- Dial your international dialing prefix. It is common to place a "+" sign at the beginning of phone numbers followed by the country code and the phone number. The "+" sign
represents the international dialing prefix. The international dial prefix varies depending on the country you are calling from

Calculating Time Differences using GMT: To determine the number of hours a location is ahead or behind your local time, you can calculate
the difference in GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) between the locations. For example, when calling from the US Pacific Time Zone (which is -8 hr GMT) to
Sweden (which is +1 hr GMT) the time difference is + 9 hours (12 noon in the US Pacific Time Zone would be 9 pm in Sweden).
