stay in a different cabin with different cleaning people that are responsible for it.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Dorene, we're sorry that there were some cleaning issues. I'm glad you called and we were able to resolve these for you. Certainly when there is an issue you should call as you did so we can help you. We normally get very good reviews on this cabin and for cleanliness at all of our cabins, so thanks again for letting us know and letting us respond so quickly during your stay.
Christopher P. from Villa Rica, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2011 Pros: Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, home theatre is awesome, kitchen utensils, dish and glassware are more than adequate, Food City grocery store is close, four burner grill on back porch, maintenance staff quickly responds to needs, most cabins seem to be spaced well for privacyCons: Bring your own hangars if you plan to use the closet, squirrel or chipmunk inside walls of Bedroom above kitchen most nights at 2:30 AM, no place for children to play outside of cabin, kitchen space is cramped if more than one person is trying to use appliances the same time. This was the first time I have ever rented a cabin. I liked this property and location.
A guest from Herndon, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in April, 2011 Overall our experience was very good, with great features and a peaceful location. However, several amenities had not been properly maintained, such as DVD players, the theatre room furniture, the hot tub and the grill. Maintenance fixed some items, but not others. Also, our cabin was down a gravel road that was apparently scheduled for a major overhaul during our stay, which created a lot of dust and noise. This would be a 5-star review if they could get a handle on the maintenance and repair items.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Shane, we're sorry about the maintenance issues that you had. We get excellent reviews on how well maintained the cabins are and how well we respond. It turns out that we did need order some replacement items on the hot tub and we were not able to get them during your stay. As part of our ongoing maintenance we did replace the grill during your stay as it was scheduled to be replaced. Again, we apologize for the issues and we're glad we were able to address them during your stay.
A guest from Womelsdorf, PA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in April, 2011 Our family enjoyed the cabin very much! The hot tub, the jacuzzis, the games and big screen... what fun!! It was decorated beautifully as well. The washer and dryer were much appreciated, too, with our large family. We were disappointed, though, with the cleanliness of the cabin. The floors, sticky and muddy, obviously weren't mopped from last guests, making us more on alert to the dirty windows. The hot tub's jets kept coming out for us, too. But with just a little more attention to detail, we could have given five stars all the questions. Thanks!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We apologize for the inconvenience, it did rain heavily and we did have our maintenance people in there before your arrival due to an HVAC issue we resolved. They did not clean up the floors after their visit and we do apologize. We do have on site maintenance and housekeeping so if there is ever an issue we can respond very quickly to repair items such as hot tub jets or to reclean floors.
A guest from Collierville, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2011 My entire family had a great time. If we didn't have to go out, we had plenty to keep the adults and children entertained. Everything was just perfect and the scenery from the cabin was so beautiful. We definitely enjoyed every moment of our stay.
Carl R. from Powell, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2011 Loved the chalet and will definitely be back again. The house was wonderful, well furnished and loved the theater room.
A guest from McDonald, TN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in January, 2011 I would recommend more stone on the road that goes to the cabin, road was very soft and muddy
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Charlie, you are right! The road was terrible. We did end up re-graveling and re-grading the road. Sorry for the incovneinence. In 3 years this is the first time it's gotten as rough as it did. The grading we did should last another 3 years so you should be OK for your future visit!
main floor was great, upstairs stayed to hot, couldn't enjoy bottom bedroom, theater room TO COLD
Irene H. from South Port, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2011
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Irene..sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for the feedback. We had an HVAC person in to make adjustments to the duct work to reslove the imbalance in temperatures.
Austin M. from Churubusco, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2011 As expected, when we arrived at the cabins again this year, they were in excellent condition and were very clean. They are a great place to come and relax. This year, however, we decided to go for the Home Theater cabin. We were excited to spend the week with our Playstation 3 (that we brought) watching Blu Ray DVDs and playing games. We also brought all of our Wii games to use on the rented Wii system the resort offers. However, Once we arrived, there were signs in the home theater room that prohibit the use of gaming systems in the home theater. Also, the receiver would not accept any video inputs (nor would we have been allowed to connect to them if it did, per the sign on the wall), so watching ANY of the BluRay movies that we brought was out of the question. If this would have been specified before our arrival, then it would have been one thing. However, broadcasting that there is a home theater room and that gaming consoles are rentable upon request, to me, implies that the theater room will be usable for this. I think it is unreasonable to expect that guests assume that they will play their games on a small LCD screen when they have rented a cabin with a 9' theater screen. You could not even watch TV in the theater room. It was strictly for DVD viewing. If it weren't for this, I would give the experience 5 stars across the board. However, since I feel that the cabin is misrepresented, I have to knock it down a few levels.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Austin, thank you for the comments. We prohibit the connecting of devices directly to the projector. We've had the projectors tampered with and damaged, so it is not allowed. There are a full selection of A/V connections on the pre-amp DVD system that you can connect to and this is allowed. So you can feel free to connect to this. Sorry for the confusion, but we simply cannot allow direct connections to the projectors in order to ensure the projectors are in good working order for each guest that rents the cabins.
