From the private parking area, you ascend a few stairs leading to a large south facing terrace with a beautiful long, sinuous pool with rock cascades and a rustic style Spanish covered porch that really belongs on a magazine cover. On this large terrace, there are comfortable sun loungers and plenty of space to sit pool side (either in the shade or in the sun) and take in the wonderful uninterrupted sea views. The entrance to the villa is off of this terrace, which means the pool and terrace area can be completely closed off to young children merely by closing the front door. This enables parents to relax if they have young children that aren’t good swimmers by knowing their children can’t enter the pool area without them.

Upon entering the villa, you are faced with an enormous, beautifully decorated open plan lounge and dining room with views to the sea from every imaginable angle. There are 2 large sliding glass doors that lead to terraces, one of which is covered. This is a perfect spot for al fresco dining as it is very close to the large, state of the art kitchen. There is a lovely herb garden on the terrace just outside the kitchen door to assist you in creating delightful Mediterranean meals.

On the entry level, there is also a bedroom with a queen size bed and an ensuite bathroom. This makes Villa Mira Mar a nice choice for 2 families vacationing together or grandparents vacationing with their children/grandchildren as adult couples can have privacy since the 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms are on separate floors.

Upstairs there are 3 very ample sized bedrooms, one of which can sleep up to 4 people (children just love this room)! The master bedroom has a large and luxurious ensuite bath done completely in tumbled marble. It really is superb. There is a large walk in shower with a bench to sit on and relax while the water massages your back. There is also a lovely round tub for two. Even the master bathroom has lovely uninterrupted sea views! As for the master bedroom itself, the views are beyond description. There are 5 large windows from which to enjoy the amazing views of the sea, the village and beach of Salobrena and the mountains. There is a king size bed that floats in the middle of the room allowing for maximum optimisation of the views. There is a terrace off of the master bedroom. The other 2 bedrooms on this floor also have great views and terraces. There is a lovely guest bathroom with a combination shower/bath for the use of both upstairs bedrooms.

Activities & Local Area:
Within a 5 minute walk from the villa, there is a community pool, separate children’s pool, tennis court, table tennis, football pitch/soccer field and playground. Our guests have unlimited use of these facilities.

The villa is located on a hill just slightly above the picturesque village of Salobrena on the Costa Tropical of Granada in southern Spain. It is a mere 5 minutes away from the beach, restaurants and shops. Salobrena lies directly on the coast between vast fields of sugar-cane and tropical fruit orchards. The town literally clings to the steep walls of an immense rock overlooking the Mediterranean. Mercifully, Salobrena escaped the building boom of the eighties and offers one of the most virgin coasts in Southern Spain. Salobreña enjoys an exceptional microclimate thanks to the high peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains which shield Salobreña against the scorching heat and the extreme cold that inland cities undergo during the summer and winter periods. A major appeal of this area is its proximity to the historic city of Granada and the breathtaking Alhambra Palace (45 minutes), the Alpujarras with its authentically Spanish small mountain villages and the Sierra Nevada Mountains (75 minutes), where it is possible to ski from November to April. The closest golf course is less than 10 minutes away from the villa.
