Stroll through the small lanes which lead you to the 12th century church and the epicerie with bar, stop and enjoy an aperitif in the small square shaded by the trees before you head back to your villa for dinner under the stars by your private swimming pool. The Gardens
The gardens are large and totally private surrounded on 2 sides by olive groves. Stocked with Fig, Apricot, Cherry, Pear, Almond and Olive trees also grape vines and guests are invited to enjoy the fruits of the season. The children’s play area has a Wendy house packed with toys, a slide and table with sun parasol, next to this is our bouldrome area for an energetic game of petangue, or for the less active, relax with a good book and watch the children play from the canopied swing seat under the almond and olive trees. In the lower rear area of the garden there is a mosaic stone bench situated under fir trees alongside our own small vineyard, a place to enjoy the late evening sun with one, two or possibly three chilled bottles of our local rose wine.
There is a built in BBQ and an area next to the pool for dining ‘al fresco’, this is under a passion flower covered pergola which is ideal for dining in the shade during the day and can be illuminated for dining at night under the stars.
We also have a covered terrace which offers shade from the midday sun and we have provided rattan furniture for your comfort.
Swimming Pool Area
The pool is for the exclusive use of La Cardabelle guests and is enclosed and located within a terraced area surrounded by flowering shrubs and rosemary bushes. The tiled pool is 10m x 4.5m has Roman Steps and shade is provided by sun parasols. The area is totally enclosed by attractive rustic fencing and entry to the pool area is through a self closing gate, this has a double handed operation to open which meets the requirements for pool safety under French Law, introduced to stop small children from wandering into a pool area unaccompanied, no need to worry about alarms or covers. 8 sun loungers are provided as are pool toys for the children during your stay.
