Off the common tourist tracks, situated in the south-eastern part of Tuscany and close to Lake Trasimeno, Picchio was built three hundred years ago and is still owned by the Polvani family, who restored the estate recently. Great care was applied to maintain the estate's architectural characteristics and particular scenery, and 6 comfortable apartments were equipped to create the perfect environment for your holidays in Tuscany. Surrounded by wooded hills and olive trees, you can relax in absolute tranquility, have a rest at the spacious swimming pool, and discover nature by bike or undertaking extended walks. Nearby cities of Cortona (21kms), Arezzo (24kms), Siena (67kms) and Florence (97kms) are easily accessible if you feel like enjoying culture, history or going shopping. The small medieval town of Castiglion Fiorentino, just 8 kms away, offers also a lot: etruscan excavations, the gothic church of San Francesco, the Pinacoteca and works of important Italian artists and goldsmiths of the 13th and 14th century that are exhibited at the museum. General Information
A laundry room with washing mashine, iron and ironing board are at the guests' disposal.
The pool is opened from the end of May until the end of September. This period may slightly change, depending on weather conditions. Deckchairs are available, but guests are requested to bring along their own bath towels (for the pool).
Each apartment is sufficiently equipped with bed linen, table cloths, tea towels and bath towels, which are changed once weekly. In the case that guests wish their linens to be changed more frequently, a fee will be requested.
Each apartment has got a terrace, which is furnished with a table and chairs.
Upon request, child's beds are available for all apartments. Should you wish to lend a bicycle, please inform the owner in good time.

Prices are calculated in Euro and include normal use of hot and cold water, a weekly bed linen, towel/tea towel change (swimming towels are not provided) and a final cleaning of the apartment
In case guests wish their linens and towels be changed more frequently, a fee is to be paid on site (21,00 EURO for each additional change).
