Called to have repaired. Guys who came said it had problems in the past. Made them aware of it at checkout again. Hopefully, they will repair permanently. Still had three other toilets in the place, so we just didn't use that one. All other plumbing worked fine. All that aside, the place was very clean. Had a raccoon on the deck to visit one day. Family had a wonderful time. Absolutely stunning views and setting. Beautiful place! You will enjoy it! |

The Levert & Starrs wonderful getaway Anthony L. from Birmingham, AL recommends this property. Stayed for 5 days in August, 2012 When you think of Heaven- think of Elk Springs resort Cabins. Our recent stay was just "AWESOME" we all had the most wonderful time. Our Grandchildren didn't want to leave and neither did we. From the moment you enter the property until the time you will leave will be just breath taking. Heaven here on earth is one of the only ways for us to describe ESR. Whoever designed these rentals didn't leave a stone unturned. They covered any and everything a family could want except "Groceries" and I'm sure if they knew your eating habits they would have tried to arrange it for you. We are now planning our trip back next year. Again we thank the Elk Springs Resort staff for a five (5) star week. When we first got there we went to cook a pizza and the pans were dirty. The playroom ended up being in the livingroom area so you coulldnt watch t.v and play airhockey at the same time. It was very distractng. Also we noticed that water would come down the wall in the bathroom downstairs when someone upstairs took a shower. The condition of the media room was such that the outside of the seats were peeling off. I dissappointed. Beautiful cabin located in the artsy community. About 10 minutes from downtown. Cabin was just as presented in website images. Furniture was current and in great condition. The home theatre was fantastic for kids but there were lots of tears in the chairs. Overall a wonderful experience and plan to visit again next year. Only complaint was the HVAC was really out of balance. The downstairs was cold and the bedrooms upset were very hot (folks sleeping upstairs were up all night sweating). We opened windows the second night and solved that issue.Thanks for a great vacation home! |

Stayed for 6 days in June, 2011 inside cabin was dusty looked like it was not being swept, hair balls left in corners of bathroom, pool table sticks and rack was damaged, outside back flood lights did not work, hot tub was dirty after one day of being there called to have it cleaned, guy took out filter sprayed cleaner on it put back in, the filter clearly needed changed it was old after that hot tub had odd odor to it. Other than those things we had a great stay, probably next time would stay in a different cabin with different cleaning people that are responsible for it. However, several amenities had not been properly maintained, such as DVD players, the theatre room furniture, the hot tub and the grill. Maintenance fixed some items, but not others. Also, our cabin was down a gravel road that was apparently scheduled for a major overhaul during our stay, which created a lot of dust and noise. This would be a 5-star review if they could get a handle on the maintenance and repair items. The hot tub, the jacuzzis, the games and big screen... what fun!! It was decorated beautifully as well. The washer and dryer were much appreciated, too, with our large family. We were disappointed, though, with the cleanliness of the cabin. The floors, sticky and muddy, obviously weren't mopped from last guests,making us more on alert to the dirty windows. The hot tub's jets kept coming out for us, too. But with just a little more attention to detail, we could have given five stars all the questions. Thanks! Great Cabin, Horrible Theater Austin M. from Churubusco, IN does not recommend this property. Stayed for 6 days in January, 2011 As expected, when we arrived at the cabins again this year, they were in excellent condition and were very clean. They are a great place to come and relax. This year, however, we decided to go for the Home Theater cabin. We were excited to spend the week with our Playstation 3 (that we brought) watching Blu Ray DVDs and playing games. We also brought all of our Wii games to use on the rented Wii system the resort offers. However, Once we arrived, there were signs in the home theater room that prohibit the use of gaming systems in the home theater. Also, the receiver would not accept any video inputs (nor would we have been allowed to connect to them if it did, per the sign on the wall), so watching ANY of the BluRay movies that we brought was out of the question. If this would have been specified before our arrival, then it would have been one thing. However, broadcasting that there is a home theater room and that gaming consoles are rentable upon request, to me, implies that the theater room will be usable for this. I think it is unreasonable to expect that guests assume that they will play their games on a small LCD screen when they have rented a cabin with a 9' theater screen. You could not even watch TV in the theater room. It was strictly for DVD viewing. If it weren't for this, I would give the experience 5 stars across the board. However, since I feel that the cabin is misrepresented, I have to knock it down a few levels. We've had the projectors tampered with and damaged, so it is not allowed.There are a full selection of A/V connections on the pre-amp DVD system that you can connect to and this is allowed. So you can feel free to connect to this. Sorry for the confusion, but we simply cannot allow direct connections to the projectors in order to ensure the projectors are in good working order for each guest that rents the cabins. |