A guest from West Point, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2010 I booked here for the week of Christmas and I must say the most memorable thing about our stay was the scenery created by mother nature! It snowed and was BEAUTIFUL, however there were somethings I felt like should have been taken care of due to how much money people are charged to book a stay during the holidays. Firstly when we got their we discovered that a pool stick was broken in half but had been put together to look as though it was fine. Secondly when we got ready to play The Michael Jackson Experience on Wii and when we pulled back the rug let's just say it gave a whole new meaning to swept under the rug. Dirt was everywhere! The cookware that they provided stuck and my mother had a hard time using the pots and pans. The jacuzzi tub in my spouse's and I room had a broken faucet! It worked but had to be adjusted! There was also a plank in my sisters room that was coming a part in the ceiling. For the money we paid I feel that the cabin should have been PERFECT! Call me crazy, but I expect to get what I pay for. Theater room was AMAZING and the view and scenery were also AMAZING and I loved the fireplace and other kitchen equipment!!! My biggest problem was the rudeness of a lady that returned phone calls. We got stuck several times on the ice and it took us about three hours to get out. We had to be pulled by a truck. She would answer the phone with complete disconnect. She was very rushing to get off the phone. I want to be made to feel like my stay there is just as important as anyone else's!!! In spite of the issues encountered we will be booking again in hopes these issues are corrected.
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals Hi Myra, thanks for your comments. We received record snow in the area and the guests staying in your cabin were afraid to leave. They ended up staying an extra night and checked out 1 hour before your scheduled arrival at 3pm. We contacted you and suggested that arrive at 3pm for your check in and not earlier as the cabin would not be ready AND that there was an ice condition on one of the roads near the property. After talking to the city they indicated that it would be remedied in the afternoon and thus we recommended that you do not arrive early. We received a call from you at noon that you were near the cabin but were stuck on the ice on the same road where we issued the warnings. I do apologize if we were brief on our conversations with you, but we were trying to accomodate many guests who had travel questions and it required us to be brief. After indicating that you wanted to get into the cabin we rushed to get it ready for you based on your early arrival. In retrospect, we should have requested that you wait so we could address the cabin correctly as opposed to try and accomodate you so quickly. It is important to note that after your check in you did call our office and we dispatched our cleaning crew within 10 minutes of your call to completely clean the entire cabin, do dishes, and change all linens that were just changed. I think your expectations are absolutely reasonable, but given our standard check in time and your early arrival we did try and accomodate you at the sacrifice of quality. We'll be better prepared if this should occur again.
A guest from Georgetown, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in November, 2010 The cabin's heater would not come on. We were able to fix it ourselves, after waiting for someone to come. Someone had already begun working on it, but left tools. There was not enough hot water for 7 people. Otherwise, we were very happy with our stay.
Cindy B. from Forest, VA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in October, 2010 We loved the modern kitchen ammenities! We were also blown away by the Home Theatre Room! Very convenient to Gatlinburg.
John H. from Villa Rica, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in September, 2010 The cabin was beautiful. Well decorated and very clean. Had some minor issues getting the grill to fire biggie though. Great place to vacation and my family and I will be returning. I would recommend this place anyone and already have. Thanks for making my 10 year anniversary one to remember!
Charles S. from Ft Edward, NY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in August, 2010 We were very satisfied with this rental. It was very clean and close enough to everything we wanted to do and see. It would have been a bonus to have had a more expansive view of something other than the nearby woods, but we did have plenty of privacy. The home theater room was awesome! We watched movies there almost every night. We do wish there were a few more towels and definitely needed extra tp - especially with 8 of us there!
Property Manager Response: Response from Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals We always have extra towels in the cabinets or you can call housekeeping and we'd be happy to bring you more!
A guest from Clemmons, NC does not recommend this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2010 The FireFly Lodge was beautifully appointed with all the amenities we could ask for. The kids loved every minute of being there. I however must say was dissapointed somewhat with some of the details that had been overlooked by maintenance/housekeeping.
