Stay at this cozy cottage on Opinicon Lake! Enjoy the great fishing and swimming from this quiet setting on on the Rideau. This cottage has access to a shared beach that is just a short walk from the cottage.
Gaze at the stars at night as you sit around the camp fire, or take a leisurely row around the many islands, or through the canal to the historic lock stations in one of the provided boats from your private cottage.
Opinicon lake has always been famous for it's bass and pike fishing and it is great for water-sports and wildlife watching.
This cottage is located on a private road and it includes a vacant lot next to the cottage for extra privacy!
The Rideau Canal is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and was rated #2 as an exceptional historic site destination by National Geographic.
The Rideau Lakes Region is a great place to explore. You can take advantage of the great fishing, boating, swimming, water-skiing, or lock through the historic canal system to the other attached lakes and towns. In the surrounding towns and cities there are also lots of activities, and events to participate in including, golf, historic tours, boat tours, shopping restaurants, parties, and lots more!
This cottage is conveniently located not far off of highway #15 at the halfway point between Toronto and Montreal, 40 minutes from the Canada/USA border, and only one hour and 25 minutes from Ottawa.

Included on property: fire pit, two row-boats (9' and 12'), dock with power outlets, fully stocked kitchen, no satellite, but the TV gets about 15 channels.
Hot tub available with rental for extra fee.
Beds: Each bedroom has a double bed.
Linen service is included for bedding. Renters must bring their own towels, or they can be rented for $12/person (this includes three face-cloths, three hand towels, three bath towels, and one bath mat).
