WEEKEND STAY ON THE ISLAND

The island is always a great place to stay, location, price and view. The location of the condo was excellent, after school started so not much traffic and low quantities of people at pool and beach which was perfect. We had really rowdy neighbors each day we were there and we were lucky enough they plunked down beside us on the beach. The condo itself needed to update on painting the inside, it was scuffed up on the walls pretty good and the bed linens seemed really worn, however over all we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

The kitchen didn't have too much in the way of cooking utensils. The elevators were extremely slow to get on. The couch/bed is messed up. That said this was the best vacation we have taken, we will be back next year, just different condo #.

We stayed at the Island Princess. The accommodations and view were fantastic. The amenities were also a big plus. I do have a few issues with this property. The first is the elevator. The elevator is on the outside of the building and has very little if any air conditioning. It was also very slow so by the time the doors opened it was normally very crowded. The second is the beach chair setup. The chairs were not ready until 9:00am. This is later then most of the other places that I have stayed. I like getting out earlier before it gets too hot. The third issue was the pool. It also did not open until 9:00am and the water was extremely warm. I don't know how much fresh water they put in but it was not enough. I enjoy the pool to be cool and refreshing, not warm like bath water. If you are a late riser then the beach chairs and pool will not be an issue for you.

Unit 606 is right over the pool, making it quite noisy at night. The condo was spacious & comfortable. We arrived @ 2, knowing that checkin was 4. We were told that the room was still being cleaned. I went to the room, it had already been cleaned. We went back,clerk refused to let us have the key. A little after 4 another lady came in & asked what was wrong. She very kindly made a phone call then gave us the keys. We knew the checkin time was 4, but making us sit there for 2 hours when the room was already cleaned & ready was rude and frustrating. We have stayed with B&S many times and will again, just hope we get a different reservation person. She did not want to go out of her way to confirm the room was ready & acted like we were bothering her. The other lady did it in about 2 minutes & we were on our way.

Not happy with the unit-606. Needs updating. furniture, kitchen utensils, glasses, etc....could use fresh paint on walls that were dirty. Stayed in 4 other units at Island Princess in the past and was very pleased with them.

The view was wonderful. The condo was very clean and nicely furnished. We have been coming to Okaloosa Island for the last several years and plan to make it our yearly vacation.

Although it rained for the first two days, my family and I had a wonderful time in Fort Walton. The view was gorgeous!!! I will definitely be back next year, or maybe sooner!! Thanks for a great vacation.

Had to drive everywhere but the sites were worth it. Beach was wonderful. Could not see water from pool. Room was perfect for us, with amazing views and every clean.

Management was hard to reach since we were there over the weekend. Toilet was backed up and so was the bathtub. Unit was not as clean as we would've liked, but the location was BEAUTIFUL and we enjoyed the relaxation.

The condo probably had not been used all winter and was not checked out before we arrived. The dishes in cabinets were dirty and still had dried food on them. The floors were sandy and carpet was dirty. Porch was sandy and chairs were dirty. Called and spoke with Brooks and Shorey but nothing was done, not even a apology. We love Fort Walton area and have stayed with Brook and Shorey before at the same place but a different condo. It was very nice and clean so we decided to bring our family the next year to the same place but we had to have a larger condo. What a mistake, but I did learn a valuable lesson.