A guest from Akron, Ohio recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in July, 2010 Cabin was very nice, plenty of room for our family, private setting-we could relax on the deck without seeing anyone in another cabin, convenient to Gatlinburg and National Park, cabin amenities were great; theater, grill, hot tub, wi-fi, etc. We did have quite a few centipedes on the main floor, it wasn't a huge deal-but you did have to watch where you stepped, but hey it's a cabin in the mountains...
A guest from Nokomis, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in June, 2010 It was a great resort for our Family Reunion. Brandi did a super job of getting our cabins close together as we booked seven cabins and had 45 people attend. The location was perfect and everyone had a good time. Our cabin was nice except for a few minor issues. The cabin was rather noisey due to little insulation. It was a problem for us as we had a toddler and the sounds from adults talking downstairs traveled up to the bedrooms. We enjoyed the week at Elks Springs Resort visiting with family and making memories.
Lakeisha L. from Boutte, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in June, 2010 We had a great time. A few little annoying problems in the beginning but management corrected them and after that we had a blast
Russell M. from Pikeville, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in April, 2010 This cabin rental was for the celebration of my girlfriends neice, it was her sweet sixteen and she wanted to come to Gatlinburg. We searched long and hard to find a cabin with the ammenities to entertain her and friends. I happened to come upon the website and quoted a price and decided to call. That call was very helpful and we booked the cabin. Upon arrival we were greeted by managers who were out on the property, and they escorted us to our cabin. This was a first and very helpful, as we arrived after dark and later than planned. The cabin location was very close to downtown and local shopping, Food City got a lot of business. The only down fall to this rental was the gravel road down to the cabin, and i assume will change because it looks as if this resort is in early stages of construction. It was overall a very plesent stay and memorable. I will definatly consider them on my next vissit and give them an opportunity for my business.
A guest from Kildeer, IL recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in March, 2010 A fantastic vacation getaway spot. Cabin in great condition, furniture, appliances all top of line. Clean, quiet. Movie theater is great. Small things to consider for improvement: in amenities, maybe adding shower caps, small bottles of shampoos/conditioners. Also check out time seems too early to be at 10AM. The location is not particularly easy to find, particularly driving in the evenings. Suggest to make signs more visible. Otherwise, an enthusiastic "10" for the property!!!
Barry M. from Jeffersonville, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in March, 2010 I was very satisfied with my stay and cannot wait to visit again. I would like to request that my cabin be closer to the entrance.
Mark J. from Mobile, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in February, 2010 We had several issues (Jacuzzi leaking, broken toilet seat, wrong combination, Door left unlocked by staff, cabin decoration fell). The property managers took care of them.

Brenda R. from Clay City, IN recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2009 There was only one little negative thing - it was the road we were on and the parking. It was gravel and they must have had a lot of rain as there were large ruts where the road was washed out. I believe they will be paving soon.....but this was really a minor issue considering how nice the cabin was.
A guest from Atlanta, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2009 My family and I loved this cabin. It was so peaceful and secluded, yet it had all the comforts of home. The theater room was amazing. We will be returning next year and hope to stay even longer.
Brian K. from Marshfield, MA recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in August, 2009 Our family had a fantastic 7 nights at Firefly Lodge. The cabin was exactly as described on the web and in the pictures. Everything from check-in to check-out went off with out a hitch. The amentities were perfect and everything worked as expected. The setting was beautiful and relaxing.
Mylon L. from Colleyville, TX recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in June, 2009 Everything about the house was perfect. My only problem was that the road was not paved all the way to the house yet and the last 100 yards were a little dangerous on a motorcycle. I'm sure it will be paved in time for me to visit again next year.
Sharon A. from Smithville, MO recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in May, 2009 We went to Elk Springs Resort as a last chance getaway before half our kids leave for college this year. Our lodge was far enough away for quiet, but close enough for entertainment. We enjoyed every moment. Every person we spoke with in your organization was professional and friendly, and your customer service, including internet, was outstanding. Many thanks for a wonderful "time out" for our family before the journey of "real life" for our older kids begins.
Bobbi H. from Sarasota, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 8 days in May, 2009 Everything was wonderful. The only problem we had was with the local telephone system. Someone should explain how to use the to call cabin to cabin. Larry was great and right on everything. Bobbi Hicks
Chris C. from Grosse Pointe Park, MI recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009 We stayed in the Firefly lodge and were extremely impressed. A great cabin in a great setting. We have three small children and it was a perfect launching point for day trips into the Smokey Mountains. I would highly recommend to any family or group.
