*********************************************************************Ideally situated in the heart of the Perigord Noir, on the edge of the medieval village of Saint-Cyprien, Le Tourondel is ideal for 6 up to 8 guests. The house, built around 1850, is divided into 2 independent fully equipped dwellings and has been tastefully restored in 2003. These 2 dwellings are rented out together during in July & August. This allows 2 families to holiday together while each has their own living space.
However, in the mid and low seasons, Le Tourondel can be let up to 4 guests at a reduced price. Le Tourondel is perched on a hillside and has a panoramic view over all the plain surrounding Saint-Cyprien, a dynamic village with shops, restaurants, bars, and a large colored market on sunday morning. Le Tourondel Bas comprises :

on first floor :
- a twin bedroom
Outside, there is a private terrace with table and chairs. Le Tourondel Haut, comprises:

- a large living room with an opened kitchen and dining area.

- a mezzane level with a double sofa bed to sleep a further two guests.
- a separated double bedded room
- a gallery which overloooks the living and with an outside balcony. Outside, the 3600m² garden is all closed.
You will relax near the 6mx4m swimming pool, surrounded by wooden decking, with a protective fence for children ; and enjoy lunches and dinners under the covered terrace with a built in barbecue.

Le tourondel is ideally situated on the earth of Black Perigord. It is therefore ideally situated for exploring the beautiful region of Black Perigord and sampling the local specialities in the many excellent restaurants nearby.
The Black Perigord dominates the Vezere and Dordogne Valleys. A countryside timelessly beautiful since prehistoric times. Montignac, Font-de-Gaume, les Eyzies-de-Tayac (Prehistoric Capital) la Roque-Saint-Christophe, le Bugue, Limeuil, Terrasson, Saint-Cyprien and Sarlat, Gastronomic Capital, these are the high points. There too many castles and caves to mention.

lovers, passive or sportive, will find everything to their taste – Golf at Lolivarie at Siorac-en-Périgord, go Karts at Saint-Geniès, River Boat trips in the " Valley of five Castles ", Mountain bikes and canoes-kayaks in Prehistoric Valley, the Goose farm at Campagnac, the Animal Park and attractions at " Jacquou’s farm ", swimming from Saint Cyprien beach, the Pont de Vicq or the Roque-Gageac The medieval village of St Cyprien is easily reached from Paris or London in a few hours, and Spain is only a few hours drive away. The climate in Southern France is great, making even a winter holiday enjoyable.
