This country house boasts breathtaking views and is ideal as a retreat from modern life. It is located in the beautiful area of Los Guajares, in a tranquil setting, giving the feeling of 'being away from everything', whilst at the same time being just 15 mins from the Mediterranean, 30 mins from Las Alpujarras, an hour from the Sierra Nevada (where skiing is possible December to April and under an hour from the Moorish capital of Granada). It is the perfect place to escape the pressures and demands of modern life, spending your precious free time in the most stunning part of Spain. Nearby are the beautiful, and as yet largely undiscovered villages, of Los Guajares. Here, one can find bars, a bank, bakery, grocers, restaurants and so on, in an area which is subtropical, with bananas, olives, figs, avocados etc. growing in abundance. On the coast, lies the Spanish town of Motril, where there are a wide range of shops, restaurants and hypermarkets, Salobreña, Almuñecar and Nerja.The house lies in its own grounds, including a newly-built private swimming pool, set in a large grove. The pool (11.5m x 5.5m) is divided into a safe toddlers' pool and a larger pool for adults. There is a barbecue on the patio. Guests are welcome to help themselves to the fruits in season, which include oranges, lemons, almonds, avocados, figs, grapes and loquat. There is a very large terrace with built-in stone benches, outdoor dining tables and chairs. This is the perfect spot to enjoy the starry nights whilst listening to the crickets and frogs. There are also sun loungers by the pool. With the exception of three houses nearby, virtually no other buildings are in sight, offering a high level of privacy.

Granada is the nearest airport (60km), has just opened to international flights and serves already 4 destinations in GB as well as 1 in France, Switzerland, Italy and Holland. Malaga has flights to just about all destinations in Europe. we can recommend car hire companies with very competitive prices.
