Castaway Ocean Lodge is located in West Green Harbour on Nova Scotia’s Lighthouse Coast. This vacation cottage is the quintessential Canadian log cabin in an oceanfront setting. Elevated, it enjoys a spectacular view of West Green Harbours tranquil waters. Only 8 years old, this newly built vacation rental combines the efficiency of modern design with the charm and character of the traditional log home. Constructed from large honey brown logs, and featuring an open-concept living room, dining room and kitchen the atmosphere is both spacious and warm. At the heart of this Nova Scotia vacation rental is a floor to ceiling fieldstone, wood-burning fireplace. Two sets of sliding patio doors lead out to a large wooden deck that spans the length and breadth of the cottage and takes full advantage of the truly spectacular view. Patio furniture and propane BBQ complete the picture and make for comfortable outdoor living. Walk down from the deck, soak in the hot tub and roast marshmallows over the open fire in the fire pit. Located on either side of the house, both bedrooms have queen size beds; log bedside tables, plenty of closet space and patio doors that open up onto the deck. Wake up each morning and while still in bed look out and enjoy the view. The cottage comes equipped with a four-piece bath. Towels are provided.

· Private Ocean front This delightful cottage has a small rocky beach and private ocean access. Because the cottage is located on a quite bay, the waterfront is suitable for launching a kayak or canoe. Kayaks can be rented locally. Close to Shelburne, with its restaurants, shops and other conveniences, Castaway Ocean Lodge is nicely situated to explore the Evangeline Trail, Lighthouse Route and the South Shore. Yarmouth is a 1 ¼ hours away; while Halifax, Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy’s Cove and Digby are all pleasant day trips.

Rental Procedure
To secure your vacation rental, a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 CDN per week is due upon booking. Your booking is not confirmed until this deposit has been received. The balance of the rental fee and a damage deposit of $250.00 are due 90 days prior to your arrival. Payment can be made either by Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Cancellation Policy:
Should you wish to cancel your reservation; your cancellation notice must be made in writing – either by fax, email or mail. For cancellations received between 60 and 90 days prior to your arrival date, 75% of the rental fee is forfeited. For cancellations received between 30 and 60 days prior to your arrival date, 50% of the rental fee is forfeited. 30 days prior to the arrival date, 100% of the rental fee is forfeited. In all cases, the damage deposit of $250.00 is refunded in full. Sandy Lane Vacation Rentals will make every effort to re-rent the property, however we cannot guarantee re-rental. No-shows, late arrival and early departures after arrival are all non-refundable.