The little things do MATTER most! A guest from West Point, MS recommends this property. Stayed for 4 days in December, 2010 I booked here for the week of Christmas and I must say the most memorable thing about our stay was the scenery created by mother nature! It snowed and was BEAUTIFUL, however there were somethings I felt like should have been taken care of due to how much money people are charged to book a stay during the holidays. Firstly when we got their we discovered that a pool stick was broken in half but had been put together to look as though it was fine. Secondly when we got ready to play The Michael Jackson Experience on Wii and when we pulled back the rug let's just say it gave a whole new meaning to swept under the rug. Dirt was everywhere! The cookware that they provided stuck and my mother had a hard time using the pots and pans. The jacuzzi tub in my spouse's and I room had a broken faucet! It worked but had to be adjusted! There was also a plank in my sisters room that was coming a part in the ceiling. For the money we paid I feel that the cabin should have been PERFECT! Call me crazy, but I expect to get what I pay for. Theater room was AMAZING and the view and scenery were also AMAZING and I loved the fireplace and other kitchen equipment!!! My biggest problem was the rudeness of a lady that returned phone calls. We got stuck several times on the ice and it took us about three hours to get out. We had to be pulled by a truck. She would answer the phone with complete disconnect. She was very rushing to get off the phone. I want to be made to feel like my stay there is just as important as anyone else's!!! In spite of the issues encountered we will be booking again in hopes these issues are corrected. We received record snow in the area and the guests staying in your cabin were afraid to leave. They ended up staying an extra night and checked out 1 hour before your scheduled arrival at 3pm. We contacted you and suggested that arrive at 3pm for your check in and not earlier as the cabin would not be ready AND that there was an ice condition on one of the roads near the property. After talking to the city they indicated that it would be remedied in the afternoon and thus we recommended that you do not arrive early. We received a call from you at noon that you were near the cabin but were stuck on the ice on the same road where we issued the warnings. I do apologize if we were brief on our conversations with you, but we were trying to accomodate many guests who had travel questions and it required us to be brief. After indicating that you wanted to get into the cabin we rushed to get it ready for you based on your early arrival. In retrospect, we should have requested that you wait so we could address the cabin correctly as opposed to try and accomodate you so quickly.It is important to note that after your check in you did call our office and we dispatched our cleaning crew within 10 minutes of your call to completely clean the entire cabin, do dishes, and change all linens that were just changed. I think your expectations are absolutely reasonable, but given our standard check in time and your early arrival we did try and accomodate you at the sacrifice of quality. We'll be better prepared if this should occur again. |

It was very clean and close enough to everything we wanted to do and see. It would have been a bonus to have had a more expansive view of something other than the nearby woods, but we did have plenty of privacy. The home theater room was awesome! We watched movies there almost every night. We do wish there were a few more towels and definitely needed extra tp - especially with 8 of us there! Brandi did a super job of getting our cabins close together as we booked seven cabins and had 45 people attend. The location was perfect and everyone had a good time. Our cabin was nice except for a few minor issues. The cabin was rather noisey due to little insulation. It was a problem for us as we had a toddler and the sounds from adults talking downstairs traveled up to the bedrooms. We enjoyed the week at Elks Springs Resort visiting with family and making memories. |

Stayed for 2 days in April, 2010 This cabin rental was for the celebration of my girlfriends neice, it was her sweet sixteen and she wanted to come to Gatlinburg. We searched long and hard to find a cabin with the ammenities to entertain her and friends. I happened to come upon the website and quoted a price and decided to call. That call was very helpful and we booked the cabin. Upon arrival we were greeted by managers who were out on the property, and they escorted us to our cabin. This was a first and very helpful, as we arrived after dark and later than planned. The cabin location was very close to downtown and local shopping, Food City got a lot of business. The only down fall to this rental was the gravel road down to the cabin, and i assume will change because it looks as if this resort is in early stages of construction. It was overall a very plesent stay and memorable. I will definatly consider them on my next vissit and give them an opportunity for my business. |

Cabin in great condition, furniture, appliances all top of line. Clean, quiet. Movie theater is great. Small things to consider for improvement: in amenities, maybe adding shower caps, small bottles of shampoos/conditioners. Also check out time seems too early to be at 10AM. The location is not particularly easy to find, particularly driving in the evenings. Suggest to make signs more visible. Otherwise, an enthusiastic "10" for the property!!! |

Altho we had no major hiccups finding it, a better description of the routes, lights, and landmarks would be extremely helpful, particularly if someone is arriving at night. My wife inadvertently left her wallet in the cabin at checkout, and the staff retrieved it and got it back to us a day after they were notified. The only issue we had was with the temperature on the second floor, as it was always 10-15 degrees warmer, but I guess that just comes with the territory. We will definitely be back to Elk Springs. |

Stayed for 4 days in September, 2008 My husband has been deployed for the fourth time in Iraq (USMC) and descided to take a vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. We would like to thank you for the opportunity to stay in the Firefly Lodge for our vacation. The time spent was a cozy, comfortable, and fun time. We were looking for a three bedroom that included a movie theater, hot tum, air hockey, and the Wii. This cabin included all of that and more. There is the leak in the bunkbed room upstairs. During a long shower we would hear a drip for a while then the water would leak into the hot tub in the master suite downstairs. We were very concerned with the electrical lines for the recessed lighting and the wood getting warped. Second, the noise that comes from upstairs above the master suite, mainly by walking or tv, would wake us because of no carpet on the floor. Third, the cabin was nicely read up except it was dusty. I do have a problem with dust. If there is a large amount of dust, I tend to sneeze alot. I looked around and noticed baseboards, light fixtures, wall hangings, window sills, and electronics not cleaned. The following are small items to bring to your attention: Bunkbed bathroom door locks but can be pushed open while locked, Upstairs King bedroom jacuzzi handle wiggles, theater room chair at the wall on the bottom is broke, a cup was cracked, and plate chipped. Thank you for switching out the toaster for us to make toast so quickly. Even though these things were a concern, we made it a priority to have a wonderful time together as a family. The cabin is very beautifully made and nicely done. I love the steps |

Our home town took a direct hit with the eye of the storm, so we decided to make a vacation out the evacuation. Upon arrival of Elk Springs Resort, I was impressed with the property and our beautiful log cabin. The cabin was very spacious and nicely equipped with everything we needed (and more) during our stay. We couldn't believe how nice the cabin was for such a good price. And to top things off, the staff was very generous at our time of need by allowing us stay in the cabin for 3 additional nights at less than half of the standard nightly rate. We are very thankful that there were kind hearted people willing to help us out. I would recommend Elk Springs Resort to anyone looking for breath-taking scenery and a true log cabin vacation in the Smokies. |