A guest from Knoxville, Tennessee recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in April, 2009 the customer service was the best I have seen....i wish i knew the names but the office staff and maintenace man went above an beyond the call of duty...they made a lasting impression
A guest from Prospect, KY recommends this property. Stayed for 6 days in March, 2009 An exceptional stay at an exceptional place. The cabin (if you can call it that) was terrific and a delight in every respect. I have but one suggestion and that involves directions. Altho we had no major hiccups finding it, a better description of the routes, lights, and landmarks would be extremely helpful, particularly if someone is arriving at night. Other than that, I give this property SIX STARS out of FIVE.
Property Manager Response:
Tom, thanks for the review. We have recently updated our directions to make it much easier. We really appreciate the feedback, it's very helpfull.
What a wonderful experience for such a decent price!!
Reviewed by: robin d. recommends this property. Stayed for 2 days in February, 2009 We had a blast! the rooms were so big!! All the appliances worked. It was by far the most luxurious cabin rental I have ever experienced. (Contemporary) I loved it and I have aleady recommended it to two other friends!
Katie T. from Suwanee, GA recommends this property. Stayed for 3 days in January, 2009 The lodge was just beautiful. Perfect for a weekend away from home. We barely left the cabin the entire weekend. We had plans to go out on the town but the lodge was entertaining enough itself. So much to do in one house. We had a wonderful time and are considering coming back for next New Year's.
Sherri M. from Orange Park, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in January, 2009 Cabin had every imaginable amenity we needed for a cozy get away. The theater room was a huge favorite and the proximity to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge was ideal. Loved the Firefly cabin as it was further up the mountain and didn't seem to be as close to the other cabins as some of the first cabins you see when you enter the resort. Very thoughtfully done.
A guest from Dayton, OH recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in November, 2008 The cabin was top notch! Everything was as advertised, and we felt it was a great buy for the money. My wife inadvertently left her wallet in the cabin at checkout, and the staff retrieved it and got it back to us a day after they were notified. The only issue we had was with the temperature on the second floor, as it was always 10-15 degrees warmer, but I guess that just comes with the territory. We will definitely be back to Elk Springs.
David E. from Jacksonville, FL recommends this property. Stayed for 7 days in October, 2008 The only "complaint" we had was that to get the downstairs warm the upstairs was very hot.....separate thermostats on future builds might help.
Dennis C. from Beaufort, SC recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in September, 2008 My husband has been deployed for the fourth time in Iraq (USMC) and descided to take a vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. We would like to thank you for the opportunity to stay in the Firefly Lodge for our vacation. The time spent was a cozy, comfortable, and fun time. We were looking for a three bedroom that included a movie theater, hot tum, air hockey, and the Wii. This cabin included all of that and more. There is the leak in the bunkbed room upstairs. During a long shower we would hear a drip for a while then the water would leak into the hot tub in the master suite downstairs. We were very concerned with the electrical lines for the recessed lighting and the wood getting warped. Second, the noise that comes from upstairs above the master suite, mainly by walking or tv, would wake us because of no carpet on the floor. Third, the cabin was nicely read up except it was dusty. I do have a problem with dust. If there is a large amount of dust, I tend to sneeze alot. I looked around and noticed baseboards, light fixtures, wall hangings, window sills, and electronics not cleaned. The following are small items to bring to your attention: Bunkbed bathroom door locks but can be pushed open while locked, Upstairs King bedroom jacuzzi handle wiggles, theater room chair at the wall on the bottom is broke, a cup was cracked, and plate chipped. Thank you for switching out the toaster for us to make toast so quickly. Even though these things were a concern, we made it a priority to have a wonderful time together as a family. The cabin is very beautifully made and nicely done. I love the steps
Beautiful, clean, and spacious log cabin in the Smokies! I Couldn't have asked for more peaceful surroundings!
Tiffany H. from Houma, LA recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in August, 2008 In August of 2008, we stayed at Elk Springs Resort in Firefly Lodge due to a mandatory evacuation because of Hurricane Gustav. Our home town took a direct hit with the eye of the storm, so we decided to make a vacation out the evacuation. Upon arrival of Elk Springs Resort, I was impressed with the property and our beautiful log cabin. The cabin was very spacious and nicely equipped with everything we needed (and more) during our stay. We couldn't believe how nice the cabin was for such a good price. And to top things off, the staff was very generous at our time of need by allowing us stay in the cabin for 3 additional nights at less than half of the standard nightly rate. We are very thankful that there were kind hearted people willing to help us out. I would recommend Elk Springs Resort to anyone looking for breath-taking scenery and a true log cabin vacation in the Smokies.
